    The effect of CBT national examination policy in terms of senior high school students\u27 cognitive readiness and anxiety facing mathematics tests in DIY Province

    The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of CBT and PBT national examination in terms of students\u27 cognitive readiness and anxiety facing mathematics national examination in DIY province, the influence of major in terms of students\u27 cognitive readiness and anxiety facing mathematics national examination in DIY Province, and the interaction between national examination and major. This research was descriptive explorative and the method was ex-post facto. The population was all of natural and social science high school students in grade XII in DIY province. The number of sample used was 654 students The results showed that there was influence of national examination in terms of students\u27 cognitive readiness and anxiety facing national examination. CBT and PBT national examination did not influence the cognitive readiness facing national examination, CBT and PBT national examination influence in national examinations in terms of students\u27 anxiety facing national examination. The average score of the students\u27 anxiety facing CBT national exam was greater than that of the students\u27 anxiety facing PBT national examination. There was no effect caused by differences in majoring in terms of cognitive readiness and national examination math anxiety; and there was no interaction between the different types of national examinations and majors

    PENGEMBANGAN INSTRUMEN DIAGNOSTIK KOGNITIF PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPA DI SMP

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan instrumen diagnostik kognitif pada mata pelajaran IPA materi kalor berdasarkan learning continuum, (2) menemukan karakteristik instrumen diagnostik kognitif pada mata pelajaran IPA materi kalor, berdasarkan learning continuum. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pengembangan tes diagnostik. Penelitian didahului dengan penyusunan learning continum, kisi-kisi tes, hierarki materi prasyarat dan spesifikasi item pada materi IPA konsep kalor yang ditelaah melalui Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Uji coba dilaksanakan dengan subjek uji sebanyak 484 siswa kelas VII SMP di Kabupaten Sleman. Seleksi butir tes untuk mendapatkan fit tes menggunakan program Quest dan Program M Plus untuk uji kecocokan/kesesuaian model atribut dengan matriks Q. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: (1) instrumen yang berhasil dikembangkan berbentuk tes pilihan ganda dengan alasan, berjumlah 28 butir soal dan menghasilkan tujuh Q matrik; (2) analisis dengan program Quest diperoleh butir fit dengan model dan program M Plus menemukan besarnya probabilitas pada setiap latent class pada tujuh Q matriks yang tersusun. Kata kunci: instrumen, diagnostik kognitif, IPA DEVELOPING THE INSTRUMENTS OF COGNITIVE DIAGNOSTIC FOR SCIENCE SUBJECT IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL Abstract The study aimed at: (1) producing cognitive diagnostic instruments for science subjects of heat topic based on learning continuum (2) finding the characteristics of the instrument developed The method used in this research is the development of diagnostic tests. The research was preceded by the preparation of learning continuum, test blueprint , hierarchy of prerequisite materials and test specification on materials of science concept which were examined through Focus Group Discussion (FGD).The test trial was implemented with 484 students of class VII SMP in Sleman as subjects. Selection of test items to get fit tests used Quest program and M Plus program to test the suitability/fitness model with the attribute matrix Q. The results show: (1) the instruments developed in the form of a multiple choice test with reason, totaling 28 items and seven Q matrix; (2) analysis using Quest program finds item fit with the model ,and program M Plus find the probability in each latent class on seven Q matrix composed.     Validitas konstrak instrumen evaluasi outcome lembaga pendidikan guru vokasional

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan bukti validitas konstrak dari instrumen yang digunakan untuk kegiatan evaluasi outcome dari lembaga pendidikan guru vokasional. Instrumen ini terdiri atas 3 jenis instrumen. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Kriteria yang digunakan untuk melihat kecocokan model adalah: p-value, normed Chi-square (X2/df), RMSEA (Root Mean Square Error of Approximation), RMR (Root Mean-square Residual), GFI (Goodness-of-Fit Index), NFI (Normed Fit Index), Non-Normed Fit Index (NNFI), dan CFI (Comparative Fit Index). Bukti validitas instrumen dapat dilihat pada besarnya faktor loading dan t-value. Jika loading factor lebih besar dari 0,3 dengan t-valuelebih besar dari 1,96 maka butir pernyataan dapat dikategorikan valid. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh hasil: (1) pada instrumen I terdapat 26 butir yang dinyatakan valid; (2) pada instrumen II terdapat 23 butir yang dinyatakan valid; dan (3) pada instrumen III terdapat 18 butir yang dinyatakan valid. Kata kunci: validitas konstrak, evaluasi, lembaga pendidikan guru vokasional CONSTRUCT VALIDITY OF OUTCOME EVALUATION INSTRUMENT IN VOCATIONAL TEACHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION Abstract This research aims to get the construct validity evidence of the outcome evaluation instrument of vocational teacher education institution. The instrument consists of 3 kinds of instruments. The analysis technique that is used to test the construct validity is confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The criteria used to determine the goodness of fit were: p-value, normed Chi-square (X2/df), RMSEA (Root Mean Square Error of Approximation), RMR (Root Mean-square Residual), GFI (Goodness-of-Fit Index), NFI (Normed Fit Index), Non-Normed Fit Index (NNFI), and CFI (Comparative Fit Index). The evidence of the construct validity was based on the standardized loading factor and t-value. If the loading factor \u3e 0.3 with t-value \u3e 1.96, the item is valid. Based on the analysis, the research results are: (1) 26 item of the instrument I are categorized valid; (2) 23 items of instrument II are categorized valid; and (3) 18 items of instrument III are categorized valid.     The research was an explorative research deploying interview and questionnaire as collecting data methods. Collected data was analyzed descriptive qualitatively. The research found that (1) although respondents have different conceptions of good citizens, they have shared view on main features of good citizen, namely caring others, responsibility, independence, democratic, critical, and simple life; (2) almost all of them have chosen lecturing as instructional method to develop good citizen; (3) they have found both internal and external obstacles in dealing with their efforts, such as teachers themselves and students and the lack of infrastructures of schools; and (4) many efforts were deployed, one of them was of seduction their colleagues to work professionally. They believed that it was not thought but caught by which a good citizen could be developed. They were ready to be examples

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pengaruh model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 2 Magelang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest. Analisis data menggunakan uji t. Hasil perhitungan perbedaan rata-rata posttest pada kedua kelompok untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis menunjukkan nilai hitung sebesar 2,45 dan ttabel dengan signifikasi 0,05% dengan dk 62 = 2,00 sedangkan untuk kemampuan berpikir kreatif menunjukkan nilai hitung sebesar 3,43 dan ttabel dengan signifikansi 0,05% dengan dk 62 = 2,00. Hasil perhitungan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa thitung \u3e ttabel. Hal ini berarti hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan terdapat pengaruh model Pembelajaran Berdasarkan Masalah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada konsep pencemaran lingkungan. Kata Kunci: penggunaan model pembelajaran berdasarkan masalah, kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. The Effect of the Problem-Based Teaching Model on the Critical Thinking Skills and Creative Thinking Skills of the Students of SMA Abstract This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of problem-based teaching model on the critical thinking skills and effect of the use of problem-based teaching model on the creative thinking skills of students on environmental pollution materials. The research was conducted at SMAN 2 Magelang. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest. The data analysis used the t test. The result of the calculation of the posttest average of the difference between the two groups for critical thinking skills shows the calculated value of 2.45 and ttable with the significance level of 0.05% with 62 df = 2.00, while for the ability to think creatively the calculated value of 3.43 shows the ttable with the significance level of 0.05% with 62 df = 2.00. This shows that t \u3e ttable. This means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Thus, there is an effect of the use of problem-based teaching model on the critical and creative thinking skills of the students on the concept of environmental pollution.     Pengaruh Pendekatan Brain-Based Learning terhadap Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis dan Self-Efficacy Siswa SMA

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Brain-Based Learning (BBL) terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis (KKMAT) dan self-efficacy siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu menggunakan desain grup kontrol tidak secara acak dengan pemberian tes awal dan tes akhir. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Jetis Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta pada semester kedua tahun ajaran 2012/2013 yang terdiri atas tiga kelas. Dua kelas dipilih sebagai sampel penelitian, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes KKMAT dan skala self-efficacy. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan uji multivariat (MANOVA). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan BBL berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan self-efficacy siswa. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Brain-Based Learning, kemampuan komunikasi matematis, self-efficacy The Effect of Brain-Based Learning Approach toward the Mathematical Communication Ability and Self-Efficacy of Senior High School Students Abstract This study aimed to describe the effect of the instruction using Brain-Based Learning Approach (BBLA) toward students\u27 mathematical communication ability (MCA) and self-efficacy. This study adopted a pretest-posttest nonrandomized control group design in a quasi-experimental setting. The population comprised all students grade XI IPA of SMA Negeri 1 Jetis D. I. Yogyakarta in the second semester of the academic year 2012/2013 consisting of three classes. Two classes were selected as the research sample, namely experimental class and control class. The instruments of the study were a test of MCA and scale of self-efficacy. The data were analized using the one sample t test and MANOVA test. The findings of the study show that the instruction using BBLA has an effect on students\u27 mathematical communication ability and self-efficacy.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan membandingkan kemampuan representasi dan komunikasi matematis ditinjau dari prestasi belajar dan gaya kognitif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain ex post facto. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji multivariat Hotelling\u27s Trace (T2) dan uji univariat t-Bonferroni. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat interaksi prestasi belajar dan gaya kognitif yang membedakan representasi dan komunikasi matematis. Peserta didik field independent lebih baik dalam kemampuan representasi dan komunikasi matematis dibandingkan peserta didik field dependent, dan tingkat prestasi belajar membedakan kemampuan representasi dan komunikasi matematis.     Perangkat pembelajaran matematika bercirikan PBL untuk mengembangkan HOTS siswa SMA

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika bercirikan problem-based learning (PBL) yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk mengembangkan higher order thinking skills (HOTS) siswa SMA kelas X semester 2 berupa: rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) dan lembar kegiatan siswa (LKS) yang dilengkapi instrumen tes hasil belajar. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D dari Thiagarajan dengan empat tahapan, yaitu: pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Uji coba dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu: uji coba ahli, uji coba terbatas, dan uji coba lapangan. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa yang dipilih dari dua sekolah. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri atas lembar validasi, penilaian guru, penilaian siswa, dan instrumen tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi aspek validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan.(1) Hasil validitas menunjukkan bahwa RPP dan LKS yang dikembangkan pada kategori valid dengan indeks Aiken pada RPP sebesar 0,69 dan LKS sebesar 0,70. (2) Hasil uji coba terbatas menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan pada kategori praktis. (3) Hasil uji coba lapangan menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran efektif ditinjau dari HOTS siswa dengan persentase ketuntasan secara klasikal subjek uji coba lebih dari 75%. Kata Kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran matematika, problem-based learning, higher order thinking skills Mathematics teaching kits based on PBL to develop hots of senior high school students Abstract This research is aimed at developing mathematics teaching kit based on problem-based learning which is valid, practical, and effective to develop the higher order thinking of grade X students senior high school in their second semester, which consists of lesson plan and students\u27 worksheet with test instrument. The research development used the model adapted from 4-D model developed by Thiagarajan with employing steps: defining, planning, developing, and disseminating. The tryout is conducted three steps: expert validation, limited tryout, and field tryout. The tryout subjects were teachers and students from two schools. The instruments used in this research were validation sheet, teacher\u27s assessment sheet, student\u27s assessment sheet, and test. The result of the research shows that the developed mathematics teaching kitbased on problem-based learning has met the aspect of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. (1) The result of validation shows that the lesson plan and the students\u27 worksheet are chategorized as valid with the Aiken analysis showing the index for the lesson plan has achieved 0.69 and the 0.70 for the students\u27 worksheet. (2) teh result of limited tryout shows that the developed of mathematics teaching kit is practical. (3) the result of field tryout shows that the developed of mathematics teaching is effective interm students\u27s HOTS with percentage of clasisical mastery subjects reached 75%.     Pengaruh metode latihan dan koordinasi terhadap smash backcourt atlet bola voli yunior putra

    Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui: (1) pengaruh antara metode latihan sederhana dan metode latihan kompleks terhadap smash backcourt, (2) pengaruh antara koordinasi tinggi dan koordinasi rendah terhadap smash backcourt, dan (3) interaksi antara metode latihan dan koordinasi terhadap hasil smash backcourt. Metode penelitian eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2 x 2. Populasi penelitian adalah atlet Klub Bola Voli yunior putra Yuso Sleman dan atlet Klub bola voli yunior putra Yuso Gunadarma. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes koordinasi mata-tangan dan test smash Laveage. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah ANAVA. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) ada perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan antara metode latihan sederhana dan metode latihan kompleks terhadap hasil smash backcourt, (2) ada perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan antara atlet yang mempunyai koordinasi tinggi dan koordinasi rendah terhadap hasil smash backcourt, dan (3) terdapat interaksi antara metode latihan dan koordinasi terhadap smash backcourt. The effect of exercise method and coordination on the smash backcout of junior athletes Abstract This study aimed to determine: (1) the effect between simple exercise and complex exercise method on the smash backcourt, (2) the effect between the high coordination and low coordination on the smash backcourt, and (3) the interaction between exercise method and coordination on the smash backcourt. The research is experimental with 2 x 2 factorial design. The population of the research was Volleyball Club Yuso Junior Sleman and Volleyball Club Yuso Junior Gunadarma. The samples were taken with purposive sampling technique. The data were collected through eye-hand coordination test and smash Laveage test modification. The data analysis technique used is the variant analysis (ANOVA). The results of this study indicate that: (1) there is a significant difference between simple exercise method and complex exercise method, (2) there is a significant difference between athletes with high coordination and low coordination, and (3) there is an interaction between exercise method and coordination against smash backcourt.     Pengembangan pembelajaran teknik dasar bulu tangkis berbasis multimedia pada atlet usia 11 dan 12 tahun

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran teknik dasar bulu tangkis berbasis multimedia. Penelitian pengembangan ini dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: (1) tahap studi pendahuluan, (2) validasi ahli, (3) uji coba lapangan, dan (4) pembuatan produk akhir. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen: (1) validasi produk awal, (2) angket observasi untuk pelatih dan ahli materi, dan (3) lembar observasi respons atlet. Penelitian ini menghasilkan media untuk pembelajaran teknik dasar bulu tangkis berbasis multimedia yang dikemas dalam CD dan disertakan buku petunjuk penggunaan. Teknik dasar bulu tangkis tersebut, yaitu: (1) bentuk-bentuk pegangan raket, (2) macam-macam servis, (3) macam-macam pukulan dari atas, dan (4) macam-macam pukulan dari bawah. The research and development was conducted by the following steps: (1) the introduction study phase, (2) validation of experts, (3) testing product, and, (4) creating the final product. Instruments for collecting the data were: (1) the first product validation, (2) the questionnaire observation for coach and expert, and (3) observation sheet response for athletes. This research produced a media for learning the basic technique of badminton based on multimedia that was packaged in a CD and user\u27s guide included. The basic techniques are: (1) the forms of racket grip, (2) services, (3) a variety of overhead stroke, and (4) a variety of underhand stroke.
