Introduction: Immunization in the national health system is one form of health protection that is very effective in preventing infant and under-five mortality rates. Children who are notimmunized do not have immunity against the disease, so they will fall ill, possibly causing adecline in nutritional status. Infectious diseases and immune functions are interconnected and will ultimately affect the nutritional status in children. Purpose: To determine the correlation between immunization status and nutritional status of children under five in the Health Center Community or Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat in Indonesian (Puskesmas) in Gresik Regency, East Java. Method: This study used an observational analytic research method with a cross-sectional research design. The samples of this research are toddlers aged 1-5 years old and mothers who have MCH books. The study was conducted by collecting data using a questionnaire to be filled out by mothers of children under five. Then, the researchers collected data by recording the immunization status of children under five by looking at the MCH book. Then, we measured the body weight and height of the toddler. Results: Based on the results of statistical calculations using the chi-square test regarding the analysis of the relationship between immunization status and nutritional status of children under five obtained a significance value of p = 0.220: p≥0.05 (value α). Conclusion: There was no significant relationship between immunization status and nutritional status of children under five years old in the Puskesmas Kedamean in GresikRegenc

Stress caused by noise can be increased if not handled seriously Aim: This study is aimed to analyze the correlation between machine noise intensity and workers’ stress level of jewelry factory in Surabaya. Methods: This research use an analytic survey with the type of research design used is a cross-sectional research design. The population in this study involved 110 production employees in the jewelry factory in Surabaya in 2017. Sampling technique in this research is nonprobability sampling that is purposive sampling or judgmental sampling. Respondents who met the inclusion criteria were 87 people. The intensity measurement of noise is using the Sound Level Meter on each machine that is in the production section 3 times then counted on average. The measurement of job stress is using a validated questionnaire. Spearman correlation test has done to know the correlation between variables. Result: There is a significant and strong positive relationship (p = 0.000, R = 0.696) between machine noise intensity and workers’ stress level of jewelry factory in Surabaya. Conclusion: This study showed that the higher the intensity of engine noise, the higher the level of stress generated. Education through Health Promotion is important to do in all industry sectors using voiced machines for better worker’s welfar

Introduction: Cervical cancer is a malignancy in women with the number one mortality and number two morbidity in the world. As many as 77% cases are found in developing countries, including Indonesia. Although deadly, screening programs can reduce the morbidity and mortality of this malignancy. Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) is a cervical premalignancy screening method used in primary health care in Indonesia. Smoking is one of risk factor associated with cervical cancer and data from GATS, Infodatin 2015 & Riskedas 2013 states that the number of passive smokers in Indonesia is high. Aim: The objective of this research is to look for the correlation between history of passive smoker and positive VIA Methods: This research is a retrospective cross sectional analytic study. The data used in this study is the medical records of VIA screening visitors in 2016. The data were extracted on the research questionnaire. Data processing is done by using SPSS Statistics 23 For Windows computer software. The test is Chi Square correlation test and calculation of Prevalence Ratio (PR). Result: 55 women (24.7%) had a history of passive smoking (daily cigarette smoke exposure), and 168 women (75.3%) had no daily cigarette smoke. 21 women (9.4%) received positive results, and 202 women (90.6%) received negative IVA. In the Pearson Chi-Square section, the Asymptotic Significance (2-sided) yielded results at 0.042 (

Introduction: Post-stroke depression ranged between 11-68% depends on patient's diversity, diagnostic criteria, and duration between follow-ups after a stroke attack. Prevalence may increase due to the patient's age. Medical rehabilitation and psychotherapy are a necessary effort to help patients overcome their disability. Medical rehabilitation for post-stroke patients includes restoring body functions, handling comorbid dysfunction, exercising individual independence, increasing quality of life, and preventing stroke recurrence. Aim: The objective of this research is to look for the correlation between medical rehabilitation and GDS Score in post-stroke geriatric patients. Methods: This research is an analytical observational with 1 group cohort time approach. The population is post-stroke geriatric patients who go through medical rehabilitation in Primasatya Husada Citra Hospital Surabaya. Result: Using the Chi-Square Test, the value of p is 1. After two weeks of medical rehabilitation, this shows that there is no significant correlation between medical rehabilitation and changes in the GDS score in post-stroke geriatric patients. The value of the odds ratio is 2,333. Conclusion: there was no significant effect of medical rehabilitation on GDS scores in elderly patients after stroke

Background: The number of people with mental health problems is still high in the world, especially depression. This incident is triggered by the stress of each individual on anongoing basis and failure to adapt. Stress regulation is a preventive measure to preventdepression in individuals. Currently, there are many developing uses of essential oils as antistress relaxation therapy. Vetiver essential oil is believed to reduce stress levels. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the effect of using vetiver essential oil with different concentrations and administration periods on changes in cortisol levels. Methods: This study used Rattus norvegicus experimental animals with the Forced Swim Test (FST) as a stressor. Vetiver essential oil concentrations of 10% and 30% were administered with the essential oil preparation given after giving stressor. Stress level in experimental animals was measured from the hormone cortisol in the blood. The method of measuring cortisol in experimental animals was carried out using the Enzyme-Linked Immuno Sorbent Assay (ELISA) method. Results: This study obtained significant results from the Kruskal Wallis statistical test ondecreasing cortisol levels in experimental animals by administering vetiver essential oil with10% concentration. Changes in the cortisol hormone in experimental animals and cortisollevels were not affected by the length of time of administration

Introduction: Indonesian Ministry of Health published Basic Health Research stated that the incidence of stress in Indonesia increased between 2013 and 2018. Untreated stress is a riskfactor for suicide and can cause the onset of depression. Stress associated with cortisol, thishormone has many functions in our body, such as increasing blood sugar levels, reducinginflammation, and suppressing the immune system  One of the essential oils commonly used is English Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia). The lavender essential oil has many benefits, such as reduce anxiety, relieve pain, improve sleep quality, bactericidal, and repellent Purpose: This study aims to research the effectiveness of 10% and 30% lavender essential oil balm on serum cortisol levels in rats given stressor.  Method: This study used 37 male rats randomly divided into four groups: negative control, positive control, 10% lavender balm, and 30% lavender balm. The forced swim test was given as the stressor every day for ten days, 20 days, and 30 days. The lavender oil balm was pplied to the back after the forced swim test. ELISA Kit measured the serum cortisol levels. Results: The results showed that 10% lavender essential oil balm significantly (p=0.007 and p=0.041) decreased serum cortisol levels compared to negative control and positive control group. However, there was no statistically significant difference in serum cortisol levels in the 30% lavender essential oil group. Furthermore, there was no significant difference in serum cortisol levels between 10 days, 20 days, and 30 days of the 10% and 30% lavender essential oil balm.   Conclusion: The effectiveness of lavender essential oil balm to decrease the serum cortisol levels depends on the concentration and not depending on the duration of administration. 10% lavender essential oil balm lowers the serum cortisol levels more than 30% lavender ssential oil balm
