Self-evaluation in perspective of Surah Al-IsrÄ verse 14th
This paper describes, knows, understands, and analyzes self-evaluation from the perspective of surah Al-IsrÄ verse 14. Self-evaluation in psychology is called self-introspection, which means self-correction, while in Islam, it is called muḥÄsabah or muḥÄsabah al-nafá¹£. MuḥÄsabah, in the person of a Muslim in particular, is an attempt to count and evaluate himself, how many sins he has committed and what good he has not done. This study is qualitative research under the literature study method, which focuses on the question of self-evolution from the perspective of surah Al-Isra verse 14. The data source comes from the ministry of religious affairs\u27 translation of the Qur\u27an, and books related to self-evaluation contain self-evaluation from surah Al-Isra\u27 verse 14. Data were analyzed using the qualitative data analysis method. Self-evaluation in QS Al-Isra\u27: 14 refers to the word al-ḥisÄb, if an evaluation may be done by oneself on all the deeds that have been done. Explaining this, in surah Al-IsrÄ\u27 verse 14, Allah evaluates His creatures on the day of reckoning (the trial of the Here-after). Therefore, it is a man who is commanded to judge his own deeds. If it is associated with the point of evaluation of education, the meaning of al-ḥisÄb indicates that the assessment results depend on the intensity of the subject in completing the exam question. Therefore, the task of educators is to motivate the subject of the learner to learn and maximum when completing the exam question seriously

From an international English language assessment framework to a teacher-based assessment: A study of primary English teachers\u27 agentive perspectives and projections
This study explores four primary English teachers\u27 agentive perspectives about assessment in their schools. Given the challenges brought by the abolition of International Standard School (ISS), the changed status of the school, and the exclusion of English from the 2013 National Education Curriculum (NEC), a teacher-based assessment was the only solution to the unavailability of assessment guidelines and the unsuitability of assessment materials and methods. Employing teacher agency theory, this study examines the agentive sides of the teachers\u27 perspectives as they would represent the teachers\u27 strategic solutions toward the school\u27s emerging problems. The teacher-based assessment was expected to accommodate the school\u27s context, the students, and the subject taught. This instrumental case study\u27s data was collected through semi-structured interviews and focus group discussion, which was then analyzed through six phases of thematic analysis and by employing nVivo12 software. The study indicates that the challenges brought by the changed educational policies reinforced collaborative work amongst the teachers. The teachers\u27 perspectives also represent their agentive projections toward English language assessment which was heavily shaped by the teachers\u27 previous assessment experiences during ISS and their ultimate teaching objectives. The findings are expected to provide insightful knowledge about how English teachers responded to shifted educational policies and projected to accommodate the school\u27s specific contexts of assessment. The findings are also expected to explain how people\u27s perspectives can be examined from an agency perspective
The accuracy of the selection of approaches, methods, and media for the characteristics of combined science materials
Abstract: This paper presents the results of a video analysis of learning activities to compare the accuracy of the selection of teaching strategies (approaches, methods, and media) by three subjects with different career paths. The three subjects are college students majoring in education conducting simulations in the classroom, final-year college students conducting a Field Experience Program (PPL), and experienced teachers. The results of the analysis show that experienced teachers use the right approach, method, and media that are more varied than both students. Besides, experienced teachers tend to be better at learning material and are able to link learning to everyday life. This was also observed in PPL students who used everyday phenomena as the discussion material. However, the three subjects showed a relatively similar time distribution pattern of the concept presentation, which is more than 90% in core activities and less than 5% for preliminary and closing activities. This paper is expected to present a picture of the reality that occurs in the field as an evaluation material in learning science, both for students, teachers, or all parties involved in the world of education
