Postharvest quality maintenance of 'Crimson Seedless' grapes by preharvest applications
The present study was carried out during both 2018 and 2019 growing seasons on ‘Crimson Seedless’ grape vine grown on sandy soil. Vines received water, salicylic acid 200 mg/L, chitosan 10 g/L, putrescine 5 mM, phenylalanine 400 mg/L, ascorbic acid 500 mg/L, citric acid 700 mg/L, gibberellic acid 20 mg/L, active dry yeast 15 g/L at véraison (change of color) stages and at 10 days before harvesting time. Fruit clusters were harvested when total soluble solids (TSS) reached 16%, stored at 0°C and 85–90 relative humidity for 35 days then kept 2 days at shelf life (25 ±2°C and air humidity 70 ±2). Results at harvest time showed that, salicylic acid, putrescine, gibberellic acid and yeast increased average berry weight and juice volume. Salicylic acid, chitosan, putrescine, citric acid and gibberellic acid maintained the berry adherence strength and firmness. Salicylic acid, chitosan, putrescine and phenylalanine increased berry red color, as well as berry anthocyanin, TSS and sugars content. Highest acidity content was obtained by salicylic acid, chitosan, citric acid and gibberellic acid spraying. Results after cold storage and shelf life showed that, berry weight loss decreased significantly by all chemical sprays, except phenylalanine. High maintenance of berry adherence strength and firmness occurred by gibberellic acid followed by putrescine. All chemicals reduced the unmarketable grapes except the phenylalanine. Aktywność układu autonomicznego a dzielność wyścigowa koni arabskich czystej krwi
The aim of this study was to measure the parameters of the activity of the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems as well as the balance of the autonomic system in the context of selected indicators of horse racing performance. The study included 20 three-year-old purebred Arabians that underwent racing training. The activity of the autonomic system was measured with a Polar RS800CX device. The obtained data were analyzed in the PolarProTraine 5.0 software. The evaluation of racing performance was based on the analysis of the following indicators: total winnings, total winnings per one start, general handicap. It has been shown that the increased activity of the sympathetic system of young Arabian horses during racing training indicates their considerable emotional burden. The mares are characterized by worse results in this respect, so in their case it is worth discussing the possibility of shortening the racing season or limiting the maximum number of starts per year.Celem niniejszej pracy były pomiary parametrów aktywności układu współczulnego i przywspółczulnego oraz zrównoważenia układu autonomicznego w kontekście wybranych wskaźników dzielności wyścigowej koni. Badaniami objęto 20 trzyletnich koni arabskich czystej krwi, które przechodziły trening wyścigowy. Aktywność układu autonomicznego zmierzono urządzeniem Polar RS800CX. Uzyskane dane poddano analizie w programie PolarProTraine 5.0. Ocenę dzielności wyścigowej przeprowadzono na podstawie analizy następujących wskaźników: całkowita suma wygranych, suma wygranych przypadająca na jeden start, handicap generalny. Wykazano, że wzmożona aktywność układu współczulnego młodych koni arabskich podczas treningu wyścigowego wskazuje na ich znaczne obciążenie emocjonalne. Gorszymi wynikami w tym zakresie charakteryzują się klacze, stąd też w ich przypadku warto przedyskutować możliwość skrócenia sezonu wyścigowego lub ograniczenie maksymalnej liczby startów w roku
Wykorzystanie zasobów geotermalnych o niskiej entalpii do ogrzewania szklarni: badania eksperymentalne
The energy and economic performance analysis of integrated photovoltaic and geothermal systems, for greenhouse heating, was investigated in a experimental study developed at the University of Bari, Southern Italy. A 7.2 kW geothermal heat pump combined with a 120 m vertical double U-bend ground heat exchanger was installed in order to supply the thermal energy demand of 48 m2 single plastic skin greenhouse. Heat extraction energy from the soil, air temperature above the heated cultivated surface, growing media temperature, water temperature inside the heating system were measured and recorded continuously by a system composed of sensors and data logger. Results of the experiment showed that the use of geothermal sources integrated with photovoltaic panels can supply of totally heat energy demand of greenhouse with zero air emission and economy saving of 40% compared to the traditional heating systems.W Uniwersytecie w Bari (południowe Włochy) przeprowadzono eksperymentalne badania oraz analizy energetycznej i ekonomicznej wydajności zintegrowanych fotowoltaicznych systemów geotermalnych stosowanych w ogrzewaniu szklarni. Zainstalowano geotermalną pompę ciepła o mocy 7,2 kW wraz z podwójnym gruntowym, pionowym wymiennikiem w celu dostarczenia energii cieplnej do szklarni o powierzchni 48 m2 pokrytej pojedynczą warstwą tworzywa sztucznego. Energia cieplna z gleby, temperatura powyżej uprawianej powierzchni, temperatura medium, temperatura wody wewnątrz systemu ogrzewania były mierzone i rejestrowane w sposób ciągły przez układ składający się z czujnika i rejestratora danych. Wyniki eksperymentu wykazały, że przy wykorzystaniu źródeł geotermalnych zintegrowanych z panelami fotowoltaicznymi można całkowicie pokryć zapotrzebowanie w energię cieplną w szklarni uzyskując przy tym 40% oszczędność w porównaniu z tradycyjnymi systemami grzewczymi
Wpływ wilgotności pestek dyni na wybrane właściwości fizyczne
The aim of this work was identification of the selected group of the mechanical properties of pumpkin seeds the varieties Bambino of two humidity levels: 6% and 38%. The study of the mechanical properties was carried on the texture meter. The force and work of cutting and penetration of individual seeds were estimated. Analysis of the results shows significant value of certain parameters. The dry seeds showed the highest values of the force and work of cutting and penetration. In the case of fresh seed (38%) and dry (6%) the average difference in the values of the parameters was about 16%. The results of the study may be useful for technological processes such as drying pumpkin seeds or removing the husk.Celem pracy było określenie wybranej grupy mechanicznych właściwości pestek dyni odmiany Bambino o dwóch poziomach wilgotności: 6% i 38%. Badania cech mechanicznych przeprowadzono na teksturometrze. Określono siłę oraz pracę cięcia i penetracji pojedynczych pestek. Analiza wyników wskazuje naznaczące zróżnicowanie wartości określanych parametrów. Pestki suche wykazywały najwyższe wartości siły i pracy cięcia oraz penetracji. W przypadku pestek świeżych (38%) i suchych (6%) różnica wartości tych parametrów wynosiła średnio ok. 16%. Wyniki badań mogą być przydatne w procesach technologicznych obejmujących suszenie pestek dyni i usuwanie okrywy owocowo-nasiennej (łupiny)
Iniekcyjne dozowanie pestycydów w opryskiwaczach rolniczych
Introduced results of two injection devices of pesticides in agricultural sprayers. The main parameters tested: accuracy of the metering pump, duration to reach the good concentration at the boom sprayer, quality of the mixture. One ascertained good exactitude of dosage and inaccurate homogenization dosed of component with water. Oceniono: dokładność dozowania, czas wyrównania koncentracji roztworu, dokładność wymieszania składników roztworu. Stwierdzono dobrą dokładność dozowania oraz niedokładne wymieszanie dozowanego składnika z wodą. Wyrównanie stężenia roztworu następowało po 50 s od rozpoczęcia pracy układu dozującego
Effects of hazelnut husk compost and tea residue compost on quality and performance of 5 BB American grapevine rootstock saplings.
This study was conducted in unheated greenhouses and open-field nurseries of Ordu University Agricultural Faculty in 2017. Effects of hazelnut husk compost and tea residue compost on quality and performance of 5 BB American grapevine rootstock saplings were investigated. The 5 BB American vine rootstock saplings were used as the plant material and different media (soil, perlite, tea residue compost, hazelnut husk compost, soil + farmyard manure, soil + tea residue compost, soil + hazelnut husk compost, soil + tea residue compost + farmyard manure, soil + hazelnut husk compost + farmyard manure, soil + hazelnut husk compost + tea residue compost + farmyard manure) were used as the growing media. To determine the effects of experimental treatments, shoot growth parameters (shoot length, shoot diameter, number of leaves, leaf area, shoot dry weight), root growth parameters (root length, number of roots, root fresh and dry weight, root development level) and final sapling performance (1st grade sapling performance, 2nd grade sapling performance, total sapling performance) were determined. Tea residue compost was found to be effective on shoot and root growth parameters. Tea residue compost also yielded the greatest 1st grade (75%) and total sapling performance (90%). Soil + hazelnut husk compost + farmyard manure (79.6 cm2) was prominent for leaf area and soil + tea residue compost + farmyard manure (28.1) was prominent for chlorophyll content. IoT Tabanlı Enstrümantasyon Sistemi ile Farklı Frekansların Kurşun Asit Akülerin Desülfasyonu Üzerine Etkilerinin İncelenmesi
Bu çalışmada, Kurşun asit (KA) akülerde sıklıkla rastlanan sülfatlanma sorununun çözümüne odaklanılmış, nesnelerin interneti (IoT) tabanlı enstrümantasyon devreleri kullanılarak, farklı frekanslardaki gerilim darbelerinin KA akülerin desülfasyonu üzerindeki etkileri deneysel olarak incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla, eşit koşullarda sülfatlandırılmış dört özdeş akü, farklı frekanslarda gerilim darbeleri ve DC gerilim uygulanarak şarj edilmiş, akü parametrelerindeki değişimler analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonucunda akülerin yüke akım aktarabilme kapasitelerindeki düşüşün, DC gerilim ile şarj edilen aküde yüksek oranda, farklı frekanstaki gerilim darbeleriyle şarj edilen akülerde ise nispeten daha düşük oranda olduğu görülmüştür. Buna göre, yüksek frekanslı gerilim darbeleriyle desülfasyon işleminin, sülfatlanmış bir aküyü olumlu şekilde etkilediği görülmüştür
Ebû Hayyân’nın el-Bahru’l-Muhit’inde Nahivle İlgili Şiirsel Deliller (Taha Suresi Örneği)
Şiir, İslamiyet’in hem öncesinde hem de sonrasında Arap edebiyatında önemli bir yere sahip olmuştur. Kur’an-ı Kerim’in tefsiriyle ilgilenen herkes, ayetlerin anlaşılması noktasında hala şiire büyük bir önem atfetmekte ve onu temel kaynak olarak görmektedirler. Şiire verilen bu önem belli dönemlerle sınırlı olmayıp Sahabe, Tabiin ve Tebe-i Tabiîn dönemlerinden bugüne canlılığını korumuştur. Nitekim günümüzde, Kur’an ayetinin anlamı ve tefsiri hakkında sahip olunan herhangi bir görüş ya da düşüncenin desteklenmesi için şiirden nakiller yapılabilmektedir. Bu çalışma, Ebû Hayyân el-Endelüsî’nin (ö. 745/1344) hem dilbilim hem de kıraat ilmi için referans olarak kabul edilen el-Bahru’l Muhît isimli eserinde Arap şiirinin, Kur’an-ı Kerim tefsirine katkılarını ortaya koymak üzere kaleme alınmıştır. Çalışmada öncelikle Ebû Hayyân’ın hayatı üzerinde durulmuş, sonrasında izlenecek yöntem hakkında bilgi verilmiş daha sonra da şiirin, tefsirde “şahid” olarak kullanılması konusu ele alınmıştır. Önceki alimlerin bu konu hakkındaki görüşlerine de yer verilmiştir. Yine bu çalışma “şevahidin” ilk olarak nahiv açısından ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın ilerleyen safhalarında “Taha Sûresi” özelinde Ebû Hayyân’ın tefsirinde “şahit” olarak yer alan şiirler, bahsedilen esas üzere incelenmiştir. Kur’an’daki ayetlerin i‘râb ya da tefsiri yapılırken nasıl çözümlendiği ve açıklandığı ortaya konularak nihayetinde çalışma, sonuç ve önerilerle sonlandırılmıştır

Management of granulomatous lobular mastitis: an international multidisciplinary consensus (2021 edition)
Granulomatous lobular mastitis (GLM) is a rare and chronic benign inflammatory disease of the breast. Difficulties exist in the management of GLM for many front-line surgeons and medical specialists who care for patients with inflammatory disorders of the breast. This consensus is summarized to establish evidence-based recommendations for the management of GLM. Literature was reviewed using PubMed from January 1, 1971 to July 31, 2020. Sixty-six international experienced multidisciplinary experts from 11 countries or regions were invited to review the evidence. Levels of evidence were determined using the American College of Physicians grading system, and recommendations were discussed until consensus. Experts discussed and concluded 30 recommendations on historical definitions, etiology and predisposing factors, diagnosis criteria, treatment, clinical stages, relapse and recurrence of GLM. GLM was recommended as a widely accepted definition. In addition, this consensus introduced a new clinical stages and management algorithm for GLM to provide individual treatment strategies. In conclusion, diagnosis of GLM depends on a combination of history, clinical manifestations, imaging examinations, laboratory examinations and pathology. The approach to treatment of GLM should be applied according to the different clinical stage of GLM.
