Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran geometri berbasis kecerdasan majemuk siswa SMP kelas VIII
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan dan mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan dan kualitas perangkat pembelajaran geometri berbasis konsep kecerdasan majemuk dari Howard Gardner. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengadopsi model pengembangan Plomp terdiri dari tahapan penelitian awal, pengembangan, dan evaluasi. Perangkat pembelajaran geometri yang dikembangkan meliputi rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, buku, dan lembar kerja siswa untuk materi Geometri Kelas VIII Semester 2 berbasis kecerdasan majemuk. Kualitas hasil pengembangan ditinjau dari tiga aspek yaitu kevalidan, keefektifan, dan kepraktisan. Berdasarkan penilaian kualitas kevalidan, diperoleh bahwa perangkat mendapatkan kriteria sangat baik. Hal ini terjadi karena perangkat yang dikembangkan sesuai dengan indikator pembelajaran dan prinsip pembelajaran berbasis kecerdasan majemuk. Aspek keefektifan didasarkan pada pencapaian prestasi belajar siswa dan self-esteem. Keefektifan produk berdasarkan prestasi belajar diperoleh dari persentase banyaknya siswa yang mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) sebesar 75, dimana diketahui terdapat 82,05% siswa mencapai KKM. Keefektifan juga ditinjau dari self-esteem siswa, dimana setelah pembelajaran self-esteem siswa berada pada level tinggi. Sementara itu, respon siswa dan guru terhadap kepraktisan penggunaan perangkat masing-masing adalah sebesar 4,175 (diklasifikasikan praktis) dan 4,625 (diklasifikasikan sangat praktis). Berdasarkan hasil observasi terhadap pembelajaran diketahui bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran adalah sebesar 96,82% (di kelas A) dan 97,61% (di kelas B), sehingga pembelajaran terlaksana dengan baik sesuai dengan rencana. Oleh karena itu, berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran geometri yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan.
The Development of Geometry Learning Kit Based on Multiple Intelligences for 8th Grade Students of Junior High School
Abstract
This study aimed to produce and describe the development process and quality of geometry learning kit based on multiple intelligences from Howard Gardner. This study adopted Plomp\u27s model of research design, consisting of preliminary research, developing, and evaluation. As a result, this research was developed learning kit, which includes lesson plans, a handbook, and worksheets of geometry for 8th graders 2nd semester. The quality of the developed instructions was described by its validity, effectiveness, and practicality aspect. The effectiveness of the product based on learning achievement was obtained from the percentage of the number of students who reach the Minimum Completeness Criteria (MCC), which was 75, where it was known that there were 82.05% of students achieving the MCC. The other effectiveness result can be seen from students\u27 self-esteem, after following the learning designed, it has a mean score with high classification. The students\u27 and teacher\u27s response was 4.175 (can be categorized practical) and 4.625 (categorized very practical), respectively. The result of learning observations showed that the percentage of the implementation learning was 96.82% (class A) and 97.61% (class B), so it can be seen that the learning process was taking place. Thus, the result of the study shows the learning kit was appropriate to be used
Pemanfaatan video pembelajaran berbasis Geogebra untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pemanfaatan video pembelajaran berbasis Geogebra dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Desain penelitian kuasi eksperimen ini adalah nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji U Mann-Whitney. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang menggunakan video pembelajaran berbasis Geogebra lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Video pembelajaran berbasis Geogebra efektif dan berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Video pembelajaran berbasis Geogebra ini dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.
The use of learning video-based Geogebra to improve students\u27 ability in understanding mathematical concepts
Abstract
This study aimed to describe the effectiveness of the use of learning video-based Geogebra to improve Vocational High School students\u27 ability in understanding mathematical concepts. This quasi-experimental research was a non-equivalent control group design. Data collection was done through interviews and tests of students\u27 ability in understanding mathematical concepts. The data analysis uses the U Mann-Whitney test. The results of this research show that the improvement of students\u27 ability to understanding a mathematical concept by using learning video-based Geogebra was better than students who learn by using conventional learning. Learning video-based Geogebra was effective and have a positive effect on improving students\u27 mathematical concepts. Learning video-based Geogebra could be used as one of the learning media to improve students\u27 mathematical concepts
THE LANGUAGE USE OF SEX ARTICLES IN WOMEN LIFESTYLE MAGAZINE IN INDONESIA CASE STUDY: COSMOPOLITAN INDONESIA
The choice of words is one of important aspects in writing articles in printed media. Creative language use in lifestyle magazine may create interest for readers. The purpose of this research is to analyze the language use in sex articles in Cosmopolitan Indonesia. Launched in 1997, Cosmopolitan Indonesia is the first licensed Indonesian women lifestyle magazine and the first women magazine in Indonesia that openly discusses sex. This marks a change in Indonesian printed media. Before the publication of Cosmopolitan, sex and intimacy were only discussed in non-public spheres. Although the topics are discussed openly, the magazine uses special terms to describe man and women genital organs. After 22 years, Cosmopolitan Indonesia is still using the same terms in its sex articles, despite the fact that other women magazines are now discussing sex more openly and most of them are using the medical terms to describe genital organs. The focus of this research is mainly on what factors that consider Cosmopolitan Indonesia to use special terms in sex articles. The methodology will include purposive sampling interview and content analysis of 6 editions of Cosmopolitan Indonesia. The findings of this research may help the media and journalists to be more creative in choosing words for particular articles to attract readers interest, also to established the media unique identity, especially for lifestyle magazine.
Pemilihan kata-kata adalah aspek penting dalam penulisan artikel dalam media cetak. Bahasa yang kreatif digunakan dalam penulisan untuk majalah gaya hidup agar menarik perhatian pembaca. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penggunaan Bahasa pada majalah Cosmopolitan Indonesia. Diterbitkan tahun 1997, Cosmopolitan Indonesia adalah majalah gaya hidup berlisensi Internasional untuk perempuan pertama dan majalah perempuan pertama di Indonesia yang mendiskusikan topik seks secara terbuka. Hal ini menandai perubahan pada sejarah media cetak di Indonesia. Sebelum terbitnya majalah Cosmopolitan Indonesia, seks dan hubungan intim umumnya tidak didiskusikan secara terbuka pada media cetak. Walaupun topik-topik didiskusikan secara terbuka, majalah ini tetap menggunakan istilah tersendiri untuk menggambarkan alat kelamin lelaki dan perempuan. Setelah 22 tahun, Cosmopolitan Indonesia tetap menggunakan istilah istimewa untuk artikel seks, walaupun majalah perempuan lainnya kita telah membicarakan seks dengan lebih terbuta dan umumnya menggunakan istilah medis untuk menggambarkan alat kelamin. Fokus dari riset ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor apa saja yang membuat Cosmopolitan Indonesia mempertimbankan untuk memilih istilah khusus dalam penulisan artikel seks. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling interview dan content analysis dari 6 edisi Cosmopolitan Indonesia. Penemuan hasil riset ini diharapkan dapat membantu media dan jurnalis untuk lebih kreatif dalam memilih kata-kata untuk beberapa artikel spesifik untuk menarik perhatian pembaca, juga membentuk identitas unik sebuah media, khususnya majalah gaya hidup
Cooperation between vocational high schools and world of work: A case study at SMK Taman Karya Madya Tamansiswa
The purpose of this study was to find out: the school strategy, procedure, forms, and evaluation to cooperate with the world of work. The type of research is qualitative with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were the head of the department, the chairman of the special job fairs, the vice-principal of public relations, the vice-principal of curriculum, the head of competence skills, and industry that were in cooperation with the school. The methods of collecting the data were in-depth interviews and documentation. The results show that: (1) the school strategy in cooperation with industry began with industry visits, requesting permission to do industrial practice, good communication, submitting proposals related to school potential in the form of profiles, being active in participating in school promotions, utilizing the role of industry as a guest teacher, being a pre-service place and outsourcing to industry; (2) the cooperation procedure analyzed the community, in this case, the world of work, established communication, and Involved world of work; (3) the forms of cooperation were the training of skills improvement in the field of science and technology, exchange of information, curriculum synchronization and development, implementation of internships, implementation of competency and certification tests, industry visits, industrial work practices, special job fairs, recruitment; (4) the evaluation of management in the implementation of the cooperation was included in the good category
Potensi lokal Gunung Ijen untuk pemahaman konsep dan berpikir kreatif pengurangan resiko bencana
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan: (1) kelayakan dan (2) efektifitas LKPD IPA berbasis project based-learning (PjBL) terintegrasi potensi lokal Gunung Ijen dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep lapisan Bumi dan berpikir kreatif peserta didik. Penelitian ini mengacu pada model pengembangan 4D. Uji coba empiris dilakukan pada satu kelas eksperimen terdiri dari 28 siswa dan satu kelas kontrol terdiri dari 24 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD IPA berbasis PjBL terintegrasi potensi lokal Gunung Ijen layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan berpikir kreatif peserta didik dengan kategori sangat baik dengan skor sebesar 3,75 menurut validator ahli materi dan 3,68 menurut validator ahli media. LKPD IPA tersebut efektif meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan berpikir kreatif dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (sig\u3c 0,05). Pemanfaatan produk dapat digunakan untuk sekolah-sekolah di sekitar kawasan Gunung Ijen. Sekolah yang jauh dari kawasan Gunung Ijen, dapat melakukan modifikasi tentang potensi lokal sesuai dengan daerah masing-masing.
Mount Ijen\u27s local potential to understanding concept and creative thinking of disaster risk reduction
Abstract
This study aims to reveal: (1) the feasibility and (2) effectiveness of Project Based-Learning (PjBL)-based science student worksheet (LKPD) integrated to Mount Ijen\u27s local potential in improving the students\u27 understanding of Earth layer concept and creative thinking.This study refers to the the development model of 4D. The empirical trial was conducted to one experimental class consisting of 28 students and one control class consisting of 24 students. The results show that the developed PjBL-based science LKPD integrated to Mount Ijen\u27s local potential is worthy of being used as teaching materials by improving the concepts and creative thinking of student understanding with a very good category with the final score of 3.75 according to the material expert validator and 3.68 according to the media expert validator. The developed science LKPD is significantly effective in improving students\u27 understanding of concepts and creative thinking at the significance level of 0.000 (sig \u3c 0.05). It can be used for schools around the area of Mount Ijen. For schools that are extremely far from Mount Ijen, the modifications can be made about the local potential according to their respective regions
An analysis of gender difference on students\u27 misconceptions in learning the material classification and its changes
Every teacher has experiences to identify and find out students who have misconceptions in their classrooms. Misconceptions that occur can differ between male and female students. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of gender on misconceptions in the lesson of the material classification and its changes. The survey-aiming method was used in this study. A total of 62 students from one of the state junior high schools in the city of Surakarta consisting of 34 male students and 28 female students were involved as the subjects in this study. Identification of misconceptions was conducted using the Two-tier multiple-choice diagnostic instrument that was equipped with the Certainty of Response Index method. The formulation of this study problem was: How are the differences of misconceptions between male and female students in learning the material classification and its changes? This study showed that female students tended to have misconceptions on the competency achievement indicator vis-a-vis explaining the understanding of elements, compounds and mixtures, while male students tended to have misconceptions on the competency achievement indicator pertinent to distinguishing elements, compounds, and mixtures. In general, female students had better conceptual knowledge than male students. The two-tier multiple-choice instrument could be used as an alternative instrument to identify misconceptions among students. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for educators to identify and resolve students\u27 misconceptions
Relevansi konsep pemikiran pendidikan dan kebudayaan George S. Counts dan Ki Hajar Dewantara dengan kompetensi peserta didik abad 21
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkontekstualisasikan pemikiran dua tokoh di abad 19 tentang pendidikan dan kebudayaan serta menemukan relevansi pemikiran tersebut dengan kompetensi peserta didik di abad 21. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian studi pustaka dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis isi. Data berupa sumber primer dan sekunder. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik library research. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan pendekatan induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep pemikiran kedua tokoh saling berkaitan khususnya tentang empat poin pokok, yaitu tujuan pendidikan, fungsi pendidikan, proses pendidikan, dan peran pendidik. Konsep pemikiran tersebut masih relevan jika dikontekstualisasikan dengan kompetensi peserta didik di abad 21. Abad 21 menghendaki peserta didik memiliki keterampilan berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, dan kolaborasi. Tujuan pendidikan dipandang sebagai cara mengekspresikan peradaban yang dilayani dan mengusahakan kebudayaan yang berazas keadaban. Peradaban yang akan dilayani peserta didik di abad 21 adalah perpaduan pengetahuan, pemikiran, keterampilan inovasi, media, literasi Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (ICT), dan pengalaman kehidupan nyata. Untuk itu diperlukan peran optimal pendidik dalam memvariasikan proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan berbagai metode sehingga pendidikan dapat menjalankan fungsinya untuk mengatasi krisis sosial dan ketertinggalan budaya, sehingga mampu mempertinggi derajat kemanusiaan. Pendidikan juga harus selalu mewariskan kebudayaan dalam setiap prosesnya agar peserta didik memiliki keluhuran budi.

This research aims to contextualize the thoughts of two figures in the 19th century about education and culture, and to find out the relevance of that thought to the competence of students in the 21st century. This research conducted a literature study using the content analysis approach. Data in the form of primary and secondary sources. Data collection is done by library research techniques. Data are analyzed qualitatively with an inductive approach. The research results show that the concepts of thought of the two figures are interrelated especially about the four main points, namely the purpose of education, the function of education, the educational process, and the role of educators. The concept of thought is still relevant if contextualized with the competence of students in the 21st century. The 21st century requires students to have critical thinking skills, problem solving, and collaboration. The purpose of education is seen as a way of expressing the civilization served and cultivating a culture based on civilization. The civilization that will be served by students in the 21st century is a blend of knowledge, thought, innovation skills, media, information and communication technology literacy (ICT), and real life experiences. For this reason, the optimal role of educators is needed in varying the learning process by using various methods so that education can carry out its functions to overcome social crises and cultural backwardness, so as to enhance humanity. Pengembangan Prototype Sistem Kendali Kualitas Air Tambak Udang
The purpose of this article is to describe the analysis, design and performance of prototype shrimp water quality control systems. This tool is expected to simplify and ease the work of shrimp farmers in checking water quality regularly. In its design consists of several steps, namely designing the design of tools, making mechanical systems, programming, and the final stage of testing. The main component that is used as the main control is Arduino Nano. Salinity sensor, DS18b20, and PH-4520C as components for monitoring water quality. 12V DC water pump as a stabilizer of the pH level in the water. Based on the results of testing the average error for the water temperature sensor, water pH sensor and salinity sensor are 0.74%, 2.06%, and 3.60%, respectively. The three error values are less than 10%. Based on the results of testing the pH of water, liquid pH up will be sprayed when the pH value of the water is less than 6.5. While the liquid pH down will be narrowed when the pH value of water is less than 8. The results of this performance test can work in accordance with the function and purpose
Studi Komparasi Simulasi Sistem Kendali PID Pada Matlab, GNU Octave, SciLab dan Spyder
Dalam penelitian ini perbandingan antara perangkat lunak MATLAB, GNU Octave, Scilab dan Spyder akan diamati. Proses yang menjadi obyek dalam penelitian ini adalah sistem kendali PID yang digunakan untuk mengendalikan plant yang berupa model motor DC. Fungsi alih dari motor DC merupakan model dari motor DC yang diturunkan dari hukum newton ke-2 dan hukum kirchoff tegangan. Simulasi dilakukan pada perangkat lunak menggunakan 2 cara yaitu kode program dan block programming. Jumlah baris kode program yang terpendek adalah MATLAB dengan 17 baris dan yang terpanjang adalah Spyder dengan 20 baris kode program. Untuk block programming hanya dapat dilakukan pada MATLAB dan Scilab karena perangkat lunak yang lain tidak memiliki fitur tersebut. Waktu eksekusi kode program diamati padan masing-masing perangkat lunak dan Spyder adalah yang tercepat dengan waktu 0.0682 detik. Hasil plot dari masing-masing perangkat lunak tidak banyak memiliki perbedaan. MATLAB adalah perangkat lunak yang terbaik dengan fiturnya namun diperlukan biaya lisensi dalam menggunakannya
Tinjauan atas artikel penelitian dan pengembangan pendidikan di Jurnal Keolahragaan
Relevansi penelitian pendidikan dengan praktik pendidikan masih sering dipandang secara skeptis. Padahal ada jenis penelitian yang dinilai berpotensi menjembatani jurang tersebut, yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan pendidikan. Tampilan kata kunci yang paling banyak digunakan di Jurnal Keolahragaan menunjukkan jenis penelitian ini banyak dipublikasikan. Namun demikian, tinjauan pada artikel yang melaporkan hasil penelitian ini belum dilakukan. Oleh karena itu, studi ini menganalisis artikel-artikel penelitian dan pengembangan di Jurnal Keolahragaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi dokumen. Data dikumpulkan melalui penelusuran arsip di situs web Jurnal Keolahragaan. Hasilnya, metode penelitian dan pengembangan memang banyak digunakan dan dilaporkan di jurnal tersebut. Analisis dokumen berupa sampel artikel terpilih menghasilkan temuan berupa: penggunaan istilah \u27model\u27 yang dapat diperdebatkan, kekurangakuratan dalam penyajian referensi prosedur pengembangan dan prosedur evaluasi yang cenderung pada data-data kuantitatif.
A review of the educational research and development articles in Jurnal Keolahragaan
Abstract
Skeptical feelings about the value of educational research remained. Educational research and development (R&D) as applied research has the potential to bridges the gap between educational research and practice. The keywords tag cloud in the Jurnal Keolahragaan revealed that this type of research is widely conducted. Unfortunately, a review of the R & D articles in this journal had not been carried out. Therefore, this study aims to review R & D articles in Jurnal Keolahragaan. The method used in this research is a document study. Data collected from the journal archive. The result of this study confirmed that R&D was indeed widely used and reported in the journal. The findings from analytical reviews were as follow: the debatable use of the term \u27model\u27 which is frequently used, the inaccuracy of the reference used in developmental procedures, and the evaluation procedures dominated by quantitative data
