    Pembelajaran keliling lingkaran menggunakan konteks gelas

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran konteks gelas dalam mendukung pembelajaran konsep keliling lingkaran dan mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran matematika menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Surya Bangsa, Tangerang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII.A Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016 semester II dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 13 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas Lembar Aktivitas Peserta Didik (LAPD), Soal Evaluasi, Lembar Observasi Guru, Panduan Wawancara dan Angket Respon Peserta Didik. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini meliputi rekaman video, pengisian dokumen penelitian, observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model Miles & Huberman (1994) yang terdiri atas reduksi data, penyajian data, penyimpulan dan verifikasi. Pembelajaran dalam penelitian ini menggunakan konteks gelas berdasarkan karakteristik pendekatan RME. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konteks gelas berperan penting dalam mendukung pembelajaran konsep keliling lingkaran. Selain itu, peserta didik memiliki respon yang positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika yang diberikan menggunakan pendekatan RME. Learning Circumference using the Context of Glass Abstract This research aims to find out the role of glass as a context in supporting the concepts of the circumference of the circle and to know the response of learners in learning mathematics using Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. This research conducted at Surya Bangsa Junior High School, Tangerang. The subjects of this study are students of class VIII.A in the academic year 2015/2016 semester II with the number of learners as many as 13 people. The research instruments used in this study consist of Student Activity Sheet (SAS), Evaluation Test, Observation Sheet, Interview Guide, and Questionnaire. Data collection techniques in this study include video recording, completion of research documents, observation, and interviews. Data analysis technique using Miles & Huberman (1994) model consisting of reduction data, presenting data, conclusion and verification. The learning in this study uses the context of glass based on the characteristics of the RME approach. The results of this study indicate that the context of glass plays a significant role in supporting learning the concept of the circumference of the circle. Also, learners have a positive response in learning mathematics provided using the RME approach

    Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kearifan konselor menurut perspektif calon konselor etnis Jawa

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kearifan konselor menurut perspektif calon konselor etnis Jawa. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif jenis survey. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 270 calon konselor etnis Jawa semester enam dari 11 Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling di Indonesia. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yaitu Skala Anteseden Kearifan Konselor yang berbentuk skala lima jenjang. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis faktor eksploratoris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat enam faktor yang mempengaruhi kearifan konselor menurut perspektif calon konselor etnis Jawa. Faktor-faktor yang dimaksud dinamakan: (1) kepribadian dan kecerdasan, (2) pengalaman, (3) atribut pribadi, agama, dan spiritual; (4) keterampilan metakognitif (berpikir kritis dan mendalam); (5) konteks fasilitatif; dan (6) kepakaran (profesionalitas). THE FACTORS AFFECTING A COUNSELOR\u27S WISDOM IN THE PERSPECTIVES OF JAVANESE PRE-SERVICE COUNSELORS Abstract The purpose of this research is to explore the factors affecting a counselor\u27s wisdom in the perspectives of Javanese pre-service counselors. The research adopted a descriptive method of survey. The sample included 270 of the sixth semester of Javanese pre-service counselors from 11 Guidance and Counseling Study Program in Indonesia. Data were collected using questionnaire, which is Counselor Wisdom Antecedents Scale, in the form of five-level scale. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and exploratory factor analysis. The findings show that there are six factors affecting a counselor\u27s wisdom in the perspectives of Javanese pre-service counselors. The six factors named: (1) personality and intelligence, (2) experience, (3) personal attributes, religiosity, and spirituality, (4) metacognitive skills (critical and in-depth thinking skills), (5) context-facilitative, and (6) expertise (professionality)

    An emotion assessment model for Elementary School students

    This study aims to produce an emotion assessment model for elementary school students, identify the characteristics of the quality of the emotion assessment instrument, and obtain information about the results of emotion assessment. The study employed the design and development (D&D) approach. The study was conducted at 9 elementary schools. The data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The data analysis techniques were Cohen\u27s Kappa Inter-Rater analysis and Goodness of Fit analysis using Mokken Scalability Analysis. The results of the study show that the emotion assessment model for students consists of six aspects of emotion, i.e.: fear, anger, sadness, boredom, joy, and curiosity. The model consists of 16 indicators and 60 observed items. The emotion assessment model consists of instrument grids, a user\u27s guide, a scoring rubric, and a guide for result interpretation. The emotion assessment model is valid and reliable based on the in inter-rater testing through Cohen\u27s Kappa statistics with an average Kappa coefficient of 0.82 (almost perfect). The results of emotion assessment by teachers are: the fear of elementary school students ranging from high, medium and low category. The anger of students ranges from high, medium and low. The sadness of students ranges from moderate to low category. Boredom of students ranges from medium to low category. The joy of the students is in the high category. The curiosity of students ranges from high and medium category

    Pemahaman Konseptual Matematis (PKM) memiliki peran penting karena dengan kemampuan ini siswa mudah dalam membangun hubungan untuk memahamai ide dan konsep baru. Kemampuan PKM ini dapat ditumbuh-kembangkan melalui pembelajaran di kelas. Untuk mencapai kecakapan tersebut, pembelajaran perlu memperhatikan keberagaman siswa karena pembelajaran yang mengakomodasi keberagaman menjadi lebih efektif, efesien, dan menarik. Keberagam tersebut dapat berupa Gender (G), Kemampuan Awal Matematika (KAM) dan Gaya Belajar Matematis (GBM) siswa. Salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang mengakomodir keberagaman ialah pembelajaran pendekatan Rigorous Mathematical Thinking (RMT). Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kemampuan PKM siswa SMP yang memperoleh pembelajaran pendekatan RMT ditinjau dari : a). Gender, b). KAM siswa, dan c). GBM siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen pada siswa SMP di salah satu sekolah di Bandung. Salah satu hasil yang penting adalah dengan pembelajaran ini menjadikan siswa dengan KAM sedang dan rendah dapat mencapai kemampuan yang baik. The Effect of Rigorous Mathematical Thinking (RMT) Learning Approach On Students\u27 Understanding of Mathematical Concepts Abstract An understanding of mathematical concepts (PKM) has an important role because with this ability students are easy in building relationships to understand new ideas and concepts. The ability of PKM can be grown-developed through learning in the classroom. To achieve these skills, learning needs to pay attention to the diversity of students because learning that accommodates diversity becomes more effective, efficient, and engaging. Such diversity can be Gender (G), An initial mathematical ability (KAM) and students\u27 mathematics learning styles (GBM). One approach to learning that accommodates diversity is the Rigorous Mathematical Thinking (RMT) learning approach. This article aims to examine the ability of junior high school students who have learned RMT approach in terms of: a). Gender, b). students\u27 KAM, and c). students\u27 GBM. This research is an experimental research on junior high school students in one school in Bandung. One important result is that this learning engages students with medium and low of KAM able to achieve good abilities

    The effect of silent short movie on EFL writing achievement of Vocational High School students

    The purpose of the study was to investigate whether or not there is a significant effect of silent short movie on EFL writing achievement of the vocational high school students. This study was quasi-experimental using a nonrandomized control group, pretest-posttest design. There were 61 students who were selected randomly from the 10 classes of tenth-graders of the 6th State Vocational School in Samarinda. The instruments used in the study was writing test. The result revealed that the vocational high school tenth grade students who were taught by silent short movie (M = 8.01, SD = .32) got significantly different achievement in EFL writing than did the vocational high school tenth grade students who were not taught by silent short, t(58) = -2.22, p = .030. This result suggests that the writing aspects which the students significantly outperformed were text organization, sentence formation, grammar, vocabulary, mechanics, and tidiness

    The accuracy aspects of publications of the Directorate of Vocational High School Development in promoting the existence of the secondary vocational education through mass media

    This study is an evaluation research aimed at examining the accuracy of substances, media, and publication schedules on the publications conducted by the Directorate of Vocational High School Development. The purposes of this study are: (1) to get information about the strength and weakness of the publication contexts which has become the basis of deciding the substances, media and publication schedule through mass media in order to get the publication effective and efficient to reach every level of society; (2) to get detail information about the accuracy of the using of substances, media and audiences\u27 habits in the implementation phase of the publication programs of the Directorate of Vocational High School Development through mass media. This research involved vocational high school communities as the samples, including the students, teachers and parents based on the stratified-cluster sampling technique. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used was the descriptive statistic technique. In general, the result of this research shows that the substances of the publication are appropriate to public\u27s expectation, while the use of mass media and its publication schedule are not yet fully appropriate to achieve accuracy

    Development and validity of mathematical learning assessment instruments based on multiple intelligence

    This study was aimed to develop and produce an assessment instrument of mathematical learning results based on multiple intelligence. The methods in this study used Borg & Gall-Research and Development approach (Research & Development). The subject of research was 289 students. The results of research: (1) Result of Aiken Analysis showed 58 valid items were between 0,714 to 0,952. (2) Result of the Exploratory on factor analysis indicated the instrument consist of three factors i.e. mathematical logical intelligence-spatial intelligence-and linguistic intelligence. KMO value was 0.661 df 0.780 sig. 0.000 with valid category. This research succeeded to developing the assessment instrument of mathematical learning results based on multiple intelligence of second grade in elementary school with characteristics of logical intelligence of mathematics, spatial intelligence, and linguistic intelligence
