This research shows that internalizing environmental care can be done by implementing the components of the Adiwiyata program at Junior High School 1 Panawangan. Apart from that, the program is also supported by strengthening civic disposition given to Civics subjects. The Adiwiyata program combines learning and action that effectively changes student behavior to be more participatory in protecting the environment. This research has implications for schools to be able to collaborate with external parties such as environmental agencies, NGOs and environmental communities to increase students\u27 understanding of current ecological issues. This collaboration can involve outreach activities, field trips, and environmental projects that actively involve students
Comparative analysis of the anti-radicalism value project model and the conventional model in improving citizen commitment
This research aims to compare the results of two learning approaches, namely the anti-radicalism value project model and the conventional model, in enhancing the commitment of young citizens. Through data analysis from two groups of classes, the experimental and control groups, we evaluated the outcomes of both learning models on the improvement of young citizens\u27 commitment, including their knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors towards the values and principles of Indonesia\u27s constitutional democracy. By using a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods, it is hoped that research findings can be reliable. The study shows that the anti-radicalism value project model has significant advantages in increasing the commitment of young citizens compared to the conventional model. Students participating in the project model demonstrated active engagement in the learning process, meaningful learning experiences, and better development of critical thinking skills. On the other hand, the conventional model tends to be limited in providing opportunities for interaction and the active participation of students in the learning process. Students involved in the conventional model are more inclined to be passive recipients of information and less engaged in the learning process. Furthermore, the conventional model also falls short in encouraging students to think critically and relate the subject matter to a real-life context
Challenges and strengthening the role of Pancasila ideology in the reform era through increasing literacy
The government has attempted to realize nation and character-building based on Pancasila values through a systemic and planned national education system. However, students\u27 understanding, skills, and actualization of Pancasila values still experience various obstacles, one of which is literacy. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the role of the Pancasila ideology through increasing ideological literacy among students. This research aims to uncover challenges and strengthen the role of the Pancasila ideology through increasing literacy. The approach used in this research is qualitative with a literature review method using inductive and descriptive analysis. The research findings found that the challenges of strengthening the role of Pancasila ideology, namely instilling Pancasila values amidst the onslaught of foreign culture, increasing human resources based on Pancasila values, and efforts to maintain its existence. One way to strengthen the role of Pancasila ideology is to increase the literacy skills of Pancasila ideology among students. Increasing literacy in Pancasila ideology can enable students to understand and apply Pancasila values in everyday life. The implication of this research is to increase Pancasila ideology literacy among students and encourage stakeholders or teachers to increase ideological literacy while at the same time instilling Pancasila values among students
Item analysis of reading comprehension questions for English proficiency test using Rasch model
The need to take English as a foreign language proficiency test (known as TOEFL [Test of English Language Proficiency]) has been gaining popularity in Indonesia. The increasing demands for such a test and its expensive cost have reinforced many institutions to develop TOEFL instruments and administer the test internally. However, constructing a test instrument is a complex process that makes conducting item analysis become more challenging. Meanwhile, item analysis is crucial to assess the items\u27 quality. Therefore, this study reported the results of statistically analyzing 20 questions of TOEFL reading comprehension that were analyzed in terms of the test reliability, the item and person fit, and the items\u27 difficulty level. Thirty-eight members of the English Department Students\u27 Association of a state university in West Java participated in this study by taking the reading test. The data were analyzed using the Rasch model by utilizing the Quest program. The results showed that four items (36.8%) did not fulfill the ideal criteria of a valid test because they were too easy and too difficult to be given to the target test takers; thus, they needed to be discarded. Meanwhile, 16 items (63.2%) are of good quality and can be used immediately in the proficiency test, especially to measure reading comprehension skills, because they have fulfilled the standard requirements for a valid test. The findings have provided insight into the importance of item analysis in validating test instruments to improve the test quality for future administrations
Comparison of item characteristic analysis models of reading literacy test with polytomous Item Response Theory
This study aims to compare the analysis model of the characteristics of reading literacy items with the polytomous item response theory, which uses the Graded Response Model (GRM), Partial Credit Model (PCM), Generalized Partial Credit Model (GPCM), and Nominal Reasons Model (NRM). This research is quantitative research in nature, and secondary datawere used from about 1000 test takers’ responses to reading literacy items in the 2018 reading literacy study analyzed with the R program. This model comparison was carried out so that the analysis results obtained were more accurate in representing the level of reading literacy skills in Indonesia. The results show that the GPCM model is the fit model with an AIC value of 23753.89 and a BIC value of 24042.45, and the number of suitable testlets is 7 out of a total of 7 testlets. Based on the relationship between information function scores and SEM, reading literacy items provide higher information when participants’ abilities range between -2.3 and +

A Survey on Software Requirements Engineering in Information Technology Institutions
Requirements engineering is a crucial phase in software development. In theory, requirements gathering should follow structured and systematic steps to ensure all requirements are complete, consistent, and clear. However, there is a lack of research in real-world contexts, particularly in small and medium-sized software development organizations, which often face challenges related to human resources, infrastructure, and financial constraints. This study aims to explore the practices of requirements engineering in software development agencies. A qualitative approach was used, employing a narrative (descriptive) research design. Data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation from six institutions involved in developing various types of software. The data were then analyzed using Yin\u27s Five Cycle content analysis method, supported by Nvivo 12 software. The findings reveal that the time required for gathering requirements varies between institutions (four institutions take 1 week to 1 month, two take 1 to 3 months, and two take over 3 months). Regarding the analysts\u27 backgrounds, all institutions consider requirements elicitation a critical stage in software development, leading them to hire analysts with IT educational backgrounds, most of whom possess significant work experience. This is further evidenced by the fact that all institutions consider staff experience when forming requirements analysis teams and assigning senior staff to specific roles. There is limited practical variation in the sources of requirements and elicitation techniques. All institutions rely on objectives, domain knowledge, stakeholders, and the operational environment as sources of requirements. As for elicitation techniques, they primarily use interviews, facilitated meetings, and document reviews
Instrument and evaluation of students\u27 involvement in learning Mathematics in 21-century skills at senior high schools of Riau province
Student engagement is the most crucial factor in learning activities because it is the main factor in improving student learning outcomes in class. This study aims to develop instruments and evaluate student involvement in learning mathematics to achieve maximum learning outcomes at school. The population in this study was all high school students in Riau Province. The sample is 150 high school students selected by multiple-stage random sampling based on high, medium, and low student achievement levels. Data analysis in this study was carried out four times: (1) data analysis based on the results of expert assessment of the instrument with the Aiken formula; (2) small-scale validity data analysis with first-order CFA; (3) large-scale data analysis with second-order CFA analysis; (4) descriptive analysis to see the categorization of student learning engagement in Riau Province whether in very good, good, not good and very not good. The analysis using the Aiken formula shows that 24 out of 27 items developed are valid. The first-order CFA analysis shows that the 24 items distributed are valid. The second-order analysis shows that the construct validity of the learning involvement variable is valid and reliable. The analysis of learning involvement results shows that students\u27 involvement in learning mathematics is in the not-good category. The Riau provincial government needs to maximize student learning engagement which can be done by regulating students\u27 effective study hours at school and home. Collaboration between parents and schools must be improved so parents can control student learning outside of school
