Using net games to stimulate the motor competence of elementary school students
Motor competence is essential to develop an active lifestyle, a healthy weight status, and a physical-activity habit. Motor competence stimulation focus on measuring the physical activity of playing games. The study investigated the potential improvement of motor skill by playing net games. Through the study, students are taught to make important decisions and acquire tactical knowledge by simplifying complex games. This research adopted an experimental design using One Group pretest-posttest method. Samples were collected through random sampling method in two classes of a selected elementary school. The Games Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI) and the Gross Motor Development Test version 2 (TGMD-2) were used to assess students\u27 playing understanding, motor skills, and numeric knowledge. Utilizing quantitative descriptive analysis, data were examined. The findings showed that the posttest values for motor skill aspects (95) were greater than the pretest results (88, 5). The average increase of each component for playing game was execution skill of 0.05, decision-making of 0.04, opponent coverage of 0.03, and overall of 0.05. Different test results show that t-test (t=4.50), both for game understanding and motor skill aspects, which were greater than t-tables (1,796). The statistics showed that the skills after treatment were significantly different from the students\u27 ability before treatment. This improvement in decision-making, technical execution, cover, support, game performance, game participation, pleasure, perceived competence, and intention to engage in physical activity is attributable to the usage of net games. The conclusion is that the use of net games is effective in improving the motor competence of elementary school students. However, the study only involves a small number of students, hence it is recommended for including a larger number of students in the further research, as well as using more rigid study design (control group) and take in different elementary schools
The influence of parents and coach\u27s roles on character building in 18 years junior tennis athlete

This shows that partially the role of parents and coaches influences the character of DIY junior tennis players. Using the F test, the analysis yielded a significance level of p less than 0.05, while the value of Rsquare=0.719, meaning that 71.9% of the characteristics of DIY junior tennis players are influenced by the role of parents and coaches. Thus, it can be concluded that the roles of parents and coaches simultaneously have an influence on the character of DIY junior tennis players. Therefore, in providing character education to junior tennis players both inside and outside the field, external encouragement is needed, both from parents and coaches
Cross-Language Tourism News Retrieval System Using Google Translate API on SEBI Search Engine
Cross-Language Information Retrieval (CLIR) is responsible for retrieving information stored in a language different from the language of the query provided by the user. Some translation methods commonly used in CLIR are Dictionary, Parallel corpora, Comparable corpora, Machine translator, Ontology, and Transitive-based. The query must be translated to the target language, followed by preprocessing and calculating the similarity between the query and all documents in the corpus. The problem is the time and accuracy of query translation. Moreover, the queries are not written as complete sentences according to certain language rules. Stemming, for example, every language has its own method. Indonesian has basic words and affixes in the form of prefixes, suffixes, infixes, and confixes, while English only has suffixes. Stemming takes a long time in text processing. In the Indonesian search engine (SEBI), the provision of cross-language tourism news retrieval is realized using the Google Translate API, which translates the Query and all documents into English, Porter\u27s stemming technique to convert each term to its general form, and cosine similarity to calculate similarity. This approach can deliver cross-language tourism news instantly while increasing the precision and efficiency of the SEBI search engine, although some improvements are needed to provide a more precise and efficient similarity computation
The Emotional Intelligence and Burnout of In-service English Teachers in Yogyakarta
Emotional intelligence and burnout of teachers are highly discussed in previous studies. This study set out to examine (1) the dimensions of emotional intelligence, (2) the dimensions of burnout, (3) the level of burnout, and (4) the relationship among the dimensions of in-service English teachers in Yogyakarta. The implementation of the Sistem Inovasi Cepat Penanganan ODGJ Terpadu (SICEPOT) in Sukabumi City
As social beings, humans create dynamically changing situations and conditions. These conditions often require humans to adapt, but some people cannot cope with the demands of the times. To deal with People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ), the Sukabumi City government has developed the Sistem Inovasi Cepat Penanganan ODGJ Terpadu (SICEPOT). SICEPOT is an innovative health service system to minimize the growth in the number of mental disorders experienced by the people of Sukabumi City, especially in the Citamiang Sub-district area, West Java, Indonesia. Over the past three years, there has been an increase in ODGJ patients from 2019 to 2021, with information on 24 patients who did not seek treatment. One of the factors causing patients not to seek treatment is the need for more human resources to monitor ODGJ, especially at Tipar Health Centre in Sukabumi City. This study used qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation. Determination of informants was carried out using a proportional sampling technique on stakeholders that researchers in the study have determined. In implementing the SICEPOT program, researchers focused on 6 (six) implementation indicators, according to Mazmanian and Sabatier. The challenge in this innovation program is the need for more human resources to handle ODGJ patients. The consistency of Puskesmas Tipar has not been able to run well due to the postponement of the innovation program due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The involvement of policymakers and support from the community is one of the keys to implementing SICEPOT activities. Puskesmas Tipar uses technology for cross-sectoral coordination by using social media, namely WhatsApp
