    The online evaluation of the teacher certification program using the CIPP Model

    The Teacher Certification Program (PPG) is a government program to support competency improvement and standardization of teachers in Indonesia. Program organizers are LPTKs that have met the requirements for further preparation and fulfillment of human resources, infrastructure, and supporting policies. Evaluation of the PPG Program is essential, especially for LPTKs still new to implementation. Evaluation of the PPG Program is carried out using the CIPP Model, an evaluation model in terms of Context, Input, Process, and Product. The evaluation was carried out using a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, documentation, interviews, and survey instruments. The PPG program on the subject was carried out on 204 students involving 28 lecturers and 38 teachers for 94 days. The evaluation results show that the PPG Program implemented on subjects is a good and excellent value, with a context assessment directly proportional to the process and product. It is excellent, and the input assessment is good value with a comparison of students and human resources, which are still in minimum control. These results indicate that the program will be implemented very well if it fulfills the content and process aspects which are also very good for producing a product that is also very good. At the same time, the input, which consists of the number of students and human resources who have an unbalanced ratio, is not an obstacle if the implementation control is carried out as well as possible

    Gendered communication: Gender mainstreaming and gender differences in the age of gender equality

    The implementation of Gender Mainstreaming (Pengarusutamaan Gender, PUG) policies in Indonesia has had a problematic impact on the advancement of women\u27s resources. This is due to a discrepancy between the value system from the West (secular) which is the essence of PUG policy and the value system in Indonesian society. This study was conducted to provide an explanation of the impact of PUG policy implementation in producing a transformation of women\u27s gender identities and roles that are becoming more modern towards the phenomenon of gender communication. This study uses critical discourse analysis from Van Dijk which includes 3 (three) dimensions, namely discourse, cognition, and society, with a micro-macro and power analysis approach. This study found that there is a potential for abuse of power in the interpersonal communication practices of men and women. There are 3 things that become factors: the structure of the mind, the structure of the text (conversation), and the meaning of the message. The operation of gender differences in gender communication practices is supported by sources of legitimacy of cultural belief systems and interpretations of religious teachings. Understanding gender differences and how they operate is beneficial in equal and comfortable communication practices. Gender intelligence will form subjectivity based on the meaning of the coherence or togetherness of the relation pair

    The development of Android-based learning media using Kodular in making suit patterns subject

    This research aims to produce Android-based interactive learning media by utilizing the Kodular application for learning materials for making suit patterns for XII grade students of Fashion Management Vocational Schools. This research uses the research and development model of the Puslitjaknov Team, which consists of five development stages, namely: (1) Analysis of the product produced; (2) Making the initial product; (3) Expert validation and revision; (4) Small-scale trial; and (5) Large-scale trial. This study collected data through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The test subjects in this development research were students of class XII of Fashion Management of SMK Negeri 2 Godean, with a total of 10 people for small-scale trials and 27 people for large-scale trials. In this study, quantitative descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data. Based on the assessment of material experts and media experts, small-scale trials, and large-scale trials, the findings of this study reveal that the learning media for making Android-based suit patterns are considered valid and practical for use in the classroom. This media is feasible to use to improve students\u27 thinking skills and support students in learning independently, as well as flexible in its application. This media functions well and provides relevant information to students regarding suit pattern making, increasing students\u27 interest in learning, creativity, and learning motivation. The Android-based suit pattern making learning media developed is more efficient than traditional learning media because it can improve learning outcomes by improving the quality of student learning and making it more fun

    The effectiveness of Lombok traditional games on increasing physical literacy of elementary school

    Physical literacy has four components, one of which is the physical component. Increasing the physical component requires learning strategies implemented through physical education, one of which is the traditional Lombok game, which is an effective learning process for children. This research aims to test the effectiveness of traditional Lombok games in increasing physical literacy in elementary school students. This study used the Quasi Experimental Design research method (pretest and posttest control group design) involving 66 class IV students. It consists of two groups, namely, the control group and the intervention group. The intervention group (n = 33; 50% boys and girls) received a weekly 60-minute Lombok traditional game session provided by a local instructor trained in child care, whereas the control group (n = 33; 50% boys and women) received no additional treatment.Components of children\u27s physical literacy were assessed using the PLAYbasic instrument before and after treatment. The results of the PL assessment of the pre-test control group were 42.7 in the Emarging category, the post-test was 45.5 in the Emarging category, while in the experimental group the pre-test was 45.6 in the Emarging category and the post-test was 65.1 in the Competent category, there was an increase in the experimental group. The experimental group using traditional Lombok games had a better level of physical literacy or the Competent category than the control group. While the results of data analysis from the study showed the output of the Independent Samples Test, the Sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) = 0.000 \u3c 0.05.Thus, the traditional Lombok games for grade IV students aged 9 years have a significant influence. Based on these results, it shows the importance of traditional Lombok game interventions that can provide benefits for developing and increasing appropriate physical literacy in later life

    Effect of elderly fitness exercise combined with Surya Namaskar Yoga on the youngest and middle old\u27 body mass index and physical fitness

    The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of a combination of fitness exercise for the elderly and Suryanamaskar yoga on body mass index and physical fitness of youngest and middle old in Mojolaban District. This research is a quasi-experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design. The research population is the elderly in Mojolaban District. Sampling was done by purposive sampling from 42 elderly integrated healthcare center members. All samples followed the treatment with a frequency of 4x/week for 24 meetings, light intensity (DN elderly 96-112x/minute), 35 minutes. Then measured BMI with the formula Weight (kg)/Height (m2) and physical fitness was measured by the senior fitness test. Normality test using Shapiro Wilk followed by Wilcoxon Signed Rank test. The results of the study based on the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test for the youngest old, the pre-test value of 24.1538 ± SD 4.75014 decreased to 23.8381 ± SD 4.69895 in the post-test with a p-value of 0.01 in the BMI variable. The pre-test value of 10.05 ± SD 1.287 increased to 10.79 ± SD 1.554 in the post-test with a p-value of 0.001 on the physical fitness value variable. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test for the middle old obtained a p-value of 0.012 for the BMI variable and a p-value of 0.046 for the physical fitness value variable. It can be concluded that there is a decrease in the BMI of the youngest and middle old, as well as an increase in the physical fitness value of the youngest and middle old

    Developing an exercise program to improve the biomotor abilities of Wushu Taolu athletes as a support for the Teng Kong Bai Lian (TKBL) movement

    The aim of this study was: (1) to develop an appropriate circuit training program for biomotor improvement that supports Teng Kong Bai Lian (TKBL), (2) to examine the feasibility of biomotor improvement that supports TKBL, and (3) to examine training program effectivity. This study is a kind of Research and Development through several procedures, such as observation and data collection, planning, program development, expert validation, initial program revision, small scale trial, large scale trial, operational program revision, effectivity test, and completion program, and training program implementation. Instrument of this study consist of observation, questionnaire for expert validation, test and measurement biomotor including (1) t-test for measuring speed and agility, (2) leg dynamometer for leg strength, (3) vertical jump for leg power, (4) curl-up test for core strength, (5) modified bass test of dynamic balance for measuring dynamic balance. The results of the collected data will be analyzed using Aiken for expert validation, and small and large-scale trials, while the paired sample t-test with SPSS is used to analyze the effectiveness test. Expert validation, small-scale trial, and large-scale trial were analyzed using the Aiken method with Aiken table value, whereas the effectivity test was analyzed using paired sample t-test on the SPSS application. The result showed that expert validation for the training program was obtained above 0.80 Aiken value for all test items. The results of the effectiveness test showed a significant effect on increasing the biomotor component of leg muscle strength, core strength, leg muscle explosive power, speed and agility with a P value of 0.000, but the effect was not significant on the balance component where the P value was 0.840. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the ciccuit training program can effectively increase leg muscle strength, core strength, leg muscle explosive power, speed and agility, but does not improve balance. So this training program can be applied to Wushu Taolu athletes to improve their biomotor abilities to support the TKBL movement.     Image classification involves categorizing an image\u27s pixels into specific classes based on their unique characteristics. It has diverse applications in everyday life. One such application is the classification of diseases on corn leaves. Corn is a widely consumed staple food in Indonesia, and healthy corn plants are crucial for meeting market demands. Currently, disease identification in corn plants relies on manual checks, which are time-consuming and less effective. This research aims to automate disease identification on corn leaves using the Support Vector Machine (SVM), K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) with K=2, and Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) algorithms. The classification process utilizes the Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) feature extraction method with a dataset of corn leaf images. The classification results achieved an accuracy of 71.44%, AUC of 79.16%, precision of 70.08%, recall of 71.44%, and f1 score of 67.11%. The highest accuracy was obtained by combining HOG feature extraction with the SGD algorithm

    Developing and implementing an instrument for assessing critical thinking and visual representations in learning Physics materials of Optical Instruments

    This study aims to develop an assessment instrument to measure students\u27 critical thinking and visual representation abilities in optical instrument material. This research and development (R&D) employed the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) instructional model. This research develops a test instrument that has more specific stages so the ADDIE development stage is integrated with the development stage of the test instrument developed by Mardapi. The subjects in this study are grade XI students of State Madrasah Aliyah (MAN) 4 Bantul. This study produced a test instrument for measuring students\u27 critical thinking and visual representation abilities, with high validity,and analyzed using Aiken\u27s V. The items for assessing critical thinking and visual representation abilities were analyzed using the QUEST program with the following findings. (1) The analysis results of instrument validation using Aiken\u27s V obtained an average Aiken\u27s Value above 0.4 with high validity and moderate validity criteria so all items are valid. (2) The pre-test analysis on item estimates obtained MNSQ Infit in the range 0.77-1.30 and the value of outfit t ‰¤ 2 and in the MNSQ Infit case estimates in the range 0.77-1.30, so overall, the items matched to Rasch models. (3) Post-test analysis on item estimates obtained MNSQ Infit in the range 0.77-1.30 and outfit t value ‰¤ 2 and in case estimates MNSQ Infit in the range 0.77-1.30 so, overall, items are in accordance with Rasch models. (4) The reliability of the pre-test items is 0.92 while the reliability of the post-test items is 0.76. (5) The difficulty level of the items in the pre-test results shows that Question 10 is the most difficult while number 3 is the easiest, and in the post-test results, Question 8 is the most difficult while Question 6 is the easiest

    A meta-analysis of the relationship between self-assessment and Mathematics learning achievement

    This study uses a meta-analysis model to describe the relationship between self-assessment and achievement in learning mathematics. This meta-analysis covers articles published from 2011 to 2022 and is restricted to studies published in English. Indexed articles by Google Scholar were chosen. The data must meet these criteria: quantitative research, containing correlational research on the relationship between self-assessment and mathematics learning achievement (including correlation values and sample size). Through the data screening process with predetermined criteria, 12 research results were obtained, containing 43 studies to be analyzed. This meta-analysis uses a random effect model due to the heterogeneous data distribution. A publication bias test was carried out with the Fail-safe N model to ensure the quality of the data. The result of the analysis showed that the data distribution was heterogeneous, according to the I2 test, so selecting the random effect model was the right decision. Regarding publication bias, an accurate Fail-safe N test shows that the data are free from publication bias. Thus, the analysis uses a suitable model, and the results of the analysis can be trusted. The total effect size indicates a significant positive correlation (r = 0.295) between self-assessment and students\u27 mathematics achievement. Therefore, the higher the self-assessment index, the higher one\u27s mathematics learning achievement

    Comparing item-total correlation and item-theta correlation in test item selection: A simulation and empirical study

    One of the important processes in the evaluation of the psychometric properties of a test is item selection. The item selection process usually uses a very popular technique called item-total correlation. This study attempts to describe the item-total correlation technique and explore it using a similar technique called item-theta correlation. Both techniques are applied using simulation studies by creating several conditions related to test length and sample size. After the simulation study, the next step is the study using empirical data as an illustration of the results of the simulation study. The results of this study show that there are differences in the results of item selection based on these two approaches. Item-theta correlation detects more items that have weak discrimination power than item-total correlation. The difference is more noticeable in conditions where the cutoff point used for item selection is low(.20)
