Get PDFIn order to better understand the relationship between literature and philosophy, the paper takes as its starting point a number of reflections by José Ortega y Gasset; indeed, his ideas help demonstrate the value of literature for philosophical thought. The structure of a literary narrative is an interesting working space for perspectivism, and the literary works of Hervé Guibert serve as a useful case study to exemplify this idea. It will be argued that philosophy and literature are two perspectives that coincide and favour a more complex study of the plurality of differing viewpoints, which applies to both their content and dissimilarities.Este trabajo toma como punto de partida algunas reflexiones de José Ortega y Gasset para pensar la relación entre la literatura y la filosofía y mostrar el valor de la literatura para el pensamiento filosófico. La estructura de una narración literaria es un interesante espacio de trabajo para el perspectivismo, y las obras literarias de Hervé Guibert son un caso de estudio clave para ejemplificar esta idea. Se defenderá que la filosofía y literatura son dos perspectivas que pueden coincidir y favorecer un estudio más complejo de la pluralidad de perspectivas, sus contrastes y contenidos

Get PDFThis analysis focuses on male figures in Andrzej Stasiuk\u27s travel prose, including both Dukla and Going to Babadag, as well as references to Galician Tales. These are not fully-formed literary characters, but men encountered by Stasiuk during his numerous travels across Central-Eastern Europe. By describing these encounters, the writer creates a collective portrait of people that are linked to a specific time and place. The men in these texts are inhabitants of the deep provinces of Central-Eastern Europe in the 1990s and at the turn of the 21st century. Rosyjska kontra wobec świata Zachodu
Get PDFBoth Russian authorities and Russian society have a sense of harm associated with the position of Russia in the world. They do not agree with the dominant role of the West. To a large extent it is associated with a sense of Russian pride. The consequence of this situation is the growing confrontation between the Russian Federation and the West. Currently, the theatre of confrontation is i.a. the conflict in the east of Ukraine and the war in Syria. The intensification of military tension is also observed, the confirmation of which is the violation of the airspace of NATO members. The author of this article undertook research effort associated with the determination of the fields of confrontation between Russia and the West.Zarówno rosyjskie władze jak i rosyjskie społeczeństwo mają poczucie krzywdy związane z pozycją Rosji w świecie. Nie godzą się z dominującą rolą Zachodu. W dużej mierze jest to związane z poczuciem rosyjskiej dumy. Konsekwencją tego stanu rzeczy jest wzmagająca się konfrontacja na linii Rosja-Zachód. Obecnie teatr owej konfrontacji to m.in. konflikt na wschodzie Ukrainy oraz wojna w Syrii. Obserwowana jest również intensyfikacja militarnego napięcia, której potwierdzeniem jest naruszanie przestrzeni powietrznej członków NATO. Autorzy niniejszego artykułu podjęli wysiłek badawczy związany z określeniem pól konfrontacji między Rosją i Zachodem.

The first of these is a novel with autobiographical elements, while the second consists of a travel story depicting events experienced by the writer while exploring the island. What the two texts have in common is both a reflection on the specifics of Sicily and ‘sicilianness’, and a fable-like quality of the island’s representation, although that quality means something slightly different in each piece.Hanns-Josef Ortheil poświęcił Sycylii dwa utwory: Das Kind, das nicht fragte (2012) oraz Die Insel der Dolci. Obydwa teksty łączy zarówno refleksja na temat specyfiki Sycylii i ‘sycylijskości’, jak też ‘bajkowość’, jaka charakteryzuje ukazaną w nich wizję wyspy, choć w obydwu z nich ‘bajkowość’ nie oznacza dokładnie tego samego

Get PDFAfter the Second World War, the Poles in Belarus were deprived of any institutions that would ensure the group activity of this community and the development of national identity. As a consequence, the number of people claiming the Polish nationality has been declining for several decades, and the proportion of Poles declaring Polish as their mother tongue is limited. There were a number of restrictions that prevented the social advancement of the Poles. At the same time, they significantly distanced themselves from the Communist Party and actively participated in the life of the Catholic Church. As a result of the perestroika policy in the late 1980s, the conditions for a national revival appeared, which was not unequivocally perceived in various circles, which often feared the growth of the importance of the Polish community.После второй мировой войны поляки в Беларуси были лишены каких-либо институтов, которые обеспечивали бы групповую активность этой общности и развитие национального самосознания. Как следствие, количество людей, заявляющих о польской национальности, сокращается в течение нескольких десятилетий, а доля поляков, объявляющих польский своим родным языком, ограничивается. Существовал ряд ограничений, препятствовавших социальному продвижению поляков. В то же время они значительно дистанцировались от коммунистической партии и активно участвовали в жизни католического костела. В результате политики перестройки в конце 80-х годов появились условия для национального возрождения, что не было однозначно воспринято в различных кругах, часто опасавшихся роста значения польской общины

Soviet Coordinators of International Economic Cooperation in the Eastern Bloc in the Period 1948-1953
Get PDFThis article is a discourse on the main trendsetters of international economic cooperation in the Eastern Bloc in the period 1948-1953. Special emphasis is placed on the architects of cooperation between Czechoslovakia and the Soviet Union, since both countries established themselves as economic leaders after the Second World War and, moreover, developed a number of specific close links between their industries. The article focuses on the role of top officials of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. In addition, the paper also explores the role of Soviet advisors who stewarded the economies of the other Eastern Bloc states, both from Moscow and as seconded delegates directly from the ministries and enterprises of the individual members of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance.This article is a discourse on the main trendsetters of international economic cooperation in the Eastern Bloc in the period 1948-1953.
