    No full text
Psychological tests for students\u27 efficacy in accounting management inventories are not yet conducted, nor are they made. This study aimed to create an inventory that would test the accounting majors\u27 efficacy in managing to account. Bandura\u27s self-efficacy theory and Knowledge Management were used in this study. Data were gathered from the selected participants, the first year to fourth year accounting majors in UM Digos College enrolled in SY 2015-2016. A quantitative method of research was used in the study. A test questionnaire composed of four (4) dimensions with ten (10) test items each was used to gather the numerical data concerning accounting majors\u27 efficacy in accounting management. Research tools used were Mean, Cronbach\u27s Alpha, and Collinearity. Accounting Management Efficacy Inventory (AMEI) demonstrated excellently with a mean of 3.61. Items with a reliability coefficient fall between 0.957 to 0.959 are all reliable. Using collinearity diagnostics, constructs were all proved valid. Accounting Management Efficacy Inventory (AMEI) is useful to test students\u27 confidence on how they manage to account. This will help instructors create new and diverse teaching strategies and for their future students who want to take up any accounting courses

    No full text
This study established the relationship of entrepreneurial self-efficacy and adaptation to change of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Davao City, Philippines and the mediating role of their innovation capability. The study utilized a descriptive-causal quantitative research design involving 542 MSME owners. The test of mediating effect via regression analysis, medgraph, and Sobel z test were used to analyze the data. Results revealed that MSME owners exhibited a very high level of entrepreneurial self-efficacy, a high level of adaptation to change, and a very high level of innovation capability. Zero-ordered correlation revealed positive, significant relationships among the three variables. Regression analysis revealed a significant direct effect of entrepreneurial self-efficacy on adaptation to change and innovation capability, while innovation capability had a significant direct effect on adaptation to change. Lastly, innovation capability partially mediated the relationship of entrepreneurial self-efficacy and adaptation to change of micro, small and medium enterprises. Implications are discussed

Financial literacy is enhancing the nation\u27s financial progress and promoting economic growth. In light of these changes, it is crucial to evaluate if the latest generation, especially small and medium-sized firms (SMEs), considered the principal investors, drivers, and catalysts of the economy, has the necessary comprehension of financial principles. This research identified the area of financial literacy that strongly impacts the investment choices of SMEs in Davao City. The researchers used the descriptive-correlation approach to investigate the impact of financial literacy on the investment choices of SMEs. The study participants were owners, managers, accountants, or anyone having legal capacity to represent SMEs in select barangays in Davao City, totaling one hundred and seven (107) respondents. The data was gathered, analyzed, and interpreted using statistical techniques like mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation, and regression analysis. SME owners need enhanced financial literacy and improved investment decision-making capabilities. Cao-nalyzer: An Android-Based Mold Detection in Cacao Beans Using Faster R-CNN Algorithm

    No full text
Mold-infested cacao beans present a substantial hurdle for the cacao industry, affecting not only the quality of the beans but also the cocoa products derived from them. With this issue, the proponents of the study developed an application aimed to detect moldy cacao beans using Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Network algorithm for online mode and You Only Look Once version 8 for offline mode. After training the model, it resulted in a Mean Average Precision (mAP) of 83.96% in the Faster R-CNN algorithm and 98.16% in the YOLO algorithm. During the testing phase, the researchers conducted several tests such as Android Testing, Camera Resolution Testing, Ram Testing, Capture Distance Testing, Light Testing, Function Analysis Test, and Module Testing. The application then underwent refinements and enhancements based on their feedback

Ground Calibrate: An IoT-Based Soil Management System

    No full text
Not being able to know the status of the soil of the farm is a big factor in the farming industry, the levels of soil acidity and affects the yield of the crops, too low or too high acidity level can result in the death of the crops being planted in the farm, same thing applies to the soil moisture too much dryness and too much wetness in the soil can result on bad harvest for the farmers. With this problem, the proponents developed a system consisting of mobile application and IoT device named Ground Calibrate that aimed to detect soil pH level, and moisture of the soil and suggested suitable crops for the soil based on the soil pH level and suggest fertilizer using Flutter, and Arduino microcontroller. During the phase of testing the system, the proponents conducted several tests such as Mobile compatibility testing, RAM testing, Wi-Fi distance testing, Usability testing, and Module testing. Based on the results of alpha and beta testing, the users of the system were satisfied. The beneficiaries’ gathered feedback shows their expectations were met by the system

Non-experimental quantitative research, grounded on a descriptive-evaluative design, was used to describe the level of satisfaction on the student personnel services as well as assess if there are significant differences on students’ satisfaction in the eight areas under the student personnel services when grouped according to their profile. Independent sample t-test and one-way analysis of variance were the statistical tools used to address the research problems. Results revealed that the level of satisfaction of students towards the student personnel services is highly satisfactory in all areas. Furthermore, there was no significant difference on students’ satisfaction on the student personnel services, except for Learning and Information Center, when students are grouped according to age. There were significant differences on students’ satisfaction on the areas of student personnel services, except for the Clinic, when students are grouped according to sex. Lastly, there were no significant differences on the students’ satisfaction on the areas of student personnel services, except for the Records and Admission Center and Learning and Information Center, when students are grouped according to their program/department. An intervention plan in the form of service enhancement program was proposed based on the findings
