E-Platform for Purification of Islamic Thoughts: A Preliminary Study on The Needs Among UiTM Students
Full text linkThis study examines the needs of University Teknology MARA (UiTM) students for an e-platform to purify their thinking. Recognizing the increasing influence of negative thinking on the formation and personal development of students, this study aims to understand how such platforms can meet the spiritual and intellectual needs of Muslim students in the modern world. This study is a quantitative study. To achieve the objectives of the study, data collection and numerical data analysis are carried out. This study involved a total of 371 students at University UiTM Shah Alam from various faculties of study. The questionnaire was distributed using the Google Forms platform through a WhatsApp group with the lecturer. In this study, the questionnaire consisted of three (4) parts that were designed as research instruments, namely part A: respondents\u27 backgrounds, part B containing questions related to Islamic understanding and practice by UiTM students, part C containing questions related to UiTM students\u27 thoughts, and part D containing questions related to the need for an e-platform to purify Islamic thought. The choice of answer is to use a Likert scale of 1–5. The findings of the study found that students have a high level of understanding and practice of Islam, but their Islamic thinking is still at a moderate level. Therefore, the need to purify Islamic thought is very appropriate to overcome uncertainty and ambiguity as well as students\u27 confusion on issues related to Islamic thought

No full textSmartphones are part of the modern learning tools that play an important role in helping students during language learning, and are considered effective educational devices for learning the Arabic speaking skill. Studies have revealed that students find it difficult to practice speaking at school, at home, and in daily interactions with others. This study is aimed to identify the needs of Arabic language learners in designing the i-Kalam application for strengthening Arabic speaking skill among religious secondary school students. Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) theory were used as a basic model for the study. A survey method was utilized among 105 Form One students at Sekolah Menengah Agama Al-Madrasah Ad-Diniah Al-Alawiyah in Arau, Perlis. The data obtained were analyzed through descriptive statistics using the Statistical Packages for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The overall findings show a high need to design an application to strengthen the Arabic speaking skill. The students believe that using a smartphone application is able to increase their opportunities to practice speaking in Arabic.The results also indicate that the students love and enjoy learning the Arabic speaking skill using the smartphones application

Full text linkيعالج هذا البحث مسألة التعزير بالمال، من خلال أربعة مقامات، يتضمن المقام الأول، الكلام حول الجانب التفسيري البياني للمصطلح، مع مناقشة بصورة عامة لحكمه الفقهي، ثم التركيز في المقام الثاني على الجانب التعليلي المقاصدي للكشف عن مفاسد التعزير بالمال ومصالحه، من أجل إظهار أسس ومعايير الترجيح بينهما، ليصل البحث في المقام الثالث إلى بيان الجانب التوفيقي الترجيحي للتعازير المالية، ويختتم في المقام الرابع الحديث عن الجانب التنزيلي متمثلاً في ذكر صور تطبيقية معاصرة تظهر ثمرة الخلاف في التعزير بالمال. وقد انتهج الباحثُ في عرض أفكار هذا البحث، المنهج الاستقرائي التحليلي. وخلُص البحث إلى جواز التعزير بالمال لموافقته للقواعد العامة ورجحان تخصيص النصوص العامة بالمصلحة الشرعية، ورجحان مصالحه على مفاسده بالنظر إلى عموم كل منهما، مع ضرورة تقنين التعزيرات المالية في ظل ظهور كثير من النوازل الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والتقنية

Pronunciation of Hijaiyyah’s Letter for New Quranic Learners: A Contrastive Analysis Study

For many years, researchers have debated the impact of native languages on the articulation of the Arabic alphabet\u27s phonetic aspects. Since the Quran is written in Arabic, mastering the Makhraj of Hijaiyyah consonants is essential to produce clear sound and precise meaning when reading the Quran. This study aims to establish a Hijaiyyah consonant designation pattern based on the characteristics of articulation fluency, consonants, and phonetic nature of the Malay tongue for Quranic teaching and learning. Content analysis was used to develop a thematic approach to the pronunciation fluency of letters, categorized into three levels: easy, intermediate, and advanced. Integrative Concept of the Low-Carbon Cities with the Maqasid Syariah: A Review Analysis
Full text linkThe Low-Carbon Cities (LCC) strategy guides cities in their efforts to transition towards an environmentally friendly and sustainable future. Currently, there is insufficient research that directly combines the LCC and Maqasid Syariah. Maqasid Syariah encompasses the elevated aims and fundamental principles of Islamic law, encompassing the safeguarding of life, religion, intellect, progeny, and wealth. The objective of this study was to examine the integration of the LCC with the concept of Maqasid Syariah comprehensively. This study employs a systematic methodology that includes thorough literature searches and analyses. This study has identified several relevant topics that align with Maqasid Syariah, namely: (a) integration of LCC with Maqasid Syariah; (b) benefits of a holistic strategy; and (c) challenges and considerations in integrating the LCC with Maqasid Syariah. In conclusion, this study suggests a comprehensive approach that combines the LCC with the notion of Maqasid Syariah, offers significant advantages, and carries substantial significance. To fully explore the benefits and problems of combining the LCC and the idea of Maqasid Syariah, this study recommends conducting further research and fostering teamwork
Analisis Keperluan Aplikasi Tatabahasa Arab Asas Berasaskan Regulasi Kendiri Dalam Kalangan Pelajar Diploma UnIPSAS: [Analysis of Basic Arabic Grammar Application Needs Based on Self-Regulation Among UnIPSAS Diploma Students]
Full text linkIn the current era of globalization, the use of e-learning applications has become one of the preferred alternatives for students to understand languages. This learning approach involves the utilization of technology and electronic platforms in the teaching and learning process of languages. Arabic language is not exempt from this technological development. The influence of the 21st-century learning era and the fourth industrial revolution has transformed the overall learning process, including in the field of education. Arabic language learning has also undergone a transformation from classroom-based learning; now students also have the possibility to learn it independently through smartphones. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the needs and characteristics of basic Arabic grammar applications based on self-regulation among diploma students at UnIPSAS. This study employs a qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews involving respondents among Arabic language teachers at the higher education level. The interview results are then recorded and transcribed for thematic analysis purposes. The findings of this study further indicate respondents\u27 agreement to establish basic Arabic grammar applications among UnIPSAS students. The study also proposes suggestions for features that should be included in this smartphone application.

Dalam era globalisasi masa kini, penggunaan aplikasi e-pembelajaran telah menjadi salah satu alternatif yang diminati oleh pelajar untuk memahami bahasa. Pendekatan pembelajaran ini melibatkan pemanfaatan teknologi dan platform elektronik dalam proses mengajar serta pembelajaran bahasa. Bahasa Arab pun tidak terkecuali daripada perkembangan teknologi ini. Pengaruh dari zaman pembelajaran abad ke-21 dan revolusi industri 4.0 telah mengubah cara pembelajaran secara keseluruhan, termasuk dalam bidang pendidikan. Pembelajaran bahasa Arab pun telah mengalami transformasi dari pembelajaran di dalam kelas, kini pelajar juga memiliki kemungkinan untuk mempelajarinya secara mandiri melalui peranti telefon pintar. Justeru, kajian ini bertujuan menganalisis keperluan dan ciri-ciri aplikasi tatabahasa Arab asas berasaskan regulasi kendiri dalam kalangan pelajar diploma UnIPSAS. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan temu bual separa berstruktur melibatkan responden dalam kalangan pengajar bahasa Arab di peringkat pengajian tinggi. Hasil temu bual kemudian direkodkan dan dijadikan transkripsi untuk tujuan analisis tematik. Dapatan kajian ini seterusnya menunjukkan persetujuan responden memberikan persetujuan untuk diwujudkan aplikasi tatabahasa Arab asas dalam kalangan pelajar UnIPSAS. Kajian ini turut mengusulkan cadangan ciri-ciri yang perlu ada dalam aplikasi telefon pintar ini.
Addressing Challenges, Unleashing Potentials: Towards Achieving Impactful Islamic Social Finance
Full text linkThis study examines the domain of Islamic social finance within the framework of addressing prevalent challenges and harnessing potential for significant socio-economic impact. It lies in the acknowledged ability of Islamic social finance mechanisms - zakat, Islamic crowdfunding, Islamic microfinance and waqf - to address poverty and promote economic equality, yet the full realization of these benefits is impeded by numerous challenges. This study therefore identifies the primary issue as understanding these impediments and determining how to effectively navigate them for enhanced Islamic social finance impact. Its aim is to comprehensively analyze the issues, identify unexploited opportunities, and formulate recommendations for a robust and impactful Islamic social finance system. To this end, the study utilizes a library-based approach, conducting an extensive review of relevant literature, including academic articles, books, policy reports, and case studies. It is revealed that governance and regulatory challenges, socio-economic obstacles, and discrepancies in the application and understanding of Islamic social finance mechanisms are the primary hurdles. Potential solutions range from harmonizing regulatory standards, promoting transparency and accountability, to fostering economic empowerment and cross-border collaboration in the Muslim world. This study implies that addressing these challenges and harnessing Islamic social finance\u27s potential can lead to a more effective poverty alleviation strategy, contributing to wealth redistribution, social justice, and sustainable development in line with Islamic principles. This research, therefore, holds substantial implications for policymakers, regulators, and practitioners within the Islamic social finance ecosystem, and suggests the necessity of collaborative, informed efforts to unlock the transformative power of Islamic social finance
Comparison of Efficiency of Islamic Commercial Banks Using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) Method: Studies On Pt. Bank Mega Syariah Indonesia, Pt. Bank Central Asia Syariah And Pt. Bank Muamalat Indonesia
Full text linkThis article discusses the comparison of the efficiency of PT. Bank Mega Syariah Indonesia, PT. Bank Central Asia Syariah and PT. Bank Muamalat Indonesia in 2014-2021 using the data envelopment analysis (DEA) method. The efficiency will be tested using quantitative research using the DEA method which is interpreted as a non-parametric method based on a linear program used to compare efficiency. The DEA model used in this study is the Variable Return to Scale (VRS) model and is assisted by technical software with DEAP Version 2.1 software with Windows OS. The results of the test are (1) Bank Mega Syariah, BCA Syariah and BANK Muamalat are always in an efficient condition from 2014-2021. Overall, the efficiency performance achieved by the three banks above has included a projection summary of each input and output which consists of original input and output values, radial movement, slack movement, and projected value. If the value of the radial movement and slack movement is 0, 000, it means that each input or output variable is in an optimal and efficient stat

Full text linkIsu rasuah merupakan antara isu yang sering menjadi perbincangan di media massa. Hal ini kerana terdapat peningkatan terhadap statistik penerima rasuah di Malaysia sejak beberapa tahun kebelakangan ini. Melihat kepada peningkatan isu rasuah dalam kalangan masyarakat pada hari ini, integriti dilihat sebagai satu aspek yang penting untuk diberi penekanan. Namun begitu, nilai integriti ini dilihat sangat rendah untuk diaplikasikan dan kurang kesedarannya terhadap masyarakat sedangkan integriti merupakan sebahagian aspek yang disebut menurut Al-Quran dan Sunnah. Kajian kualitatif ini menggunakan kajian lepas dan kajian kepustakaan untuk melihat isu rasuah serta aspek integriti menurut Al-Quran dan Sunnah. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa terdapat hubungan yang jelas antara nilai integriti dengan isu rasuah yang semakin berleluasa. Integriti juga menjadi salah satu aspek yang ditekankan dalam Al-Quran dan Sunnah dalam melakukan sesuatu pekerjaan baik melibatkan sektor awam mahupun swasta. Kesimpulannya, integriti penting dalam membendung isu rasuah yang berlaku pada hari ini dan ia sangat ditekankan oleh agama Islam. Justeru menjadi satu perkara yang penting bagi masyarakat hari ini untuk menyedari akan kepentingan integriti dalam kehidupan bagi mengelakkan rasuah berleluasa.
Abstract
Corruption is currently one of the most frequently discussed topics in the news media. This is due to the fact that the number of Malaysians receiving bribes has increased over the past few years. Integrity is viewed as an essential aspect to emphasize in light of the escalating problem of corruption in modern society. However, the application of this integrity is viewed as having a very low value, and there is a lack of community awareness, despite the fact that integrity is one of the aspects mentioned in the Al-Quran and Sunnah. This qualitative study examines corruption issues and aspects of integrity based on the Quran and Sunnah through the lens of previous research and literature reviews. According to the study\u27s findings, there is a direct correlation between the importance of integrity and the growing problem of corruption. Integrity is also emphasized in the Al-Quran and Sunnah with regard to performing a job involving both the public and private sectors. Integrity is crucial for combating the issue of corruption that exists today, and the Islamic religion places a strong emphasis on it. In order to prevent pervasive corruption, it is crucial that today\u27s society be aware of the significance of integrity in everyday life
