Get PDFIn addition to illustrating the alarming state of trust and interpersonal solidarity in Poland, the article focuses on pointing out the importance of the action of the educator in the role of community organizer, whose important task is to achieve, a qualitative change in the way the local community and interpersonal relations function. Strengthening solidarity interaction is possible through community work aimed at activating local communities, that is, activating human and social forces, discovering the existing potential of the local community. The increasingly dynamic development of social service centers in Poland in response to the ongoing changes in the social policy of the European Union emphasizing the need to develop services for citizens and the formation of a group of helping professions opens new opportunities and space for the use of the potential of educators.W artykule, poza zobrazowaniem niepokojącego stanu zaufania i solidarności międzyludzkiej w Polsce, skupiono się na wskazaniu znaczenia działania pedagoga w roli organizatora społeczności lokalnej, którego ważnym zadaniem jest osiągnięcie jakościowej zmiany w sposobie funkcjonowania społeczności lokalnej i międzyludzkich relacji. Get PDFThe article presents some results of research aimed at finding out how primary school students from Ukraine and Poland understand certain concepts related to school. The study used a survey method and a questionnaire that contained initiated questions. The sociocultural theory of J. S. Bruner supported the research conceptualization and design stages. The concepts of the following authors were used for description, explanation and interpretation: J. S. Bruner, R. Kwaśnica („Two rationalities”), M. Foucault; as well as the humanistic concept, symbolic interactionism and paradigmatic tension: constructivist approach vs. behavioural approach. A lack of motivation to study and a feeling of no purpose in engaging in what school offers are documented in the participants’ answers. Studying is a means to an end and a game where students experience positive and negative reinforcement, and play certain roles. It is also a cognitive adventure which, although sometimes difficult and unpleasant, requires effort, fosters self-development, constitutes a source of satisfaction. A portrait of a student as an incomplete person and a meaningful other emerges from the analysis of the statements.Artykuł przedstawia wybrane wyniki badań, których celem było poznanie tego, jak uczniowie szkoły podstawowej z Ukrainy i Polski rozumieją pewne pojęcia związane ze szkołą. W badaniach wykorzystano metodę ankiety i kwestionariusz ankiety złożony z zainicjowanych zdań. Na etapie konceptualizacji i projektowania badań wsparciem była socjokulturowa teoria J. S. Brunera. W procesie opisywania, wyjaśniania i interpretowania skorzystano z takich koncepcji, jak: kulturowa J. S. Brunera, „Dwóch racjonalności” R. Kwaśnicy, M. Foucault, humanistyczna, interakcjonizm symboliczny, a także z implikacji wynikających z napięcia paradygmatycznego: konstruktywizm vs. behawioryzm. W wypowiedziach uczestników badań jest udokumentowany brak motywacji do uczenia się i brak poczucia sensu angażowania się w to, co proponuje im szkoła. Uczenie się jest środkiem do celu i grą, w ramach której doświadczają oni wzmocnień pozytywnych oraz negatywnych, odgrywają określone role. To także przygoda poznawcza wymagająca wysiłku, sprzyjająca rozwijaniu siebie, będąca źródłem poczucia satysfakcji, choć czasami trudna i nieprzyjemna. Z analizy wypowiedzi wyłania się portret ucznia jako człowieka niekompletnego i znaczącego

It is shown that since they are experienced by the person as a subject, it is subjectivity that enables reevaluation and shaping them, like other attitudes, so that they become components of a mature existence.Artykuł ukazuje podstawy rozumienia radości i smutku jako kategorie pedagogiczne. Get PDFScouting is one of those educational environments that have a clearly and unambiguously defined system of values in their assumptions. It has been modeled on the Ten Commandments and compiled in ten points of the Scout Law and the content of the Scout Promise, which children who join this movement make, having been prepared for the instillment of values that are binding on them throughout their lives. The article reports on diagnostic studies carried out among scouts and their instructors in the Lodz agglomeration. The purpose of the survey was to learn about the range of values recognized by them, so that they could be related to the values that are binding on scouts, and thus capture the degree of convergence with them. The main research question was: What values are recognized by scouts operating in the Lodz agglomeration? The results of the pilot survey are surprising, because they show scout educators that their influence on the young generation is not very effective.Harcerstwo należy do tych środowisk wychowawczych, które w swoich założeniach mają klarownie i jednoznacznie określony system wartości. Został on ujęty na wzór Dekalogu w dziesięciu punktach Prawa harcerskiego oraz treści Przyrzeczenia harcerskiego, jakie składają dzieci wstępujące do tego ruchu, uprzednio przygotowane do introjekcji obowiązujących ich przez całe życie wartości. Przedmiotem artykułu jest raport z badań diagnostycznych wśród harcerzy i ich instruktorów w aglomeracji łódzkiej, których celem było poznanie zakresu uznawanych przez nich wartości, by można było je odnieść do obowiązujących harcerzy wartości, a tym samym uchwycić stopień zbieżności z nimi. Główne pytanie badawcze brzmiało: Jakie wartości są uznawane przez harcerzy działających na terenie łódzkiej aglomeracji? Wyniki pilotażowego sondażu są zaskakujące, gdyż uświadamiają harcerskim wychowawcom niską skuteczność ich oddziaływań na młode pokolenie

Is Metamemory Judgements Reactivity a Topic Worth Investigating? An Overview of Literature and Future Directions
Get PDFJudgements of learning (JOLs) are commonly used in metacognitive research to assess a person’s ability to monitor their learning. However, despite the widespread use of this type of self-reported measure, only recently have metacognitive researchers become interested in investigating its potential reactive effects in a proper empirical manner, via directly addressing the question whether the sole act of systematically monitoring memory influences memory performance. The issue of possible reactive JOL effects has been raised since the early days of metamemory monitoring research, but has taken a completely new direction in the lately emerging studies—from issuing warnings about JOL reactivity as a potential limitation, to dedicating entire series of experiments to uncover the principles behind certain reactivity patterns, and its potential moderators. More research is needed on educationally relevant materials to determine whether JOL reactivity can be utilised in educational contexts. Finally, this phenomenon, as shown in the performed literature overview, leads to important theoretical implications reflected in the four hypotheses explaining the reactivity effect
