Idea uspołecznienia rynku w warunkach globalizacji
The paper discusses the idea of the social market, developed by Karl Polanyi, among others, and by German ordoliberalism, and implemented by Western welfare states. Facing globalized competition the welfare state seems to be defensive and the idea of the free market overpowers that of the social market. Paradoxically, the European Union as the alliance of national welfare states seems to be walking down the path of economic liberalism. An alternative direction for the EU, propagated by social liberals, is democratization, collaboration and dialogue which seem to have produced good results in Scandinavian member states. The paper discusses the idea of the social market, developed by Karl Polanyi, among others, and by German ordoliberalism, and implemented by Western welfare states. Ingerencje socjotechniczne w mechanizm społecznej aktywności
It is hardly a secret that modern democratic steering should melt into a natural course of events and make an impression of a cooperative partner system: the steering – the steered. In the scientific engineering approach to society a prodemocratic spark has appeared. This concerns the issue of society accommodating the changes (and not only the quality of such accommodation). What is meant here is the latest definition of social technique, developed by Piotr Pawe³czyk, who treats it as a process, i.e. a sequence of changes and states following in succession and organized in time.It is hardly a secret that modern democratic steering should melt into a natural course of events and make an impression of a cooperative partner system: the steering – the steered. Homo-niewiadomo, stereotypy a rzeczywistość
The author arrives at an interesting conclusion. Why do gays actually need this famous right to adopt? What do the advocates get as they lie down in the ‘over my dead body’ gesture? The only outcome is a larger number of children in orphanages. More children will waste their lives (let us not forget that it is because of us heterosexuals). What about gays? Not to prevaricate one can say that instead of adopting children, they will get their own ones. This cannot be banned. Are we facing overwhelming hypocrisy then? When you refuse them the right to adopt, you are shouting „perverts, keep off children,” as you block the streets. Yet the world moves on walking along the sidewalk. Gays’ and lesbians’ children are born and are brought up by two fathers or mothers in turns, or at the same time. M³odzie¿ Wszechpolska (a nationalist, ultra-Catholic organization of Polish youth) is sleeping soundly having performed its duty, while a new generation is quietly growing up next door. Lonely children are crying in orphanages but Młodzież Wszechpolska is enjoying an untroubled sleep. It has defended children against ‘perverts’and ‘fags’: those people from a different planet. They do not know any gay. Or at least, no gay who has come out...The author arrives at an interesting conclusion. Why do gays actually need this famous right to adopt? Ewolucja zawartości prasy lokalnej w Polsce w latach dziewięćdziesiątych XX wieku
The Author explains that the research into local press is mainly concerned with the departure from political, economic or manufacturing matters which are superseded by the problems of ordinary people. It is usually emphasized that the general outlook of local press is predominantly affected by three types of problems: social, cultural and sporting, with a particular stress on the historical aspect. The private commercial press is becoming dominated by issues concerning crime and scandals, sports and entertainment, and advertising and announcements as evidenced by an increasing proportion of these topics in the total volume of publications under consideration. However, in magazines which are produced by local governments the main topics concern the initiatives, importance and functions of local governments which makes these publications resemble popular notice bulletins. The Author explains that the research into local press is mainly concerned with the departure from political, economic or manufacturing matters which are superseded by the problems of ordinary people. Andrea Dworkin – najbardziej znienawidzona feministka
On April 9, 2005, Andrea Dworkin, one of the most controversial figures of the second wave of feminism, died in Washington. Her statements against violence and pornography had rather weak theoretical foundations. Her few attempts to provide a broader background or to give reasons for the discrimination against women are failures: they are superficial and chaotic. Yet Dworkin was not a theoretician of the feminist movement, but a practitioner, or even its creator. Her preoccupation with the struggle against pornography resulted from her own traumatic experience. Dworkin liked to provoke. She was not attractive, which she ostentatiously emphasized. She shocked with her language. However, besides excessive vulgarisms, her statements reveal the profound passion with which she defended her views. Referring to the emotions of her readers and listeners, she did not conceal her own emotions, therefore her texts ooze with honesty and naturalness. Loathed by anti-feminists, rejected by the majority of feminists, she contributed to the creation of the radical dimension of modern feminism. On April 9, 2005, Andrea Dworkin, one of the most controversial figures of the second wave of feminism, died in Washington.
