    Mental Health Risk Factors and Coping Strategies among Students in Asia Pacific during COVID-19 Pandemic-A Scoping Review

    The impact of COVID-19 has forced higher education institutes to go into lockdown in order to curb the situation. This sudden change caused students within the institutions to forgo traditional face to face classroom settings and to attend immediate online classes. This review aims to summarize the evidence of the social demographic mental health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on students in higher education institutes within the Asia Pacific region and identify the coping mechanisms adopted during these times. A systematic literature search was conducted using three databases (PubMed, Google Scholar, and Scopus), out of which 64 studies met the inclusion/exclusion criteria. The findings revealed that the social demographic groups most at risk were female students, those who were in the final years of their studies (i.e., students who were almost graduating), and postgraduate students as well as students studying medical fields (nursing, dental, medicine, health sciences etc.). The majority of the studies identified that students were relying on mobile devices and extended screen time to cope with the pandemic. Having proper social support, be it through a network of friends or positive family cohesion, can be a good buffer against the mental impacts of COVID-19. Students in higher education institutes are at risk of mental consequences due to COVID-19. By reducing their screen time, finding a healthier coping system, increasing the availability of support within the family and community, as well as actively engaging in beneficial activities students may be able to alleviate general negative emotions, specifically during the pandemic

    Characterization of the plastid genome of Cratoxylum species (Hypericaceae) and new insights into phylogenetic relationships

    To expand the genomic information of Hypericaceae, particularly on Cratoxylum, we characterized seven novel complete plastid genomes (plastomes) of five Cratoxylum and two of its allied taxa, including C. arborescens, C. formosum subsp. formosum, C. formosum subsp. pruniflorum, C. maingayi, C. sumatranum, Hypericum hookerianum, and Triadenum breviflorum. For Cratoxylum, the plastomes ranged from 156,962 to 157,792 bp in length. Genomic structure and gene contents were observed in the five plastomes, and were comprised of 128-129 genes, which includes 83-84 protein-coding (CDS), 37 tRNA, and eight rRNA genes. The plastomes of H. hookerianum and T. breviflorum were 138,260 bp and 167,693 bp, respectively. A total of 110 and 127 genes included 72 and 82 CDS, 34 and 37 tRNA, as well as four and eight rRNA genes. The reconstruction of the phylogenetic trees using maximum likelihood (ML) and Bayesian inference (BI) trees based on the concatenated CDS and internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequences that were analyzed separately have revealed the same topology structure at genus level; Cratoxylum is monophyletic. However, C. formosum subsp. pruniflorum was not clustered together with its origin, raising doubt that it should be treated as a distinct species, C. pruniflorum based on molecular evidence that was supported by morphological descriptions

    A Review on the Attainment of Outcome-Based Education Using Educational Data Mining

    This paper aims to conduct a review on the attainment of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) using Educational Data Mining (EDM). It analyses the types of assessment, the type of attainment, and the techniques or tools relevant to Outcome-Based Education (OBE). The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA) statement was used as a formal systematic review guideline for data collection. Data was obtained from research studies over the period 2015–2020. The analysis included 25 papers from Scopus, Science Direct, IEEE Xplore, Google Scholar databases. Findings indicated that there were varieties of approaches and techniques applied in evaluating OBE attainment using EDM. Besides that, there was a significant increase in the number of researches related to EDM and OBE attainment in recent years. The type of assessment and attainment were evenly distributed and most of the researches used generalized formula for evaluating OBE attainment. Associate Rule Mining and MS Excel were among the most preferred tools used for the research

In addition, we use vehicles to move to the spa, which is very attractive to customers because this is a new business form. The author used canvas to solve problems because it has a lot of advantages. Method: Qualitative research (depth interview) to get information related to the components in the Canvas model. We have studied the documents related to the spa's services and information. Besides, we also research and learn from managers or supervisors in spa therapy and researchers or entrepreneurs in the Movable Business Spa to give customers the best feelings when experiencing our spa. Next, it filled the interior of the car with spa tools that are contemporary, high-quality equipment because of the ambition to earn the clients' loyalty, even the most fastidious people. And above all, the authors have a professional team for consulting customers with the most enthusiasm. The study will help business construct new spa model effectively

    Due to the pandemic Covid-19, human’s health has become one of the most important things to pay more attention to in our daily life. Pandemic Covid-19 could be controlled by social distancing. Therefore, if the condition is allowed, humans are encouraged to not have any physical touching between each other. The Internet of Things (IoT) based Health Monitoring Application is proposed for the medical staff to monitor their patients through their mobile devices. The proposed system allows patients to update their daily health condition to the system and medical staffs are able to monitor their patients through the system by their mobile devices. The proposed system is more feasible than most of the existing system because it is an application that can be accessed from their mobile devices rather than only browsing the website using the laptop or computers. Since patients can update their own health condition to the system, they are not required to go to the hospital for a medical check-up. They are required to go for a medical check-up only if or when doctors find abnormal symptoms in patients’ recorded health. Besides, personal health conditions are considered as confidential information. Therefore, the author would analyze the security risks and the risks of the backend system of the proposed solution. Furthermore, the author would also enhance the security and privacy of the proposed system by implementing Blockchain Technology

    Drinking water is essential for human beings to continue surviving. Everyone knows the importance of water, but people tend to forget to drink water when they are busy on doing their work. In addition, with the current pandemic Covid-19, the importance of drinking enough water is vital. There is water drinking reminder application available but might not be effective in recording the right amount of water consumed. A system using Internet of Things (IoT) – water level monitoring system is proposed here. It is a water drinking reminder system which will detect the volume of water consumed. The system will alert the person to drink water if the water level remained the same for a long time by sending a pop-up notification through the phone. Background study has been conducted to better understand the existing water level monitoring systems. Information has been collected through interview and questionnaire, and the system has gone through several testing. Imposing the system will encourage people to drink water regularly and maintain a healthy body

    Topology Optimization of an Engine Mounting Bracket

    Engine mounting system is an essential component to a vehicle in providing the isolation of vibration and noise which are generated by the engine. While various system designs have been studied for improvements, less attention were given to study the effects of vibrational load to subcomponents of the mounting system – for example: the engine bracket. At high frequency working condition, the engine bracket may experience fatigue failure due to cumulative vibrational loading. Henceforth, any efforts to further reduce the structural weight of the said brackets may degrade its strength and this may lead to catastrophic result. This study aimed to enhance the mechanical property of an engine-mounting bracket with respect to cyclic load by means of weight-reduction topology optimization. An actual enginemounting bracket under vibrational load transmitted was modeled and analyzed using two different computer aided design software. An improved design of engine mounting bracket was modeled by reducing its total weight via the use of HyperWorks.     Sentiment Analysis on Users' Satisfaction for Mobile Banking Apps in Malaysia

    A service offered by a bank or other financial institution that enables its users to execute financial transactions remotely using a mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet, is known as mobile banking. The bank provides many mobile banking apps in Malaysia, such as CIMBClicks, Maybank2U, etc. Data classification has become the region of interest in Data Mining research as it indicates the arising of technology's application that leads to increment data usage. In this research, collection data and experiments are conducted, and results are shown. The prepossessing is discussed and explained in quite detail, and the results are analyzed and discussed further. The dataset was compared with five algorithms: Linear Regression, Naïve Bayes, Decision Tree, Random Forest, and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The best accuracy result shows 94.37% by the Decision Tree algorithm, and Naïve Bayes obtained the worst outcome at 66%

    Cellulose Nanocomposite Fabrics with In-situ Generated Copper Oxide Nanoparticles Using Aquilaria Malaccensis (Agarwood) Leaf Extract as the Reducing Agent

    Metallic nanoparticles often agglomerate when used as fillers in different matrices. In-situ generation of the nanoparticles in the matrices is suggested to overcome this problem. The present study aimed to use Aquilaria malaccensis leaf extract to synthesize copper oxide nanoparticles (CuONPs) on a cellulose cotton fabric. A surface coating of copper oxide was in-situ synthesized on the surface of cotton fabric using A. malaccensis leaf extract. Characterization of the copper oxide nanoparticle composite fabrics (CNCFs) was conducted using FESEM-EDX, and its antibacterial potential was assessed. The CuONPs formed on the surface of the cotton fabric were mainly spherical, ranging from 5 to 27 nm. The CNCFs exhibited good antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis, evaluated after 24 hours of incubation. Comparative CuSO4-embedded fabrics showed lower antimicrobial inhibition. The CNCFs prepared using this environmentally friendly method showed prominent antibacterial properties and can be considered for medical and packaging applications

    Chemogenic Synthesis of Chromium Oxide Nanoparticles using Sol-Gel Method and its Potential on Pancreatic Lipase Inhibition

    Obesity is a chronic disease which has been linked with several metabolic disorders. Till now, there is no ideal pharmacological treatment has been developed for obesity treatment. A nanoparticle or ultrafine particle has attracted the attention of researchers due to its unique physiochemical characteristics as a subject tool for physics, chemistry, and biology studies. One of the promising trace elements, chromium, has played a crucial role in the regulation of blood sugar levels and carbohydrates and fats degradation metabolism. Within our project, chromium has been synthesized into chromium oxide nanoparticles (Cr2O3 NPs) using sol-gel method, which has a higher surface area and an oxidizing potential. Chemogenic synthesized Cr2O3 NPs were characterized using UV-Vis Spectrophotometer (UV-Vis), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (Ft-IR), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), and Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDX) confirm the formation and morphology of nanoparticles. Cr2O3 NPs were in spherical shape with an average size of 67.9 nm under SEM analysis and chromium (Cr) (56.7%) and oxygen (O) (43.53%) were analyzed using EDX. Two peaks (272 nm, 368 nm) were shown in UV-Vis characterization and two sharp peaks, 574 cm-1 and 640 cm-1 were present in Ft-IR analysis. Lastly, the pancreatic lipase inhibitory assay, which reduces the absorption of fats into the gastrointestinal system, was appraised on Cr2O3 NPs with 89.48% of inhibition, with half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) at 31.70 ± 2.14 (µg/mL) ± SE
