K fenomenognozii časového vědomí
Následující text vydal v roce 1930 Oskar Kraus pod názvem Zur Phänomenognosie des Zeitbewußtseins v časopisu Archiv für die gesamte Psychologie, 75, n. 1-2, s. 1-22. Obsahuje výňatky z korespondence Franze Brentana a pražského profesora Karlo-Ferdinandovy univerzity Antona Martyho z roku 1895 a část Martyho přednášky o Brentanově teorii časového vědomí z téhož roku.
V článku je popsáno deset nejzávažnějších konfliktů: Russell vs. Bergson, Schlick vs. Husserl, Carnap vs. Heidegger, Ryle vs. Heidegger, Popperova kritika pseudovědy, konference v Royaumont, Searle vs. Derrida, odhalení Heideggerovy nacistické minulosti, Derridův čestný doktorát z Cambridge a Sokalův podvrh. The article focuses on the history of the conflict between analytic and continental tradition, which dominated the philosophy of the 20th century. Although both traditions originated from the same intellectual environment and were heavily influenced by Neo-Kantianism, their mutual lack of understanding progressed over time and, on several occasions, the situation grew into open hostility. The article describes the ten most serious conflicts: Russell vs. Bergson, Schlick vs. Husserl, Carnap vs. Heidegger, Ryle vs. Heidegger, Popper\u27s critique of pseudoscience, conference in Royaumont, Searle vs. Derrida, the revelation of Heidegger\u27s Nazi past, Derrida\u27s Honorary Doctorate from Cambridge, and Sokal\u27s scam. At the beginning of the 21st century it turns out that the conflict between analytic and continental philosophy has been exhausted. What is more substantial is the dispute over the philosophical methodology, which is reflected in the division into naturalistic and anti-naturalistic thinkers

Poverty and Terrorism in Northern Nigeria: Reflections and Notes on the Manipulation of the Almajirai System and its Implication for National Development
Scholars have posed a relation between Poverty, Ignorance and Terrorism. This is based on the increasing and heightening level of terrorist activities in most parts of the world, which has been linked to the ability of some powerful forces and actors manipulating the minds and hands of those affected by poverty (both material and intellectual) in society to engage in terrorist acts. Data obtained from primary and secondary sources were deployed to carry out a study with an analytical and narrative historical method. Findings indicate that in the case of Nigeria, with specific reference to the northern part of Nigeria, these actors (often wealthy, influential and disgruntled political and religious persons) deliberately manipulated the almajirai system to perpetuate terrorism. It also discovers that this act has in one way or another hampered the socio-economic development of the area in particular and the nation at large. The main reason is that human and intellectual resources, which would have been channelled towards building the nation, have been diverted to destructive tendencies without those involved knowing this under the guise of either liberation movement or fighting for freedom. It can therefore be concluded that unless more drastic measures are taken, the country may face even more severe dangers
The paper presents the concept of complexity in the Christian evolutionary theory of Teilhard de Chardin. First, the Teilhard’s method is presented, dealing with values and distinguishing three qualities of being (unity, diversity and intensity of relationships) which increase in the evolution. Author then attempts to find criteria of complexity of different systems and living entities, based on the three mentioned qualities. Finally, the main theological topic of Teilhard’s theory is sketched: Evolution is based on self-organization and its goal (determined by God) is to enable creativity and freedom at each evolutionary level according to the level of attained complexity. At the level of noosphere, freedom reaches its fullness; the concern of human being as a co-worker on creation of the world with advancing evolution becomes his main task, including the search for one’s own unique contribution to the complexity of the human systems

The End of "The End of History" - One Tale, Two Continents
This paper’s objective is to give an account of the ongoing transition from liberal democracy to a new form of governance, defined by the Hungarian Prime-Minister, Viktor Orbán, as the “illiberal state.” The author examines the transformation of the political culture in two countries, which at first sight do not have much in common: Sierra Leone and Hungary. In order to better understand the nature, causes and possible consequences of this shift, she re-examines the path leading from the democratic transformation of the 1990s to the present-day changes. She concludes that the move towards illiberal democracy is not a sudden, irrational deviation from what preceded it but rather the direct consequence of the way democratization was conceived and implemented in the countries in question. From a local angle, the illiberal turn points at a double rupture: that of the contract between national governments and local civil societies. From a global perspective, it probably reflects a tectonic reorganisation of international power relations
