EFFECTS OF ENTREPRENEURIAL ORIENTATION AND DYNAMIC CAPABILITIES ON ORGANISATIONAL PERFORMANCE OF LOGISTICS SERVICE PROVIDERS IN MALAYSIA
Often, when organisations encounter abrupt and persistent changes within business environment - firms’ entrepreneurial orientation and dynamic capabilities were poised as the pivotal point in rendering firms’ success or failure. The effects of three entrepreneurial oriented insights – proactiveness, risk-taking and innovativeness upon organisational performance have been constantly studied over decades but is indeed, a rare gem in logistics. Intense competition pushes industry players to work in isolation with minimal sharing thus hinder desired progression. Retailers and high-tech giants developed in-house logistics, aspiring for market expansion by acquisition of existing logistics service providers, which, eventually, switched role from customers to competitors. Surpassed by ASEAN peers in Logistics Performance Index, Malaysia’s position declined from 32nd to 41st (2016-2018), thereby, an obvious slack in Logistics Service Quality (The World Bank, 2018). From within, logistics hiccups in comprehending manpower shortage, technology know-how, costing, geographical coverage, operational complications. Yet, industrywide, they are facing port and depot congestion, hijacking threats, customs complications, and environmental absurdities, triggering the need for cost efficiency and service delivery effectiveness. Thereby, the study aims to explore the effects of entrepreneurial orientation as in proactiveness, risk-taking, and innovativeness, including the mediating role of dynamic capabilities as in sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring upon organisational performance. Tweaking to collect from 282 respondents only from founders, owners, general managers, and senior executives, working in logistics firms, the data were analysed using Smart PLS and SPSS. Findings show significance of “Risk-Taking” and “Innovativeness” which unleashes insights for the industry to grasp opportunities and incorporate innovativeness to accomplish desired organisational performance. Ultimately, adopting an entrepreneurial stance stimulates a promising outlook for the nation’s logistics industry players in overall. Besides, dynamic capabilities in sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring snapped up a strong mediating role in sparkling organisational performance. As such, in contrast to the perception by most industry players that the anticipatory initiatives are trivial, the findings revealed otherwise. Previous literatures on the influence of entrepreneurial initiatives of boldness and ingenuity to drive logistics firms’ performance is, thus affirmed. Moving forward, relevant stakeholders could maximise both extrinsic and intrinsic organisational values by acknowledging the cruciality of entrepreneurial orientation and dynamic capabilities in logistics service providers’ business performance, development, and industrial competencies in years to come

Predictive Modelling of Stroke Occurrence among Patients using Machine Learning
Stroke is a global public health concern with severe consequences. Early detection and accurate
prediction of stroke occurrence are crucial for effective prevention and targeted interventions. This
study proposes a machine learning-based approach to predict the likelihood of stroke among
patients. A comprehensive dataset encompassing demographic, clinical, and lifestyle factors of a
large patient cohort was employed. Variables such as age, gender, hypertension, diabetes, smoking
status, BMI, and medical history were considered. Advanced machine learning algorithms,
including logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, and support vector machines, were
utilized to analyses the dataset and develop a predictive model. The results demonstrate that the
machine learning-based approach achieved high predictive accuracy in identifying individuals at
risk of stroke. The model exhibited excellent sensitivity and specificity, enabling effective
stratification of patients based on their stroke likelihood. Developing an accurate stroke prediction
model using machine learning holds immense potential for proactive healthcare strategies and
personalized patient care. Early identification of high-risk patients enables timely intervention and
implementation of preventive measures, potentially reducing the burden of stroke-related
complications. This study showed that the supervised K-Nearest Neighbors Algorithm (K-NN)
model outperforms the other methods, with an accuracy of 95% compared with other models

EVIDENCE PRODUCED BY CHILD WITNESSES AND THE NEED FOR REFORMS
When a witness has been threatened, assassinated, or harassed, putting not just the witness but the citizen in jeopardy, the citizen is entitled to a fair trial. When a witness of threatened, assassinated, or harassed, not only is the witness's right to a free and impartial trial violated, but so too right of every citizen to a trial in which he or she is not subjected to coercion or intimidation. The state must protect witnesses, when it fails in this duty; it betrays the essence of the national motto "Satyamev Jayate" and acts against the will of the people. Any form of intimidation or harassment directed toward a witness has the potential to completely derail the administration of justice. An ongoing process involves the development of a witness identity program which will be available to a witness throughout the entire legal process, from the beginning of an investigation through the final delivery of a judgment. There is currently no legislation in India that guarantees the safety of witnesses, even though they play a crucial part in the country's system of criminal justice and thus are put at great risk. If the witnesses are not taken care of, they may become disinterested in helping authorities find the perpetrators of the crime. Many commissions and committees have previously studied this issue, with the hope of enacting a strong statute for witness protection in a manner that ensures a fair trial for both parties; however, no concrete action has been made so far. Thus, the swift passage of this legislation is crucial to the efficient functioning of a Justice System

Effect of Rice Husk Addition on The Density and Impact Strength of Epoxy-Matric Composite Materials as Candidates for Eco-Friendly Brake Pads
Automotive industry growth leads to increased demand for friction materials for
brake pads. Asbestos is frequently employed because of its robustness and cost-effectiveness.
Nevertheless, asbestos is a known carcinogen and has the potential to induce lung cancer.
Hence, it is imperative to do research to identify an alternative substance to replace asbestos
in brake pads. This study aims to investigate the impact of incorporating rice husk into epoxy matrix composites on the density and impact strength of the resulting materials, which are
being considered as potential environmentally sustainable brake pads. The hand layup method was employed in this study to fabricate composite specimens. In this study, rice
husk was utilized as a reinforcing agent, comprising 50% of the weight fraction in a
composite material with an epoxy matrix. The composite material was combined with epoxy
resin and hardener and then dried. It was subsequently divided into sections following the
dimensions specified by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard.
The sections were then tested to determine their density, hardness, and impact resistance. The
study findings indicate that the composite specimen including rice husk exhibits a greater
density of 1.35 g/cm3
, in contrast to the epoxy specimen with a 1.21 g/cm3
density. The
augmentation in density holds significant importance in terms of load-bearing capability and
resistance against damage. Incorporating rice husk into the composite material enhances its
mechanical characteristics by diminishing porosity and augmenting impact resistance. The
composite density attained in this investigation is within the spectrum of densities reported
in brake pads available in the marke

Simulation‑based architecture of a stable large‑area JDBD atmospheric plasma source
Unified jet‑DBD design, JDBD , proposed in this work presents large‑scale plasma in an unbounded region of atmospheric air, without any need for the flow of gas, offering efficient exposure to sizable and complex objects. This is a simulation‑based architecture for stable non‑thermal plasma source with notable experimental results. JDBD geometry optimizes the electric field and charge distribution for a diffuse discharge in the steady air by a key design parameter of efficient insulation. Teflon insulator with a thickness dTf ≥ 10 mm imposes an intense and uniform electric field shaped up at the open area in front of the device and generates radially/axially expanded plasma jet. In the JDBD , phase shift increases by Irms and the plasma generates more power than the classical plasma jet. Two distinct states of JDBD operation indicate the mode‑swap at 0.8 mA and power dissipation. In the reactive JDBD scheme even small changes in the phase angle effectively improves the electric power
