Evaluation of learning process: Knowledge of ICT integration among pre-service English language teachers
This research aims at investigating the knowledge of ICT integration among the students of the English Language Education Study Program at a particular university in Yogyakarta. By employing the quantitative method, this ex-post facto research involved 70 English Department students who had taken microteaching as respondents in a survey to gather the data using a questionnaire. The questionnaire was taken from the model developed by one of the researchers based on the TPACK framework. There are five domains in the questionnaire. Four domains measure TPACK perceptions: Technological Knowledge (TK), Technological Content Knowledge (TCK), Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK), and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). One domain measures the pre-service teachers\u27 perceptions of their ICT-related learning experiences. Demographic questions are included to identify the characteristics of the respondents in order to understand gender differences or relationships between teachers who have access to technologies at home and those who do not. The closed-ended questions applied a five-point Likert-type scale ranging from 1=strongly disagree to 5=strongly agree. Correspondingly, it contains one open-ended question in the TPACK domain. Descriptive analysis and MANOVA were conducted for the quantitative data analysis. The result of this study showed that the pre-service students possess a high self-confidence in the application of TK (Technological Knowledge), TPK (Technological Pedagogical Knowledge), and TCK (Technological Content Knowledge). However, their TPACK appears to need further development. The results from MANOVA showed that the pre-service teachers\u27 related learning experiences significantly differed by the students\u27 gender, with male students reporting more experiences than female students
Determinant factors affecting the improvement of education index
The Human Development Index (HDI) of the Selayar Islands Regency experienced an insignificant improvement. The low education index causes the low HDI achievement of the Selayar Islands Regency because the achievement of the education index is lower than the health index and the expenditure index. Therefore, it is essential to improve the education index. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the education index. This study uses secondary data in panel data, a combination of time-series data from 2014 to 2019, and cross-section data from 11 sub-districts. Panel data to measure the factors that affect the Education Index were analyzed using regression analysis. The results show that the teacher to student ratio at elementary school has a negative effect on the education index, the class to student ratio at elementary school has a positive effect on the education index, while the school to student ratio at elementary school, school to student ratio at junior high school, class to student ratio at junior high school and teacher to student ratio at junior high school do not affect the education index

The sports activity of badminton and responses to changes in blood uric acid at productive age
Abstract
This study aims to determine whether there was a response to changes in uric acid levels due to the physical activity of badminton. The design of this study is a quasi-experimental. The sample used in this study was eight respondents with certain criteria. Treat physical activity twice on different days with 4 measurements of uric acid levels. The method of this study is repeated measure analysis. When subjects are measured repeatedly, requiring fewer subjects per experiment, then repeated measures analysis can be used. The results showed that the treatment of badminton had a significant effect on changes in uric acid levels with a probability value of 0,038. These results were obtained by using the Greenhouse-Geisser test where the assumptions of normality and homogeneity were satisfied. From the marginal test results using pairwise comparisons, there was a significant difference in the average uric acid levels at 15 minutes after exercise and 9 hours the following day, where there was a decrease of 1.169 mg/dl. Badminton can reduce uric acid levels, which is indicated by a decrease of 0.15 mg/dl at 09.00 the next day compared to before exercise. Marginally, this decrease is not statistically significant, but regular badminton can be an option for physical activity for those who want to reduce uric acid levels
