Lunchtime at the CIBV: from the scale to emotional listening
The eradication of hunger and chronic malnutrition is on the global public policy agenda. In the case of Ecuador, the indices are high and respond to socio-demographic logics, since their greatest incidence is in rural, poor and indigenous populations. The Children's Centres for Good Living (CIBV) seek to improve the nutrition of children between one and three years of age and thus to have an impact on their living conditions. Four meals are distributed to the children in these spaces. Care and learning revolve much around mealtimes. Feeding in these centres often takes place in a context of tension. For this reason, it is essential to develop strategies based on listening to the particular needs of each child. It is not only a matter of feeding them well or providing them with their caloric needs, feeding must be thought of as a process in which their physiological needs come into play, but also social and emotional needs
The contemporary school is reconsidered every day according to the demands that the society poses to it and one of these demands revolves in how to assist diversity, condition that is expressed in demands of the educational systems of recognized quality. In that sense, an inclusive school must be one that recognizes the support that has been given to teachers and students to meet the needs of each and every one of its members. The help is considered as the psychopedagogical construct that contains all the support that needs to be provided in the educational process, depending on the contingencies that are expressed in the same. This paper intends to reflect on the inclusive supports and an approach is made on how they are assumed and these are provided in a group of teachers who act as professional tutors of the students of the National University of Education during their pre-professional practices
This paper explains the approach to science teaching prescribed by John Dewey. Dewey rejected the conventional lecture + recitation + test model of teaching as wasteful, because learners did not do anything, and thus could not learn from experience. He also regarded it as anti-democratic, because students did not contribute to the aims or processes of their lessons, and thus were learning to submit to domination. Dewey reconceived science education in terms of students engaged in voluntary action in pursuit of self-chosen ends in engaging learning environments. Teachers have three roles: (1) the design of the learning environments, (2) consultation with the learners to assist them in achieving their ends, and (3) connecting the dots - after learners have had sufficient experience with areas of study - by re-presenting the knowledge acquired in its logically organized scientific form. The paper concludes by considering the adaptation of Dewey’s approach to today’s Internet-augmented learning spaces.

YOUTH, EDUCATION AND INFORMAL WORK. REFLECTIONS FROM OTHER ECONOMIES IN LATIN AMERICAN CONTEXTS.
Based on trajectories in Ecuador and Argentina, this article seeks to transmit its own reflections that will motivate further debate on the conception of work and the challenges faced by youth. It puts in tension theories that have dominated conceptualizations, laws and public policies; against the viewpoint of other economies, which prioritize life and the human being over capital. These, in relation to the experiences of young men and women, who emerge in diverse territories, both urban and rural, in search of sustenance. At the same time, the transforming role of education in the formation of critical thinking is being questioned, beyond being considered a requirement for employability, in times where technology is transforming at ever greater speeds, as well as the destruction of nature, in search of possible alternatives for present and future work
Pedagogies associated with the environment
The environmental crisis has a history of 40 years, and its approach in the educational processes, has been developed through Environmental Education (Caride and Meira (2000), García (2003), Sauvé (2004), González and Arias 2009), Novo (2009). This has allowed theoretical constructions on pedagogies related to the environment, to be analyzed in the light of the challenges demanded by education in this century, a challenge that interpellates educators to reflect on the foundations that guide pedagogical approaches in educational-environmental programs. In this order, this article presents part of the results of a documentary research whose purpose was to characterize the typological tendencies of the pedagogies associated with the environment.
From cooperative education to children's cooperative-competitive sport
Cooperative Education must necessarily exist between the coach or physical education teacher, the parents or family referents and the athletic children; for an adequate sportsmanship of their children, especially between 5 and 14 years of age, since this is the formative stage of most individual and collective sports. We propose to educate parents, coaches and athletes towards the achievement of an aptitude and cooperative-competitive attitude, in these early stages of training of athletes. For us it is a sine qua non necessity, to achieve adequate behaviors of the primary sport actors, as the first and most important sport result in the training stage.
The teaching-learning methods of general basic education (GBS) teachers: an experiential approach from pre-professional practices
Normally, the teachers give great importance to the fulfillment of the contents or also called area contents, but they are not consistent with the use of adequate teaching-learning methods. As a consequence, the boredom of the students with the routine presentations of the teacher is observed within the classrooms. That is, the student abhors certain contents not only because of his or her lack of motivation but also because of the method used and the apathy of the teacher when giving the class. Thus, this paper seeks to make a brief analysis of the teaching-learning methods of GBS teachers from my experience in pre-professional practices
For children in any school stage, any class has learning goals specific in each subject. However, what I want to emphasize here is one more vision broad, meaning that each class must contribute to the development from the innate capabilities of the child As far as language is concerned, the reasoning, representation and symbolization, as well as a their progress social, emotional and morals. The development from you are capabilities is not only a key to growth from a individual towards the adult capabilities, but it's also key Stop, and it underlies the development from the academic skills more explicit, a through from all the areas from curriculum. My ideas Here is a summary based on in the work of many researchers, and in particular those who study development early childhood . My . ideas are also attributed to the conversations with my daughter, who is a school principal preschool submerged from Spanish in San Francisco, California (Center The Waves), which follows a philosophy based on the Reggio model Emilia.
Translated with www.
