Principles of Artificial Intelligence regulation in the European Union and its potential application in the ecuadorian legislative framework
This study analyzes the regulation of artificial intelligence in the artificial intelligence in the European Union and its applicability in Ecuador, highlighting the differences between the two contexts. Modern international economic relations in the context of political risks and global geo-economic factors
Introduction: International trade is the main direction of development of international economic cooperation and formation of the world economic space. Given the relevance of the study, the purpose of the research is to identify current trends in the development of international economic relations and develop ways to improve the efficiency of international activity of European countries and the world. Methods: In the process of conducting the study, general scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, generalisation, and systematisation were applied. Results: As a result of the study, the authors analysed statistical material on the development of international trade and found that modern international economic relations are primarily implemented through international trade. It is stated that only 3 countries today control almost a third of the total international market, while the rest of the countries should focus on developing and implementing strategies for developing trade potential. Conclusions: The authors propose three main strategies for enhancing a country\u27s position in the international market and provides a description of each of them: a strategy of financial support for accelerated growth of presence in the international market; a strategy for ensuring sustainable economic growth; and an anti-crisis strategy for promoting the world market. It is proved that for most modern countries of Europe and the world it is possible to focus on ensuring the development of domestic production potential and developing a presence in international markets, provided that they follow global trends
The effect of board of director diversity on company performance and the mediating role of director remuneration: Malaysia public companies’ evidence
Introduction: The board of director diversity plays a critical role in developing strategic options to improve company performance. The appropriate remuneration package for the director might bridge between the effectiveness of diversity of board and enhancing company performance.Objective: The study aims to examine the effect of board of director diversity on company performance, with a particular focus on the mediating role of director remuneration. Methodology: The nature of the study is quantitative. The current study focuses on the Malaysia public listed companies. The study used panel data from period 2015 to 2021 using secondary data which extracted from Bloomberg database and company annual report. The study utilized 601 sample observation. Result: Data was analysed through Stata software and the findings reveal a significant positive relationship between board diversity (gender, ethnicity, tenure) and company performance measured by Economic Value Added (EVA) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) scores. Additionally, director remuneration is found to significantly mediate the impact of board diversity on EVA, although its mediation effect of ESG performance is less pronounced. These results highlight the importance of fostering diverse boards and implementing fair remuneration practices to enhance both financial and non-financial performance in companies. Optimized design of digital animation based on virtual reality technology
Background: The production of moving images using computer systems is referred to as digital animation, or laptop-generated imagery (LGI). By using virtual landscapes and devices to create immersive settings, virtual reality (VR) improves this experience. The application of virtual reality (VR) technology and optimization algorithms to digital animation character technology is investigated in this study.Aim: The study aims to enhance the shape, motion, and interplay of animated characters using an upgraded Penguin Search Optimization (UPSO) algorithm, while also employing VR for motion design and scene communication.Methods: The research employs motion captures facts, scenario descriptions, and the character models to optimize the shape, actions, and interactions of animation characters. To improve those components, the UPSO set of rules is applied, and the efficiency of the optimized animation in realistic virtual worlds is accessed via VR generation.Results: The adoption of the UPSO algorithm resulted in a significant improvement in the realism of character actions (95%), character quality (92%), and overall product satisfaction (93%). The UPSO algorithm also achieved an accuracy of 97.03%.Conclusion: This study contributes to the advancement of animation by combining optimization algorithms with VR technology, resulting in a more immersive and appealing visual experience for user
The role of financial literacy in economic development
Introduction: The study of financial literacy has proven its role in ensuring the well-being of citizens of different countries. Financial knowledge and skills affect citizens\u27 lives, such as managing expenses and income, investing in stocks or somewhat risky digital assets, retirement savings and retirement planning. Objective: This study focuses on the specifics of the impact of financial literacy on economic growth, stability and economic inequality. Methods: The article applies a systematic approach to highlighting financial literacy issues in the context of economic growth, stability, and inequality. The methodology includes structural and functional analysis, methods of synthesis, and comparison. Results: The article reveals a moderate direct positive correlation between financial literacy and the well-being of the population of countries, measured in GDP per capita at purchasing power parity. At the same time, the level of prosperity of a country\u27s population has a lesser impact on the development of citizens\u27 financial skills. A high level of awareness of macroeconomic indicators (inflation, purchasing power, interest rates) affects the ability of citizens to maintain a high level of financial well-being, plan savings, and avoid debt. Conclusions: Given the above, there is a need to develop the financial skills of the most vulnerable segments of the population. The impact of product innovation and service quality on survival recovery of msmes: the mediating role of financial performance
Introduction: The innovation business model explores the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia between two time periods. In describing the condition of MSMEs, those who regulate MSMEs and policymakers in general are expected to help small and medium-sized enterprises improve service quality and product innovation for performance during the pandemic.
Methods: This study employs a quantitative and purposive sampling approach based on a questionnaire disseminated to MSMEs in Indonesia as the research object. Data analysis was conducted using Stata version 17 for multiple linear regression analysis and the classic assumption test with 218 respondents. There are two time periods, namely before 2019–2020 and during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021–2022. Before and during the pandemic, the innovation business model of service quality and product innovation had a positive influence on MSMEs\u27 performance in Indonesia.
Results: This became clear when we compared the quality of service, product innovation, and customer loyalty separately, contrasting the regression results of the circumstances before and during the pandemic and their impact on Indonesian MSMEs. A service quality approach (SERVQUAL) was adopted to measure service quality, which discusses five quality aspects: tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy.
Conclusions: This approach bears similarities to product innovation and performance variables, whose analyses parallel those of the quality-of-service variable
Application of ARIMA model and deep learning in forecasting stock price in Vietnam
Introduction: Time series forecasting is essential in production, business, and policy-making. In Vietnam, statistical models have been used to forecast time series, such as foreign investment and consumer price index. However, only some studies have used deep learning models in predicting economic variables. The study aims to application of ARIMA model and deep learning in forecasting stock price in VietnamMethods: This article aims to review and evaluate the predictive ability of the ARIMA and deep learning models when forecasting the prices of the five stocks with the largest capitalization from January 2018 to April 2023. Results: The deep learning model\u27s prediction results show that the deviation rate between the actual and predicted values is 3.3%. Territorial decision-makers are aware that investing in intelligent digital technologies and human skills is now a priority in order to value a distinctive and high-quality territorial and cultural offer, and that this will allow them to effectively meet the challenge of tourist attraction. It is thus an orientation toward the establishment of a smart tourism culture capable of facilitating the creation and use of a rich and diverse base of tourist data. This will then be transported via digital channels to facilitate the development of flexible and effective territorial marketing strategies aimed at quickly and profitably satisfying these customers\u27 needs and expectations. The function of Henan traditional folk art schema in Public Art DesignAbstract
Henan Province, often regarded as the cradle of Chinese civilization, is famous for its rich heritage of traditional folk art. These art forms, extremely intertwined with the region\u27s cultural identity, are not only valuable as cultural artifacts but also serve as a powerful source of encouragement for contemporary Public Art (PA) design. The function of Henan\u27s traditional folk art schema in shaping modern PA, focusing on how folk motifs, patterns, and symbolism are incorporated into PA installations. Henan\u27s diverse folk art traditions, such as the complicated paper-cutting, sophisticated ceramics, and the profound symbolism of bronze, offer a distinct aesthetic language that informs PA designs in urban spaces. Through a qualitative analysis of case studies, this research examines notable PA projects in Henan, including the murals at Zhengzhou\u27s Erqi Square, the Song-inspired displays at Kaifeng\u27s Iron Pagoda Park, the structural design embellishments in Yingcheng Folk Culture Street, and the thematic installation at the Luoyang Peony Festival. These examples reveal the seamless blending of traditional folk art with present artistic expression, representing the ability of conventional schemas to bridge the gap between history and modernity. The research highlights that folk art forms not only preserve cultural heritage but also transform public spaces by enriching the visual landscape, fostering community identity, and sparking cultural dialogue. Value Added Tax from Digital Economy and Information Technology Funds on Revenue Generation
Introduction: Digital taxation has become a critical area of global focus, with many countries adopting value-added tax on digital services to boost revenue from online sectors. The objectives of the study were to examine the effects of value-added tax from digital economy, and information technology funds on revenue generation in Nigeria, using the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology as a framework on the overall effects of digital taxes on Nigeria’s taxation landscape. Methods: The research utilised a survey design involving 500 respondents, including 50 members of the Federal Inland Revenue Service and 450 internet users from a total population of 4.4 million phone users. Results: Findings reveals that electronic transfer funds significantly enhanced revenue generation. Additionally, the digital economy positively affected aggregate revenue streams, while digital taxes also promoted technological utilization in Nigeria. Conclusion: The study among others concluded that effective implementation of digital taxation, value-added tax, and technology funds has improved revenue generation in Nigeria. The study recommends a streamlined tax structure to ensure consistent revenue growth, highlighting the need for self-compliance, reduced administrative burdens and sustaining the eight proposed pillars will be vital for advancing Nigeria\u27s digital economy
