Dysmenorrhea is a disorder in which women experience pain or cramping in the abdominal region throughout the menstrual cycle. It has been noted that physical activity and psychological variables can exacerbate dysmenorrhea. The purpose of this study was to examine the association between physical activity level and the severity of dysmenorrhea in late adolescence. This cross-sectional study involved 126 late female adolescents aged 17 to 25 years experiencing dysmenorrhea. The independent variable was physical activity, which was measured using the International Physical Activity Questionnaires (IPAQ), categorized into high and low physical activity levels . The dependent variable was dysmenorrhea, measured using the working ability, location, intensity, days of pain, and dysmenorrhea (WaLIDD), which was categorized into severe and mild dysmenorrhea. The association between physical activity and dysmenorrhea was analysed using simple binary logistic regression analysis. The findings indicated that mild dysmenorrhea was 93.65% and severe dysmenorrhea was 6.35%. Adolescents who engage in high physical activity were more likely to experience severe dysmenorrhea than adolescents who engage in light physical activity (OR= 5.11; p= 0.032; 95% CI= 1,15 to 22,72). The probability of adolescents who participated in high physical activity in experiencing severe dysmenorrhea was 14.70%. It can be concluded that high physical activity level is correlated to higher risk of experiencing severe dysmenorrhea

    No full text
The study aims to unearth public perceptions of the label of favorite schools after the implementation of student admission reform in Indonesia, namely the zoning system, and to explore the underlying causes. Adopting a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, this study involved participants from nine provincial education services, nine regency education services, 72 teachers, and 72 parents. Data collected through in-depth interviews and focus groups reveal three distinctive perceptions of favorite schools. The first view posits that after the implementation of the zoning system, the quality among schools is relatively similar, indicating that the new policy is effective in reducing educational disparity. The second sees that some favorite schools persist, but there is a narrowing educational disparity among schools. The third view, the majority, maintains the belief of the importance of favorite schools and maintains the idea that sending their children to these schools is important to secure a better future. Erasing the label of favorite schools is not an easy endeavor since these schools have created long-lasting positive images in the public landscape. The result of the study will add to the discussion of the impact of the new applied school zone system on public perception of favorite schools and inform policymakers regarding the impact of educational policy enacted

Achieving precise kick accuracy and coordinated movements in futsal was essential for competitive success. This study aimed to evaluate the differences between various futsal training approaches that incorporated distinct coordination exercises involving manipulative movements, specifically assessing their impact on kick accuracy. A quasi-experimental design with a control group was employed, focusing on shooting skills within the futsal context. The population consisted of 70 members from the Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur (UMKT) futsal team, from which 40 players were purposively selected based on their participation duration of over six months and their tier status within the university\u27s core teams. Participants were divided into two groups: one received static coordination training (control group), and the other underwent dynamic coordination training (experimental group), each comprising 20 players. The intervention spanned 18 sessions, including pre- and post-tests. Data were collected through a modified shooting kick test at the futsal goal, utilizing a point distribution system. Analysis revealed significant differences in kick performance between the two training methods, with dynamic coordination training yielding superior results (t-count = 3.010 \u3e t-table = 2.024). These findings indicated that dynamic coordination exercises were more effective than static ones in enhancing futsal kick accuracy. Future research should have considered expanding the population and sample size to include amateur players, introducing additional variables and diverse training methodologies, extending training duration and frequency, conducting long-term evaluations, measuring shooting technique quality, and employing quantitative research methods. By addressing these suggestions, subsequent studies could contribute more comprehensively to the understanding of effective training strategies in futsal
