Pelaksanaan Kaizen Dalam Meningkatkan Kecemerlangan Organisasi: [Kaizen Implementation in Improving Organizational Excellence]
No full textKajian kecemerlangan organisasi menerusi kebanyakan sorotan kepustakaan memaparkan perkembangan yang memerlukan penyelidikan lanjutan. Walau pun tajuk kecemerlangan organisasi banyak diperbincangkan oleh penyelidik terutama dalam mengguna pakai kaedah pengurusan dari Jepun, namun ianya masih belum menemui satu kesimpulan yang konkrit berdasarkan pandangan Islam. Tujuan kajian ini dijalankan adalah untuk menyelidik hubungan Kaizen dengan prestasi organisasi dari sudut pandangan Islam dan juga faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kecemerlangan sesebuah organisasi. Sebahagian organisasi melaksanakan Kaizen menghadapi kegagalan. Antara sebabnya ialah faktor budaya organisasi yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan Kaizen dan prestasi organisasi. Kajian ini menggunakan Teori tindak balas item (IRT) dalam memeriksa tahap perlaksanaan Kaizen dalam syarikat-syarikat automotif Malaysia. Model Rasch bersama perisian Winsteps 3.6 digunakan dalam kajian ini kerana keupayaannya dalam mentafsir dan menganalisis keupayaan responden dalam melaksanakan perkara-perkara yang sukar. Soal selidik dalam talian telah diedarkan kepada 63 buah syarikat automotif yang dipilih secara rawak terletak di Wilayah Utara Malaysia. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa budaya organisasi telah mempengaruhi kejayaan pelaksanaan Kaizen dan prestasi organisasi. Oleh itu, pelaksanaan Kaizen dalam budaya organisasi yang berteraskan Islam boleh meningkatkan kecemerlangan sesebuah organisasi.Studies of organizational excellence through development of many highlights of the literature shows that require further research. This is because although the topic of organizational excellence is widely discussed by researchers, especially in adopting Japanese methods of management, it still has not found a concrete conclusion on the basis of Islam. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between Kaizen and the organizational performance from the perspective of Islam and also the factors that influence an organization’s excellence. Most organizations implement Kaizen failure. Among the reasons are cultural factors that affect the implementation of Kaizen and organizational performance. This study used item response theory (IRT) to examine the level of implementation of Kaizen in the Malaysian automotive companies. Rasch model with Winsteps 3.6 software was used in this study because of its ability in interpreting and analyzing the ability of respondents in performing the difficult items. Online questionnaire was distributed to 63 automotive companies selected randomly located in the Northern Region of Malaysia. The results show that organizational culture has influenced the successful implementation of Kaizen and organizational performance. Therefore, implementation of Kaizen in organizational culture based on Islam can improve an organization’s excellence
Aplikasi Mudah Alih Panduan Solat dan Penggunaannya: [ The User Guide of the Mobile Muslim Prayer Application ]
Get PDFAndroid applications are Linux-based operations which are used to program the touch screen and tablet computers. Android system is open source under the operation of Google. Android program can be obtained by downloading from Android Market. One of the programs available is Muslim Prayer Guide applications that can be downloaded for free via mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Affective factors, such as embarrassment towards instructors and peers can disrupt learning. One of the technologies that have the potential to address this issue is mobile learning. As such, we develop a mobile application in attempting to solve the issue of learner embarrassment in learning about praying. Muslim Prayer Guide application is built is intended as a guide to the Muslim citizens of all ages to perform prayers in the prayer in Islam. The content of this application is the rule of prayer, how to perform ablution, the things that invalidate the prayer, the reading of the five daily prayers. This study was conducted to identify the factors that contributed to the Android Muslim Prayer Guide. The study was carried out quantitatively by submitting a questionnaire to the 62 respondents who use this application. The analysis was done by using the Rasch measurement model and to measure the effectiveness factors of these applications. The results showed that the use of this application Muslim prayers assist learners in terms of the level of knowledge and methods of teaching and learning guides prayers. This application also helps adult learners who want to learn prayers. The Muslim Prayer Guide also assist them in prepare before meeting with a teacher to learn the prayers and to equip themselves as a Muslim to perform the second pillar of Islam.
Abstrak
Aplikasi Android merupakan operasi yang berasaskan Linux yang digunakan untuk program layar sentuh dan komputer tablet. Sistem Android merupakan sumber terbuka di bawah operasi Google. Program Android boleh didapati dengan memuat turun dari Google Play. Salah satu program yang diperoleh adalah aplikasi Panduan Solat Muslim yang boleh dimuat turun secara percuma melalui alat mudah alih seperti telefon pintar dan tablet. Aplikasi Panduan Solat Muslim dibina bertujuan sebagai panduan kepada warga Muslim untuk semua peringkat umur dalam menunaikan ibadat solat menurut Islam. Antara kandungan aplikasi ini adalah rukun solat, cara menunaikan wuduk, perkara-perkara yang membatalkan solat, bacaan dalam solat lima waktu, panduan solat-solat sunat dan doa-doa selepas menunaikan solat. Kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengenalpasti faktor-faktor yang menyumbang kepada penggunaan Panduan Solat Muslim. Kajian ini dijalankan secara kuantitatif dengan mengemukakan soal selidik terhadap 62 orang responden kajian yang menggunakan aplikasi ini. Analisis kajian dijalankan dengan menggunakan model pengukuran Rasch untuk mengukur sumbangan setiap faktor penggunaan terhadap aplikasi ini. Hasil kajian menunjukkan penggunaan aplikasi solat Muslim ini membantu mereka dari segi penguasaan ilmu serta kaedah pengajaran dan pembelajaran panduan menunaikan solat. Aplikasi ini juga sangat membantu orang dewasa yang ingin belajar menunaikan solat. Panduan Solat Muslim Android ini membantu mereka bersedia sebelum berjumpa dengan guru untuk belajar solat dan melengkapkan diri sebagai seorang Muslim untuk menunaikan rukun Islam kedua yang wajib ditunaikan
The Misconceptions (Jadal) in Quran
No full textJadal (argumentation) is a method of expression that the Qur’ān Karim, the holy book of the Muslims embarks on in preaching its missions and conveying its messages. It also serves as guidance in everything, be it religious or otherwise. It takes some measures and methods to deliver and convey its messages to the word, e.g. qissah (story), qasam (oath), hathal (proverbs), hiwār (communication), Jadal/Muhājjah (argumentation) inclusive. However, out of these Qur’ānic methods, only argumentation (jadal/muhājjah) remains controversial that some scholars and writers have bias mind with. Some talk about its prohibition in the two major sources of sharīcah, Qur’ān and Sunnah. Some suggest abrogation of its verses in the Qur’ān, while other sees it as unlawful thing that should not be approached or drawn near to at all by a Muslim. Islamic Financial Intermediation in Kuwait Finance House Malaysia: A Fiqh Maqasid Study
No full textThis article aims to study the financial intermediation in Islamic banks, in term of the degree of extent and achievement according to Islamic rules and Maqasid of Shariah. The objectives of this study has been done theoretically and practically through the study of some applications on the light of Maqasid. This study shows that the financial intermediation achieving the Magasid of Shariah without contradiction if it is applied correctly. Practically, this study was applied on the Kuwait Finance House Malaysia. Results show that Islamic intermediation implementing the Maqasid of Shariah in some aspects, however the study also highlights that the practice of some types of fictitious contracts like Tawaruq, Mudarabah with Tawaruq, lease and sublease, seem to contradict the Islamic rules of the Shariah and its Maqasid. This study recommends the avoidance of fictitious contracts, and to replace them with direct investment according to the comprehensive Islamic banking model of the Islamic banking system
Kefahaman dan Keperluan Pendidikan Perkahwinan di Malaysia: [Understanding and Necessity of Marriage Education in Malaysia]
No full textPendidikan perkahwinan merupakan satu bentuk bekalan maklumat yang direka untuk membantu individu dan pasangan mencapai kejayaan dan kebahagiaan dalam perkahwinan. Namun, pendidikan perkahwinan bukan hanya setakat kursus pra-perkahwinan tetapi is merupakan ilmu dan kemahiran perlu ada semasa permulaan perkahwinan dan ianya berterusan sepanjang tempoh perkahwinan itu berlangsung. Oleh itu, kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pandangan pakar dan orang awam mengenai pendidikan perkahwinan di Malaysia. Kajian ini mengumpul data melalui temubual berstruktur dengan 12 orang sampel iaitu 3 orang awam dan 9 orang pakar yang terdiri daripada pensyarah, kaunselor berdaftar dan pegawai agama. Data yang diperolehi diuruskan dalam NVivo 8 dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis tema. Hasil daripada temubual memperolehi dua tema utama iaitu : 1) kefahaman pendidikan perkahwinan dan 2) keperluan pendidikan perkahwinan.Marriage education is a form of dissemination of information designed to help individual and couples to achieve happiness and success in marriage. Nevertheless, marriage education is not just a pre-marital course, but it is a knowledge and skills needed to have either at the beginning of marriage and it continued along marriage lasted. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the views of experts and public about marriage education in Malaysia. The study collected data through structured interviews with 12 samples, 3 public and 9 experts consisting lecturers, registered counselors and religious officers. Data were managed in NVivo 8 using thematic analysis approach. Outcomes from the interview obtained two main themes 1) understanding of marriage education and 2) necessity of marriage education

Rumah kediaman bukan sahaja dilihat sebagai tempat perlindungan kepada diri dan harta benda, tetapi turut mempunyai kepentingan sebagai ruang kebersendirian atau zon privasi peribadi. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk meneroka perkara-perkara yang mendasari prinsip privasi tentang rumah kediaman dalam perundangan Islam. Tumpuan akan diberikan kepada pembinaan kerangka prinsip privasi berkaitan rumah kediaman. Secara amnya, Islam memberi keseimbangan antara tuntutan hidup bersosial dan keperluan untuk bersendiri dalam sesuatu masa. Prinsip privasi bagi sesuatu rumah kediaman bukan sahaja menunjukkan jaminan penjagaan lima tujuan utama syariah (maqasid syariah) malah menjadi suatu etika berinteraksi yang berpandukan wahyu dalam kehidupan seharian.Dwelling house is part of the basic needs in human life. In Islam, the designation of a place as a dwelling house has its own importance. The dwelling house is not only seen as a sanctuary for oneself and his property it is also significant in privacy space. This paper aims to explore the underlying principles related to privacy of dwelling house in Islamic jurisprudence. The discussion will focus on the construction of the frame through relevant privacy principles. In general, Islam provides a balance between the social life and the need to be alone at a time. The principles of privacy fora dwelling house not only show security of shariah objectives but can be an ethics of interaction based on revelation in everyday life

Pertama; meneliti aliran pemikiran ekonomi Islam kontemporari para sarjana di dunia Melayu; dan kedua; menganalisis aliran pemikiran tersebut dalam konteks konstruk teoretikal ekonomi Islam. Sarjana di dunia Melayu di sini merujuk kepada para cendekiawan di Kepulauan Melayu (Semenanjung Malaysia, Sumatera Timur, Kepulauan Indonesia, dan Borneo) dengan tumpuan khusus kepada Malaysia dan Indonesia. Ekonomi Islam yang dimaksudkan di sini pula terhad kepada ekonomi Islam anus perdana kontemporari. Kedua-dua tujuan ini dicapai melalui pendekatan kajian analisis tekstual terhadap penulisan-penulisan ekonomi Islam yang dihasilkan oleh para sarjana terpilih di Malaysia dan Indonesia. Hasil analisis ini kemudian disusun dalam bentuk tiga bahagian. Bahagian pertama membincangkan tentang konstruk teoretikal ekonomi Islam kontemporari. Bahagian kedua membincangkan tentang aliran pemikiran ekonomi Islam para sarjana Malaysia dan Indonesia. Akhir sekali, bahagian ketiga merumuskan perbincangan tersebut dengan menyatakan pendirian yang jelas tentang persoalan aliran pemikiran ekonomi Islam ini.This paper has two main objectives. Firstly, it attempts to investigate contemporary trends of Islamic economic thought of scholars in the Malay world, and secondly, to analyse those trends of thought in the context of the theoretical construct of Islamic economy. The scholars in the Malay world here refer to the scholars of the Malay Archipelago (Peninsular Malaysia, East Sumatera, Indonesian Archipelago, and Borneo) with a special concentration on Malaysia and Indonesia. Islamic economics here confine to the contemporary mainstream Islamic economics. Both objectives are accomplished through textual analysis of the writings on Islamic economics by selected scholars in Malaysia and Indonesia. The results of the analysis are then arranged in the form of three sections. The first section discusses the theoretical construct of the contemporary Islamic economics. The second section discusses the trends of the Islamic economic thought of the Malaysian and Indonesian scholars. Lastly, the third section concludes those discussions by expressing a clear stance on the questions of the trends of those Islamic economic thought
Effect of Teaching Comparative Jurisprudence in Faculties of Shari\u27ah in Consolidating the Concepts of Pluralism and Intellectual Freedom
No full textThis study investigates the impact of teaching comparative jurisprudence in forming sound thought that believes in the right of having different views and opinions. as well as works to communicate with others. Furthermore, it demonstrates the impact ofteaching comparativejurisprudence in contributing to the formation of intellectual flexibility and mitigation of unilateralism, in addition to analyzing the impact of the comparative jurisprudential research methodology in establishing the principle of difference and pluralism. The study was based on the analytical method, the study concludes that the teaching of comparative jurisprudence -if conducted according to trend based on stating the importance of critical thinking and spreading the spirit of debate, and not confined to memorizing discussions, responses, appeals and objections; contribute to consolidate the concepts of pluralism and intellectual freedom; since the teaching of comparative jurisprudence based on a system of thought entrenched these concepts. The most remarkable aspect of that system is to accept the other opinion and determine the area of agreement and disagreement, and it shows clearly in resolving dispute area in the approach of studying comparative jurisprudence, as well as a focus on constructive critical thinking through discussing the evidences in the approach of studying comparative jurisprudence; In addition to believing in pluralism and not compelling others on accepting one viewpoint through making a comparison among jurisprudence viewpoints and basing on jurisprudent principle that not to reject provisions change because of times and places change
Religious Communication as A Mass Communication:A Case Study of Effective Da\u27wah in The Contemporary Society
No full textReligion has continued to be a very important aspect of human life from the very beginning of time. It has equally continued all through the ages to influence the forms of people life in their respective communities. It is a major determinant of their culture as ivell as their norms and values, indeed, their worldview. If there are issues held so dare by people to their heart, religion is therefore one of those things. According to Islam, about 124,000 Prophets and apostles/messengers were sent by Allah (God) to communicate His will to people. What is religious communication? What kinds of its forms and configurations? What purpose is it meant to serve? What do we mean by da \u27wah and what are the principles and factors of effective da \u27wah particularly as relates to modern time and contemporary society? In what follows hereunder, attempt is made to proffer answers to the above questions. Analytical survey of data collected through the media of interview, focus group discussion and review of library collections are made and conclusion is drawn from the findings availed by the study. The findings show that there shall continue to be imbalance and misplacement of priority as long as man fails to recognize the fact that just as he needs food and water for his physical development and growth, he equally stand in need of al-hidayah (Divine Guidance ofAllah) for his spiritual development and growth as well. For injustice, oppression and suppression, adultery and fornication, anarchy and chaos, ignorance and superstition, internecine warfare, animism and barbarism, dissoluteness and wanton conviviality shall continue to be the order of the day if he neglects this all-important communications
Prophetic Preventive Medicine, An Analytical Study in Environmental Health and Safety
No full textThis study revolves around investigating prophetic sayings (ahadith) from Kutub al- Sunnah related to preventive medication, in terms of environmental health and cleanliness. It is therefore, explores the scientific facts of those ahadith. As such, the researcher defined the preventive medication, hence, studied these ahadith then chapterised them according their scientific implications. The researcher therefore analysed the authenticity and weakness of the ahadith in accordance with the rules governing the criticism of hadith by proponents of the discipline. As he investigated, matters driven from those ahadith with special reference to the preventive medication. Each hadith was then followed up accordingly with preventive scientific matters. This is then proven by contemporary scientists \u27 affirmations, coupled with what is empirically proven, taken into account its compliance with Shariah. Findings of the study revealed that the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) was so concerned about every aspect of human life including that of health. This was yielded from ahadith that infused preventive knowledge, which if humans could have made proper use of it, they would be prevented from many illness and healed others. This preventive scientific finding is affirmed by the modern science. As a result, the prophecy of the final prophet is clearly evident. Finally, the researcher recommended Muslim medical doctors to further explore knowledge of prophetic medication. Partly, because there are many illnesses and medications that prophet prescribed which were yet to be discovered in modern scientific discipline
