Model Dakwah : Satu Analisis Teoritikal: [ Dakwah Model: A Theoritical Analysis ]
This article is based on library research concerning the theory related to ‘the model of da’wah’. The term ‘model da’wah’ here refers to example or form of da’wah which is expected to act as a framework in the context of da’wah implementation so as the process of da’wah delivery can work efficiently and effectively. This article tries to analyse several ‘theoretical da’wah model’ namely da’wah fardiyah model, da’wah fi’ah model, educational da\u27wah model, model dakwah bicthah, model dakwah korespondensi, model dakwah islahiyyah, model dakwah organisasi, general da\u27wah model and integrated da\u27wah model. These models of da’wah have their own characteristics.
Abstrak
Artikel ini merupakan hasil kajian kepustakaan berkenaan dengan teori yang berhubungkait dengan “model dakwah”. Istilah “model dakwah” yang dimaksudkan di sini adalah contoh atau bentuk dakwah yang diharapkan boleh menjadi acuan dalam konteks pelaksanaan dakwah agar proses ‘delivery’ dakwah berjalan dengan efisien dan efektif. Artikel ini cuba menganalisis beberapa “model dakwah teoritikal” iaitu model dakwah fardiyah, model dakwah fi’ah, model dakwah pendidikan, model dakwah bicath, model dakwah korespondensi, model dakwah islahiyah, model dakwah organisasi, model dakwah umum dan model dakwah bersepadu. حركة عين مضارع الفعل الثلاثي المجرد الصحيح السالم والمهموز على وزن فعَل: دراسة إحصائية تحليلية في المعجم الوسيط: [The Vowel of Middle Figure of Triliteral Non-Affix Present Tense Verb of The Fa-‘A-La Form : A Statistical Analytical Study on Al-Wasit Dictionary]
هذا البحث يتناول قضية حركة عين مضارع الفعل الثلاثي المجرد الصحيح السالم والمهموز على وزن "فعَل" مفتوح العين. فهو يتحدث عن بعض النظريات القديمة التي ظهرت في محاولة ضبط عين مضارع ذلك الفعل. والمصدر الذي يعتمد عليه الباحث في جمع مادته هو "المعجم الوسيط" وهو معجم حديث موثوق به رغبةً في دراسة اللغة العربية الحديثة والعصرية. وقام الباحث بإحصاء الأفعال الثلاثية المجردة الصحيحة السالمة والمهموزة على وزن "فعَل" في المعجم المدروس، وصنفها حسب عينها للنظر إلى كل حرف يقع عينا للفعل ولتحديد ميله نحو إحدى الحركات الفتحة أو الكسرة أو الضمة عند وقوعه عينا للفعل مع كل حرف يقع لاما له. وقد أكّد الباحث على صحة بعض النظريات الصرفية القديمة التي لا ينبغي لنا غض البصر عنها في تعليم الصرف خصوصا للناطقين بغيرها، واستطاع أيضا بالإحصاء أن يحدد ميل كل حرف يقع عينا للفعل نحو إحدى الحركتين لغير حلقيّ العين أو اللام. وبناء على هذا، اقترح الباحث بعض القواعد لضبط عين مضارع الفعل الثلاثي المجرد الصحيح السالم والمهموز على وزن "فعَل" تقريبا وتيسيرا للمتعلمين والمتكلمين باللغة العربية.This article studies the middle figure’s vowel of non-affix trilateral verb in its present tense form from one chapter only which is “fa’ala”. It exposes and discusses the views of ancient grammarians and new and contemporary linguists regarding the issue. It also tests some ancient theories which arose in attempt to determine the vowel of the figure. The source of verbs that the researcher depends on in his study is “Mu’jam al-Wasit”, a trusted modern dictionary, to match his interest in studying the contemporary Arabic Language. The researcher has statistically counted those verbs from the respected dictionary and categorized them according to their middle figure to look at every figure that occupies that middle position, and to determine its tendency toward any of three vowels (fathah or kasrah or dhammah) when located together with other figure after him. The researcher also has proven and recognized some of ancient theories which should not be neglected in teaching morphology particularly to non-native speaker of Arabic, and was able to determine the tendency of every figure that occupies the middle position toward any of the two vowels for those which their middle figure is not throat’s letter. Based on that, he suggested some morphological bases to determine the vowel of that middle figure
Istitabah Model for Malaysia: A Preliminary Exposition
Increasing number of apostasy cases in Malaysia by year have been reported by many authorities. In this sense, istitabah (الاستتابة), literally means asking or calling for repentance (التوبة), has to be enforced as a national educational and rehabilitation measure. The application of istitabah is considered as obligatory (واجب) and supererogatory (مندوب) by the majority of scholars of Ahl Al-Sunnah Wa Al-Jamaah. This article aims to highlight some findings on the model and approaches of istitabah within the climate of Malaysian religious administration and societal needs. Through the use of qualitative research strategies, it was found that there were only glimpses of istitabah exposition in the classical and modern texts of Islamic scholarship. This has called for present ijtihad to fill in the gaps towards a living practice of istitabah. This article will elucidate a preliminary exposition of M-Istitabah (Malaysia Istitabah), which will become a model for Malaysian Istitabah that applies integrated approach of the principle understanding of akidah, shariah, da’wah, comparative religion and crisis intervention towards rehabilitation of apostasy crimes in Malaysia
Students’ Perception Towards The Management of Islamic Business and Economics Undergraduate Programs in Malaysian Public Universities: An Exploratory Study
Program management in Islamic-based Higher Education Providers (HEPs) is designed to produce an outstanding human capital, which is at last can serve their obedience to Allah SWT, ummah and the environment. These are among the main aims of Islamic-based HEP, which are aligned with the university vision and mission. The ability to produce excellent Muslim generations is closely influenced by curriculum and co-curriculum design, teaching and learning methods as well as lecturers’ knowledge. Despites the demand on various new teaching and learning methods (such as students centered learning - SCL) the viewpoint of students’ satisfaction should also been considered. It is important to look at this perspective since they are the main explicit stakeholders and directly exposed to various teaching and learning experiences. This paper aims to explore on the perception of final year students from business and economic programs in two aspects; (i) curriculum and (ii) co-curriculum practices. This study takes the sample from two Islamic-based higher education institutions that implement Islamic education. The method of this study is the adapted Profile Accumulation Technique (PAT) introduced by Johns and Lee-Ross to capture an in-depth information. Generally, this study shows that there are positive responds on teaching methods, academic integrity and benefits of curricular activities in HEPs
Penggunaan Unsur Tumbuh-Tumbuhan Dalam Gaya Bahasa Al-Tasybih di Dalam Al-Quran Al-Karim: [ The Use of Plant’s Element in al-Tasybih Style in The Al-Quran Al-Karim ]
Plants are elements that are frequently mentioned in the al-Quran. In the al-Quran, the use of plant elements can be visualized from various language styles and one of them is the al-Tasybih style. Al-Tasybih style is one of the metaphor and simile used in the al-Quran to deliver the message to the people. In addition, al-Tasybih also displays the beauty and refinement of al-Quran and found to be one of the miracle in al-Quran. Some of the information contained in the al-Quran deals with the description of the unseen things that cannot be reached by the human mind. The al-Tasybih style helps to overcome the limitation of the human brain to interpret and perfectly understand the information presented in the al-Quran. This was done by establishing a relationship between the unseen elements discussed in al-Quran with real human nature. The focus of this research is to study discourse analysis and al-Balaghat al-‘Arabiyyat on plant elements using the al-Tasybih style in al-Quran. The data was collected qualitatively using two different methods, the historical method and the documentary method. Both methods are carried out using two different approaches, the library research. Al-Tasybih style is anticipated to give a clear understanding of the al-Quran content and prove that the al-Quran is a divine revelation from Allah SWT and not a mere creation by Prophet Muhammad SAW.
Abstrak
Tumbuh-tumbuhan adalah antara unsur yang banyak terdapat dalam al-Quran. Penggunaan unsur tumbuh-tumbuhan ini dapat dilihat dalam pelbagai jenis gaya bahasa dalam al-Quran seperti dalam gaya bahasa al-Tasybih. Gaya bahasa al-Tasybih adalah salah satu bentuk gaya bahasa metafora dan simile yang digunakan dalam al-Quran dalam menyampaikan mesej kepada manusia di samping memaparkan keindahan dan kehalusan yang terdapat dalam gaya bahasa al-Quran. Ia adalah salah satu al-‘I’jaz al-Lughawiy yang terdapat dalam bahasa al-Quran. Maklumat dalam al-Quran ada di antaranya yang membincangkan tentang perihalan perkara-perkara ghaib yang tidak dapat dijangkau oleh akal fikiran manusia. Akal manusia yang terhad memerlukan kepada sesuatu yang dapat menjelaskan secara lengkap dan sempurna bagi untuk memahami setiap maklumat yang disampaikan dalam al-Quran. Penggunaan gaya bahasa al-Tasybih dalam al-Quran antara lain adalah untuk mewujudkan satu hubungan antara perkara ghaib yang dibincangkan dalam al-Quran yang bersifat samar-samar dengan perkara maujud yang terdapat dalam kehidupan manusia yang bersifat nyata. Fokus perbincangan kajian ini adalah dalam bidang analisis wacana dan al-balaghat al-‘Arabiyyat yang berkisarkan kepada penggunaan unsur tumbuh-tumbuhan dalam gaya bahasa al-Tasybih dalam al-Quran. Kajian ini menggunakan metode historis dan metode dokumentari yang mengaplikasikan kaedah pengumpulan data secara kualitatif. Kedua-dua metodologi ini mempraktikkan kaedah kajian perpustakaan. Gaya bahasa al-Tasybih ini juga secara tidak langsung dapat membantu untuk memberi kefahaman yang jelas tentang isi kandungan al-Quran di samping dapat membuktikan bahawa al-Quran adalah wahyu dari Allah SWT dan bukannya ciptaan Nabi Muhammad SAW
Variations of Word Usage in Arabic Media: A Study of Arabic Newspapers
The main idea behind practising Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) is to standardise the use of the Arabic language in all Arab countries, especially in official communication, be it written or spoken. This is due to their belief that language is one of the important elements contributing to their unity and sense of brotherhood as they are separated by different legitimate territories. This effort has more or less succeeded in uniting them in certain aspects. In reality, however, the writer has found that the practice has yet to ensure the standardisation of the Arabic language, particularly in terms of word usage style among countries. Taking news articles as data, this paper aims to highlight the differences that occur in word usage in seven Arabic newspapers from different countries, with a corpus of around 85,000 words from the World Affairs section. The analysis also includes articles published in two Arabic newspapers from non-Arab countries in order to relate to the role of geography in creating word usage style in publishing. The Wordsmith 5.0 computer programme was applied to the corpus by extracting all words into frequency lists and concordance. The results show that the Arabic newspapers contributed greatly to the creation of word usage variations, specifically in terms of spelling, loan word acceptance, verb transitivity to particle, phrase combination and plural formation
Synergyzing Tertiary Education Islamic Studies Curriculum for A Sustainable Tomorrow
Islamic Studies is a subject taught at all the levels of formal education today without prejudice to religious background, belief inclinations or geographical boundries. Its study concentrates on the teaching of some subjects like religious studies in addition to other secular subjects like Languages, Law, Mathematics, Science, History, Philosophy etc. This subject has religious and secular topics in its curriculum content. However in the recent times, the number of students studying this subject in the universities has contniued to decrease across the globe and particularly in Nigeria. This decrease has been a sort of concern to teachers teaching the subject, concerned Muslims and Islamic lecturers in the universities whose jobs are being threatened for lack of students to enroll for the subject in the universities. This study therefore attempted to look into the reasons why students do no longer wish to study the subject in the universities. It was observed that students these days would want to study a course which would gaurantee them future job security and incomes. This study confirmed that Islamic Studies might not be able to guarantee this presently because of the content of the curriculum in use. The study concentrated on lecturers who had been in service for over a decade and analysis of the findings further confirmed that the present curriculum of Islamic Studies needed to be synergized to accommodate practical oriented skills, computer appreciation and Islamic financial courses to make Islamic Studies adequate and worthwhile for study to sustain its tomorrow’s future. This would make the subject more attractive and enable the students acquire practical skills which would make them function more effectively in the society without jeopardising their religious beliefs and practices

ln contemporary debate, the integration between lslam and science becomes one of the main concerns among Muslim thinkers. Efikasi Kendiri Guru Pendidikan Islam Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Malaysia: [Differences of Islamic Education Teachers Quality at Secondary School Based on Selected Demographic Factors]
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau tahap efikasi kendiri (EK) guru Pendidikan Islam (GPI) sekolah menengah kebangsaan di Semenanjung Malaysia. Kajian perbezaan berdasarkan beberapa faktor demografi terpilih seperti jantina dan lokasi sekolah turut dijalankan. Kajian korelasi juga dijalankan bagi menilai hubungan antara EK GPI dengan tempoh pengalaman mengajar. Kajian ini adalah berbentuk tinjauan yang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan soal selidik merupakan instrumen utama kajian. Teknik pensampelan kelompok atas kelompok digunakan bagi menentukan sampel kajian. Saiz sampel yang terlibat dalam kajian ini adalah seramai 544 orang GPI yang mewakili populasi seramai 8562 orang GPI di SMK semenanjung Malaysia. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan EK GPI berada pada tahap sangat tinggi (min=4.32). Analisis ANOVA dua hala pula menunjukkan tiadanya perbezaan EK GPI terhadap faktor persekitaran berdasarkan jantina. Analisis Pearson pula menunjukkan terdapatnya korelasi yang lemah dan positif antara tempoh pengalaman mengajar dengan EK (r=0.098). Kajian ini dilihat memberi implikasi kepada polisi dan amalan pengajaran GPI.This study was designed to examine self-efficacy (SE) teachers of Islamic Studies (TIS) in national secondary schools in Peninsular Malaysia. A research on the differences of SE based on a number of demographic factors was also carried out. The study also aimed to assess the relationship between teaching experiences with SE. This study used a quantitative approach and the questionnaire was the main instrument. Multi stage cluster sampling technique was used to determine the sample. The sample size involved in this research were 544 TIS representing a population of 8562 TIS national secondary school in Peninsular Malaysia. The results showed that SE of TIS were very high (min=4.32). Two Ways ANOVA analysis showed there was no difference in the SE of TIS based on gender and school location. Pearson analysis showed that there were weak and positive correlations between teaching experience with SE (r=0.098). In addition, this study has also seen to have implications for the policy and practice of teaching among TIS
Investigating The Relationship Between Level of Income, Method of Contribution and Appointment of Islamic Waqf Bank as an Agent in Collecting Waqf Fund
Cash waqf is a trust fund established in cash for mankind’s benefits in the name of Allah. The gifted capital was “transferred” to borrowers for certain period, which was then spent for all sorts of pious and social purposes including for the investment objectives. It is recognized that there is no ample study in the area of cash waqf especially for managing the waqf fund. Therefore, the research on the management of cash waqf fund is essential in order for the fund to be used efficiently. The objective of this article is to investigate the relationship between level of income and contribution method of cash waqf fund in Islamic waqf bank as well as the appointment of Islamic waqf bank as an agent in collecting the fund. This research employs quantitative analysis on 231 respondents among Muslim public in this country. The finding of this article shows that, with the proper contribution method and the appointment of Islamic waqf bank an agent in collecting the cash waqf fund, there is a strong tendency that the Islamic waqf bank’s operation will be run effectively
