Education is one of the main means of character building, which aims to prepare students to become individuals who are not only intelligent but also have integrity and social responsibility. Previous research has discussed the integration of local wisdom in education, but few have focused on how the values of Sundanese customary law can specifically shape the character of university students. This study aims to fill that gap by examining how these values are interpreted, lived, and transformed into behavioral attitudes among students of IPI Garut.  This study aims to explore the implications of Sundanese customary law values in shaping the character of students at Institut Pendidikan Indonesia (IPI) Garut. The research employed a quantitative associative-correlational design to determine the relationship between the understanding of Sundanese customary values and student character. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 316 respondents and analyzed using Pearson correlation and simple linear regression with SPSS 30 software. The findings revealed that Sundanese customary law has a positive and significant effect on character formation (r = 0.478; p < 0.001; R² = 0.229), meaning that 22.9% of the variation in student character can be explained by the understanding and application of customary law values. These values, including silih asah, silih asih, and silih asuh, are reflected in moral attitudes, social responsibility, and academic integrity. The study concludes that integrating Sundanese customary law into higher education can strengthen contextual character education rooted in local wisdom and cultural identity

The intensive application of organophosphate pesticides containing profenofos as the active compound may lead to soil contamination and the emergence of pesticide-tolerant bacterial strains with potential for bioremediation. Comprehensive identification and characterization of these bacteria are crucial to support sustainable agricultural and environmental management practices. The aim of the study is to analyze the characteristics and identify indigenous bacteria tolerant to profenofos pesticide in Sleman agricultural land, DIY. This study is qualitative research using an exploratory-descriptive. Isolation was carried out by dilution to a level of 10-7 followed by a spread plate on Mineral Salt Medium (MSM) which was given with 100 ppm profenofos pesticide. Bacterial isolates were characterized and then identified using profile matching with reference genera. Based on the results of the study, it is found that 10 bacterial isolates tolerant to organophosphate pesticide with the active ingredient profenofos that have a similarity index of ≥70%. Based on the reference bacteria, 5 different genera are obtained, namely Paracoccus (D3, D8), Micrococcus (D5, D6, D9), Enterococcus (D2, D10), Arthrobacter (D1, D4), and Neisseria (D7). The bacterial isolates obtained have different characteristics. The characteristics of these bacteria are gram positive and negative bacteria with round, irregular, and rhizoid shapes. Their margins are lobate, curled, entire, undulate, and ciliate. Their elevations are umbonate, raised, and flat. The color of the bacteria is white to light orange, with various physiological test results

The importance of teaching language to children underlies the birth of this study. Therefore, this study aims to describe the metaphorical form of online advertising discourse in Indonesia as a basis for teaching language in elementary schools. This research employs a qualitative descriptive study. Data are collected through non-participant observation and note-taking techniques. The data in this study are sentences that contain A Cognitive Pragmatic Review on The Metaphorical Expression of Indonesian Online Ads. Meanwhile, the source of data in this research is YouTube. The object of this research is Metaphorical Expression and the subject in this study is Indonesian Online Ads. The data collection technique used in this study is the Listening and Recording Technique. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique uses padan and agih techniques with using referential and pragmatics to show and compare the referent or the meaning of the source and the metaphorical expression of the target. The method is combined with a reflective-introspective to show how cognitive processes manage to produce a speech. Besides, the inductive inference technique shows the correspondence between the source and target concepts. The expression is metaphorically constructed based on the correspondence between the source and the target domain. Indonesian online advertisement is generally constructed with structural, orientational, and ontological metaphors. The metaphor of Indonesian online advertisement pragmatically functions as assertive information, directive invitation, and expression of wonder with a structural, lexical, and counter-factual presupposition. Meanwhile, the conceptual strategy is associative.
