Problem Solving Videos sebagai Media Teknologi Asistif untuk Memfasilitasi Mahasiswa Tunarungu di Kelas Inklusif
Beberapa Perguruan Tinggi sekarang ini membuka kesempatan bagi siswa disabilitas misalnya tunarungu untuk menjadi mahasiswa di kelas inklusif. Oleh karena itu, penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas: (1) Cara memberikan peran kepada mahasiswa tunarungu di kelas insklusif agar dapat ikut berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan ilmiah berupa diskusi dalam kelompok kecil mahasiswa. (2) Cara menyediakan media teknologi asistif berupa problem solving videos untuk memfasilitasi mahasiswa tunarungu di kelas inklusif dalam diskusi ilmiah. Langkah untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut dilakukan dengan cara: (1) pelatihan dan pendampingan mahasiswa dalam berbahasa isyarat, (2) mixed method yang menggabungkan R & D dan pendekatan kualitatif. R & D untuk menemukan keabsahan media teknologi asistif berupa problem solving videos, sedangkan pendekatan kualitatif untuk mengungkap aspek tanggapan subjek penelitian terhadap pemakaian media teknologi asistif berupa problem solving videos. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah: (1) Setelah dilaksanakan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam berbahasa isyarat pada semua mahasiswa di kelas inklusif, mahasiswa tunarungu dapat terlibat pada kegiatan diskusi pada materi perkuliahan. (2) Semua subjek penelitian memberikan tanggapan positif dan mendukung ketersediaan media teknologi asistif berupa problem solving videos untuk memfasilitasi mahasiswa tunarungu di kelas inklusif dalam melakukan diskusi ilmiah.
Problem Solving Videos as Assistive Technology Media to Facilitate Deaf Students in Inclusive Class
Abstract
Several universities currently open opportunities for students with disabilities, such as the deaf to become students in inclusive classes. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to discuss: (1) how to give roles for deaf students in the class to be able to participate in scientific activities as discussion in small student groups; (2) how to provide assistive technology which is the problem-solving videos to facilitate deaf students in scientific discussion in the inclusive class. To achieve the purposes carried out: (1) training and monitoring students in sign language, (2) mixing the method by combining R & D method and qualitative approaches. R & D to find the validity of assistive technology media in the form of problem solving videos, while the qualitative approach is to reveal aspects of research subjects\u27 responses to the use of assistive technology media in the form of problem solving videos. The results from this research are: (1) After training and assistance in sign language have been carried out for all students in the inclusive class, deaf students can be involved in discussion activities on lecture material. (2) All research subjects gave positive responses and supported the availability of assistive technology media in the form of problem solving videos to facilitate students with hearing impairment in the inclusive class in scientific discussions
Metacognitive skills of student in solving problems of two-variable linear equation systems in terms of self-regulated learning
It is empirically known that metacognitive skill contributes to self-regulated learning. This study aims to describe students\u27 metacognitive skills in three levels of self-regulated learning, particularly in solving problems of a two-variable linear equation system. Three indicators were used in metacognition skills, namely planning indicators, monitoring indicators, and evaluation indicators. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, this study involved All students of grade VIII A of the academic year 2021/2022 from a state junior school as subjects involving each category for high, medium, and low self-regulated learning. The data were collected using questionnaires, tests, interviews, documentation, and observation. A triangulation method, The data were then analyzed through condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. is the current study found that high learning students used their metacognitive skills well and met three indicators, namely planning indicators, monitoring indicators, and evaluation indicators. Students with moderate self-regulated learning were able to meet two indicators, including planning indicators and monitoring indicators, while those with low self-regulated learning only met planning indicators
The readiness of prospective teachers based on online teaching competencies and learning activities in COVID-19 pandemic: A cluster analysis-based approach
Many things should be done to prepare prospective teachers for providing qualified teachers. The COVID-19 pandemic is forcing teachers, including prospective teachers, to improve competency and online teaching activities. This quantitative research aims to map the readiness of prospective-teacher students of Office Administration (OA) Department related to online learning by measuring their teaching competencies and learning activities. These two variables are considered capable of measuring online teaching readiness. The research sample is 72 students. The data were collected using a questionnaire distributed via a Google Form and analyzed using K-Means with SPSS 24.0 software. The results showed that the number of clusters at low readiness level was 11 students (10 female and one male) or 15%, the number of clusters at moderate readiness level was 38 students (32 female and six male) or 53%, and the number of clusters at moderate level high readiness was 23 students (18 female and five male) or 32%. These findings show that the OA Department\u27s prospective teachers still need to be provided with online teaching materials or skills, considering that only 32% of respondents have a high level of readiness for online learning. The community is the indicator that needs improvement for OA Department prospective teachers\u27 readiness. It can be pursued by forming the latest and most trusted community
Development of learning tools based on realistic mathematics approach that oriented to high school students\u27 mathematical generalization ability
Generalization ability need to be encouraged in learning mathematics, students with generalization abilities can expand and transfer knowledge to practical knowledge. This research aims to develop learning material based on realistic mathematisc approach that oriented to generalization ability. The learning materials\u27developed is lesson plans and student worksheets. This is research and development with an ADDIE model. The instruments used in this study were the evaluation sheets, response questionnaire for teachers and students and tests of mathematical generalization ability. The data analysis technique used was descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The design of the learning materials focuses on aspects of the mathematical generalization ability of high school students by presenting real problems. Student activities are designed to solve real issues related to pattern analysis, focus on student contributions to find conjectures, and design interactions so students can proceed to the abstraction stage using concept linkages. So students can make conclusions regarding the given concept in response to such issues. The results show that the validity qualifications of lesson plans and student worksheets are good and very good, the practical qulifications are very good. The learning materials comply with effective based on completeness tests of generalization ability of 82.26 with good qualification
Perbandingan Metode Fuzzy Times Series Cheng dan Fuzzy Times Series Markov Chain dalam Memprediksi Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka di Bali
Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan model untuk tingkat pengangguran terbuka di Bali dengan Fuzzy Times series Cheng (FTS Cheng) dan Fuzzy Times series Markov Chain (FTS Markov Chain) serta membandingkan tingkat akurasi kedua model tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Data tingkat pengangguran terbuka di Bali yang digunakan sebanyak 34 dari periode Februari 2006 sampai dengan Agustus 2021. Dari 34 data kemudian dibagi menjadi dua dengan proporsi 30% data latih dan 70% data uji. Tahapan penelitian yang dilakukan dengan menghitung FTS Cheng dan FTS Markov Chain pada data latih kemudian dilanjutkan pada data uji. Selanjutnya model FTS Cheng dan FTS Markov Chain dihitung akurasinya dengan MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error),RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) dan Confusion Matrix (akurasi,presisi,recall). Hasil MAPE yang didapatkan adalah FTS Cheng sebesar 18.43% dan FTS Markov Chain sebesar 31.19%. Kemudian hasil RMSE yang didapatkan dari FTS Cheng dan FTS Markov Chain secara berturut-turut adalah 0.88 dan 0.63. Pada pengujian menggunakan Confusion Matrix pada FTS Ceng didapatkan hasil akurasi, presisi, recall secara berturut-turut adalah 61.90%,41.22% dan 44.35%. Sedangkan untuk FTS Markov Chain mendapatkan hasil pengujian sebesar 61.90%,49.17% dan 48.75% untuk akurasi, presisi dan recall. Jadi Fuzzy Time Series Markov Chain lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model Fuzzy Time Series Cheng di dua metode pengujian keakuratan yaitu pada RMSE dan Confusion Matrix (presisi dan recall). Hal ini disebabkan karena perbedaan pembagian kelas serta perhitungan yang berbeda
Effective school organizational communication management: Descriptive study at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Yogyakarta
Organizational communication management determines the effectiveness of an educational institution. Good communication in educational organizations will make a school more effective. Conversely, without good organizational communication management, miscommunication often occurs. This article aims to analyze and describe organizational communication management at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Yogyakarta as one of the leading schools in the city of Yogyakarta. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study show that for superior schools, communication within the organization is vital in school management. As a top school, the management of MAN 1 Yogyakarta carries out various ways to improve achievement through organizational communication management. One of them is by creating a healthy flow of information for all components of the school. Leaders also innovate in the form of a special team that acts as a communication bridge that specifically handles and improves school performance. MAN 1 devotes all efforts to continuously improve school performance. This is because MAN 1 management assesses that achievement is a very important indicator of the quality and effectiveness of an educational institution
Civic education as anti-corruption education for college students
Corruption is a serious problem that needs to be resolved. Many of Indonesia\u27s assets are lost due to corruption. Many state officials were arrested because of it, and new corruption cases kept on rising. Anti-corruption education for college students has become one of the assisting measures in the anti-corruption strategy. Some studies suggest that prevention through education is the most important step to eradicate corruption. This study aimed to examine the role of Civic Education (CE) as an anti-corruption education for students. This study used a qualitative method. Data were collected through literature study, in-depth interviews, and observation. The collected data were then analyzed using Miles & Huberman\u27s interactive model which consists of data collection, data verification, data analysis, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that Civic Education plays a vital role in anti-corruption education for students. In the context of higher education, this course may serve as anti-corruption education. Anti-corruption values should be delivered during the CE learning process. Anti-corruption values consist of honesty, discipline, and compliance. The results of this study can be a reference for policymakers in the field of corruption prevention
Young digital citizen answers: Can online learning improve the quality of civic education learning?
Technological developments have an impact on various fields, in education particularly, the 21st-century learning requires lectures and learners to be creative and innovative in utilizing digital media effectively, by using the right methods, the learning process in the digital era will be carried out optimally, to improve the quality of learning by learning objectives. This research used a mixed design approach with a survey as its main method. The participants of this study were lecturers and students of the PKn UPI Study Program using online learning in an online learning system (SPADA UPI) and Integrated Online Learning System (SPOT UPI) at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The results show that online learning can improve the quality of Civics learning if technology can be integrated into the Civics learning curriculum, lectures who can use digital media and digital literacy, and teaching materials that can develop 21st-century civic competencies to prepare young citizens in facing the era of disruption. Students as young citizens can be directed to master digital citizenship skills so that they can become citizens who have democratic, wise, and responsible competencies in the digital era
The application of the right to freedom of expression in demonstration based on principles of a democratic state
Expressing opinions in demonstration is a right that has been guaranteed in the constitution and law. The arrangement is written in the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Article 28E paragraph (3) and Law Number 9 of 1998 concerning the freedom to express opinion in public. A democratic country has a great respect for differences of opinion manifested in the form of demonstration. However, the freedom of demonstration is in the form of responsible freedom regulated in Article 6 of Law No. 9 of 1998. In this demonstration, the actions must respect the rights of others, so that no one is harmed by the demonstration. If someone is harmed, they must prioritize the principles of justice in accordance with applicable law. This study was conducted with a qualitative method approach, namely by using the type of normative research, by conducting a study of legislation (Statute approach). This study resulted that the demonstration arrangements regulated in the law must be respected by all parties, where the principle of legal protection is attached to demonstration participants and security forces to respect each other\u27s democratic values in Indonesia. Furthermore, on the principle of right to freedom of expression in a democratic country, all citizens must have the same rights in any form of expression. If there is a party who is harmed, it must be resolved according to the applicable law, so that the Indonesian guarantee legal certainty from irresponsible parties to uphold democratic values, as well as freedom of opinion
Developing Mobile Career Learning Model for Electronics Engineering Vocational High School
The objective of this study is to develop a mobile career learning model for electronics engineering vocational high school and reveal the feasibility of the developed mobile career learning model to develop electronics engineering vocational student\u27s competencies. This research utilized research and development method that refers to the Holistic 4D model, includes four stages of development: define, design, develop and deploy with three levels of holistic design and an interactive cycle, namely analysis, design, and evaluation. The define stage includes the performance analysis observations and instructional needs assessment. The design stage includes the design evaluation stage which involves expert with the background of lecturers, principals, teachers, career experts, software experts and successful alumni. The develop stage involves a review of material experts and media experts as well as a limited trial involving students and teachers of electronics engineering vocational high school. The data collection used observation sheets and questionnaires that have been validated by experts. The data analysis used the descriptive method. The results of the study are as follows. (1) The developed mobile career learning model integrates vocational learning activities and career guidance by utilizing information technology in the form of mobile career learning media applications. (2) The developed mobile career learning model is feasible and can be used for career development of students with electronics engineering competence
