No full textThe following study is conceived as an historie synopsis oftheevolution of the Venezuelan frontiers throughout the longcentury of military autocracies. The synopsis covers thefollowing points: The Michelena-Pombo Treaty (1883), TheFrontiers Treaty with Brasil (1859), the Laud of Spain over theIsle of Birds (1865), The Spanish Laud (1861), The Paris Laud(1899), The fixing of boundaries of the frontiers (1900-1901),The Swiss Laud (1922), and The Cucuta Treaty (1941). In thelast two subjects it is stressed the vilification of the territorialconcessions to foreign enterprises in the nineteenth centuryand the false Civil and Military powers dilemma.El presente estudio se concibe como una sinopsis histórica dela evolución entrópica de las fronteras venezolanas en el largosiglo de nuestras autocracias militares. La sinopsis abarca: elTratado Michelena-Pombo 1833); el Tratado de limites conel Brasil 1859); el Laudo de España sobre la Isla de Aves(1865); el Laudo español (1891; el Laudo de Paris (1899); lasdemarcaciones fronterizas (1900-1901); el Laudo suizo 1922);y el Tratado de Cúcuta (1941). En los dos últimos capitulas secontempla el vilipendio de concesiones territoriales a empresasextranjeras en el siglo XIX y el falso dilema del poder civil ydel poder militar
