Study on Effect of Different Binding Agents on Texture of Frozen Potato Patty by Sensory Evaluation Analysis
Plant-based frozen products such as potato patty (begedil) are relatively easy to process and become a product of choice for local small and medium entrepreneurs. However, its olfactory attributes are impeded if thawing is required prior to any other consumption. Besides, the moisture is readily separated from the matrix and lead to softening of the texture, drip loss and deterioration of overall quality thus shortening its keeping quality. The aim of this study was to overcome the aforementioned problems by manipulating the binding properties of different types of flour; tapioca, potato, and corn flour coupled with planned processing steps. Three formulations were developed and labeled as F1, F2 and F3 which used tapioca flour, corn flour and potato flour as binding agents respectively where they are singly added into prepared ingredients and then froze at -40C. Samples were tested weekly to observe their binding abilities during frying (1800C) as well as their sensory attributes where 30 trained panelists were instructed to evaluate the texture, meatiness and overall acceptance. This study showed that F1, formulation that used tapioca flour as binding agents was found to be the most outstanding binder with an acceptable eating quality that lasted for 91 days if the kept frozen
The Concept of Solid Fertilizer Dispensing Machine
Workers in the agricultural industry require more effort and prolonged amount of time to dispense fertilizers into the soil of the pineapple plants for several acres. Sometimes, it takes a few days to finish the fertilizing process. Hence, using bare hands to fertilize plants causes energy and time to be wasted. The aim of this project is to fabricate a portable solid-fertilizing machine that is able to dispense fertilizer pallets that will be used in the pineapple agriculture industry. This project consists of design mechanism, fabricating mechanism and testing of the dispensing mechanism of 20 grams of fertilizer. The designed dispenser consists of a cup which contains 20 grams of fertilizer pallets. The cup is attached to a mechanism below the storage tank, where a trigger is fabricated to perform the dispensing action of the fertilizer pallets. Hence, fertilizer pallets can be dispensed through a flexible hose and into a metal pipe. At the end of the metal pipe consists of a cone like sharp pointy edge which helps agricultural workers to pierce the soil with ease. With the aid of this project, it can minimize the time required to perform fertilizing of plants in the agricultural ecosystem and industry. Therefore, there is a huge market for this project being able to fertilize plants with limited time and force

Development of Portable Water Quality Monitoring System Using Apps
Portable Water Quality Monitoring System Using Apps or better known as PWQMSA is a device for measuring and displaying the water temperature, water hygiene and pH value. The design of this innovation model is based on ADDIE model. Kodular Creator serves as graphical user interface while Firebase acts as a database. All the readings measurements acquired are stored in the Google Excel Spreadsheet. Apps that build using the Kodular Creator can be converted into apk format and downloaded by the user. Before innovation, fish pool operators will conduct water quality tests using pH strips to determine the pH value as well as using the hand to detect the temperature of the pool and see with the naked eye to determine whether the water is cloudy or clear. By using the PWQMSA, the measurement and monitoring process is now simpler, the value is readable, the information is automatically gathered in the Google Excel Spreadsheet and the system gives the owner the notification of water status. Moreover, the authentication process can be done by entering a password to prevent outsiders from accessing apps. The various hardware used in this innovation are Arduino Mega, NodeMCU, DS18B20 temperature sensor, humidity sensor, pH sensor and turbidity sensor. The greatest contribution is to contribute to the high accuracy in measuring pH values using the straight line formula y = mx + c. This model has been tested for its functionality by Energy High Tech Sdn Bhd that has certified qualifications in electrical and electronic field. However, for future planning, other parameters can be added such as Dissolved Oxygen, Ammoniacal Nitrogen, Biochemical Oxygen Demand and Total Suspended Solid
Rekabentuk Mesin Pengadun Sos Char Kuey Teaw
The diversity of product’s production from small and medium industries grow rapidly in our country. This is to respond to our government\u27s call to empowering local products and extension of local products to overseas export marketing. As such, entrepreneurs are looking for new approaches to producing better and quality products in order to meet with the growing demand of customers from local products. When entrepreneurs try to produce in large quantities to meet with the required qualities and established standards, problems arise. For example, the char kuey teaw sauce, the pH value will increase with the existing method of between 6 and 7, while the desired quality is below. Therefore, a machine is required to develop a semi-automatic processing machine to make the char kuey teaw sauce. The concept of this mixer machine is based on mechanical principle and semi-automatic electrical controller, where the temperature, speed and time can be controlled to produce better product quality. The frame or tank of the mixer is made of quality stainless steel. As a result, the quality of the product can be maintained, time can be saved by 200 liters per process within 1 hour compared to 50 liters within a day using the conventional methods
Smart Storage for Pelleted Rabbit Feed
Air humidity plays an important role in maintaining dried pelleted rabbit feed quality. High relative humidity of air in the equatorial climate will lead to the growth of fungus and mold on the pelleted rabbit feed. As consequence, high levels of rabbit deaths occurred in Gold Rabbit Farm, Bintangor due to contaminated pelleted rabbit feed. The innovation of this project is related to the need for clean storage and relative humidity controller to maintain the quality of the pelleted rabbit feed. Thus, a dry food storage area is designed and fabricated by installing air dehumidifier. The storage space is airtight and large in size to accommodate a large quantity of food stocks and has the ability to maintain a low relative humidity air. The existence of this storage allows entrepreneurs to store more pellet feeds and reduce mortality due to food poisoning. As result, the cost of production decreases and profits increase with reduction of rabbit fatality
