Development of Interactive Learning Multimedia by Applying Contextual Teaching and Learning for Basic Graphic Design Subjects
The objectives of this study were to 1) create interactive learning multimedia materials by incorporating contextual teaching and learning to aid students in understanding graphic design topics for class X, 2) examine the viability of interactive learning multimedia by incorporating contextual teaching and learning to fundamental design subjects, and 3) assess the efficacy of using interactive learning multimedia by incorporating contextual teaching and learning. The three stages of this research\u27s development-planning, design, and development are based on the Alessi and Trollip model. A total of 36 students from class X Multimedia 2 at SMK N 2 Sewon served as the research participants, while X Multimedia 1 served as the control group. gathering information through observation, questionnaires, learning product assessments, and learning accomplishment tests the findings revealed that: 1) Multimedia interactive learning materials for the foundational subject of graphic design in class X multimedia semester 2 at SMK N 2 Sewon were prepared. 2) Students (87.77%; extremely feasible ), media professionals (94.18%), and material specialists (84.16%) rate the viability of learning media. (3) When contextual teaching and learning are applied, interactive learning media are said to be quite successful at improving student learning results
Development of Mangrove Ecosystem E-encyclopedia as a Reference Source to Improve Information Literacy Skills and Environmental Care Attitudes of Students
This study aims to produce a development product that is feasible and effective to use for science learning in schools. The product developed is an e-encyclopedia of mangrove ecosystems. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) model developed by Borg & Gall. The subjects of the limited trial consisted of 15 students of class VII. In comparison, the field trial consisted of 52 students from VII-G and VII-E of SMP IT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta. The data collection instruments included interviews, field observations, information literacy evaluation questions, and student environmental care attitude questionnaires. The field trial design used a pretest-posttest control group design. The results showed that: (1) the developed mangrove ecosystem e-encyclopedia is very suitable for use in science learning; (2) the e-encyclopedia of mangrove ecosystems is effective for improving students\u27 information literacy skills and environmental care attitudes. Teachers\u27 lesson plan in the implementation of HOTS oriented physical education learning
Lesson plan is the main key in learning. This study aims to analyze the lesson plans of High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) oriented big ball games subject in physical education learning. This is descriptive quantitative research, with document analysis method. 16 lesson plans arranged by 16 teachers from 16 schools in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta involved in this study. This study analyzes big ball game lesson plans including eight indicators: formulation of indicators, learning objectives, learning methods, learning media, learning materials, learning resources, learning activities, and learning assessments using document analysis guidelines with descriptors ranging from 1-5 scales (very good, good, acceptable, poor, very poor). The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis and is presented in percentage. The results showed that the analysis of HOTS-oriented big ball game lesson plans as a whole was included in the sufficient category with a range of eight indicators 29-84. The learning resource component is the component of the lesson plan that has the lowest average of 1.94. The learning activity component is the lesson plan component that has the highest mean of 19.12. It can be concluded that learning resources need the main attention to be improved in order to realize HOTS learning. Therefore, future research should consider the type of game, level of education, region or area, and health conditions due to post-pandemic situations
Soft skills profile of critical thinking ability for culinary arts students in online learning
The ability to think critically has become a demand in the 21st century. This paper describes how culinary arts students\u27 soft skills ownership profile after participating in online learning through the communication media application used. This study is survey research, processed by quantitative description. The research subjects were the culinary arts study program students with diploma 4 and bachelor\u27s degrees, Department of Food and Clothing Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. The population of this study is all students who are part of ongoing online learning. Samples were taken at simple random. The data collection technique used a questionnaire via google form; the goal was affordability from the aspect of place and time. The study focuses on mastering soft skills in learning and innovation skills, especially critical thinking and problem-solving. The survey results show that Catering lecturers widely use online media, such as the Google Meet application, Google Classroom, and Be-Smart. More than half of the soft skills profiles displayed by culinary arts students show critical thinking behaviors (61%). The behavior of critical thinking soft skills that is quite prominent is the ability to think rationally, consider well to solve problems and be able to make creative solutions to tasks found during learning. Online learning implies that it is necessary to increase human resources, especially lecturers, in optimizing online media applications. Students need support in the form of triggers and the preparation of learning tools that can awaken critical thinking skills
The impact of online learning on students learning motivation
The current Covid-19 pandemic forces the learning process to be carried out online or long distance to impact every factor that supports smooth learning, one of which is student learning motivation. Thus, this study aims to determine the impact of online learning on vocational school students\u27 learning motivation. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive research method. The research approach used is a literature study by collecting data from the results of research that has been done previously that discusses the variables related to this research. The study indicates that several factors cause a decrease in student learning motivation, including the need for more learning facilities to support student learning activities, including electronic devices and inadequate Internet networks. Boredom is also another factor that reduces students\u27 learning motivation. In addition, changing the method of delivering learning materials to giving individual assignments is a burden for students. The role of the teacher as a motivator and mentor for students in learning could be more optimal, which also causes a decrease in student learning motivation. Parents who are busy and need more time to pay attention to their children\u27s learning conditions also reduce students\u27 learning motivation
The appraisal model of remedial and enrichment activities integrated with the independent curriculum in vocational field
Implementing remedial and enrichment strategies followed by modeling the weight of the appraisal is the goal to be achieved in this study. The ASSURE model in this study has been used to develop an appraisal model for remedial and enrichment activities integrated with the independent curriculum in the vocational field. The results showed that the peer tutoring strategy among students could optimize remedial and enrichment outcomes. The students have shown their ability in independent and collaborative learning. In remedial and enrichment activities, groups of enrichment students have been directed to help their friends to be successful in remedial. Students\u27 success in the remedial process is the success of enriching other students and vice versa. Each student has received an appreciation of the value according to his effort. The progress of remedial students is 8% to 82%, with an average of 10%. This progress forms the basis for determining the final score for the remedial, intermediate, and enrichment groups as tutors. The difference between the remedial and enrichment appraisal weights was determined using mathematical model 1. The final score of students who become tutors is determined using the mathematical model 3. The three mathematical models above can calculate remedial, enrichment, and tutor results. The use of this model helps teachers or lecturers to be more objective in giving grades. Lecturers\u27 appraisal of student learning outcomes has been carried out in a transparent, fair, and accountable following the differences in the potential competencies of each student. Students have followed the learning process, the assessment process has been carried out properly, the teacher\u27s documentation is complete, and the teacher is more confident
The evaluation of village building program/thematic real work lecture (KKNT) MBKM\u27s implementation at UIN Sunan Kalijaga
This study aims to determine the standards of MBKM Thematic KKN, how the implementation of this program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, as well as to determine the gap between the existing standards and the form of implementation. This evaluation research uses the descrepancy evaluation model with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection in this study used interview techniques, documentation, and was equipped with an open questionnaire. The data sources in this study at the interview stage were 7 resource persons 1 Head of PPM UIN Sunan Kalijaga, 2 Field Supervisor (DPL), 2 heads of Study Programs and 2 students, as well as 33 students as respondents on the open questionnaire instrument. The content validity of the open questionnaire in this study received a value of 0.958, this value was obtained with 5 experts. Observation and documentation are also important data source instruments. Evaluation results in this study are in accordance with existing standards, the village development policy/KKNT for MBKM at UIN Sunan Kalijaga is a derivative policy called KKN conversion. The purpose of this conversion KKN is in line with KKNT, but there are various policy details that are changed according to the situation and conditions of UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The recommendation from this research is that the village development policy/KKNT MBKM can be implemented well in universities but adjusted to the situation and circumstances in each university
The power of mass media in literature development in Indonesia
This study aims to reveal how the mass media has a very large role to develop literature in Indonesia. This is important to mention considering that literature is one of the signs of a nation\u27s civilization, therefore support from various directions for developing literature is very meaningful. With this research, it is hoped that the world of Indonesian literature can further develop in the future, especially through the role of the mass media. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach, the data was collected through interviews and a comprehensive review of documents. The data obtained is then reduced and compiled into a scientifically justifiable research report. The results of this study show that the contribution of the mass media is very large in the development of literature in Indonesia. LoRA Gateway Coverage and Capacity Analysis for Supporting Monitoring Passive Infrastructure Fiber Optic in Urban Area
In the era of digital transformation, telecommunications infrastructure has become the backbone of global connectivity. Optical Distribution Cabinet (ODC) is a crucial part of an optical network that distributes signals to various points in the network. Maintenance and monitoring of ODCs have become essential to ensure optimal availability and performance. However, conventional approaches are often expensive and difficult to implement. The objective of this study is to develop a LoRaWAN network with the purpose of determining the required number of gateways. Additionally, the research aims to devise an IoT-basedODC device monitoring system within the FTTH network, utilizing data from PT. Telkom Witel Bandung. The approach involves employing simulation techniques through the Atoll apps v 3.40. Multiple calculation stages are applied to expect RSSI and SINR parameters within an area spanning 188.96 km². The study employs a frequency of 920 MHz, a bandwidth of 125 kHz, and a spreading factor of 10. The data analysis includes RSSI and SINR signals. As a result of calculations and planning simulations, this study recommended the use of nine gateways and achieved an RSSI parameter of -70. 35 dBm and a SINR parameter of 17. 33 dBm
A Comparison of OpenNMT Sequence Model for Indonesian Automatic Question Generation
Evaluation of learners is a crucial aspect of the educational system. However, creating evaluation instruments is a process that demands teachers\u27 time and energy. The researcher developed the Indonesia Automatic Question Generator in this study using an architecture modified from past studies. The primary goals of this project are (1) to construct an AQG tool utilizing the OpenNMT series and (2) to analyze and compare the model\u27s performance. As a data source, this study employs the SQuAD 2.0 dataset and numerous sequence techniques, including BiGRU, BiLSTM, and Transformer. The researcher trained the models using OpenNMT-py and Google Collaboratory. This approach generates questions that are relevant to the context of the source.
