    La non-fiction metabiografica

    No full text
This study aims to reevaluate the diverse critical interpretations of metabiography in order to examine the distinctive characteristics of non-fiction metabiography. This paradoxical genre challenges traditional biographical endeavors by shifting their central quest. Metabiographical nonfiction is characterized as a deeply reflective subgenre, focused on a fundamental question: What constitutes the essence of a life genuinely committed to art and science?

    No full text
Laila Ripoll is an outstanding author of contemporary Spanish theatre, who has dedicated an important part of her work to the theme of Memory. Like the radiodrama Guernica, el ultimo viaje, a dramatisation of an episode of the Civil War that has become a universal symbol. The text was issued in 2006, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the painting\u27s return to Spain in 1981. The story is brought to life by some of the figures of the painting, the Bull, the Mare and the Cockerel, who come to life, speak and interact with Picasso and other characters. The article summarises the results of the research on the strategies and techniques of dramatisation of the event. These include the animation and anthropomorphisation of the characters of the painting, the presence of the muertos vivientes, characteristic of Ripoll’s theatre, such as Picasso, his partners and the architect Josep Lluís Sert, who commissioned the work from the artist on behalf of the Government of the Spanish Republic, and the role of Guernica (the event, the place and the painting) as a repository of Memory. The legal history of mifepristone in the United States of America. How medical abortion is (partially) filling in the gaps lacking protection after the Supreme Court’s overturn of Roe

    No full text
After the Dobbs landmark decision restored the power to regulate and ban abortion to individual states in 2022, the Supreme Court was called to address reproductive rights once again in 2024. In Food and Drugs Administration v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, anti-abortion groups and some medical professionals demanded a declaration of illegitimacy for mifepristone, the drug used for medication abortions, along with the regulatory framework of the drug, established and updated through time by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Although the Justices recognized that the plaintiffs lacked standing without delving into the case’s merits, the importance of scientific evaluations in judicial reasoning is an increasingly relevant matter. After the Dobbs landmark decision restored the power to regulate and ban abortion to individual states in 2022, the Supreme Court was called to address reproductive rights once again in 2024.

    No full text
National healthcare systems are increasingly exploiting the benefits of Internet of Things technologies: cloud-connected devices equipped with perceptual sensors can collect highly accurate health data from people even if they do not visit a hospital or private clinic. For potential innovators of new IoT medical devices, the applicable legal framework was so far limited to the application of the General Data Protection Regulation and the Medical Devices Regulation. This article will analyse what will happen when medical data generated by the IoT is shared to create new products or services under the framework now described by the Data Act (DA) and the European Health Data Space (EHDS). As the EHDS and the Data Act both aim at facilitating the secondary use of (health) data, the contribution will compare the two processes established to establish a roadmap for solving the theoretical and practical issues related to health data sharing.I sistemi sanitari nazionali stanno sfruttando sempre più i vantaggi delle tecnologie dell\u27Internet of Things: i dispositivi connessi al cloud e dotati di sensori percettivi possono raccogliere dati sanitari molto accurati dalle persone anche se non si recano in ospedale o in cliniche private.

Law is undergoing a deep transformation. The climate crisis and the cultural innovation demand a shift from the anthropocentric paradigm, leading to the recognition of new legal subjects such as animals and ecosystems. These issues are increasingly shaping legislation and call for an active role from legal scholars, both in theory and practice. Through comparative analysis of different legal systems, a unified path is proposed to protect these emerging legal spheres. The jurist becomes a bridge between philosophical reflection and legislative action, contributing to a future founded on cooperation, equity, and sustainability.

    No full text
The advancement of scientific and technological knowledge is reshaping the legal relationship between humans and animals, posing unprecedented challenges for the law and fostering more advanced protection paradigms. This study examines the existing gap between scientific evidence and EU legislation, identifying three distinct legislative approaches – adaptive (e.g., the Netherlands), moderate (e.g., Germany), and rigid (e.g., Italy) – based on the degree of integration of scientific findings into national legal frameworks. The analysis demonstrates that a more flexible and dynamic legal model is essential to ensuring timely and effective animal protection, particularly considering the forthcoming revision of the EU Animal Welfare legislation, (re)scheduled for 2026.L’avanzamento delle conoscenze scientifiche e tecnologiche sta ridefinendo il rapporto giuridico tra esseri umani e animali, ponendo sfide inedite al diritto.
