    No full text
Level of student\u27s proportional reasoning in solving missing value problem Abstract The purpose of this qualitative descriptive study was to describe the level of proportional reasoning eighth-grade students in solving the problem of the unknown values. This research instrument was an assignment sheet about a missing value problem that validated. The subjects of this research were students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 (State Junior High School) Kalipare, Malang, Indonesia, with a total of 33 students. Data collection procedures begin with students being asked to do research instruments. After obtaining data on student work, three students selected as research subjects for interviews with different proportional levels of reasoning. The results showed that students\u27 proportional reasoning was at level 0, transition level 0 to 2, and level 4. At level 0, students solved the problem of missing value problem using differences and arbitrary operations. At the transition level from 0 to 2, students solve the problem of missing value problem using the difference and then switch to using building both measure methods. At level 4, students solve the problem of one unknown value using only the rules of cross multiplication

    No full text
The General Self-Efficacy Scale 12 (GSES-12) is a brief measure for assessing self-efficacy. This study aimed to revise an Indonesian language version of the GSES-12 that was translated and adopted from previous research. The revision conducted by following the Guidelines for the Process of Cross-Cultural Adaptation of Self-Report Measures, and the final version was administered to 303 (132 male, 171 female) Indonesian students, with a mean age of 19.56 years (SD: 1.20). This study is presented to establish the construct validity of this instrument further. The results of Bayesian CFA revealed a higher-order structure of factor representing constructs of self-efficacy. Considering the theoretical background and the best model fit indices (PPP-value = 0.549 and BRMSEA = 0.001), it is concluded that the Indonesian version of GSES-12 appears to be a valid instrument in assessing self-efficacy in Indonesian speaking students and is expected to facilitate the examination of self-efficacy in Indonesian speaking populations

    No full text
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- practices of citizenship or civic education used in Indonesia after the demise of the New Order regime. It argues that the use of the terms has been rather haphazard because they have been less discussed and contested in academic circles. As a result, it was rather confusing when the Indonesian government intended to re-introduce Pancasila Education recently. This paper suggests that consistent and systematic use of such terms will enable us to locate Pancasila more proportionately in the map of Indonesia\u27s Citizenship Education (Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, PKn)
