    Faktor Penerimaan Masyarakat Felda Terhadap Zakat Penghasilan Sawit di Daerah Kuantan: [Acceptance Factor of The Felda Community Towards Zakat of Palm Production in Kuantan]

    The research explores the dynamics of zakat acceptance of palm oil production by the felda community in Kuantan district, an important topic for the Malaysian community. Zakat is one of the pillars of Islam being a religious duty that aims to purify wealth. The study focused on zakat obtained from palm oil production, an important source of income for Felda settlers. The study includes 115 Felda settlements in Pahang, particularly in the Kuantan district, where 3,604 settlers live on 11 planned lands. Zakat obtained from the production of palm oil, even though the price of palm oil has increased, still faces challenges in terms of collection compared to other zakat categories. The decrease in the number of payers and the amount paid in 2021 in the Kuantan district raises concerns about the implications for zakat collection of palm oil production. This research incorporates the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to analyze community acceptance. Hypothesis testing revealed unexpected results: attitude had a significant effect on acceptance, and the relationship between attitude and acceptance was insignificant. However, other factors represented by behavioral control, strongly influence acceptance. The findings underscore the complexity of factors that influence zakat acceptance in felda communities. Although one hypothesis was not supported, the unexpected results highlight the need for a sustained understanding of environmental influences and other influencing factors. This study proposes a tailored intervention that addresses the identified factors for effective improvement in zakat acceptance in the community. Further qualitative research is proposed to investigate community perspectives, ensuring a comprehensive approach to increase acceptance. ABSTRAK Penyelidikan itu meneroka dinamik penerimaan zakat pengeluaran kelapa sawit masyarakat felda di daerah Kuantan, satu topik penting kepada masyarakat Malaysia. Zakat merupakan antara rukun Islam menjadi suatu kewajipan agama yang bertujuan untuk menyucikan harta. Kajian tertumpu kepada zakat yang diperoleh daripada penghasilan kelapa sawit, sumber pendapatan penting bagi peneroka Felda. Kajian itu merangkumi 115 penempatan Felda di Pahang, khususnya di daerah Kuantan, di mana 3,604 peneroka di 11 tanah rancangan. Zakat yang diperoleh daripada penghasilan kelapa sawit, walaupun harga kelapa sawit meningkat, namun menghadapi cabaran dari segi kutipan berbanding kategori zakat lain. Penurunan jumlah pembayar dan jumlah yang dibayar pada 2021 di daerah Kuantan menimbulkan kebimbangan tentang implikasi terhadap kutipan zakat penghasilan kelapa sawit. Penyelidikan ini menggabungkan Teori Tingkah Laku Terancang (TPB) untuk menganalisis penerimaan masyarakat. Pengujian hipotesis mendedahkan keputusan yang tidak dijangka: sikap memberi kesan ketara kepada penerimaan, dan hubungan antara sikap dan penerimaan adalah tidak penting. Walau bagaimanapun, faktor lain yang diwakili oleh kawalan tingkahlaku, sangat mempengaruhi penerimaan. Penemuan itu menggariskan kerumitan faktor yang mempengaruhi penerimaan zakat dalam komuniti felda. Walaupun ada satu hipotesis tidak disokong, keputusan yang tidak dijangka menyerlahkan keperluan untuk pemahaman yang mampan tentang pengaruh persekitaran dan faktor lain yang mempengaruhi. Kajian ini mencadangkan intervensi yang disesuaikan yang menangani faktor-faktor yang dikenal pasti untuk penambahbaikan yang berkesan dalam penerimaan zakat dalam masyarakat.     Western scholars such as Goleman, Salovey, Mayer, Edward, Bar-On, and others have authored numerous books on emotional intelligence. However, they approached the subject through the lens of their own religions and philosophies, largely overlooking the unique Qurʾānic contribution in this regard. Similarly, Eastern educational psychologists have followed in their footsteps, without attempting to align this subject with Qurʾānic principles. Such alignment could have facilitated a deeper understanding of Qurʾānic teachings on self-management, interacting with the surrounding environment, and dealing with the universe in a sound and stable manner. Furthermore, it could have promoted the development of emotional intelligence skills based on instructions and role models found in the Noble Qurʾān. In light of these considerations, this research aims to establish a clear concept of emotional intelligence, explore its domains, and define its skills within a comprehensive Qurʾānic framework, utilizing an inductive-analytical and deductive approach. Key findings include: (1) Emotional intelligence is the active positive sentiment in this life; towards the Creator, oneself, others, the Earth entrusted to us, and the universe; (2) Emotional intelligence domains are categorized into five categories: Religious, Psychological, Social, Environmental, and Divine Laws; (3) Forty emotional intelligence skills have been identified, inspired by Qurʾānic verses. Finally, it suggests further studies to integrate emotional intelligence within its Quranic context, enriching understanding and application across various facets of life. قام علماء النّفس التّربوي الغربيّين مثل جولمان، وسالوفي، وماير، وإدوارد، وبار اون، وغيرهم بتأليف العديد من الكتب حول الذّكاء العاطفي، والواقع أنّهم تناولوا الموضوع كما ارتأته أديانهم وفلسفاتهم، متجاهلين إلى حدّ كبير الإضافة القرآنية الفريدة في هذا الباب، وبالمثل، سار علماء النّفس التربوي الشّرقيّين على خطاهم، دون محاولة مواءمة هذا الموضوع مع المبادئ القرآنية، والذي كان من الممكن أن يفتح المجال لفهم أعمق للتّوجيهات القرآنيّة بشأن إدارة الذّات، والتّفاعل مع البيئة المحيطة، والتّعامل مع الكون بطريقة سليمة ومستقرّة. علاوة على ذلك، كان من المكن أن يعزّز ذلك تنمية مهارات الذّكاء العاطفي بناء على التّعليمات والنّماذج الموجودة في القرآن الكريم. وفي ضوء هذه الاعتبارات؛ هدف هذا البحث إلى ترسيخ مفهوم واضح للذّكاء العاطفي، واستشكاف مجالاته، وتحديد مهاراته ضمن الإطار القرآني الشّامل. موظّفًا المنهج الاستقرائي التّحليلي، ثم الاستنباطي. وقد أسفرت الدّراسة عن النتائج الرّئيسة الآتية: (1) الذّكاء العاطفي هو الشّعورية الإيجابية الفاعلة في هذه الحياة؛ تجاه الخالق، والنّفس، والآخرين، والأرض المستخلَفين فيها، والكون؛ (2) تصنيف مجالات الذّكاء العاطفي إلى خمس فئات، هي: المجال الدّيني، والنّفسي، والاجتماعي، والبيئي، والسّنني؛ (3) التّعرّف على أربعين مهارة من مهارات الذّكاء العاطفي مستوحاة من الآيات القرآنية. وأخيرًا، يُقترَحُ إجراء مزيد من الدّراسات لدمج الذّكاء العاطفي في سياقه القرآني، مما يثري الفهم والتّطبيق في مختلف جوانب الحياة

    The Scientific Approach to Divine Parables on Creation (SADPC):: Insights into Educational Research Methods, Entrepreneurial Innovations, and Intellectual Developments

    The primary goal of this research is to introduce instances of a scientific approach to divine parables on creation SADPC as insights into empirical research, entrepreneurial, and intellectual development. The research also examines the relationship between divine parables’ engagement and cognitive science enhancement for the selected case samples of university students in Uganda and Malaysia. The deductive and descriptive correlational analyses were used. On the one hand, the deductive approach used the selected Qur’anic parables as benchmarks for methods, procedures, analyses, and SADPC generalizations. On another hand, the descriptive correlational methods were used to analyze the perceived relationship between divine parables’ engagement and cognitive science enhancement using the two samples’ statistics in question. The deductive findings demonstrated the novelty, comprehensiveness, and relevance of the divine parables’ insights into human scientific cognition. The correlational analyses yielded the rejection of (H0) and installed a (Ha) that there is a significant relationship between divine parables’ engagement and cognitive science enhancement for the selected samples. This research introduced both the Islamic intellectual development model (IIDM) and the Islamic entrepreneurial planning model (IEPM) using SADPC. The SADPC significantly demonstrated an insight into empirical research, entrepreneurial, and intellectual development outlook for future Islamic science research

    Navigating The Implications for Heirs: An Analysis of The Amendment to The Small Estate Act (Distribution) 1955

    This research aimed to acquire a deeper understanding of the latest amendment of the Small Estates (Distribution) Act 1955 and its implications faced by the heirs. The methodology involves analyzing documents, such as the Small Estates (Distribution) (Amendment) Act 2022 as well as secondary sources, including journal articles, conference proceedings, newspaper clippings, and websites. Content analysis was used to analyze the data, capturing the insights and extensive knowledge on this area. The study highlights nine significant updates resulting from the amendment. These include expanding the jurisdiction to streamline estate administration, optimizing the existing estate administration system, offering more options and mechanisms for citizens when submitting petitions, and incorporating electronic systems for petition submissions. The limitation of this study is the potential constraint in accessing relevant literature on the specific topic, particularly if it is a niche and emerging subject. To overcome this limitation and gather more comprehensive information, alternative techniques, such as interviews could be explored. Few studies have examined the impact of the recent amendment of the Small Estates (Distribution) Act 1955.     The remnant of medieval Christian perspectives on Prophet Muhammad: A critical evaluation of William Muir’s epileptic theory

    The rise and growth of Islam have been perceived as a major threat to Christianity. Because of its great growth, Christians became very discouraged. This prompted them to look for any and all means to eradicate it. During the medieval period, Islam faced many intellectual and military attacks. One of the methods used is to create false theories that portray the Prophethood of Muhammad (saw) negatively. The most preposterous theory was the “epileptic theory” that sought to accuse him of epilepsy. Despite numerous attempts by Muslim scholars and some less biased Christian scholars to remove this idea from the scene, it still has relevance even in the writings of some of the most learned contemporary Christian scholars. In light of the fact that William Muir is one of the most knowledgeable and Contemporary Christian scholars, this study makes an effort to analyze and evaluate his views on this theory. In order to accomplish this, analytical, comparative and evaluative approaches were used in this process. According to the findings of the investigation, Muir’s claim that the Prophet (saw) suffered from epilepsy was not grounded in reality. If it is claimed that the experiences of the Prophet (saw) were attributed to epilepsy, it follows that the prophets of the Bible would be subject to the same accusation as well, as they shared similar physical experiences with the Prophet (saw)

    Islamic Foundations of Sustainable Employee Behavior: Evidence From The Noble Quranic Verses And Hadith

    Islam is a comprehensive religion, and the need for its teachings increases with the increase in human problems. In this era, the need for organizations to face the challenge of sustainability increases, seeking to enable the behavior of employees to become a sustainable behavior that contributes to its sustainability. This research aims to explore the Islamic foundations in the sustainable behavior of employees. The literature attached the sustainability of behavior with environmental, psychological, and spiritual but did not relate them to the Islamic foundations that emphasize fixed pillars for establishing sustainable behavior. In this study, we follow the descriptive-analytical approach and explore these pillars through the noble Quranic verses and the authentic Hadiths. The study suggests that the establishment of sustainable behavior is based on a tripartite link between Islamic behavior in the working environment, behavior in the personal surroundings, and behavioral training. So that it creates a homogeneity of the individual\u27s behavior, and where the same behavior is required of him is the same in the workplace and the personal surroundings, so the focus is on avoiding hypocrisy and affirming truthfulness and Reinforcing and directing behavior through training in this behavior to ensure its steadiness and sustainability. We aspire to make a systematic change in behavior management for sustainability, and this research paper contributes to developing the behavioral view of employees and addressing their problems for sustainable behavior

    Dates and Barley Antioxidant Staple Foods In The Makkan Society Diet (609-622 A.D.)

    This study delves into the dietary practices of Makkan society between 609 and 622 A.D., focusing on the consumption of dates and barley as antioxidant staple foods. During this period, the Prophet Muhammad PBUH lived in Makkah and interacted with the local community.  In recent times, the Makkan and global society underwent a transformation from a traditional wholesome healthy diet into a less healthy impoverished diet. Employing qualitative content analysis, this investigation sheds light on the significance of a balanced diet as an ideal dietary model for diverse cultures worldwide. Thematic analysis of data collected through content and document examination reveals that dates and barley held prominent positions among the staple foods in Makkah, with Quranic verses highlighting their multifaceted importance. The study’s implications confirm the presence of valuable antioxidant compounds in the staple foods of Makkan society. Consequently, the regular inclusion of dates and barley in daily diets is recommended, not only for their exquisite taste but also for the numerous health benefits they offer. By revisiting the dietary choices of historical civilizations, we can glean valuable insights for promoting healthier eating habits in contemporary societies, fostering well-being and vitality for all

    Developing Virtual Reality (VR) Technology in Learning Arabic Grammar: An Insight on Needs Analysis for Arabic-VR Application

    The learning of Arabic grammar – which uses textbooks with lengthy details can be translated into creative and innovative forms through the application of technological advancement. Meanwhile, learning techniques have been developing tremendously and continuously in this modern technological era. Worldwide educators from diverse backgrounds and cultures are well equipped with the recent teaching methods and tools widely used and accessible, guiding and nurturing the students in a productive and interactive classroom learning environment. Nowadays, significant studies have indicated that Virtual Reality (VR) technology is one of the many technological applications for facilitating learning. It is an emerging technology mediating a rapid transformation in the educational world. However, there is still limited study about teaching and learning a foreign language i.e. Arabic language by using this VR technology in Malaysia. The use of this technology has been less explored, particularly from the perspective of students at the university level. Therefore, this present study aims to gather students’ perspectives about their needs on form – hence, developing the Arabic-VR Application using VR technology in learning Arabic grammar. Generally, this study employed the Design and Development Research (DDR) methodology and approaches, and specifically it involved and only focused on the first phase of DDR i.e. needs analysis phase where this phase used a questionnaire on the use of the Arabic-VR Application, issues regarding students’ motivation of learning the Arabic language, students’ knowledge and needs of using the application in learning Arabic grammar, the interface and features of the application in learning Arabic grammar as well as the level of acceptance of the idea of the development of the application using VR technology in learning Arabic grammar among KUIPs students. The questionnaires were distributed conveniently to 150 students from various programs, who took a subject entitled Arabic Language (subject code: DTU 2022) at the Centre for Languages and General Studies, KUIPs in semester 1, session 2023/2024 of the academic calendar. Quantitative data was then analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) application to retrieve frequency distribution, percentages, mean, and standard deviations. Findings revealed a high need to develop the Arabic-VR application for learning Arabic grammar. There is a positive response to adopting technological tools i.e. VR technology for language learning as it was positively perceived to increase students’ motivation toward learning Arabic grammar

    Dimensi Falsafah Sains Islam: Konseptualisasi Berdasarkan Islām, Īmān dan Iḥsān: [The Dimension of Islamic Philosophy of Science: A Conceptualisation Based on Islām, Īmān dan Iḥsān]

    The philosophy of science represents a second-order philosophical analysis of the field of science in general. Science is typically regarded as a generic domain for all forms of empirical knowledge, which undoubtedly originates from a particular worldview or paradigm. The Islamic worldview is constructed upon three fundamental principles: islām, īmān, and iḥsān. These three principles serve as the rubric for “Islam” in any field. Therefore, this paper aims to reconceptualize the dimensions of the Islamic philosophy of science based on these three pillars of Islam. Through content analysis of textual data collected from specific documents, this paper finds justification for the discussion of the three aspects—islām, īmān, and iḥsān—within the branches of philosophy: metaphysics, guided by sunnatu’Llāh (the law of God), forming “islāmic” science; epistemology, based on āyātu’Llāh (the sign of God), forming “salīmic” science; and ethics, founded on akhlāqu’Llāh (the attributes of God), forming “salāmic” science. This unique unity of worldview can serve as a foundation for further expanding the horizons of Islamic philosophy of science, which seeks to be developed in a contemporary world that also competes with various scientific paradigms. ABSTRAK Falsafah sains merupakan analisis falsafah tertib kedua (second-order philosophical analysis) terhadap bidang sains secara umumnya. Sains lazimnya dianggap sebagai suatu bidang yang generik bagi semua bentuk ilmu pengetahuan empiris yang pastinya berpunca daripada satu-satu pandangan alam atau paradigma tertentu. Oleh sebab pandangan alam Islam terbina daripada tiga asas utama yang menjadi rubrik kepada “Islam” iaitu islām, īmān dan iḥsān, maka makalah ini bertujuan mengkonseptualisasikan semula dimensi falsafah sains Islam dari tiga aspek tunjang dalam agama Islam. Berdasarkan kaedah analisis kandungan terhadap data berbentuk teks yang dikumpulkan daripada dokumen tertentu, makalah ini menemui ketiga-tiga aspek islām, īmān dan iḥsān berharmoni dengan wacana dalam cabang ilmu falsafah: metafizik yang berpandukan sunnatu’Llāh membentuk sains islām, epistemologi yang berasaskan āyātu’Llāh membentuk sains salīm dan etika yang berdasarkan akhlāqu’Llāh membentuk sains salām. Kesatuan pandangan alam yang unik ini dapat menjadi batu asas untuk meluaskan lagi ufuk falsafah sains Islam yang ingin dibina dalam dunia kontemporari yang turut bersaing dengan pelbagai paradigma sains

    Tahap Penerimaan Guru Pendidikan Islam (GPI) Terhadap Kaedah Iqra’ : Satu Sorotan Kajian Terdahulu: [The Acceptance Level of Islamic Education Teachers (IET) Towards the Iqra’ Method: A Review of Previous Studies]

    This study aims to evaluate the level of acceptance of Islamic education teachers towards the teaching method of the Qur\u27an, particularly through the Iqra\u27 approach. Involving the analysis of factors such as knowledge, attitudes, environmental influences, teaching strategies, and teacher readiness, this study highlights critical findings that provide deep insight into the dynamics of teaching the Qur\u27an among Islamic education teachers in Malaysia. In evaluating teachers\u27 knowledge, the study found a good understanding of the objectives and teaching strategies of the Iqra\u27 method, although there is still a need to improve the quality of teacher education. The teacher\u27s attitude was rated as moderate, with some teachers showing a lack of emphasis on certain aspects such as the pronunciation of makhraj and fasah. Environmental influences, including workload and stress, play an important role in teaching effectiveness. Here, an emphasis on workload anagement and the development of teacher professionalism is needed. In the teaching strategy dimension, the findings highlight the need for an increase in the use of technology, a variety of learning approaches, and more effective strategies to ensure better learning. The willingness and motivation of teachers towards the Iqra\u27 method is highly valued, although there needs to be an increase in the use of teaching aids and the preparation of daily lesson plans. By detailing and analyzing these factors, this study outlines strategic steps to increase the level of teacher acceptance of the Iqra\u27 method. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide a significant contribution in improving the quality of Quran teaching among Islamic education teachers and strengthen the learning approach in the Malaysian education system. ABSTRAK Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menilai tahap penerimaan guru pendidikan Islam terhadap kaedah pengajaran al-Quran, khususnya melalui pendekatan Iqra\u27. Ia melibatkan analisis faktor-faktor seperti pengetahuan, sikap, pengaruh persekitaran, strategi pengajaran, dan kesediaan guru. Kajian ini menyoroti temuan kritis yang memberikan wawasan mendalam ke dalam dinamika pengajaran al-Quran di kalangan guru-guru pendidikan Islam di Malaysia. Dalam menilai pengetahuan guru, kajian mendapati pemahaman yang baik terhadap objektif dan strategi pengajaran kaedah Iqra\u27, meskipun masih terdapat keperluan untuk peningkatan kualiti pendidikan guru. Sikap guru dinilai sebagai sederhana, dengan beberapa guru menunjukkan kekurangan penekanan pada aspek tertentu seperti sebutan makhraj dan fasahah. Pengaruh persekitaran dan beban tugas serta tekanan tempat kerja, memainkan peranan penting dalam keberkesanan pengajaran. Di sini, penekanan pada pengurusan beban tugas dan pembangunan profesionalisme guru diperlukan. Dalam dimensi strategi pengajaran, temuan menyoroti perlunya peningkatan dalam penggunaan teknologi, variasi pendekatan pembelajaran dan strategi yang lebih efektif untuk memastikan pembelajaran yang lebih baik. Kesediaan dan motivasi guru terhadap kaedah Iqra\u27 dinilai tinggi, meskipun berlaku peningkatan dalam penggunaan bahan bantu mengajar dan penyediaan rancangan pengajaran harian. Dengan merinci dan menganalisis faktor-faktor ini, kajian ini menggariskan langkah-langkah strategik untuk meningkatkan tahap penerimaan guru terhadap kaedah Iqra\u27. Diharapkan hasil kajian ini dapat memberikan sumbangan yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualiti pengajaran al-Quran di kalangan guru pendidikan Islam dan memperkuat pendekatan pembelajaran dalam sistem pendidikan Malaysia
