Coaching: una poderosa herramienta de aprendizaje, desempeño y crecimiento
Get PDFThe main objective of this article is to carry out a review of the state of the art about coaching in order to analyze the accumulated knowledge on this topic and explain what coaching is, give an account of its benefits, while highlighting the importance that coaching has today for managers. Coaching arises as a need for companies due to the great changes and transformations that have occurred in recent decades, as a result of which, leaders have modified their way of acting in order to face both globalizations, as well as technological changes. Coaching represents a personal growth technique whose main objective is to help people achieve the goals they set for themselves, while facilitating the improvement of competencies, attitudes and skills, providing individuals both with a better quality of life, as well as a greater degree of personal satisfaction. It presents a quantitative documentary methodological approach with a bibliographic design that seeks to compile information, experiences and scientific contributions about coaching, supported by an extensive review of the literature related to this topic. It is concluded that coaching is a comprehensive process, which values the development, well-being, growth and personal self-realization, both from the point of view of what people do as well as the being of each worker.El objetivo del artículo es realizar una revisión del estado del arte acerca del coaching a fin de analizar el conocimiento acumulado sobre este tema y explicar qué es el coaching, dar cuenta de sus beneficios y poner en evidencia la importancia que tiene para los directivos de todo tipo de organizaciones. Surge como una necesidad de las empresas a raíz de los cambios y transformaciones producidos en las últimas décadas, en función de lo cual, los líderes han debido modificar su actuar para enfrentar tanto la globalización, como también los cambios tecnológicos. El coaching representa una herramienta de crecimiento que tiene como finalidad ayudar a las personas a lograr las metas y facilitar el mejoramiento de sus competencias, actitudes y habilidades, a fin de alcanzar una mejor calidad de vida y un mayor grado de satisfacción personal. Presenta un enfoque metodológico cuantitativo de tipo documental con un diseño bibliográfico que busca compilar información, experiencias y aportes científicos acerca del coaching, y se sustenta en una amplia revisión de la literatura vinculada a este tema. Se concluye que el coaching es un proceso de carácter integral que permite valorar el desarrollo, crecimiento y autorrealización personal, tanto desde el punto de vista del hacer como así también del ser de cada trabajador

Get PDFA constant in Venezuelan popular belief is to point out that Dr. Hernández had “bad luck”, because at only 54 years old, he was fatally run over by the only vehicle in Caracas, when this is uncertain since prior to his irreparable accident, by 1904, there were already more than 700 vehicles registered in Venezuela and on the contrary, he presented great luck, since on eleven documented occasions and possibly more times, he managed to escape death, surely due to divine protection, where God had already prepared the way for this man of science and holiness, the fourth Venezuelan blessed, the first saint of Venezuela, the doctor of the poor, Dr. José Gregorio Hernández.Una constante en la creencia popular venezolana, es señalar que el Dr. Hernández tuvo “mala suerte”, pues con apenas 54 años, lo atropelló fatalmente el único vehículo de Caracas, cuando esto es incierto ya que anterior a su accidente irremediable, para 1904, ya existían registrados más de 700 vehículos en Venezuela y por el contrario, presentó mucha suerte, ya que en once oportunidades documentadas y posiblemente más veces, logró zafarse de la muerte, seguramente por la protección divina, donde Dios ya tenía dispuesto el camino para este hombre de ciencia y de santidad, el cuarto beato venezolano, el primer santo de Venezuela, el médico de los pobres, el Dr. José Gregorio Hernández
Gestión emocional universitaria: Clave para el florecer de la resiliencia
Get PDFThis article, derived from a completed investigation, limited to the interpretive paradigm, qualitative approach, and transcendental-hermeneutic phenomenological method, aimed to reflect on university emotional management as a key to the flourishing of resilience. It developed emotional intelligence in resilient university scenarios, emotional management and institutional collective well-being, and empathic leadership to flourish in adverse contexts. It was ontologically based on intersubjectivity. It embraced the episteme of social constructionism, which considers knowledge as a dialogical and historical creation. An in-depth interview was conducted with the Rector, the Assistant Vice Rector for Research and Outreach, and the Vice Rector for University Well-being at Francisco de Paula Santander University in Cúcuta, Colombia, from which the meanings and significance they attributed to the phenomenon under investigation emerged. The findings revealed a holistic view of emotional intelligence from the perspective of university management competencies, highlighting work-related qualities, empathy, and interpersonal harmony. The reflections emphasize the idea of an ethical and humanized university management that projects cohesive, emotionally healthy academic communities oriented toward collective well-being through assertive decision-making. An empathetic and resilient university leadership is envisioned, grounded in emotional intelligence as a strategic axis for confronting adverse environments.Este artículo generado de una investigación concluida, circunscrita al paradigma interpretativo, enfoque cualitativo, método fenomenológico trascendental hermenéutico, tuvo el propósito de reflexionar sobre la gestión emocional universitaria como clave para el florecer de la resiliencia. Se desarrolló la inteligencia emocional en escenarios resilientes universitarios, gestión emocional y bienestar colectivo institucional y el liderazgo empático para florecer en contextos adversos. Ontológicamente estuvo basada en la intersubjetividad. Se asumió la episteme del construccionismo social, que considera el conocimiento como una creación dialógica e histórica. La entrevista en profundidad fue aplicada al Rector, el Vicerrector Asistente de Investigación y Extensión, y el Vicerrector de Bienestar Universitario de la Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander de Cúcuta, Colombia, desde lo cual emergieron los sentidos y significados atribuidos por ellos en la realidad del fenómeno investigado. Los hallazgos develaron una visión holística de la inteligencia emocional desde las competencias gerenciales universitarias, destacando cualidades laborales, empatía y armonía interpersonal. Las reflexiones destacan la idea de una gestión universitaria ética y humanizada que proyecta comunidades académicas cohesionadas, emocionalmente saludables y orientadas al bienestar colectivo a través de decisiones asertivas. Venezuelan university transformation in the 21st century: A liberating pedagogical vision
Get PDFLas instituciones universitarias, tanto en Venezuela como a nivel global, enfrentan la impostergable demanda de pertinencia social y participación popular como ejes de resistencia ante las formas encubiertas de neocolonialismo y la creciente mercantilización de la educación. Bajo esta premisa, el presente ensayo tiene como objeto proponer un conjunto de postulados teóricos, fundamentados en las propuestas pedagógicas de Paulo Freire y Enrique Dussel, que contribuyan a catalizar la transformación universitaria venezolana en el siglo XXI. Metodológicamente, el estudio se configura como una investigación cualitativa. desde una perspectiva ontológica, permite acoger los abordajes hermenéutico y crítico para el desarrollo del análisis. A modo de reflexión final, la concreción de la transformación universitaria en Venezuela, en sintonía con el proyecto de nación de la Constitución de 1999, se sustenta en la construcción de categorías derivadas de los aportes pedagógicos de Paulo Freire y Enrique Dussel. Esta base teórica provee la coherencia necesaria para fundamentar las políticas estadales de Educación Universitaria enfocadas en superar la inequidad, la impertinencia y la baja calidad.University institutions, both in Venezuela and globally, face the urgent demand for social relevance and popular participation as pillars of resistance against the covert forms of neocolonialism and the growing commercialization of education. Based on this premise, the present essay aims to propose a set of theoretical postulates, grounded in the pedagogical proposals of Paulo Freire and Enrique Dussel, that contribute to catalyzing the transformation of Venezuelan universities in the 21st century. Methodologically, the study is configured as a qualitative documentary research, which, from an ontological perspective, allows for embracing hermeneutic and critical approaches for the development of the analysis. As a final reflection, the realization of university transformation in Venezuela, in line with the nation's project outlined in the 1999 Constitution, is based on the construction of categories derived from pedagogical contributions by Paulo Freire and Enrique Dussel. Challenges and legacies in current management: An analysis from the modernity and bureaucratic society
Get PDFEl propósito del artículo es analizar los desafíos y dilemas de la gerencia actual a través del lente de la Modernidad y la sociedad burocrática. La metodología empleada es de tipo cualitativo, utilizando la hermeneútica articulada con el análisis de contenido, para una triangulación teórica de tres categorías: modernidad, sociedad burocrática y gerencia. Para ello, se seleccionaron cuidadosamente nueve artículos científicos, que cumplen con el criterio revisión por pares, indexados en bases de datos como Google Académico, Scopus y Web of Science. La triangulación metodológica permite evidenciar que la gerencia contemporánea es heredera de un doble legado: por un lado, los avances en eficiencia y racionalidad de la burocracia, y por el otro, sus problemas inherentes de rigidez y deshumanización. La discusión central del artículo argumenta que los desafíos de la era digital, como la ética de la IA, son una manifestación moderna de la "jaula de hierro" weberiana. Las conclusiones principales subrayan que el futuro de la gerencia no reside en abandonar las estructuras burocráticas, sino en transformarlas. Se propone un "liderazgo de síntesis" capaz de equilibrar la eficiencia con la adaptabilidad y la humanización, navegando así los dilemas éticos y existenciales de la gerencia contemporánea.The purpose of this article is to analyze the challenges and dilemmas of contemporary management through the lens of modernity and bureaucratic society. The methodology employed is qualitative, utilizing hermeneutics combined with content analysis for a theoretical triangulation of three categories: modernity, bureaucratic society, and management. To this end, nine scientific articles were carefully selected, meeting the peer-review criteria, indexed in databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science. This methodological triangulation demonstrates that contemporary management is heir to a double legacy: on the one hand, advances in bureaucracy's efficiency and rationality, and on the other, its inherent problems of rigidity and dehumanization. The article's central discussion argues that the challenges of the digital age, such as the ethics of AI, are a modern manifestation of the Weberian "iron cage." The main conclusions underscore that the future of management lies not in abandoning bureaucratic structures, but in transforming them. A "synthetic leadership" is proposed, capable of balancing efficiency with adaptability and humanization, thus navigating the ethical and existential dilemmas of contemporary management
Vision of victimization of the family member of the accused in criminal proceedings from a socio-juridical perspective in Venezuela
Get PDFDentro del ámbito nacional, toda persona vinculada a un proceso penal, en condición de procesado o penado, conserva los derechos fundamentales inherentes a toda persona, reconocidos en Convenios y Pactos Internacionales, consagrados en la Constitución de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela, los cuales no se pierden por efectos de la condena penal. Siendo así el respeto y garantía de los derechos humanos de los procesados o penados, tiene la misma condición para los familiares de estos privados de libertad. Sin embargo, la situación de vulnerabilidad de los derechos de los procesados también se encuentran los familiares de los penados o penados quienes en constante empeño, quedan a disposición de personas que deberían garantizar sus derechos, por el contrario, es sabido por las reseñas de prensa y visitas a los centros penitenciarios, se vulneran los derechos al momento que éstos realizan las visitas a los centros penitenciarios, donde se encuentran sus familiares privados de libertad. Con oportunidad de proyectar el eje investigativo se aborda bajo un paradigma interpretativo, enfoque cualitativo, bajo una metodología fenomenológica apoyada en la hermenéutica. Finalmente una condición reflexiva que complementa el conocimiento, es el extensivo respeto de los derechos humanos de los familiares en su doble pena.Within the national scope, every person linked to a criminal process, as a defendant or convict, preserves the fundamental rights inherent to every person, recognized in International Conventions and Covenants, enshrined in the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which are not lost due to the effects of the criminal conviction. Thus, the respect and guarantee of the human rights of the accused or convicted, has the same condition for their relatives deprived of liberty. However, the situation of vulnerability of the rights of the accused is also found in the relatives of the convicted or sentenced who in constant effort, are at the disposal of people who should guarantee their rights, on the contrary, it is known from press reviews and visits to prisons, that their rights are violated when they visit the prisons, where their relatives are deprived of their freedom. In order to project the research axis, it is approached under an interpretative paradigm, qualitative approach, under a phenomenological methodology supported by hermeneutics. Curriculum and higher education: A review of current and emerging trends in curriculum design
Get PDFArticle 107 of the National Constitution defines institutions of higher education as communities that seek truth and promote human values. In order to fulfill this mission, it is essential to establish spaces for interaction between professors and students, which is reflected in the curricular design. This design acts as a meeting point for collaboration and the exchange of knowledge, making it possible to achieve educational objectives through effective policies. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the need to reconfigure curriculum design and practice in a context marked by the fifth industrial revolution. This transformation affects working conditions and the professionalization of human talent, highlighting the obsolescence of traditional pedagogical methods. Against this background, the paper seeks to answer the question about current trends in curriculum design in Venezuelan higher education. A review of the training models that guide the creation of curricular plans is proposed, providing a vision of the situation of the Venezuelan educational system and curricular dynamics. From this analysis, current and emerging trends in the university environment are identified. The conclusions seek to enhance the debate on the curriculum, highlighting its nature as a science of education and the importance of adapting to social and technological changes.El artículo 107 de la Constitución Nacional define a las instituciones de educación superior como comunidades que buscan la verdad y promueven valores humanos. Para cumplir con esta misión, es fundamental que se establezcan espacios de interacción entre profesores y estudiantes, lo que se refleja en el diseño curricular. Este diseño actúa como un punto de encuentro para la colaboración y el intercambio de saberes, permitiendo alcanzar los objetivos educativos a través de políticas efectivas. La pandemia de COVID-19 ha acelerado la necesidad de reconfigurar el diseño y la práctica curricular, en un contexto marcado por la quinta revolución industrial. Esta transformación afecta las condiciones laborales y la profesionalización del talento humano, poniendo en evidencia la obsolescencia de métodos pedagógicos tradicionales. Ante este panorama, el documento busca responder a la pregunta sobre las tendencias actuales en el diseño curricular de la educación superior venezolana. Se propone una revisión de los modelos de formación que guían la creación de planes curriculares, proporcionando una visión sobre la situación del sistema educativo en Venezuela y las dinámicas curriculares. It was a documentary investigation from which the theoretical aspects enriched with the reflective foundations in the teaching practice of multimodal education, multimodal pedagogical strategies for inclusive and flexible teaching, teacher training towards the success of multimodal education were taken. The arguments were supported with different authors of articles linked to each of the subtitles developed. The conclusive axis accounts for the integration of multimodal pedagogical strategies in university education with the requirement for consolidated teacher training, which combines interdisciplinary approaches and the development of higher cognitive skills. The future vision of this essay aims to consolidate an inclusive and flexible university educational model, where effective teaching practices, supported by multimodality, promote equity, personalized learning and technological innovation to address student diversity.Este ensayo argumentativo planteó reflexionar en torno a las prácticas docentes efectivas en el modelo multimodal hacia una educación universitaria inclusiva y flexiva bajo la estructura de estrategias alineadas con las preferencias de aprendizaje de los estudiantes. Se trató de una investigación documental a partir de la cual se tomaron los aspectos teóricos enriquecidos con los fundamentos reflexivos en la práctica docente de la educación multimodal, estrategias pedagógicas multimodales para una docencia inclusiva y flexible, formación docente hacia el éxito de la educación multimodal. Los argumentos fueron sustentados con diferentes autores de artículos vinculados a cada uno de los subtítulos desarrollados. El eje conclusivo da cuenta de la integración de estrategias pedagógicas multimodales en la educación universitaria con la exigencia de una formación docente consolidada, que combine enfoques interdisciplinarios y el desarrollo de habilidades cognitivas superiores. Estrés laboral en el personal de la Unidad Registro Civil Hospital Central Barquisimeto: Una comprensión hermenéutica desde sus actores
Get PDFThis research understands work stress from the perspective of the daily experiences of the employees of the Civil Registry Unit of the Central Barquisimeto Hospital. The research is developed under an interpretative paradigm, with a qualitative approach, using the phenomenological-hermeneutic method. In-depth interviews were applied to five civil registry employees, whose testimonies were processed in analysis matrices to extract the key categories of the study. The findings reflect that work stress has a significant impact on the physical and mental health of workers, affecting their performance and quality of life. Task overload, lack of adequate resources and the accumulation of documents without efficient organization are identified as the main factors contributing to the problem. The study also shows that work-related stress is a growing social phenomenon within the hospital management field, which requires the intervention of health authorities and hospital managers. It emphasizes the importance of implementing strategies to mitigate its effects and promote a healthier work environment that favors the well-being and efficiency of the staff.Este estudio comprende el estrés laboral desde la perspectiva de las experiencias cotidianas de los empleados de la Unidad de Registro Civil del Hospital Central Barquisimeto. La investigación se desarrolla bajo un paradigma interpretativo, con enfoque cualitativo, utilizando el método fenomenológico-hermenéutico. Se aplicaron entrevistas en profundidad a cinco funcionarios del registro civil, cuyos testimonios fueron procesados en matrices de análisis para extraer las categorías clave del estudio. Los hallazgos reflejan que el estrés laboral tiene un impacto significativo en la salud física y mental de los trabajadores, afectando su desempeño y calidad de vida. La sobrecarga de tareas, la falta de recursos adecuados y la acumulación de documentos sin una organización eficiente se identifican como factores principales que contribuyen al problema. Asimismo, el estudio evidencia que el estrés laboral es un fenómeno social en crecimiento dentro del ámbito de la gestión hospitalaria, por lo que se requiere la intervención de las autoridades sanitarias y gestores del hospital.
