An analysis of interaction patterns in students\u27 research essay guidance to build six main parameters of the Indonesian National Qualification Framework: Covid-19 pandemic period
This study aims to reveal the interaction patterns and inhibiting factors for the final project guidance in the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education Department, Universitas Lampung, to develop the six main parameters of the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (INQF). The study employed a mixed method involving 67 students who composed the final project for the 2021/2022 academic year selected from 314 final project students using the cluster random sampling technique. The data in this study were primary and secondary data obtained by questionnaires, interviews, and documents, analyzed qualitatively, quantitatively, and descriptively. The closed-response questionnaire was used regarding the interaction pattern, the INQF parameters achievement, and perceptions of the achievement of students\u27 core competencies. An open-response questionnaire regarding the inhibiting factors for the final project guidance was used to provide the qualitative data. Descriptive analysis was conducted to determine the profile and interaction pattern of the final project guidance, while the qualitative analysis using Miles and Huberman model was to reveal the inhibiting factors of the final project. The results show that: (1) the dominant interaction pattern that occurred was an associative pattern originating from the factors of suggestion, identification, and sympathy; (2) the INQF parameter with the best score is the science parameter with an average parameter achievement of 9.97 from the lowest score 3.00 until the highest score 12.38; and (3) the perception of achieving the highest core competency of students is the aspect of soft skills, both personal and interpersonal, with the highest average perception of achieving core competency being 59.71 out of 80
Pancasila Education in Indonesia: The debate on Pancasila in the post reform era between legitimation, recognition, and institutionalization during 2000-2021
Pancasila is mentioned as the basis of the philosophy of the State. Understanding the narrow and limited meaning of Pancasila has resulted in polemics in the life of the nation and state, especially in Pancasila education. This study aims to analyze the debate and dynamics of Pancasila education from the aspects of legitimacy, recognition, and institutionalization. This research is philosophical research, using qualitative research methods through literature review. The analysis in this study used critical discourse analysis. The research process includes data inventory, data categorization, and data analysis. The results of this study indicate that the debate about Pancasila education since the post occurred from the framework of the legitimacy of power, there has been a dualism of legitimacy between the executive and the legislature. Based on the recognition aspect, Pancasila education has not yet received adequate recognition from the state and educational institutions. From the institutional aspect, efforts to institutionalize the values of Pancasila from the educational aspect still encounter problems because there is no certainty in placing Pancasila under what kind of institution
Intelligent Security System in A Campus Building Using RFID to Improve Security for Elevator Users
This study aims to develop an intelligent system of elevator access with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) using fuzzy logic as an intelligent system, a safety controller of elevator doors that will open when the power goes out. This research made an Arduino Uno-based elevator access system with an RFID card using fuzzy logic as an intelligence system and markers for each floor. Each floor has an RFID card that contains the information data of each floor. This research uses research and development (R&D) methods with a waterfall development model. The research procedure consists of several stages, namely the requirement analysis stage, design, implementation, testing, operation, and maintenance. Based on the research and development of the elevator control intelligent system, it can be concluded that the intelligent control lift system was developed using a waterfall model. integration and system testing includes RFID-RC522 reading distance testing, component function testing, and RFID response time measurement testing. The test results show that the RFID-RC522 is readable, and the RFID response time is fast. In addition, the components and all features function well as an elevator control system
Comparison of DC Motor Speed Calculation Efficiency between Inductive Proximity Sensor and Rotary Encoder
This study examines the level of effectiveness and efficiency of a sensor on the calculation of the rotational speed (RPM) of a DC motor, considering that the calculation of the rotational speed of an electric motor, both AC motors and DC motors, greatly influences the output of the system. the speed of motor rotation is very influential in several fields, such as power generation, which will affect the output voltage that will be generated. There are many methods for measuring the rotational speed of a motor, including using an inductive proximity sensor and a rotary encoder combined with a PLC as a control center and data processor so that the rotational speed can be read. the output of the proximity sensor and rotary encoder will be connected to the PLC input pin so that data will appear in the form of a pulse value which can be seen in the program that has been made. The data obtained will be processed in a program that uses special instructions, namely PRV. In comparison, the speed of a dc motor will be changed using a PWM module or pulse width modulation to adjust the rotational speed of the motor. From the results of experiments that have been carried out using the proximity sensor, it gives an average motor speed reading of 6420 Rpm with an error of -10.3, and experiments carried out using a rotary encoder give an average motor speed reading of 6409.3 Rpm with an error of 0.4 so that it can be concluded that the use of a rotary encoder is more accurate than the use of a proximity sensor to calculate motor speed
Triple hop test ability performed by athletes in the regional athletic center during the competition period
Tests and Measurements, is an integral part of various human activities, as well as in sports training activities. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The population that the researchers determined was in regional training center athletes in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Sampling techniques are carried out by purposive random sampling, namely athletes who enter the regional training center in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, so that a number of 106 athletes are obtained. The instrument used to collect the research data used the triple hop test to determine the athlete\u27s ability level. The data in quantitative research obtained from respondents is tabulated then calculated the percentage, and then analyzed. The instrument used to collect the research data used the triple hop test to determine the athlete\u27s ability level. The data in quantitative research obtained from respondents is tabulated then calculated the percentage, and then analyzed. The results, it can be argued that the average level of the level of triple hop ability of regional training center athletes during the periodization of competition is in the less category for each category of men and women. Therefore, it is necessary to provide special evaluation and treatment
Periodization method of physical exercise for obese people
During the COVID-19 pandemic, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention CDC, stated that obesity prevalence increased by 52%. In Indonesia, the prevalence of obesity is 21.8%. Obesity triggers an increase in pro-inflammatory cytokines, which induces chronic inflammation both locally and systemically, which can cause health problems, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, metabolite syndrome, and an increased risk of infection. One of the components of obesity management is increasing physical activity. One of the domains of physical activity is exercise. Exercise with the appropriate frequency, duration, intensity, type, and periodization can influence cytokine modulation so that it can reduce systemic inflammation and increase physical fitness. This evidence-based case report (EBCR) aims to determine the type of exercise periodization in obesity management and its effect on health-related fitness. The process of searching for literature on EBCR uses the PRISMA method on 3 databases, namely: PubMed, EBSCOhost, and ProQuest. From the search results, it was found that the combination of endurance and strength training exercises with linear periodization 3 times a week, was found to be better in improving fitness in obese people. Linear periodization increases cardiopulmonary fitness with a relative mean difference of 17.8(0.3 to 35.3) %, maximal strength with 1 RM bench press and 1 RM leg press test also increased, and also reduce body fat percentage about 2.1(-4.8 to 0.5) %. Thus, the combination of strength and cardiorespiratory exercise with linear periodization gives a positive response to the components of health-related fitness in obese people
Development of interactive sport measurement test learning media
Media is one of the factors that support the success of the learning process, but there are still several shortcomings in the use of media to support learning. The aim of this research is to produce learning media in the physical education measurement test subject based on interactive multimedia, with product results in the form of mobile applications, interactive VCDs, printed books, and indexed reputable international journals which will later be used both in learning activities and in independent learning to facilitate in delivering learning material for physical education measurement tests. This study used the research and development approach from Borg and Gall. The target products or users in this study were lecturers in the sport\u27s physical education measurement test course. The subjects in this study were all PJKR FIK Unimed students who took the sport physical education measurement test course. The findings of the small group test showed that the questionnaire product had a total score of 565, an average of 28.25, and a total percentage of 70.62% in a small trial with a fairly valid category (used). The product could thus be used in this study, but the authors chose to carry out a large group trial to validate the product. Based on the findings of the large group test, the product questionnaire has a total score of 1369, an average of 34.22, and an overall percentage of 85.56% in a small trial with a very valid (used) category. Paired T-test employed to validate the product. Tcount = 5.11 determined from the findings of the calculation of the effectiveness test data. Pricing t-table = 2.08 calculated from the distribution list t using probability 1- = 0.95 and dk n-1 (30-1) = 1. This is mean there is an effect of learning media on interactive multimedia - sport-based measurement test, so that t count \u3e t table. It can be concluded that the interactive sports measurement test learning media in this study are well developed, valid, and effective to improve sport measurement test learning outcome
Framing science in the time of Covid-19 pandemic: Lessons from CNN Philippines\u27 reportage
This century has necessitated scholars to probe the credence of science in the news reportage of the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, this paper aims to establish the locus of science as treated by CNN against the backdrop of this global health crisis. Using Nisbet\u27s (2009) typology as the new paradigm in public engagement as informed by content analysis, this paper argues that CNN Philippines\u27 news articles are mostly framed as scientific/technical uncertainty which holds science with the highest esteem in decision-making, but it also disregards its authority for political reasons. As guided by Yanovitzky and Weber (2019), this paper also articulates that the functions of CNN as a news media organization in the reportage of science are mobilization and awareness which provoke action among policy actors through relevant information. Further, this paper offers a perceptive look into an emerging dimension for science communication scholars: the gulf between science and politics which surfaces the politicization of key pandemic decisions
