    Bakery products have short shelf life due to its fragileness and moldy nature. The Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) is an  optimum packaging solution that can be applied to increase the shelf life of a product. At the moment, bakery retailers are only able to produce bread in small quantities due to the nature that is easily rotten and smelling murky. The objective of the study is to find the best method to improve the duration of bread sold in the market and identify the most suitable way to maintain the taste and dryness of bread. Hence, to identify packaging materials and the packaging technology which are appropriate to extend product life and durability. This study focuses on the concept of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) to maintain the smell and taste of the original bread for optimal time duration. The proposed solution is to design a vertical sealer packaging machine and the flushing function for the packing and production of bread packed into a nylon PA wrapper. Air is included from the non-oil compressor to improve the product lifespan and prevent products from wrecking. Nylon PA is chosen due to its excellent technical characteristics of gas absorption. This machine is capable of wrapping the product up to 1000 packs daily compared to 600 packs per day using the manual operation. In conclusion, the modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) applications in the bakery industries provide a great advantage in improving the shelf life of bakery products using suitable gas mixture to maintain the taste and fragrant of the bread

    The use of 3D CAD software in product design engineering field is widely used due to its functionality and features are ease to user compare to traditional 2D CAD software for designing process. Unfortunately, the use of 3D CAD as a medium of idea generation technique at conceptual design stage is still under debating among the scholars where the method of hand sketch dominated longer as a medium of effective idea generation at the conceptual level. In this study, the effectiveness of using 3D CAD software versus hand sketch in generating an innovative ideas at the conceptual design process has been experimentally analysed. A quasi-experimental study using pre-test and post-test control group design method was conducted on manufacturing technology programme students, at Community Colleges, Ministry of Education Malaysia that took product design course by using 3D CAD software. The population consists of 106 students at four Community Colleges offered Manufacturing Technology Certificates where the samples consisted with 41 students for the treatment group and 34 students for the comparison group. The treatment group generated ideas using 3D CAD software while the comparison group used the traditional hand sketch method for ideas generation. ANOVA tests were used to determine a significant effect on the generation of novelty ideas, variety ideas and quality ideas. The findings showed that there is a significant difference in the ability to generate ideas using 3D CAD compared to traditional methods among mechanical engineering students. As a conclusion, the use of 3D CAD software as an idea-generation medium is much better in enhancing student’s achievement to produce innovative designed product compared to the traditional hand sketch method

    Awareness of Halal Supply Chain among Traders in Farmers’ Market around Klang Valley Area, Malaysia

    Supply chain involves the process of managing halal and non halal products from different points of suppliers to different points of buyer, involved multiple parties located in different places, with the aimed of meet the requirements of their customers.  The integrity of halal food products must be rigorously secured in every way and all steps must be adhered by all parties involved in the supply chain to avoid contamination with haram item or najs. This paper investigates the awareness of halal supply chain among traders in farmer\u27s market on the areas of halal certification, halal standard, halal dedicated asset and halal assurance system. Respondents are 90 traders of raw materials part in farmer\u27s market within the Klang Valley, Malaysia based on a convenience sampling. This study found that the mean of halal standard are the highest ranking with the score of 3.37.  Pearson correlation between awareness of halal supply chain and halal certification is positive. Regression analysis shows a significant positive relationship between the halal certificate and awareness of halal supply chain thus indicating that halal certification is an important area to relate to halal supply chain. Future studies could include big retailers or choose supermarket or grocery store and Islamic regulatory agencies to have a better understanding on the awareness of halal requirement among the traders through initiative campaigns and programmes

    PT. Asuransi Harta Aman Pratama, TBk. is General Insurace which net income began to experience a drastic decline in 2015 and suffered heavy loss in 2017. The aim of this research is to analyze the financial performance of PT. Asuransi Harta Aman Pratama, Tbk using the financial ratio in Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) No.28, that is about Insurance. This analisys will reveal the cause of loss. There is one ratio that is not used in this research, that is Premium Receivable to Surplus Ratio. This company has decreased of net profit in 2015, then in 2017 suffered losses. The result of analyze to find out which part are concern of the company to improve its performance. Used in this research is a quantitative approach of descriptive method. The present research methodology analyzes financial reports from PT. Asuransi Harta Aman Pratama, Tbk. between 2010 and 2017. It also analyzes correlated factors based on supporting data. the overall of research show ratios show poor performance and a comprehensive strategy is needed to improve performance

    Trends in Engineering Student Admission: Preliminary Study of Politeknik Tuanku Sultanah Bahiyah

    Engineering programs are the most popular types for students who seek to become technicians or engineers. Furthermore, the Malaysian government is focused on technical and vocational education and training (TVET). This study investigates the patterns of enrollment for mechanical engineering students at Politeknik Tuanku Sultanah Bahiyah. Data extracted from the Student Affairs Department at Politeknik Tuanku Sultanah Bahiyah for the years 2015 through 2017. The study’s findings show that enrollment for mechanical engineering programs decreased for both the June and December sessions (but particularly for the December session) from 2015 through 2017. One reason for this is that enrollment among students seeking a mechatronic diploma decreased by 50% in 2017

    A desirable integrated access to the information that affected to the organizations were, in facts, having the relationship with the perceptions to adopt the information system, especially that requires the technical competence and skills. This study investigated the using of Web-based academic information system to assist students in the academic activities. Specifically, on the behavior influenced to adopt the new information technology. Based on the developed information model towards academic system (Academic Information System Based on WEB, we called as SIAK), the study found that the user satisfaction (US) for academic purposes were having significant correlation with all of Net System Benefit. Here, the User Satisfaction (US) on whether happy or not towards the system is having significant correlation with all of System Quality (SQ), Attitude Towards Using (ATU), and Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU). Whiles, to the completeness of contents were having significant correlation with all of Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) and Use Intentions (UI). This study also found that the users were very concern to the speed of information presented and provided by the system. The better quality of the academic information systems, the more satisfy the users to the information system

    A healthy mind is a crucial element to develop creativity and innovative thinking among students as well as to promote a conducive and harmonious learning environment. Therefore, a study was conducted to identify the level of depression, anxiety and stress among students and its relationship to the students’ academic achievement. The study was carried out to 113 second semester students from the total of 142 December 2018 academic semester students in Kolej Komuniti Masjid Tanah (KKMT). The samples were randomly selected and taken according to the Sample Size Determination Table proposed by Krejcie and Morgan (1970). The DASS21 scale which is the similar scale used by the SPA to measure depression, anxiety and stress was used as the instrument. The mean in Pearson Correlation was set to the significance level of .05. The study found that Depression (1.50) and Stress (1.33) of KKMT students were in normal condition. The anxiety aspect (2.20) was at a mild level. The Pearson correlation portrayed a weak relationship between Stress (1.43), Anxiety (.073) and Depression (.132) to students’ academic achievement. This study provides an overview for KKMT student affairs unit to plan more appropriate programs in developing a healthy mindset among students to encounter any learning challenges

    Kesediaan Pelajar dalam M-Pembelajaran bagi Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran di Kolej Komuniti Tawau, Sabah

    The main aim of this study was to observe student\u27s readiness towards m-learning in teaching and learning process. The respondents in this study were 140 students who was enrolled in various program at Kolej Komuniti Tawau, Sabah. The method of this study was survey research by using questionnaire instrument to get feedback from respondents. Main objective of this study was to indicate readiness among teaching and learning implementation during class. Data of this study have been analysed with IBM SPSS Statictis version 24. The findings of this study indicated that the respondents had a high level of personal knowledge, suitability and acceptance towards m-learning. Data of analysis showed that mean score value of three dimension of main study’s focus was 4.27. Through t-test, the result show that there was no difference between gender towards m-learning. Thus, study findings also showed that student has no contraint to apply m-learning ini teaching and learning process

    Penghasilan BioCaps dan Kesan Penggunaan Terhadap Kerintangan Penyakit Capsicum Sp.

    BioCaps is organic pesticide control made from organic sources selected from natural sources. This product uses 100 percent organic sources. The objective of this research is to build and see the impact of BioCaps on resistance to Capsicum sp. Organic pesticide control produces by mixtures; Azadirachta indica, substance A,B and C. Substance A is antiseptic, substance B is decomposed and substance C is a natural biological control. Capsicum sp. with similar maturity is use and divided into three different treatments, namely T1; control (no pesticides used), T2; commercial and chemical pesticides, T3; BioCaps organic pesticides. All samples are placed in open areas in the fertigation system with daylight exposure for 24 weeks observation. Evaluation is carried out on physical assessment through direct observation. By week 2, all samples are sprayed with a subject pesticide. By week 3, T3 shows no change in healthy green leaves while samples from T1 and T2 begin to have curly leaves. T2 only shows growth during the 4th week with the effect of certain yellow leaves on the other. All leaves for T3 remain green, flowering and fruity throughout the observation. Therefore, BioCaps is effective against curly leaf disease in Capsicum sp. for 24 weeks of observation

    Technologies and IOT have the potential to transform agriculture in many aspects. The development of Intelligent Smart Farming ITT based devices is day by day turning the face of agriculture production by not only enhancing it but also making it cost-effective and reducing wastage. By using various smart agriculture gadgets, farmers have gained better control over the process of raising livestock and growing crops, making it more predictable and efficient. The aim of this paper is to propose a novel smart IOT gadgets which used in agricultural as weather stations, combining various smart farming sensors, collect various data from the environment and send it to the cloud in getting live data for efficient environment monitoring which will enable them to do smart farming and increase their overall yield and quality of products. The smart IOT agricultural kit being proposed via this paper is integrated with Arduino Technology, breadboard mixed with various sensors and live data can be obtained online from web based called Fabric.atilze.com. The product being tested as a pilot project on Live Agriculture Fields giving high accuracy over 98% in data feeds and save almost 40% of total fertilizer
