    A Study on Extraction Pipe Insulation for Solidification Prevention of Heavy Crude Oil after Extraction

    Flow assurance is a major issue in offshore pipelines that transport crude oil and gas. Heavy crude oil is causing problems due to its high viscosity during the extraction process. Solidification of crude oil, which occurs below the pour point temperature, must be prevented for efficient transport of crude oil. Thus, the aim of this study was to design a production pipe with an ideal insulation material and optimal thickness such that the crude oil temperature is maintained above the pour point temperature. The benchmark for this study was an extraction pipeline with the length of 24000 m with the outlet temperature of crude oil is 20°C for a thickness of 105mm polypropylene. The 3D models of the extraction pipes were developed using Computer Aided Design (CAD) via INVENTOR software. CFD analysis is performed via ANSYS Fluent software to determine the outlet temperature and the total heat loss from the pipe. The results for the aerogel insulation material with the thickness of 7 mm for the extraction pipe indicated that an outlet temperature of 20.3°C and a total heat loss of 382 kW is obtained. These results indicated with respect to the above benchmark, a better insulation material can be chosen on the above-mentioned criteria. However, the studies have shown, the critical role of sustainability in choosing an insulation material. In order to further improve this project, environmental factors could be considered such as corrosion and further research could be carried out into sustainable viability of solutions, against wax deposition

    Ground Walk Training Versus Treadmill Training on Endurance Capacity and Quality of Life in COPD Patients

    Background: Pulmonary rehabilitation is mainly fascinated by equipment-dependent training such as treadmill and cycle training. But not all patients are affordable due to its high cost of pay for the entire treatment course which may vary from six to twelve weeks. Ground walk training is the simplicity of performance, and it is easy to monitor the exercise training program. Though, ground walk training is very feasible and easily accessible by the patients, it is still not beenpracticed widely as alternative to the treadmill training in pulmonary rehabilitation. Hence, this study was aimed to compare the effectiveness of ground walk training and treadmill training on improving the endurance capacity and quality of life in COPD patients. Methods: A quasiexperimental study was conducted and a total of 30 COPD patients were recruited. Participants with age group between 45-60 years, both gender, stage II to IV (GOLD) and reduced exercise tolerance (Modified Borg Scale – Score > 3) were included into this study. Participants were divided into two groups with 15 in each group (group A and group B). Group A received ground walktraining and group B received treadmill training for a period of 6 weeks, 3days/week, 30-45mins/session. The outcome measures including endurance capacity and quality oflife was assessed using six-minute walk test and chronic respiratory diseasequestionnaire. Results: Independent sample ‘t’ test was used to compare the outcome among group A and B. There was a significant increase in endurance capacity with p≤0.001 in group A (326.40±3.05) compared to group B (310.80±3.31) with ‘t’ value (9.09). Quality of life showed significantly increased ingroup A (5.77±0.53) compared to group B (5.23±0.66) with ‘t’ value (3.33) and p≤0.001. Conclusion: Ground walk training showed significant improvement on endurance capacity and quality of life in COPD patients compared to treadmill training

    This is a book that some will find intriguing, but others will find it utterly offensive. This work is penned with guts, withstanding the fact that it infringes on the tranquilly of many business schools, perturbs the quantitative dexterities of many researchers, challenges the amorality of those management theories we so vociferously propagate, and a lingering fear of incensing those who feed me. But I join a swelling echo of dedicated scholars who have unitedly alarmed the impending demise of business schools, whose ideals, values, and propositions are becoming increasingly detangled from reality. Business education has reached a full cycle, from the zenith of raging capitalism, searing economism, and tipping globalization to the steaming stakeholder capitalism, the rising demands for corporate morality, and the scorching disgust at corporate scandals. Scholars echoed their concerns that business schools, in their splendors of accomplishment, are compositely embroiled in educating a class of highly knowledgeable executives with polished managerial skills, of which many are now vindicated in corporate scandals, breaches of trust, stiffening of corporate funds, and devoid of social consideration. For decades, business schools have been proliferating their brands, image, and polished their pedagogical pristine. Duped as capitalism’s last stand, business schools are howled at as being the "running dogs" of corporatization, disseminating amoral management education that sidelines altruism and humanity. Behind the veil of brilliance, business schools are running low on empathy, spawning generations of super CEOs and managers that prioritize profit over humanness, and dispatches research outcomes remotely associated with humanity. This book instills an intellectual syllogistic deduction on how business schools have lost their soul as they incessantly disseminate amoral management education. The souls of business schools are adrift, with many operating in reverie and the faculty superficially oiling the wheels with the slightest idea of an impending derailment. There are smoldering indications that business schools and their amoral postures are adrift from the surging social demands of morality. The emerging regulatory requirements of corporate conformance to Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) and the crystallization of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are commanding indicators that society is demanding altruistic business education. Traditional business and capitalistic management concepts of “Red Ocean”, cutthroat competition and survival, outsmarting rivalry, and those very commercial ideas of succeeding at all costs are losing their pedestal. Far too long, business schools have unquestioned the appropriateness of these amoral management theories and accepted without resisting those management concepts that caused tremendous carnage to business and society. Business schools are dangerously cliff hanging onto the “valley of death”, which will entrench as they continue to discount the rising demands for a moral business education. Many prominent scholars have written on the notion of amoral management education, but this work mines deeper into characterizing the forms and types of amoral knowledge and how they belligerently and tacitly infiltrate management education. This book opens the eyes of readers, reveals the perils of amoral management theories, and intuitively addresses the question of whether business schools could survive the crisis in the next decade. Towards the end, this book blueprints how business schools can reclaim their lost souls. Business schools must reclaim their soul, and we must draw strength to question, resist, and refute those expiring amoral theories. It is time business schools regain their glory and begin to tread the consecrated path of producing socially moral leaders instead of super managers

    Sentiment Analysis of Omicron COVID-19 Variant using Naïve Bayes Classifier and RapidMiner

    The Coronavirus or other designations is COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease) appeared in November 2019 in Wuhan, China. Over time, the virus is no longer categorized as an outbreak but is categorized as a pandemic or has spread to almost all countries in the world, including Indonesia. The emergence of COVID-19 in Indonesia in February 2020 has resulted in many sectors experiencing losses, not only in health but also in the economic sector. Recently there was a new mutation to the COVID-19 Virus, namely Omicron. Omicron has been shown to be much more infectious than the other variants with an increased ability to evade vaccines and cause re-infection. This study aims to present a result of sentiment analysis on the new variant of the COVID-19 Virus, namely Omicron which is divided into three (three) classes: positive, negative, and neutral. Then, the comments will be manually labeled followed by classification using the Nave Bayes algorithm and RapidMiner software. This study's findings revealed that 84% of the community responded positively, 7% of the community responded Neutral and 9% of the community responded negatively. It can be concluded that the community responded positively to the issue of the latest variant of the COVID-19 Omicron virus because there is also the possibility that the contents of the latest Omicron COVID-19 virus may also be dangerous from the beginning of the emergence of the COVID-19 Virus in the world

    Skill Oriented Preventive Strategies and Eccentric Muscle Training on Shoulder Pain and Function in Volleyball Players with Shoulder Injury - An Experimental Study

    Background: Volleyball is a game which played by all age group in all over the world. In competitive atmosphere the collegiate players tend to get injuries, and the main considerable factor is these injuries are cumulative. Trained athletes also get cumulative injuries but prevalence of these kind of injuries are more in collegiate players because of improper skills and lack of adequate training, this study used to concentrate on correcting the skill as well as giving appropriate training. Method: This is an Experimental study; participants are 22 collegiate volleyball players from KG campus. They have divided into two groups by simple random sampling. Group A consist of 11 players. Group B consist of 11 players. Group A have received Eccentric muscle training along with skill oriented preventive strategies and Group B received Eccentric muscle training alone. After the acute management and rest, Eccentric muscle training and improving the skill by proper analysis and correction get started, duration of the study was 8 weeks. Results: The two outcome measures Spiking velocity and SPADI (shoulder pain and disability index) was used. Both Pain and activities shows positive improvement, t values of SPADI and Spiking Velocity is 11.731 and 2.765 at p<0.05. Conclusion: Eccentric muscle training along with skill oriented preventive strategies are help full in preventing the injuries as well improving the performance of an athlete

    A Study on Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation with Open Kinematic Exercises on Gluteus Medius Activation in Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome

    Background: Patellofemoral pain accounts for 25-40% of knee pain cases. It is thought that weakness or inadequate activation of gluteus medius muscle while weight-bearing can lead to internal rotation of the femur and consequently lateral tracking of the patella, gradually leading to patellofemoral pain syndrome. Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation is a novel treatment modality for the management of myofascial pain syndrome, when combined with open kinematic exercises, it helps to improve the strength of a particular muscle. Objective: To determine the effects of Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation with open kinematic exercises on gluteus medius activation in patellofemoral pain syndrome. Methods: A study conducted on 30 patients with patellofemoral pain syndrome. All the patients received Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, in the myofascial trigger points of the gluteus medius muscle, along with it open kinematic exercises were given targeting the gluteus medius muscle. PENS was given twice a week for 6 weeks. Open kinematic exercises were given 5 days a week for 6 weeks. Results: Paired t – test was used to analyze the statistical difference. The pre - test value of electromyography was (138.11 ± 2.08, P ˂ 0.0001) and post - test value was (140.61 ± 1.83, P ˂ 0.0001). As for the pain score (NPRS) the pre – test value was (6.67 ± 1.54, P ˂ 0.0001) and post - test value was (3.2 ± 1.2, P ˂ 0.0001). A significant difference was noted in the gluteus medius activation levels and the pain score with the application of Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation with open kinematic exercises targeting the gluteus medius muscle. Conclusion: The study concluded that Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation with open kinematic exercises is effective in the activation of gluteus medius muscle

    Simulation and Visualization of TSP Using Ant Colony Optimization

    The Travelling Salesman Problem (TSP) is a well-known algorithmic problem its main objective is optimization. While naturally, it will require a significant amount of time and effort to finish a lot of complex work by hand such as TSP, one of the most exciting advances in software development is the discovery of optimization algorithms. When we are presented with a difficult assignment, optimization techniques can be used to ensure that the complex work is completed efficiently and quickly, including identifying the best solution to solve it. This study aims to simulate and visualize the TSP by developing a software simulation model. This model can be used to explain how to solve the traveling salesman problem by providing step-by-step instructions performed by users using ant colony optimization. With Windows as the operating system and the C# programming language in Visual Studio 2019, the program complies with the Extreme Programming (XP) software development method. The study concludes that optimization can be applied using programming language to provide users with comfortable and intelligible simulations and visualizations

    The Perceptions, Willingness, and Barriers towards Participation in Telerehabilitation among Malaysian COVID-19 Patients

    Background: Demand for rehabilitation in Malaysia has increased following the spike in Coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) cases since 2020. With limited delivery of physical therapy services, travel restrictions, and risk of virus transmissions, telerehabilitation presents an alternative to traditional rehabilitation. Previous studies have investigated the perception of telerehabilitation among healthcare professionals in Malaysia, but lack investigations on the perceptions, willingness, and barriers toward participation in telerehabilitation among Malaysian COVID-19 patients. Therefore, it is important to understand the perceptions, willingness, and barriers toward participation in telerehabilitation among Malaysian COVID-19 patients to determine the applicability of telerehabilitation in Malaysia. The purpose of this study was to identify the perceptions, willingness, and barriers toward participation in telerehabilitation among Malaysian COVID-19 patients. Methodology: This is a quantitative, cross-sectional study. The recruited Malaysian COVID-19 patients were required to fill in a self-administered online questionnaire. The data collected were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 21 and presented in frequencies and percentages. Results: 166 Malaysian COVID- 19 patients were included in this study. Most participants were students aged 18-25 years old (68.1%). The participants were highly educated, had high access to technology, and had a high ability in using technological devices and the internet. Most of the participants showed good perceptions toward telerehabilitation and a high willingness to participate in telerehabilitation during (75.3%, n=125) and after (65.7%, n=109) the pandemic. The most frequently selected human and technical barriers to telerehabilitation participation were that telerehabilitation was not as effective as face-to-face physical therapy sessions (18.7%) and lack of exercise equipment (34.8%), respectively. Conclusion: Overall, most participants had high perceptions towards telerehabilitation and were willing to participate in telerehabilitation with the acknowledgment of barriers towards telerehabilitation, indicating that the implementation and development of telerehabilitation in Malaysia are possible

    Neck Proprioception in Chronic Neck Pain Patients with Different Typing Speeds: A Pilot Study

    BACKGROUND: Chronic neck pain (CNP) is one of the most common musculoskeletal pains. It limits the daily functional activities up to 11% to 14% of the workers. Patients with CNP suffered from decreased neck proprioception, especially in head-eye coordination. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated computer usage. A fast- typing speed can be easily achieved if there is good typing skill and head-eye coordination. However, the relationship between neck proprioception and typing speed in patients with CNP remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate neck proprioception among CNP patients with slow and fast typing speeds. METHOD: A total of 15 patients with CNP, aged 22.4±2.44 years old were recruited in this study. Participants with typing speed >45 words per minute (WPM) were recruited into the SLOW group (n=8) and <45WPM into the FAST group (n=7). Neck proprioception was assessed using the joint position error (JPE) test for neck flexion, extension, right and left rotation. Independent t-tests were conducted using SPSS 17.0 software with a significance level of less than 0.05. RESULTS: The SLOW group showed a significantly increased in neck flexion JPE (5.239±2.151 vs 2.913±0.8, p=0.019) compared to the FAST group. However, no significant difference was found in JPE for neck extension (3.695±2.169 vs 3.771±1.754, p=0.941), right rotation (3.498±1.18 vs 3.967±0.758, p=0.372) and left rotation (3.923±1.335 vs 3.237±1.687, p=0.395) in the SLOW group compared to the FAST group. CONCLUSION: Decreased neck proprioception, especially neck flexion, was significantly shown in CNP patients with slow typing speed. Hence, aside from pain management and postural education, neck proprioception and typing speed training should be offered to CNP patients who demonstrated slower typing speeds and have poorer neck proprioception performance

    Effect of Posterior Tibial Nerve Stimulation on Erectile Dysfunction Among Elderly Patients

    Background and Aim: Erectile function is a complex system that involves a complex interplay between vascular, neuronal and psychological components. Genital problems are a tough issue to discuss since they are typically socially stigmatised and can cause patients to feel isolated. The aim of the study to improve the erectile functions among elderly individuals by transcutaneus posterior tibial nerve stimulation and thus improves the quality of life as well as their social and emotional well beings. Methods: This study was a pilot study involving 13 erectile dysfunction patients, conducted at saveetha institute of medical and technical science (SIMATS) for a period of 12 weeks. All the participants were assessed with Arizona sexual experience (ASEX) scale. The subjects were given Transcutaneous posterior tibial nerve stimulation for 30 minutes alternative days for 3 days a week. Result:All the procedures were conducted in a safe and comfortable environment. TPTNS produced visible motor response and tolerable sensory response in all the patients. At the end of the study, there is a positive change noted in erectile function. Comparing the baseline score and end score of ASEX, there was a significant reduction in the erectile dysfunction frequency upon the intervention. Conclusion: This study implies that TPTNS is rather helpful and faster way of treating patients with erectile dysfunction. The result showed a significant reduction in symptoms of erectile dysfunction and betterment in the quality of life
