    Implementasi problem-based learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif, psikomotor, dan afektif siswa di SMK

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa pada kompetensi dasar sistem pengapian konvensional dalam mengimplementasikan metode problembased learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Data dianalisa secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagai berikut: (1) keaktifan siswa meningkat sebesar 11,20%; (2) keaktifan siswa kategori sangat tinggi sebanyak 36 siswa dan kategori tinggi sebanyak 3 siswa; (3) hasil belajar siswa aspek kognitif, psikomotor, dan afektif mengalami peningkatan masing-masing sebesar 5,32%, 5,03%, dan 2,05%; dan (4) hasil belajar siswa aspek kognitif, psikomotor dan afektif yang mencapai kompetensi minimal masingmasing sebanyak 36 siswa (92,31%), 36 siswa (92,31%), dan 38 siswa (97,40%) dari 39 jumlah siswa melalui penerapan problem-based learning. Kata kunci: problem-based learning, aspek kognitif, aspek psikomotor, aspek afektif, hasil belajar THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING TO IMPROVE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF COGNITIVE, PSYCHOMOTOR, AND AFFECTIVE OF STUDENTS IN VOCATIONAL SCHOOL Abstract This study aims to improve the learning activities and learning outcomes in learning conventional ignition system by implementing problem-based learning method. This study used a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisted of four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data were analyzed descriptively. The study results show that: (1) the learning activities increase as much as 11,20%, (2) the category of learning activities is very high for 36 students and high for 3 students, (3) the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective aspects in learning outcomes of students increasing which each part is 5,32%, 5,03%, and 2,05%, (4) the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective aspects in the learning outcomes reach minimum value criteria which each part is 36 students (92,31%), 36 students (92,31%), and 38 students (97,40%) from 39 students with the implementation of problem-based learnin

    Estimation of ability and item parameters in mathematics testing by using the combination of 3PLM/ GRM and MCM/ GPCM scoring model

    The main purpose of the study was to investigate the superiority of scoring by utilizing the combination of MCM/GPCM model in comparison to 3PLM/GRM model within a mixed-item format of Mathematics tests. To achieve the purpose, the impact of two scoring models was investigated based on the test length, the sample size, and the M-C item proportion within the mixed-item format test and the investigation was conducted on the aspects of: (1) estimation of ability and item parameters, (2) optimalization of TIF, (3) standard error rates, and (4) model fitness on the data. The investigation made use of simulated data that was generated based on fixed effects factorial design 2 x 3 x 3 x 3 and 5 replications resulting in 270 data sets. The data were analyzed by means of fixed effect MANOVA on Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of the ability and RMSE and Root Mean Square Deviation (RNSD) of the itemparameters in order to identify the significant main effects at level of a = .05; on the other hand, the interaction effects were incorporated into the error term for statistical testing. The -2LL statistics were also used in order to evaluate the moel fitness on the data set. The results of the study show that the combination of MCM/GPCM model provide higher accurate estimation than that of 3PLM/GRM model. In addition, the test information given by the combination of MCM/GPCM model is three times hhigher than that of 3PLM/GRM model although the test information cannot offer a solid conclusion in relation to the sample size and the M-C item proportion on each test length which provides the optimal score of thest information. Finally, the differences of fit statistics between the two models of scoring determine the position of MCM/GPCM model rather than that of 3PLM/GRM model

    Implementation of digital learning using interactive multimedia in excretory system with virtual laboratory

    The aim of this study are (1) Developing an interactive multimedia with virtual laboratory in excretory system for senior high school students (2) determine the eligibility of digital multimedia of excretory system (3) determine the effectivity of digital learning using interactive multimedia to improve student\u27s achievement and student activities of excretory system. This research was conducted in senior high school in Indonesia at SMA 1 Jepon, Blora for 2 month. The research approach using Educational Research and development including: (1)research and information collecting (2)planning (3) develop a preliminary form of product (4) preliminary field testing, validation of media by experts. (5) main product revision, (6)field testing (7)operational product revision (8) operational field testing, (9) the final product revision. The results showed that digital media of excretory system with virtual lab is outstanding criteria (91.17%) based on 2 expert validation result. Then on prelimenary field testing, the students give outstanding criteria (84.38%), and operation field testing is 92.19%. Digital learning using interactive multimedia also improve student activities, students who achieve the active criteria is 90,63%. Based on the results of research and discussion, can be concluded that digital multimedia of excretory system is very eligible, get possitive response from students and teacher, and effective to improve student achievement and student activity as excretory system media in senior high school

    Modified Robust Z method for equating and detecting item parameter drift

    This study is aimed at: (1) revising the criterion used in Robust Z Method for detecting Item Parameter Drift (IPD), (2) identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the modified Robust Z Method, and (3) investigating the effect of IPD on examinees\u27 classification consistency using empirical data. This study used two types of data. The simulated data were in the form of responses of 20,000 students on 40 dichotomous items generated by simulating six variables including: (1) ability distribution, (2) differences of groups\u27 ability between groups, (3) type of drifting, (4) magnitude of drifting, (5) anchor test length, and (6) number of drifting items. The empirical data was 4,187,444 students\u27 response of UN SD/MI 2011 who administered 41 test forms of Indonesian language, mathematics, and science. Modified Robust Z method was used to detect IPD and the IRT true score equating method was used to analyze the classification consistency. The results of this study show that: (1) the criterion of 0.5 point raw score TCC difference leads to 100% consistency on passing classification, (2) the modified Robust Z is accurate to detect the b and ab- drifting when the minimal length of anchor test is 25%, (3) IPD occurring on empirical data affected the passing status of more than 2,000 students

    Kajian Penggunaan Media Pembelajaran dalam Pelatihan Peningkatan Kompetensi Profesional Guru

    Tujuan dari makalah ini adalah mengkaji penggunaan media pembelajaran untuk pelatihan guru. Jenis Media pembelajaran yang bagaimana yang dapat digunakan dalam pelatihan guru untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dan online survei kepada guru yang berada di grup guru di jejaring sosial media. Penggunaan metode survei online di grup guru di jejaring sosial media diharapkan dapat menggali respon guru terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk pelatihan, serta permasalahan-permasalahan lain dalam peningkatan kompetensi profesional guru. Hasil kajian dan survei yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa permasalahan yang sering dihadapi oleh guru adalah Peningkatan kemampuan di bidang keahlian (42%), Minimnya alat bantu mengajar disekolah (24%), Kurikulum (15%) dan permasalahan lainnya (19%). Sedangkan pendapat guru tentang penggunaan media pembelajaran pada pelatihan guru masih sangat diperlukan dan media pembelajaran yang diharapkan dalam pelatihan guru adalah dalam bentuk : gabungan media (49%) , video pembelajaran (29%), e-learning (15%); dan trainer kit (6%). Alternatif model pelatihan yang diharapkan adalah pengintegrasian media pembelajaran pada pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi guru

    Penelitian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, hasil belajar serta tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap implementasi pembelajaran kooperatif model STAD. Model penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tiga siklus, dilaksanakan tiga bulan terhadap mahasiswa S1 reguler Jurusan Teknik Elektronika yang mengambil mata kuliah rangkaian listrik. Pegumpulan data dengan dokumentasi, observasi, dan tes, angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran kooperatif STAD dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Proses pembelajaran terkesan lebih menarik karena mahasiswa bukan lagi sebagai obyek tetapi lebih sebagai subyek dalam pembelajaran. Kondisi pembelajaran diwarnai dengan aktivitas diskusi kelompok, mahasiswa berperan aktif dan saling ketergantungan satu sama lain dalam penguasaan konsep, sehingga terjadi interaksi belajar multi arah, peran dosen justru sebagai fasilitator. Hasil belajar mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap implementasi pembelajaran kooperatif STAD 10,81 % menyatakan sangat setuju dan 89,19 % menyatakan setuju

    The aim of this study is to reveal the effect of SETS-based teaching as an effort to improve creativity in solving the environmental pollution problem and the effectiveness of teaching based on SETS compare to Problem-Based Learning (PBL). The design of this study was Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. The population was students of SMA N 1 Prambanan, Klaten with the student of class X as a sample. To determine the effect of each study, the data was analyzed using the paired t-test. While to determine the effectiveness of teaching in each class, the data was analyzed using the independent t-test. The result of the study shows that SETS-based teaching and PBL can enhance the creativity of solving problems of environmental pollution and the SETS-based teaching indicated more effective to improve the creativity of the student if compared with the PBL.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya kontribusi tidak langsung dan kontribusi langsung dari motivasi, penguasaan informasi, dan persepsi mahasiswa pendidikan kimia tentang kurikulum 2013 terhadap kesiapan implementasi pada pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan expost facto. Sampel penelitian ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui angket, penilaian antar teman, serta tes. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis jalur (path analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) motivasi dan penguasaan informasi berkontribusi secara tidak langsung terhadap kesiapan implementasi kurikulum sebesar 20,2%. Kontribusi tidak langsung dari motivasi dan penguasaan informasi mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat pengaruh motivasi dan penguasaan informasi terhadap persepsi. (2) motivasi, penguasaan informasi, dan persepsi mahasiswa pendidikan kimia tentang kurikulum 2013 berkontribusi langsung terhadap kesiapan implementasi kurikulum 13 pada pembelajaran, dengan kontribusi sebesar 54,8%. Hasil ini menggambarkan bahwa kesiapan mahasiswa untuk mengimplementasikan kurikulum 13 dipengaruhi oleh motivasi, penguasaan informasi, dan persepsi mahasiswa tentang kurikulum. CONTRIBUTION OF MOTIVATION, MASTERY OF INFORMATION, AND PERCEPTION OF CHEMISTRY EDUCATION STUDENTS TOWARDS CURRICULUM 2013 IMPLEMENTATION READINESS Abstract This research aims to find out the direct and indirect contribution of motivation, mastery of information, and chemistry education student\u27s perception of curriculum 2013 towards its implementation readiness in learning. This research is classified to expost facto. The sample was established using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected through inventories, peer assessment and test, and than were analyzed using path analysis. The results of the study show as follows. 1) Motivation and mastery of information give indirect contribution towards implementation readiness for about 20,2%. Indirect contribution of motivation and mastery of information indicate there are the effect of motivation and mastery of information towards perception. 2) Motivation, mastery of information, and chemistry education student\u27s perception of curriculum 2013 given direct contribution towards implementation readiness in learning, for about 54,8%. The results show, that the student\u27s readiness to implementation curriculum is affected by motivation, mastery of information, and student\u27s perception of curriculum.     Keefektifan Pendekatan Realistik Ditinjau dari Prestasi Belajar, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah, dan Kepercayaan Diri Matematika

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: keefektifan pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan realistik; dan pembelajaran yang lebih efektif antara pendekatan realistik dengan pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, dan kepercayaan diri matematika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain kelompok kontrol pretes-postes beracak. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu kelompok eksperimen dan satu kelompok kontrol. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Pandeglang. Sampel penelitian sebanyak dua kelas yang dipilih secara acak. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan MANOVA, dan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pendekatan realistik menggunakan uji one sample t-test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: pendekatan realistik efektif terhadap pembelajaran matematika ditinjau dari prestasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri matematika siswa namun tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah; pendekatan realistik lebih efektif dari pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari prestai belajar, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, dan kepercayaan diri matematika siswa. The Effectiveness of Realistic Approach Based on Learning Achievement, Problem Solving Ability, and Mathematical Self Confidence Abstract This study aims to describe: the effectiveness of teaching mathematics using realistic approach; and the more effective teaching between realistic approach and conventional teaching based on studens\u27 learning achievement, problem solving ability, and mathematical self-confidence. This research was a quasi experimental study employing a random pretest-posttest control group design. It involved one experimental group and one control group. The research population comprised nine classes of Year VIII student of SMP Negeri 3 Pandeglang. The sample consisted of two classes that were randomly established. The data were analysed by means of MANOVA, and to test the effectiveness of realistic approach using one sample t-test. The result of the study show that: realistic approach is effective in learning mathematics based on learning achievement and mathematical self confidence of student but not effective based on problem solving ability; realistic approach more effective than conventional learning based on learning achievement, problem solving ability and mathematical self confidence of student.
