Cassava Identification Model Based on Color for Mocaf Flour Using Digital Image
Abstract
This study aims to produce a model to identify the quality of cassava-based on color as an ingredient for making mocaf flour based on digital images. The procedure includes preprocessing and feature extraction among other steps of digital image processing. Preprocessing includes cropping, resizing, and grayscaling, while feature extraction includes threshold segmentation and binaryization. The data are 188 cassava images consisting of 72 training data images and 46 test data. The result of the study is an identification model based on the following two things: a) utilizing feature extraction that uses threshold segmentation with a threshold value of 170 and binaryization with a threshold value of 75; and b) determining of the quality of cassava is carried out based on the ratio of the area of white pixels produced by threshold segmentation to the area of white pixels produced by binaryization. If 65% or more of the pixels in the image are white, the cassava has a good quality. The resulting model provides an accuracy of 94% for 72 training data and 95% for 46 test data
MASTER (Motivating, Acquiring, Searching, Triggering, Exhibiting, Reflecting) learning model in terms of literacy ability and students\u27 mathematics learning motivation
It is argued that mathematical literacy skills might be improved when learning motivation is high. This study aims to examine the difference in mathematical literacy skills between students who joined a learning model that stimulate motivation, the MASTER learning model (Motivating, Acquiring, Searching, Triggering, Exhibiting, and Reflecting) and those who attended conventional learning in terms of high, medium, and low learning motivation. This is a quasi-experimental study with a population of all seventh-grade students of an Islamic Junior School in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. The sample was selected using the purposive sampling technique with group VII A as the experimental class and group VII E as the control class. The instrument used was a test of students\u27 mathematical literacy skills and a student\u27s learning motivation questionnaire. The data were analyzed using a two-way ANOVA. The results showed that: (1) there were differences in mathematical literacy skills between students who attended the MASTER learning model and those who took conventional learning; (2) there were differences in mathematical literacy abilities between students with high, medium, and low motivation to learn, and (3) there was an interaction between the MASTER learning model and learning motivation on students\u27 mathematical literacy abilities
An exploration of ethnomathematics at Sewu Temple in Yogyakarta
This study explores the elements of mathematics (geometry and arithmetic) in Sewu Temple. As the research is qualitatively discussed, ethnographic design is appropriately implemented with observation, interviews, and documentation for collecting data. The data analysis technique shares four steps; collecting, reducing, presenting, and drawing a conclusion ”the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that there are mathematical elements in the shape of the building and the reliefs of Sewu Temple; flat shapes, spatial shapes, geometric transformations, and arithmetic sequences. The existing flat forms include; squares, rectangles, isosceles trapezoids, right trapezoids, circles, triangles, and octagons. Furthermore, blocks, tubes, and rectangular pyramids are included in existing shapes. The geometric transformations are in the form of reflection (mirror), translation (shift), and dilation (multiplication). The results of the ethnomathematical exploration at Sewu Temple can be used as instructional teaching for mathematics in schools, especially in geometry, geometric transformations, and arithmetic sequences

Integrated tourism policy: The Buffer area development impact of Borobudur world heritage
This article addresses the development policy practice by the Borobudur Authority Agency. The policy can synchronize different autonomous local government policies and avoid conflictual approaches to its neighborhoods. Even though a top-down policy may reduce the creativity of local governments to develop their tourism programs, this research shows the impact of the integrated tourism policy of the Borobudur National Tourism Strategic Area benefited accelerating tourism development. The economic impact on the surrounding community is creating job opportunities and increasing people\u27s financial revenue. The effects on the social dimension show that tourism development activities under borderless policy sites increase interaction and bonds among communities and preserve the cultures and folklores within the research sites that are administratively separated regions. When viewed from the environmental aspect, tourism development activities have implemented a sustainable approach by applying nomadic tourism concepts and building construction that does not damage the soil structure. By informing those impacts, this paper suggests newsworthiness as a guiding principle to communicate the successful implementation of a public policy
The presumption of innocence: Interpretation and application in online journalism
Implementation of the Presumption of Innocence by journalists has implications for the occurrence of trial by the press and potentially impacts social disharmony. This study aims to explain the interpretation of the presumption of innocence in journalism, and the understanding and application of the presumption of innocence by online media journalists. This research uses qualitative methods by utilizing two data collection techniques. Firstly, documentation that collects some related research about the Journalistic Codes of Ethics of the Press Council, PWI and AJI. Secondly, in-depth interviews with four online media journalists. The result shows that the literal interpretation of the presumption of innocence is a principle not to judge someone even though it is side by side with the principle of objectivity, covering both sides, mention of identity, and legal grammar. Online media journalists have a collective understanding of the presumption of innocence. However, the journalists have an authentic understanding that causes the different implementation of the presumption of innocence. Moreover, demands for faster news production, media agency policies, and personal interest from journalists also impact partial implementation. This research contributes by forming a model for applying the presumption of innocence for online media journalists to avoid trial by the press
Hegemonic dialectics between power and resistance in the Indonesian sharing economy: Study of Gojek
Gojek is an Indonesian platform-based on-demand ride-hailing business that has attracted some researchers to conduct studies in this newly emerged economy field through various approaches. Most researchers see the phenomenon of Gojek as part of the global disruptive technology movement that positively impacts the Indonesian economic and socio-cultural aspects of society. Some others expose the asymmetrical relationship between the platform and its driverpartners. No study analyzed it from the perspective of a dialectical hegemony that transpires between the platform and its driver-partners. Using a qualitative method, this article will fill in the gaps in the study of the Gojek phenomenon from the Gramscian Theory of Hegemony perspective to uncover the dialectical relationship between the digital platform and its driver-partners. The platform articulates hegemony actions through gamification and algorithm system, the concept of work, the internalization of corporate values, the Award Programs, the Kopi Darat Program, the driver-partners communities, Gojek\u27s Task Force and the driver-partners influencers. The driver-partners perform resistance by conducting demonstrations and boycotts, using various application modifications, and serving over one platform
