    No full text
The purpose of the study is to compile concepts related to computational thinking skills in the context of computer programming subject. The research design used is data theorization (grounded theory) with open coding and axial coding data analysis techniques. Three types of data collection protocols are used: interview protocols, observation protocols, and recording protocols. The characteristics informants used are students who have experience learning computer programming in the vocational high school. The research produced several concepts, namely the problem concept, which then gave rise to the computational thinking skills concept. The problem concept consists of three sub-concepts: the common problem sub-concept, the medium problem sub-concept, and the high problem sub-concept. The concept of computational thinking skills is a set of skills required in the problem-solving process in computer programming. Computational thinking is not just a thought process but an expression of skills that others can observe. In the computer programming subject context, two concepts influence the process of mastering computational thinking skills: the guidance strategies concept and the information sources concept. The concept of success becomes a mediator in developing computational thinking skills. The theory produced in this study can be used as a basis for conducting research with quantitative designs related to deductive proof of the theory

    No full text
The large number of graduates who lack the skills needed for the workplace makes it difficult for them to find employment. This study aims to analyze the influence of teachers, technology, and social capital in preparing vocational school graduates for their first jobs. Participants came from five districts in Yogyakarta, including state and private VHS with engineering expertise, including 25 teachers and 99 students. The research steps involve conducting literature reviews, focus group discussions, and data collection via questionnaires. The results show that: (1) the stability of choosing a career that is in line with their education for graduates who study further is better than graduates who work or are entrepreneurs; (2) the measurement model showed valid and reliable results: outer loading (0.702 -0.967), AVE ≥ 0.5, Cronbach\u27s alpha ≥ 0.7, Fornell-Larcker criterion, and HTMT ratio. The structural model using the SRMR is 0.078 (good fit); (3) With p-value 0.000 (sig \u3c 0.05), there is direct significant influence between TCR -\u3e TGR (f2 0.897), TCR -\u3e SCR (f2 0.638) with large effect, and TCR -\u3e STWT (f2 0.310), TGR -\u3e STWT (f2 0.189), SCR -\u3e STWT (f2 0.267) with medium effect and the indirect influence (TCR -\u3e STWT), which is mediated by TGR and SCR. The role of the teacher (TCR) has a significant impact on optimizing the role of technology (TGR) and social capital (SCR) in the STWT effectivity. The role of teachers, technology, and social capital all have significant and medium effects on the STWT smoothness. This is in line with the concept of Industry 5.0, specifically integration. Education in the Industry 5.0 era is dependent not just on the contributors\u27 roles but also on integration

    No full text
The success of information cannot be separated from the use of online media; Website is one of the online media that is widely used by organizations to provide information quickly. Unfortunately, there are currently not many websites that directly provide information and can analyze and monitor users. This study aims to develop a physical test and measurement website to provide information and results of biological monitoring of athletes directly. This research uses a method of ten stages of research and development (R and D). The result of this study is that more than 90% of users rated website design, validity, ease of access, and functionality as accessible and excellent. Analyzing test results and measurements also positively impacts satisfaction using the test and measurement website developed by Surabaya State University. This study concludes that although improvements need to be made to this website, but overall this physical test and measurement website facilitates the assessment of test results and physical measurements, which can be seen directly by coaches: athletes, managers, to parents who are given access. Coaches, athletes, and parent organizations must be able to adapt to the use of technology, such as the Web, to support long-term athlete development processes and performance. Following the needs of athletes, identifying athlete achievements from test results and measurements will be easier because test and measurement norms can also be adjusted to the history of test results and measurements
