    Open innovation in the pharmaceutical industry: subject mapping by bibliographic coupling

    This paper aims to identify the thematic structure of the literature on open innovation in the pharmaceutical industry using bibliometric analysis based on bibliographic coupling, based on the publications that comprise the H 26 index for the topic, according to Scopus. The publications coupled using VosViewer software yield nine clusters. Once these were organized, we reviewed their respective publications to discuss the subject matter of each one. Among the most relevant findings, five relevant clusters were identified: on open innovation models, governance aspects, financial performance, intellectual property and pioneering work covering the broad spectrum of innovation and competitiveness in the pharmaceutical industr

    Introduction: the frequent consumption of foods high in saturated fat content has been associated with the increasing prevalence of obesity worldwide, especially in developed countries. Objective: to conduct a literature review on nutrition and its relationship with obesity and the emergence of liver diseases. Methods: a literature review was conducted in digital libraries such as PubMed, SciELO, and Latindex, meeting inclusion criteria: years between 2019 and 2023, updated dietary guidelines, official documents, scientific articles, and books in English and Spanish. Results: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a growing condition, being one of the most relevant chronic liver diseases worldwide, especially in adults, school-age children, and adolescents. It has been associated with obesity, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome, affecting 25-30 % of the adult population, with higher prevalence in countries such as Brazil, Chile, and Colombia in Latin America. NAFLD can lead to serious complications such as liver cirrhosis and liver cancer. Prevention includes lifestyle changes such as a balanced diet and regular physical activity, as well as early identification through nutritional screening tools in medical and nutritional consultations.     The present study carried out addresses the environmental risks in the DPA Pucusana, Lima –Peru; The study is analytical, retrospective and longitudinal, its objective was to evaluate the probability and consequence of the existing significant risks to define measures that control their effects in the environmental field during its operation, it focused on indicators of the natural environment and socioeconomic. The information collected was obtained at the landing stage and in entities related to its management (Pucusana Municipality, Pucusana Fishermen\u27s Guild, General Directorate of Captaincies and Coast Guards, National Fisheries Development Fund, Ministry of Production), through surveys, interviews and visits over a period of six months. Data from water quality monitoring in the Pucusana bay, carried out by DIGESA and IMARPE, were considered. The determinations of environmental risks were made based on the Environmental Risk Assessment Guide. The landing stage had an average environmental risk level of 42,67 %, which is classified as Moderate; being the levels of risk in the natural and socioeconomic environments of 48 % and 37,33 %, respectively.     Introduction: intestinal infections are one of the causes that most frequently bring patients under 6 years of age to primary health care systems. In Ecuador, given the cultural and hygienic conditions, they are linked to malnutrition, especially in rural areas, causing poor performance and absenteeism at school for children and wear and tear on their caregivers. Objective: to determine the presence of Rotavirus and Adenovirus in patients attending a laboratory in the city of Ambato from 2018 to 2023. Method: the research was descriptive and longitudinal with a total of 3330 patients between 1 day old and 80 years old. The detection method used was qualitative lateral flow immunoassay of Certest, Healgen and Operon brands. Added to this information obtained by literature search in sources such as Researchgate, Google Scholar, SciELO, PubMed, Elservier, BVS, Dialnet, Science Direct from 2018 to 2024. Results: the prevalence of Rotavirus was (69,28 %) relative to that of Adenovirus (30,72 %) ( p<0,0001). The rate of Rotavirus antigens in the year 2023 was higher for children between 1 day old and 5 years (76 %) than that detected in children for Adenovirus (24 %) (p<0,0001). Conclusions: the presence of viral agents is considered moderate considering that the study population was urban, an increase in the number of cases from 2018 to 2023 is evident, which makes it necessary to review public health policies in order to reduce the number of times this pathology is repeate

    Introduction: Spectrum neuromyelitis optica has been an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system that presents challenges in both diagnosis and treatment. The complex pathophysiology, together with varied clinical manifestations, makes its management especially critical. Therefore, the present study has focused on describing and analyzing spectrum neuromyelitis optica, by focusing on the pathophysiology, clinical presentation and therapeutic options. As well as the understanding and management of the disease in medical practice.Method: A descriptive bibliographic review of the current literature on NMOSD was carried out, covering studies on the pathophysiology, clinical presentation and therapeutic strategies used. Results: Severe demyelination in NMOSD was observed to be mediated by antibodies against aquaporin-4, leading to significant axonal damage. Acute therapies, such as intravenous methylprednisolone and plasmapheresis, as well as long-term treatments, such as mycophenolate mofetil and rituximab, have shown efficacy in managing the disease. Furthermore, early diagnosis and appropriate treatment turned out to be essential to improve patients\u27 quality of life.Conclusions: The research highlighted the need for early diagnosis and a multimodal therapeutic approach for NMOSD. The combination of current treatments and the continued need for research to develop new therapeutic options are essential to advance the treatment of the diseas

    Introduction: The article is dedicated to studying the main capabilities and effectiveness of using AI in the modern education system and the impact of neural networks on developing analytical skills in learners. Methods: The research is based on the comprehensive application of analysis, comparative methods, forecasting and data analysis, pedagogical observation, and generalisation methods. Results: The article establishes that AI began actively integrating into the education system in November 2022 with access to the ChatGPT service. It also identifies that the use of artificial intelligence in the education system at various levels is founded on the integration of three primary skills: learning (collection and analysis of information), thinking (analytics, choosing optimal action algorithms), and self-correction (improving setting algorithms to achieve more accurate results). It is established that there are two main directions for using AI to enhance the efficiency of the educational process: the application of generative AI (generating texts, plans, annotations, presentations, images) and predictive AI (automation of educational processes). The use of AI in the education system occurs in three main areas: implementing personalised learning, automating essential educational functions (checking tests, problems, equations, even evaluating creative works), and improving the process of distance education and self-education. Conclusions: It is determined that the main disadvantage of using AI in education is the reduction in the level of socialisation and critical thinking among learners. Therefore, it is crucial to balance using neural networks in the learning process and the presence of the teacher\u27s personality in this process

The study emphasizes the need for universities to effectively convey valuable information to students and enhance their knowledge and familiarity with the brand. It also highlights the importance of well-organized websites, social media engagement, and admission events in enhancing brand awareness and revenue generation. The research provides insights and recommendations for higher education institutions in Vietnam and globally to enhance their brand awareness efforts and improve financial sustainability

This shift is essential for enterprises to meet evolving development needs and establish sustainable interest models. However, practical challenges and a lack of experience often hinder successful transformation, raising doubts about whether digital transformation can genuinely enhance performance. The theoretical exploration of this relationship remains in its early stages, with differing scholarly views on how digitalization affects performance. Objective:This paper aims to explore the mechanisms through which digital transformation impacts enterprise performance. It seeks to address the existing gaps in understanding and to investigate the channels through which digital transformation influences performance, utilizing various theoretical perspectives. Methods:To address high communication costs and data heterogeneity in federated learning, this study introduces local update and gradient compression techniques in optimization algorithms. Additionally, it incorporates gradient tracking to manage data heterogeneity. The paper employs a combination of resource-based theory, empowerment theory, and contingency theory, along with empirical analysis and experimental detection methods, to enrich the research content and depth.Results:The experimental results demonstrate that the optimized NG Boost model is effective in examining enterprises undergoing digital transformation from a dynamic capabilities perspective. This approach proves useful for studying how digital transformation leads to performance enhancement. Conclusion:The study confirms that integrating local updates, gradient compression, and gradient tracking into optimization algorithms can address key challenges in federated learning. The findings highlight the significance of digital transformation in improving enterprise performance, emphasizing the value of dynamic capabilities in achieving performance upgrades
