    PENGEMBANGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MALCOLM\u27S MODELING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan model pembelajaran fisika berbasis Malcom\u27s Modeling Method yang layak digunakan di sekolah, dan (2) mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran fisika berbasis Malcom\u27s Modeling Method dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam ranah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D). Prosedur pengembangan mengadaptasi dari prosedur pengembangan yang dikembangkan oleh Borg & Gall dengan langkah-langkah meliputi (1) penelitian dan pengumpulan data, (2) perencanaan, (3) pengembangan bentuk awal produk, (4) uji coba lapangan awal, (5) revisi hasil uji coba lapangan awal, (6) uji coba lapangan, (7) revisi hasil uji coba lapangan dan (8) diseminasi. Subjek uji coba lapangan awal terdiri atas 36 siswa kelas X MIA 6 di SMA N 7 Yogyakarta. Subjek uji coba lapangan pada kelas ekperimen terdiri atas 36 orang siswa kelas X MIA 1 dan pada kelas kontrol terdiri atas 34 orang siswa kelas X MIA 5 di SMA N 7 Yogyakarta. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan soal untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir kritis, angket untuk mengukur motivasi belajar, angket respon siswa dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji MANOVA dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Malcom\u27s Modeling Method ditinjau dari sintaks, sistem sosial, prinsip reaksi, sistem pendukung dan dampak instruksional dan pengiring layak digunakan di sekolah dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil uji MANOVA menunjukkan model Malcom\u27s Modeling Method dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar siswa pada taraf signifikansi 5 %. DEVELOPING A PHYSICS INSTRUCTION MODEL BASED ON MALCOLM\u27S MODELING TO IMPROVE CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS AND LEARNING MOTIVATION Abstract This research aims to (1) develop a physics instruction model based on Malcolm\u27s modeling method, which is eligible for school and (2) reveal if the physics instruction model based on Malcolm\u27s modeling method can develop the critical thinking skills and learning motivation of students. This research is research and development (R& D) adapting the developmental procedure of Borg and Gall consisting, of (1) research and information collecting, (2) planning, (3) developing preliminary form of product, (4) preliminary field testing, (5) main product revision, (6) main field testing, (7) operasional product revision, and (8) disseminating. The subjects of the preliminary field testing were 36 students of class X MIA 6, SMA N 7 Yogyakarta. The subjects of main field testing were 36 students of class X MIA1 as the experiment class and 34 students of class X MIA 5 as the control class in SMA N 7 Yogyakarta. The data were collected using a test to measure the critical thinking, questionnaires to measure the learning motivation of the students, student response questionnaires and observation sheet. The data were analyzed using MANOVA with the significance level of 5%.The result of this research shows that the physics instruction model based on Malcolm\u27s modeling method in terms of syntax, social system, principles of reaction, support system, instructio-nal and nurturant effect is eligible for the school which is in a very good category according to the validator.     Pengaruh pengalaman prakerin, hasil belajar produktif dan dukungan sosial terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa SMK

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) tingkat kesiapan kerja siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri (SMKN) 2 Ciamis, dan (2) hubungan dan pengaruh pengalaman prakerin, hasil belajar mata diklat produktif dan dukungan sosial keluarga terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa SMKN 2 Ciamis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian ex-post facto, dengan desain penelitian korelasional. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukan bahwa tingkat kesiapan kerja siswa SMKN 2 Ciamis adalah sebesar 36,65% siswa memiliki tingkat kesiapan kerja pada kategori sangat tinggi, dan 63,35% siswa memiliki tingkat kesiapan kerja yang tinggi. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara pengalaman prakerin, hasil belajar mata diklat produktif dan dukungan sosial keluarga terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa, dengan kontribusi yang diberikan adalah 32,7% (R2 = 0,327). Hal ini menjelaskan bahwa pengalaman prakerin, hasil belajar mata diklat produktif dan dukungan sosial keluarga secara bersama-sama mampu menjelaskan varian kesiapan kerja siswa SMKN 2 Ciamis sebesar 32,7%. THE EFFECT OF SCHOOL ON-THE JOB EXPERIENCES, STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT IN PRODUCTIVE AND SOCIAL SUPPORT ON STUDENT WORK READINESS OF VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOLL Abstract This research was aims to reveal: (1) the level of work readiness of the students of vocational high schools (VHS) 2 of Ciamis and (2) the relationship and effect of school on-the job training experiences, achievement in productive subjects and family social support simultaneously on the students\u27 work readiness. This research was a ex-post facto research with corelational design. The result of the descriptive analysis shows the level of students\u27 work readiness in VHS 2 of Ciamis as follows: 36.65% of the students have the excellent work readiness, and 63.35% of the students have good work readiness. The hypothesis testing shows a positive and significant effect of the school onthe- job training experiences, students\u27 achievement in productive subjects and family social support simultaneously on the students\u27 work readiness, with the contribution are 32.7% (R2 = 0.327). This shows that the school on-the- job training experience, , student achievement in productive subject and family social support simultaneously are able to explain the variant of the students\u27 work readiness as much as 32,7%

    Pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif kompetensi dasar pemasangan sistem penerangan dan wiring kelistrikan di SMK

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif kompetensi dasar pemasangan sistem penerangan dan wiring kelistrikan; (2) mengetahui kualitas multimedia pembelajaran interaktif; dan (3) mengetahui efektifitas multimedia pembelajaran interaktif kompetensi dasar pemasangan sistem penerangan dan wiring kelistrikan pada kelas XI SMK bidang keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan. Validasi multimedia dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media. Subjek uji coba penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa kelas XI SMKN 2 Depok, Sleman, Yogyakarta bidang keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) produk multimedia pembelajaran interaktif kompetensi dasar pemasangan sistem penerangan dan wiring kelistrikan layak digunakan; (2) kualitas multimedia interaktif ini sangat baik, hasil penilaian ahli ditinjau dari pembelajaran 66 (baik), isi sebesar 54 (baik), aspek tampilan 97 (baik), dan program 50 (baik), sedangkan hasil dari penilaian peserta didik uji coba lapangan pada aspek pembelajaran1277 (sangat baik), isi 1195 (sangat baik), tampilan 1562 (sangat baik), dan pemograman 519 (sangat baik); (3) Produk multimedia pembelajaran interaktif kompetensi dasar pemasangan sistem penerangan dan wiring kelistrikan efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Rata-rata penilaian hasil belajar siswa ketika pretest adalah 63,75 dengan nilai terendah 50 dan nilai tertinggi 75. Sedangkan rata-rata nilai posttest sebesar 78,75 dengan nilai terendah 65 dan nilai tertinggi 90. DEVELOPING INTERACTIVE LEARNING MULTIMEDIA THE BASIC COMPETENCY IN INSTALLING LIGHTING AND ELECTRIC WIRING SYSTEMS AT VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS Abstract This study aims to: (1) develop an interactive learning multimedia the basic competency in installing lighting and electric wiring system; (2) describe an the quality of the interactive learning multimedia; and (3) describe the effectiveness of the interactive learning multimedia the basic competency in installing lighting and electric wiring system for Grade XI students of the Light Vehicle Engineering expertise competency program at SMK. This was a research and development (R & D). The validation of the multimedia by a matterial expert and media expert. The tryout subjects in the study were 32 people Grade XI students of the Light Vehicle Engineering expertise competency program at SMKN 2 Depok. The conclusions of the study are as follows. (1) the interactive learning multimedia product for the basic competency in installing lighting and electric wiring systems is appropriate to be used for learning grade XI SMK. (2) the assessment of the material expert and media expert on instructional learning multimedia show that the learning aspect attain a score of 66 (good), the content aspect attains a score of 54 (good), the display aspect attains a score 97 (good) and the aspect attains a score of the 50 (good) while the students\u27 assessment from the field tryout conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Depok shows that the learning aspect attains a score of 1277 (very good), the content aspect attains a score of 1195 (very good), the display aspect attains a score of 1562 (very good), and the programming aspect attains a score of 519 (very good); (3) the developed product is effective to improve the student learning outcomes. This is indicated by the result of the pretest and posttest analysis. The Average assessment of learning outcomes when the pretest of 63,75, with the lowest score of 50 and a highest of 75. While the average score posttest of 78,75 with the lowest score of 65 and the highest score of 90

    Hubungan Antara Kemampuan Verbal, Kemampuan Interpersonal, dan Minat Belajar dengan Prestasi Belajar Matematika

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan kemampuan verbal, kemampuan interpersonal, dan minat belajar dengan prestasi belajar matematika siswa SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian expost facto. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP di Kabupaten Purworejo. Sampel yang berasal dari sembilan sekolah di tiga daerah ditentukan dengan cluster random sampling technique. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan angket. Hasil analisis menunjukkan kemampuan verbal, kemampuan interpersonal, dan minat belajar matematika secara bersama-sama berhubungan dengan prestasi belajar matematika siswa SMP, di mana kontribusi yang diberikan sebesar 38,60% serta persamaan regresi yang diperoleh ialah . Hubungan antara kemampuan verbal dan prestasi belajar matematika dengan kontribusi sebesar 23,62%; hubungan antara kemampuan interpersonal dan prestasi belajar matematika dengan kontribusi sebesar 1,64% dan hubungan antara minat belajar matematika dan prestasi belajar matematika dengan kontribusi sebesar 6,15%. The Relationship Among Verbal Ability, Interpersonal Ability, Interest in Learning, and the Mathematics Learning Achievement Abstract This study aims to describe correlation among verbal ability, interpersonal ability, interest in learning, and the mathematics learning achievement of junior high school (JHS) students. This study was a quantitative expost facto study. The population comprised all Year VIII students of JHS in Purworejo District. A sample consisting of nine schools from three areas was established using the cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected through a test and Likert-scale questionnaires. The results showed that verbal ability, interpersonal ability, and interest as an aggregate correlate with the learning mathematics achievement of JHS students, with a contribution of 38.6% obtained by the regression model Y = -1.385 + 0.635X1 + 0.039X2 + 0.085X3, the verbal ability and mathematics learning achievement with the contribution of 23.62%; the interpersonal ability and mathematics learning achievement with the contribution of 1.64%; and interest and mathematics learning achievement with the contribution of 6.15%.     Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran Matematika SMP Kelas VIII Semester Genap dengan Pendekatan Saintifik

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalahuntuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika SMP kelas VIII semester genap dengan pendekatan saintifik yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model pengembangan Four-D yang terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu: (1) pendefinisian, (2) perancangan, (3) pengembangan, dan (4) penyebaran.Kualitas perangkat pembelajaran terdiri dari tiga kriteria berikut: (1) kevalidan, (2) kepraktisan, dan (3) keefektifan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran yang terdiri atas RPP, LKS dan instrumen penilaian aspek sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagai berikut:(1)perangkat pembelajaran memenuhi kriteria kevalidanberdasarkan hasil validasi ahli; (2) perangkat pembelajaran memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan berdasarkan hasil penilaian oleh guru, penilaian oleh siswa, dan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran.; (3) perangkat pembelajaran memenuhi kriteria keefektifan berdasarkan hasil belajar siswa pada aspek sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Developing Mathematics Instructional Materials for 8th Grade Students of Junior High School in Their Second Semester Based on the Scientific Approach Abstract The aim of this study is to produce mathematics instructional materials for 8thgrade students of junior high school in their second semester based on the scientific approach which is valid, practical, and effective.This study was a research and development study using the Four-D development model consisting of fourstages: (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop,and (4) disseminate.The quality of instructional materials consisting of the following three criterion: (1) validity, (2) practicality, and (3) effectiveness, The data analysis technique used in this study is a descriptive quantitative analysis. The research produced instructional materials consisting of lesson plans, student worksheets and assesment instrument for attitude, knowledge and skill aspects. The result of the research shows that: (1) the instructional materials fulfill the validity criteria base on experts\u27 appraisal; (2) the instructional materials fulfill the practicality criterion base on teacher\u27sassesment, students\u27 assessment, and learning implementation; (3)the instructional materials fulfill the effectiveness criterion base on student learning achievement in attitude, knowledge and skill aspects.     Perbandingan antara Keefektifan Model Guided Discovery Learning dan Project-Based Learning pada Matakuliah Geometri

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan dan perbedaan keefektifan antara model Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) dan model Project- Based Learning (PjBL) ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, kepercayaan diri, dan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pada matakuliah geometri ruang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dua kelas mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Ahmad Dahlan semester 2 yang dipilih secara acak. Analisis data untuk menguji keefektifan model GDL dan model PjBL ditinjau dari masing-masing variabel terikat menggunakan Uji t. Sedangkan teknik analisis data untuk menguji perbedaan antara keefektifan model GDL dan model PjBL menggunakan Uji MANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, kepercayaan diri, dan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa diketahui bahwa penerapan model GDL pada matakuliah Geometri Ruang efektif, penerapan Model PjBL pada matakuliah Geometri Ruang efektif, dan tidak terdapat perbedaan keefektifan model GDL dan model PjBL pada matakuliah Geometri Ruang. Kata Kunci: model guided discovery learning, model project-based learning, prestasi belajar, kepercayaan diri, keterampilan berpikir kritis The Comparisons Between the Effectiveness of the Guided Discovery Learning Model and Project-Based Learning Model on Solid Geometry Subjects Abstract This research aims to describe the effectiveness and effectiveness differences of the Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) Model and the Project Based Learning (PjBL) Model in terms of achievement, self-confidence, and critical thinking skills of students on the Solid Geometry subjects. This research was quasi experimental. The research subjects were two undergraduate classes of Mathematics Education Program, Ahmad Dahlan University, in their second semester, established at random. The data analysis to test the effectiveness of the GDL and PjBL Models in terms of each of the dependent variables used the t-test. The data analysis to test differences between effectiveness of the GDL and that of the PjBL Model used the MANOVA test. The results of this research show that viewed from achievement, self confidence, and critical thinking skills of the students are the application of the GDL Model on Solid Geometry subject is effective, the application of the PjBL Model on Solid Geometry subject is effective, and there is no difference in the effectiveness of GDL and PjBL Models on Solid Geometry subject in terms of achievement, self confidence, and critical thinking skills of the students.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran pada materi bangun segitiga dan segi empat dengan penemuan terbimbing untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada Kompetensi Dasar Menghitung keliling dan luas bangun segitiga dan segi empat serta menggunakannya dalam pemecahan masalah yang layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan menggunakan model Plomp. Pengembangan yang dilakukan dengan 5 tahap yaitu: (1) analisis permasalahan, (2) rancangan, (3) realisasi, (4) implementasi, (5) evaluasi. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Patuk Gunungkidul dengan 32 siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi perangkat, lembar kepraktisan perangkat, dan tes. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data tentang kualitas produk yang dikembangkan yaitu kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran pada Kompetensi Dasar Menghitung keliling dan luas bangun segitiga dan segiempat serta menggunakannya dalam pemecahan masalah yang telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Kata Kunci: perangkat pembelajaran, penemuan terbimbing, pemecahan masalah DEVELOPING TEACHING AND LEARNING KITS THROUGH GUIDED DISCOVERY TO IMPROVE THE COMPETENCE OF PROBLEM SOLVING Abstract This research is aimed to produce a learning kits material of triangle and square shape through guided inquiry to improve a problem solving competence on the basic competence of counting the circle and the width of the triangle and square shape and use it to solve problem which is appropriate to use in a process of teaching and learning activity. This research is a developing research which uses the Plomp model. The development is done through 5 phases, i.e. (1) Problem analysis, (2) designing, (3) realization, (4) implementation, (5) evaluation. Subjects of trial-test in this research are the seven grade students of SMP Negeri Patuk 1 Gunungkidul, 32 students. The instruments of collecting data used are; validity observation sheet, practicality sheet, and test instruments. Data collected are data about the product quality which is developed, i.e. validity, practicality, and effectivity. This research produced the instrument of teaching and learning on the basic competence of counting the circle and the width of the triangle and square shape and use it to solve problem which fulfils the valid, practical and effective criterion.     Pengaruh strategi REACT ditinjau dari gaya kognitif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah, prestasi belajar dan apresiasi siswa terhadap matematika

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh strategi pembelajaran dan gaya kognitif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, prestasi belajar matematika, dan apre-siasi siswa terhadap matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang populasinya mencakup seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 10 Ambon yang terdiri dari enam kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan non tes sedangkan instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data meliputi soal tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, soal tes prestasi belajar matematika, dan angket apresiasi siswa terhadap matematika. Untuk melihat pengaruh strategi REACT dan gaya kognitif terhadap ketiga variabel dependen secara simultan, data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik Analisis Varians Multivariat Dua Jalur (Two Way MANOVA), sedangkan untuk menganalisis masing-masing gaya kognitif terhadap ketiga variabel dependen secara simultan, digunakan uji statistik Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA). Hasil penelitian pada taraf signi-fikan 5%, menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh strategi REACT terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, prestasi belajar matematika, dan apresiasi siswa terhadap matematika pada siswa SMA Negeri 10 Ambon. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan, siswa dengan gaya kognitif field inde-pendent lebih baik dari siswa dengan gaya kognitif field dependent ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecah-an masalah matematika, prestasi belajar matematika, dan apresiasi siswa terhadap matematika. The Effect of React Strategy in Terms Of Cognitive Style on the Problem Solving Skills, Learning Achievement, and Mathematical Appreciation of Students Abstract The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of learning strategies and cognitive style on mathematical problem solving skills, mathematics learning achievement, and mathematical apprecia-tion of students. This study was a quasi-experimental research whose population consisted of all 10th graders in State Senior High School 10 of Ambon. The data collecting techniques were a test and non-test whereas the instrument used to the collect the data consisted of mathematical problem solving test, mathematics learning achievement test, and a questionnaire for mathematical appreciation of students. To test the effect of treatment on all of the dependent variables simultaneously, the data were analyzed using Two-Way MANOVA, while to analyze each cognitive style on all of the dependent variables simultaneously, the data were analyzed using Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA). The results of the study, using significance level 5%, showed that the REACT strategy has an effect on student\u27s mathematical problem solving skills, mathematics learning achievement, and mathematical appreciation of students in State Senior High School 10 of Ambon. In the other words, the students with field independent cognitive style are better than those of the field dependent in terms of mathematical problem solving, mathematics learning achievement, and mathematical appreciation of students.     The implementation of e-learning with team builder at vocational high schools

    This research is aimed at: (1) producing an appropriate e-learning for English language studies in vocational high school, (2) evaluating the suitability of the developed e-learning in terms of appropriateness, accuracy and clarity, screen presentation and design, and appropriateness of the team builder module aspect, and (3) evaluating the effectiveness of the e-learning in practical application. This research and development (R&D) study used Alessi and Trollip\u27s model rearranged following ADDIE model, where the development of instruction followed Dick and Carey\u27s model and the need assessment procedures were adapted from Lee & Owens. Overall appropriateness and quality of the e-learning from alpha testing is \u27very appropriate\u27 and from beta testing is \u27excellent\u27. Alpha testing reveals that, the Team Builder Module is \u27very appropriate\u27 and beta testing reveals that, its overall quality is \u27excellent\u27. The e-learning is highly effective. The average score of the students raises 3.82 points (or 42.44%) in the post-test from pre-test score. The minimum score of the post-test (i.e. 8) is more than the maximum score of the pre-test (i.e. 7), so it is concluded that the use of e-learning does not deteriorate the performance of the students, but improves their performance

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi: (1) kemajuan penulisan tesis; (2) kompetensi penulisan tesis; (3) faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penulisan tesis; (4) faktor-faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi penulisan tesis; (5) tingkat kekreatifan capaian hasil tesis mahasiswa S2 Program Studi Pendidikan Teknologi dan Kejuruan (PTK). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian evaluasi formatif bersifat internal dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei hingga Oktober 2014. Responden penelitian mahasiswa S2 PTK angkatan 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 sebanyak 59 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket skala Likert dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemaju-an penulisan tesis termasuk kategori sangat baik. Kompetensi mahasiswa dalam penulisan tesis termasuk kategori sangat baik. Penulisan tesis dipengaruhi oleh faktor dalam dan luar kampus. Faktor-faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi penulisan tesis adalah ketersediaan waktu diskusi dengan dosen pembimbing, kemampuan menerapkan metode penelitian dan analisis data, beban tugas di tempat kerja, kemampuan memahami literatur asing, dukungan dosen pembim-bing, proses administrasi Pascasarjana, motivasi cepat lulus, dukungan keluarga, dan beasiswa. Tingkat kekreatifan mahasiswa dalam penulisan tesis termasuk kategori sangat baik. Kata kunci: evaluasi, penulisan tesis, kompetensi mahasiswa, Pendidikan Teknologi dan Kejuruan ______________________________________________________________ EVALUATION OF THESIS WRITING COMPETENCE OF MASTER\u27S DEGREE STUDENTS ON VOCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAM Abstract This study aimed to evaluate: (1) the progress of writing a thesis; (2) the competence of writing a thesis; (3) factors that influence the writing of the thesis; (4) the dominant factors that influence the writing of the thesis; (5) creativity of students in writing a thesis. This study was an internal formative evaluation conducted in May and October 2014. Respondents of this study were master degree students on Vocational and Technology Education Study Programs class of 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 as many as 59 people. The data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the progress of the thesis was classified in the excellent category. The competence of students in writing thesis was classified in very well category. Thesis writing is influenced by internal and exsternal campus factors. The dominant factors affecting the thesis were the availability of a discussion with the supervisor, the ability to apply research methods and data analysis, workload in the workplace, the ability to understand foreign literatur, supervisor support, administrative processes, motivation to pass quickly, family support, and scholarship.
