    No full text
This article is an exposition of Rosmini’s thought on limitation, a specific category of non-being which is present in every human being and in every limited entity. Our first aim is to discern between “limitation” and “privation”, in order to read Rosmini’s anthropological perception as an attempt to define human progress without mortifying humanity. Therefore, this article is focused on the following themes: human limits and human errors during knowing processes. This article illustrates and discusses Rosmini’s thinking about the limit, a specific category of non-being that is present in every human being and in every limited entity. L\u27interpretazione del pensiero di Rosmini nell\u27orizzonte dell\u27ontocoscienzialismo di Edoardo Mirri

Edoardo Mirri is interested in Rosmini\u27s thought for its metaphysical value: the whole interpretation of Rosmini\u27s thought is deepened beyond any gnoseological vision. Mirri, therefore, adopts a perspective that enhances the ascetic and metaphysical horizon, underlining the value of the concept of conscience and the sapiential role that, in Rosmini\u27s thought, must be recognized to faith

Essere e totalità. Severino-Rosmini: critica di una critica

What we have tried to show, with this essay, is that the criticisms addressed by Emanuele Severino to Rosmini (in the essay L\u27innatismo Rosminiano) can actually also be addressed to the way in which Severino understands the original structure of being. If Severino criticizes the concept of semantic independence for how it is constituted in Rosmini with regard to the concept of "being", we have tried to show how the concept of appearing completely finite, in determining what Severino defines "contradiction C ”, Comes to mean as \u27independent meaning\u27. That is, as an abstract concept of the abstract

    Get PDF
Focusing on Jennifer Egan’s Manhattan Beach, the article analyzes the role of the sea and water in general – both as metaphors and physical elements - in defining a deep movement that allows the writer to tackle many stereotypical representations of the Ameri-can civil society and the military environment during the Thirties and Forties. In following the link between the protagonist’s female gaze and the constant presence of the sea as a constitutive element of the novel, we’ll see, in thematic terms, how this work offers a new perspective to look at the New York City during wartime as well as to the maritime literary tradition itself; while, in theoretical terms, it presents the reader with a frictional effect with respect to the category of historical novel and provides instead a potential counter-history.

The Constitutional Council adopts a self-restraint position, granting the legislator ample discretionary freedom in terms of ethical choices. This decision is important since it allows to reflect both on the status of the embryo with regard to free scientific research and on the principle of human dignity. In this decision on 29th July 2021, the French Constitutional Council declares in conformity with the Constitution the innovations instituted by the legislator: the right to carry out research for improving knowledge of human biology, the right to create transgenic or chimeric embryos.
