Creation in Ancient Elam based on Royal Elamite Inscriptions and Rock Reliefs
Get PDFRoyal Elamite inscriptions offer valuable insights into a range of themes related to ancient Iran. However, to date, no Elamite creation myth has been recovered. Nonetheless, there exist indirect references in the inscriptions and rock reliefs that can be used to reconstruct such an account. This study aims to partially reconstruct the Elamite genesis by examining the linguistic and iconographical clues. Analysis of a web application supporting gym management in terms of control and systems theory
Get PDFAn analysis of the web application supporting the management of the gym was carried out, which was designed in terms of the theory of control and systems. The obtained results of measurements of input and output quantities of selected subsystems were used to carry out the identification, as a result of which models of web application subsystems were obtained. On the basis of the obtained subsystem models, appropriate models were then designed in Simulink for the purposes of simulation and comparative studies of the behavior of subsystem models in relation to real systems that are web applications, including an appropriate analysis of the web application system model was carried out under the name of the gym on its selected subsystems, including in particular the subsystem called Generating a diet. In addition, testing and simulation studies were carried out to check the correct functioning of the web application management system model and the introduction of appropriate changes to the model was proposed, and the obtained research results were discussed, indicating the high accuracy of the obtained web application models

In the further part of the text were analyzed the arguments for the existence of God (or the Absolute) which are present in Platonic and Neoplatonic philosophy and which directly and indirectly influenced the Augustinian formulas of evidences. Get PDFThe authors of the article show the importance of studying the economic environment, organizational culture in Latvia, as an ethnically diverse side, taking into account the influence of the ethnic factor. Since there are two ethnocultural poles in the ethnic diversity of Latvia - ethnic Latvians, who are the core of the Latvian nation-state, and Russians, as the largest ethnic minority in the country, the author of the article focused on the issue of the nature of ethnic differences within the Latvian organizational culture. The complexity of this approach to description is due to the fact that the vast majority of scientific works in Latvia, taking into account the influence of the ethnic factor on social life, belong to the field of political science and sociological research. While the few works within the framework of the economic science of Latvia consider the established organizational culture in this country mainly as a homogeneous ethno-cultural entity. To confirm the hypothesis that the ethnic factor also plays an important role in the economic life of Latvia, the author of the article in 2021 organized a sociological study in research project “Interaction of the individual, society and the state in the overall process of Latvian history: conflicts of values and the formation of common values at historical breaking points”. The purpose of this study was to identify the ethnic characteristics of the organizational culture in Latvia through the nature of the ethical relationship between ethnic Latvians and Russians in the economic life of the country. As a key indicator of the integrity of organizational culture for the multi-ethnic environment of Latvia, the author chose the value of universal moral norms, primarily justice, to regulate relations between ethnic Latvians and Russians, to mutually assess their professional and personal qualities in the life of companies and organizations. The data of this study showed that a high assessment of the ideals of justice is characteristic of the moral consciousness of both ethnic Latvian and Russian respondents. At the same time, the attitude towards the implementation of these ideals, as well as other moral values, in economic behavior, business communication, in the adoption of corporate ethics and respect for the established hierarchy in the enterprise and organization, in the perception of professional, moral and psychological qualities of employees with different ethnic identities has some differences among representatives of these ethnic groups. This indicates a significant place of ethnic favoritism both in the minds of ethnic Latvians and Russians when assessing the opposite side, and thus the existence of ethnic subcultures within the business culture and organizational culture in Latvia. Given the large volume of the article, it is divided into two parts. The first part provides a theoretical justification for understanding the relationship between ethical and ethnic values in organizational culture. The second part presents the data of sociological research and their analysis.Autorzy artykułu wskazują na wagę badania środowiska gospodarczego, kultury organizacyjnej na Łotwie, jako kraju zróżnicowanego etnicznie, z uwzględnieniem wpływu czynnika etnicznego. Ponieważ w różnorodności etnicznej Łotwy wyróżnić można dwa bieguny etnokulturowe – etnicznych Łotyszy, którzy stanowią trzon łotewskiego państwa narodowego, oraz Rosjan, jako największą mniejszość w kraju, autorzy artykułu skupili się na zagadnieniu charakteru różnic etnicznych w łotewskiej kulturze organizacyjnej. Złożoność takiego podejścia do opisu wynika z faktu, że zdecydowana większość prac naukowych na Łotwie, uwzględniających wpływ czynnika etnicznego na życie społeczne, należy do obszaru nauk politycznych i badań socjologicznych. Podczas gdy nieliczne publikacje z zakresu nauk ekonomicznych traktują ugruntowaną kulturę organizacyjną w tym kraju głównie jako jednorodną całość etniczno-kulturową. Aby potwierdzić hipotezę, że czynnik etniczny odgrywa również ważną rolę w życiu gospodarczym Łotwy, autorzy artykułu, w 2021 roku, zorganizowali badanie socjologiczne w ramach projektu „Interakcja jednostki, społeczeństwa i państwa w ogólnym procesie historii Łotwy: konflikty wartości i kształtowanie się wspólnych wartości w historycznych punktach zwrotnych”. Celem tego badania była identyfikacja etnicznych cech kultury organizacyjnej na Łotwie poprzez naturę relacji etycznych pomiędzy Łotyszami i Rosjanami w życiu gospodarczym kraju. Jako kluczowy wskaźnik integralności kultury organizacyjnej dla wieloetnicznego środowiska Łotwy, autorzy wybrali wartość uniwersalnych norm moralnych, przede wszystkim sprawiedliwości, do regulowania stosunków między etnicznymi Łotyszami i Rosjanami, do wzajemnej oceny ich zawodowych i osobistych cech w życiu firm i organizacji. Dane z tego badania wykazały, że wysoka ocena ideałów sprawiedliwości jest charakterystyczna dla świadomości moralnej zarówno respondentów łotewskich, jak i rosyjskich. Jednocześnie stosunek do realizacji tych ideałów, a także innych wartości moralnych, w zachowaniach ekonomicznych, komunikacji biznesowej, w przyjmowaniu etyki korporacyjnej oraz poszanowaniu ustalonej hierarchii w przedsiębiorstwie i organizacji, w postrzeganiu zawodowych, moralnych, psychologicznych cech pracowników o różnych tożsamościach etnicznych ma pewne różnice między przedstawicielami tych grup. Wskazuje to na istotne miejsce faworyzowania etnicznego zarówno w świadomości etnicznych Łotyszy, jak i Rosjan przy ocenie strony przeciwnej, a co za tym idzie na istnienie subkultur etnicznych w obrębie kultury biznesowej i kultury organizacyjnej na Łotwie. Ze względu na obszerność artykułu podzielono go na dwie części. W pierwszej części przedstawiono teoretyczne uzasadnienie rozumienia relacji pomiędzy wartościami etycznymi i etnicznymi w kulturze organizacyjnej. Get PDFThis article presents the role of symbols in the lives of individuals and groups. Particular attention is paid to the symbolic significance of the number three in the folk culture of the Belarusians, more specifically in the rites of the folk calendar, the scripts of marriage ceremonies, the ritual of birth, the rites associated with baptism, and the rites associated with death and mourning. The dominant role of the number three in the mythology and oral poetic legacy of the Belarusians (especially in spells and fairy epics) is also revealed. The analysis of scientific literature and research interviews prove that numbers are a universal language, as they contain information about the source of cultural beliefs, the norms and values of different societies as well as the relations occurring among their representatives.W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono rolę symboli w życiu jednostek i grup. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na symboliczne znaczenie liczby trzy w kulturze ludowej Białorusinów, a dokładniej w obrzędach kalendarza ludowego, scenariuszach ceremonii zaślubin, rytuale narodzin, obrzędach związanych z chrztem, śmiercią i żałobą. Ukazano także dominującą rolę liczby trzy w mitologii i ustnej poetyckiej spuściźnie Białorusinów (szczególnie w zaklęciach i bajkach). Research shows that the mental foundation of The Labyrinth of the World is based on the dialectics of health and illness, which for the author becomes the equivalent of good and evil, truth and falsehood, eternity and temporality, spiritual perfection and vanity. The culpable physical degradation of man is, in Comenius\u27 work, a source of temporal suffering, and it also derails the chances of gaining spiritual perfection and, consequently, makes it impossible to get closer to God.Przedmiotem badań w niniejszym artykule jest funkcja oraz znaczenie zagadnienia zdrowia oraz choroby w dyskursie literackim i filozoficzno-religijnym Jana Amosa Komeńskiego. Get PDFThe purpose of this article is to show the evolution of border areas between Poland and the Kaliningrad District and the initial socio-economic analysis of the Polish-Russian border in 1945-2022, which will be used for further scientific research. The Polish-Russian border at the beginning of its functioning was closed or even a hostile area. The breakup of the Soviet Union allowed to establish and develop mutual relations. Their apogee was the introduction of the principles of small border traffic in 2012. The pandemic and later the war in Ukraine changed the border into a barrier that is difficult to cross. This is a big challenge for border poviats. From the beginning of political changes, they have been at the national lead of the unemployment rate, and the border has been the driving force of socio-economic development for twenty years. It was also an informal, but the largest workplace of the borderland residents. The complete closure of the border showed how important its openness was for the inhabitants of the Polish and Russian borderland.Celem niniejszego artykułu jest ukazanie ewolucji obszarów przygranicznych między Polską a obwodem kaliningradzkim w Federacji Rosyjskiej oraz wstępnej analizy społeczno-ekonomicznej pogranicza polsko-rosyjskiego w latach 1945-2022, która posłuży do dalszych dociekań naukowych. Granica ta na początku swojego funkcjonowania stanowiła zamknięty, a nawet wręcz wrogi obszar. Rozpad Związku Radzieckiego pozwolił na nawiązywanie i rozwijanie wzajemnych relacji. Ich apogeum stanowiło wprowadzenie w 2012 r. zasad małego ruchu granicznego. Pandemia, a później wojna w Ukrainie zmieniły granicę w trudną do przekroczenia barierę. To dla powiatów przygranicznych spore wyzwanie. Od początku przemian ustrojowych znajdują się w krajowej czołówce stopy bezrobocia, a granica przez dwadzieścia lat była motorem rozwoju społeczno-gospodarczego. Była też nieformalnym, ale największym zakładem pracy mieszkańców pogranicza. Zupełne zamknięcie granicy pokazało, jak jej otwartość była ważna dla mieszkańców polskiego i rosyjskiego pogranicza
