Implementasi pendidikan jasmani dalam international primary curriculum
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui keterkaitan dan implementasi pendidikan jasmani dalam International Primary Curriculum (IPC) sebagai salah satu kurikulum internasional. IPC adalah kurikulum yang komprehensif, tematik, dinamis dan berwawasan global. Pelaksanaan kurikulum terstruktur dan terencana memungkinkan siswa untuk beradaptasi dengan tantangan global di masa mendatang. Metode penelitian adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian, pelaksanaan pendidikan jasmani di IPC telah ditentukan oleh sekolah melalui data dengan pemutakhiran terbaru. Tema yang dipilih kemudian disesuaikan dengan tujuan sekolah, budaya lokal, kebutuhan siswa. Kesimpulannya adalah IPC sangat dinamis sehingga dapat diselaraskan untuk mencapai tujuan sekolah yang ingin dicapai dengan menyesuaikan budaya budaya lokal, kondisi siswa dan sekolah.
Abstract
The purpose of this research is determine relationship and implementation of physical education in International Primary Curriculum (IPC) as an international curriculum. IPC is comprehensive, thematic, dynamic and global-minded curriculum. The implementation of a structured and planned curriculum allows students to adapt to global challenges in the future. The research method is descriptive qualitative research. As a result, implementation of physical education in IPC has been determined by school through the latest update data. The choosen theme is then adjusted to school goals, local culture, student needs. The conclusion is that IPC is very dynamic so that it can be harmonized to achieve the school goals by adjusting the culture of the local culture, conditions of students and schools
System requirement analysis for e-learning materials to support academic writing skills for engineering students of vocational higher education
This paper outlines a system requirement of proposed e-learning design for English course particularly in academic writing. However, the system requirement is focused on functional requirement. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out an intensive interaction involving systems analysts and end-users to obtain the appropriate learning materials needed by the engineering students. The instrument of this research is interview and questionnaire. The former was elaborated by the English teachers, while the latter was collected from engineering students at Politeknik Kota Malang. The data collection is analyzed using Kano\u27s method. The research findings indicates that the functional requirement consists of 3 parts: 1) academic writing, 2) quizzes, and 3) writing template. The academic writing is focused on how to write abstract. Meanwhile, the quizzes cover grammar, paraphrasing, and abstract organization. Development of microprocessor learning media using zilog z-80 for vocational school students of electronic engineering expert program
This development research aims to develop microprocessor learning media using Zilog Z80. The Learning Media quality is based on the following aspects: (1) media feasibility according to subject matter experts and media experts; (2) effective based on students ability test by pre test and post-test. The developed cycles and procedures refer to the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). This development research produces learning media as microprocessor kits training and e-Learning namely µProsessor as learning support. Data analysis techniques to test the effectiveness of learning media using Paired Samples T-Test and Using a Likert scale to test the feasibility of learning media. The research results show that the feasibility of learning media is enough with a high score of above 88% and Paired Samples Test results for media effectiveness show an increase in the value of significant microprocessor capabilities. Measuring the improvement of the ability of students\u27 microprocessors using N-gain (normalized gain). The results of the calculation of N-gain in the large group is 0.72 in the high category. Interpretation of the results of the research can be concluded that effective learning media as a learning media for microprocessors
Tourism vocational high school students\u27 and teachers\u27 perception of foreign languages in communicative competencies and the 21st century skills in Yogyakarta
This study investigated how is the perception of high school of vocational in tourism program study students in communicating foreign language and revealed the competence in twenty-first century skills. There are about 125 respondents who participated out from 150 survey spread on the vocational high schools that held tourism program study in Yogyakarta involving the teachers and students. The data were collected through comprehensive questionnaire. The results shown that the subjects had following in common and compared result to the teachers shown that perceptual matches and mismatches between the two groups. Through One-Way ANOVA test (P\u3c0.05), there found 7 items in communicative competence that significantly difference in students perception and 18 items on 21st century skills. Meanwhile, the perception between students and teachers, there found 9 items that significantly difference
Analisis kemampuan menyelesaikan soal HOTS model TIMSS dan kepercayaan diri siswa sekolah menengah pertama
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kemampuan siswa SMP di Kabupaten Wonosobo dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS model TIMSS dan mendeskripsikan kepercayaan diri siswa SMP di Kabupaten Wonosobo. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian survei. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP di Kabupaten Wonosobo pada tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode stratified proportional random sampling dan diperoleh 99 siswa sebagai sampel yang terbagi dalam 4 sekolah, yaitu 1 sekolah kategori tinggi, 2 sekolah kategori sedang, dan 1 sekolah kategori rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal HOTS model TIMSS siswa SMP Kabupaten Wonosobo dalam kategori sedang (85,9%). Selanjutnya dilihat untuk masing-masing indikator dari soal HOTS model TIMSS, indikator memadukan/ mensintesis, menganalisis, memberikan alasan, dan menyelesaikan masalah non-rutin berada pada kategori sedang, hanya terdapat 1 indikator yang berada pada kategori rendah yaitu menggeneralisasi. Sedangkan untuk kepercayaan diri siswa SMP di Kabupaten Wonosobo berada pada kategori sedang (56,6%). Bila dilihat untuk masing-masing aspek, bahwa aspek keyakinan akan kemampuan diri, optimis, objektif, dan bertanggung jawab berada pada kategori sedang, untuk aspek rasional dan realistis berada pada kategori rendah
An analysis of junior high school students\u27ability in solving HOTS model TIMSS and self-confidence
Abstract
The purpose of this study were to analyze the ability of junior high school students in Wonosobo to solve the HOTS model TIMSS problem and to describe the self-confidence of junior high school students in Wonosobo. This study was a survey. The population was all 8th grade of Wonosobo Junior High School in the academic year 2016/2017. Sampling used was stratified proportional random sampling method. The samples consisted of 99 students from 4 representative schools, namely 1 school for high category, 2 schools for medium cateogry, and 1school for low category. The results showed that the ability to solve the HOTS model TIMSS problem of junior high school students in Wonosobo was in the medium category (85.9%). Furthermore, for each indicator of HOTS model TIMSS problem, found that indicators integrate/ synthesize, analyze, justify, and solve non-routine problems were in medium category, there was only 1 indicator that in low category that is generalization. As for self-confidence of junior high school students in Wonosobo was in medium category (56.6%). When viewed from each aspects, aspect of belief in self-ability, optimist, objective, and responsible were in medium category, aspect of rational and realisticis was in low category
Guided discovery model: An alternative to enhance students\u27 critical thinking skills and critical thinking dispositions
This current study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the guided discovery model in increasing students\u27 critical thinking skills and critical thinking dispositions. Each experiment and control group consisted of 34 students of grade X of one high school class in Bandar Lampung city. The data were obtained through mathematical critical thinking skills test and critical thinking dispositions scale. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively to obtain a comprehensive description of the impact of learning on the increase in both skills. The results showed that the increase of students\u27 critical thinking skills and critical thinking dispositions after learning was in the effective category. Other finding showed that the use of a contextual problem in the beginning of learning could trigger students to activate their prior knowledge. In this way, students used some strategies and made an appropriate conclusion confidently. This study suggested that the guided discovery model can be an alternative to improve students\u27 critical thinking skills and critical thinking dispositions
Etnomatematika pada sumur purbakala Desa Kaliwadas Cirebon dan kaitannya dengan pembelajaran matematika di sekolah
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kontribusi aspek-aspek matematika pada sumur purbakala, sejarahnya, proses berpikir matematis dalam pembuatan sumur, dan proses pembelajaran matematika di sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini disajikan dalam bentuk kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan tentang sejarah sumur purbakala. Bentuk bangunan sumur menggambarkan sebuah bangun datar seperti segitiga, segilima, persegi panjang, jajar genjang, trapesium, lingkaran, dan bangun ruang seperti balok dan tabung, yang merupakan aspek-aspek matematika pada materi geometri. Proses pembuatan sumur yang berbentuk lingkaran dapat dilakukan dengan segi-n yang didekati oleh limit n menuju tak hingga yang dilihat dari banyaknya batu bata pada susunan pertama dan banyaknya susunan pada pembuatan sumur. Hasil penelitian ini juga berkaitan dengan proses pembelajaran matematika di sekolah, seperti materi segitiga dan segiempat di SMP serta aturan sinus dan cosinus di SMA. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan bahan ajar pada jenjang sekolah menengah ataupun referensi untuk penelitian lain di bidang budaya dan matematika.
Ethnomathematics at the sumur purbakala Kaliwadas Village of Cirebon and relationship with mathematics learning in school
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know the mathematical aspects of sumur purbakala, its history, the process of mathematical thinking in the making of well, and the process of learning mathematics in school. The results of this research are presented in qualitative form to describe the history of the sumur purbakala. The shape of the building is constructed like a triangle, a pentagon, a rectangle, a parallelogram, a trapezoid, a circle, and a space-building like beams and tubes, which are the mathematical aspects of the material geometry. The process of making a well in the form of a circle can be done with the n-segments approximated by the boundary n to the not until seen from the number of bricks in the first order and the number of arrangements on the well-making. The results of this study are also related to the process of learning mathematics in schools, such as triangle and quadrilateral materials in junior high and the rules of sinus and cosine in high school. It is expected that the results of this study can be used as teaching materials at the level of the school and references to other research in the field of culture and mathematics
Problem solving skill of students of senior high schools and Islamic high schools in Tegal Regency in solving the problem of PISA based on Polya\u27s stage
This study aimed to describe the students\u27 problem solving skill of senior high school and islamic high school in Tegal Regency in solving the problem of PISA based on Polya\u27s stage. The type of this study was a survey research with quantitative approach. The population was the students of senior high schools and islamic high schools in Tegal Regency. A sample of 389 students of grade X from 12 schools was estabilished using the stratified random sampling technique and cluster random sampling. The data were collected by using a test utilizing 12 PISA test items (reliability was 0.668). The Description of the data were analyzed using mean score, standard deviation, maximum and minimum score, and the percentage of correct answer. The results showed that the problem solving skill of senior high school and islamic high school students in Tegal Regency in solving the problem of PISA based on Polya\u27s stage was categorized as low. The indicators of the devising plan and looking back showed that the skill was in a very low category. Viewed from the indicator of carrying out a plan, their skill was in a medium category
Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran contextual guded inquiry untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar matematika
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika SMP dengan pendekatan contextual guided inquiry pada materi bangun ruang untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa, yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Produk yang dikembangkan berupa RPP yang memuat langkah-langkah pendekatan contextual guided inquiry dan LKS yang memuat materi kontekstual dan langkah-langkah penemuan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang mengadaptasi model pengembangan Dick & Carey. Model pengembangan Dick & Carey dimodifikasi sehingga menghasilkan 5 tahap pengembangan yaitu analisis kebutuhan dan perumusan tujuan; desain/pengembangan produk; uji coba produk; revisi produk serta produk akhir. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 73 siswa kelas IX SMP IT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini antara lain lembar validasi RPP dan LKS, lembar penilaian guru dan lembar tanggapan siswa, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajran, tes prestasi belajar serta angket motivasi siswa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengkonversi total skor aktual yang diperoleh menjadi data kualitatif skala lima. Dari hasil validasi ahli, skor penilaian guru, tanggapan siswa, observasi pembelajaran, angket motivasi dan tes prestasi belajar menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran adalah valid, praktis, dan efektif. Dengan demikian, secara keseluruhan penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan ditinjau dari aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan.
Developing Instructional Kits by Using the Contextual Guided Inquiry Approach to Increase Motivation and Learning Achievement of Mathematics
Abstract
This research aimed to produce mathematics instructional kits of junior high school by using contextual guided inquiry (CGI) on the topic of space building which is valid, practical and effective for increasing the motivation and mathematics learning achievement. The developed products are lesson plan which contained with the steps of CGI approach and worksheet which contained the material developed and measures contextual discovery. This study was research and development adapted from Dick and Carey development methodology. The modified of this model resulted 5 stages of development steps, i.e. the needed analysis and the formulation of the goals; design/development of the product;test of the product; revision of the product as well as the final product. The subjects of this study are 73 grade 9 students of Abu Bakar Islamic private junior high school Yogyakarta. The instrument used in this research include validation sheet, teacher and students response sheets, observation sheet, achievement test and motivation questionnaire. The data analysis was done by converting the actual score into qualitative data with standard scale of five. Based on the results of validation experts, teacher\u27s appraisal, students\u27 response, learning observation, motivation questionnaires and achievement test the developed products are valid, practical and effective. In general, this study has shown that the developed products are reliable to be used as they fulfill the valid, practical and effectiveness aspects
