The role of edible insects in sustainable and environmentally friendly aquatic animal feeding: Review
To ensure sustainable growth, feed-fed aquaculture needs to reduce its reliance on fishmeal and oil. Introducing of novel aquaculture feeds such as macroalgae, bacteria, yeasts, and insects can greatly reduce the need for fish in aquaculture while maintaining efficiency and omega-3 fatty acid profiles. Insects, particularly, can efficiently convert organic waste into valuable products, thus reducing waste management costs and replacing fish and soybean meal. The flexibility and efficiency of insect metabolism contribute to their potential in mass food and feed production. However, for insect farming to have a global impact, it needs to be economically viable and capable of supplying insect products in industrial quantities. Extensive research has been conducted to explore the potential of insect meal for various physiological effects in important crustacean and fish species in aquaculture. This paper aims to summarize the relevant literature on these topics and highlight the results of experiments conducted with key species. To ensure sustainable growth, feed-fed aquaculture needs to reduce its reliance on fishmeal and oil. The Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on the Work-Life Balance of Employees
The impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic are still prevalent in the Hungarian labour market. With home office gaining ground, the traditional way of working before the pandemic was partially altered, for which neither employers nor employees were ready. Work-life balance was upset by the change in the daily routine. In our quantitative online questionnaire survey, we looked at whether this disruption and change had a greater impact on the older or younger generation and whether there was a discernible gender difference in home office work in Hungary. Before the questionnaire survey, two hypotheses were developed. One of our hypotheses was confirmed and the other was rejected after analysing the data. We demonstrated that older age groups – the Baby Boomer and Generation X – are more satisfied with their work-life balance than younger age groups – the Generation Y and Generation Z – using statistical methods (cross-tabulation analysis and chi-square test). We examine these possible causes and make recommendations for strategies to promote work-life balance in our article

Sustainability Performance Commitment and Market Liquidity: An Event study analysis
This study investigates the impact of voluntary commitments to the Sustainable Stock Exchange Initiative (SSEI) on market liquidity within African Security Exchanges amid an increasing global focus on sustainability in capital markets. While adopting the event study methodology, the study utilised the Paired T-test and the two-way fixed effect panel model to analyse the short- and medium-term market liquidity effects of 13 Security Exchanges. The findings revealed significant short-term market liquidity improvements, which diminished over time. These results highlight the importance of policy recommendations that offer insights for security exchange policymakers as they adapt to sustainability dynamics and strive to enhance market performance. The study suggests that exchanges adopt concrete strategies to maintain market liquidity improvements, such as incentivisation schemes for listed companies to enhance their long-term sustainability performance and comprehensive measures addressing other underlying factors influencing market liquidity. Further, security exchanges should continue developing investor education programs on sustainability to enhance awareness and implement more sustainable initiatives to enhance investor confidence and meet the growing demand for responsible investment. This study investigates the impact of voluntary commitments to the Sustainable Stock Exchange Initiative (SSEI) on market liquidity within African Security Exchanges amid an increasing global focus on sustainability in capital markets. Vasút és a foglalkoztatási szerkezet átalakulása
This paper explores the transformative impact of railways on employment structures in Hungary from 1880 to 1920. The study highlights the shift from traditional, agriculture-based employment to industrial and service sectors, primarily driven by the introduction of railways. The analysis indicates a general trend of modernization across settlements with railway connections, while those without showed a reinforcement of traditional structures.
On a regional level, the advent of railways spurred significant changes. Settlements along the main line and those near the light railway outperformed those without railway connections, indicating the railway\u27s role in driving modernization. However, the influence of the railway appears to have diminished over time. The paper concludes that while the local impact of the railway was transformative, its absence often resulted in a delay in modernization. This local transformation paved the way for the region\u27s integration into national and eventually, European processes.A tanulmány a vasút foglalkoztatási struktúrára gyakorolt átalakító hatását vizsgálja egy régiós szinten Magyarországon 1880-tól 1920-ig. A tanulmány kiemeli a hagyományos, mezőgazdaságon alapuló foglalkoztatásból az ipari és szolgáltatási szektorok felé történő elmozdulást, amelyet elsősorban a vasút bevezetése vezérelt. Az elemzés általános modernizációs trendet mutat a vasúti összeköttetésekkel rendelkező településeken, míg azoknál, amelyek nélkülöznek ilyen összeköttetést, a hagyományos struktúrák megerősödését mutatja.
Regionális szinten a vasút megjelenése jelentős változásokat hozott.
Complex development analysis of the disadvantaged settlements of the Kistelek district in Southern Hungary
The central theme of the research is a complex study of the disadvantaged settlements of the Kistelek district in the Southern Great Plain. One of the poorest areas of Csongrád-Csanád county was mapped at two points in time (2014 and 2019) to identify the typical economic and social changes. A complex development indicator was used to analyse the economic, social, infrastructural, social and employment situation of the municipalities. The only town in the district, Kistelek, was ranked first on the basis of the complex development indicator. Kistelek is a service-poor district centre, yet it illustrates the centre-periphery relationship in the region. The district is rich in natural and human assets, which, if used wisely, could provide a breakthrough from the unfavourable economic situation. The analysis has led to proposals for solutions to problems relating to land use, rural society and life in the district, and local economic development. The central theme of the research is a complex study of the disadvantaged settlements of the Kistelek district in the Southern Great Plain. "Mit szólna Bach, Mozart és Beethoven?": Szülői vélemények a Covid-19 világjárvány miatti lezárásokat követő online hangszeres zeneoktatás hatékonyságáról
In March 2020, the COVID19 pandemic led to a number of fundamental changes in all education systems. Following the lockdowns that aimed at limiting the spread of the virus, educational processes had to be re-thought globally. Countless institutions have started online-based distance education, in many cases despite the lack of the necessary infrastructure background and adequate preparation of teachers. At the time of the data collection of our research, in the spring of 2022, the distance learning form was only used in certain areas, e.g. in the part-time and evening courses of some higher education institutions. In all levels of public education, the previous in-person education has returned, including in the field of music education. Singing and the sound of instruments can be heard from music schools again, and for the outside observer, the old order has been re-stored. However, those who participated in online education must carry their good or not so good memories with them, Children carry on the knowledge they acquired or seemed to have, and teachers and parents mainly carry their experiences. Our previous investigation focused on music teachers and children, and our current research focuses on par-ents who are in the background, but are constantly present, providing reinforcement and help. The aim of our study is to analyse how the parents of children attending music school and playing instruments (N=458) felt about the movement of music education to online platforms, as well as their children’s motivation and academic efficiency. Based on our results, we concluded that the parents accepted and undertook the additional burdens associated with virtual education, and their children could continue their extracurricular studies in a supportive environment. Parents noticed a change in the effectiveness of education, but it was important to them that their children did not interrupt their music studies, so they supported them with their attention even when the chil-dren were less motivated.2020 márciusában a COVID19-világjárvány számos alapvető változáshoz vezetett minden oktatási rendszerben.
The Doctoral Program on Educational Sciences of the University of Debrecen, the Faculty of Music and the Art Pedagogy Research Group of the Foundation for the Art of Future launched research in the fall of 2021, investigating the role of parents in children\u27s musical education in both real and virtual space. The data collection took place in the spring of 2022 with the support of the Research Institute of Art Theory and Methodology of Hungarian Academy of Arts. The self-made measuring instrument, containing closed and open questions, focused on the opinions of parents whose children play an instrument in elementary art school or attend private singing lessons. The opinion of the respondents (N=458) can be interesting, as during this period they could see a little more into the teaching of music and see things from a different perspective. The survey also looked at parents\u27 music listening habits and the factors that influence them. The results showed that those who had been involved in music more often attended concerts of light and classical music and listened to music not only in a contextual way but also for its own sake, while those who had never received music education tended to listen to music only as a back-up during other activities.

Integration of science, environmental (green) and literary education through the use of children\u27s and young people\u27s literature (juvenile fiction, young adults\u27 literature) in the practice of primary school teachers
A 2023/2024-es tanévben lezárult a Nemzeti alaptanterv előírásait követő 1–4. évfolyamos általános iskolai oktatás első ciklusa, így a tanulmány célja annak vizsgálata, hogy a fent említett közoktatási szabályozás hogyan hatott az 1–4. évfolyamon a mindennapi iskolai gyakorlatra, különös tekintettel arra, hogy a természettudományos tartalmak bevezetésével hogyan változott az irodalomtanítás tartalma; van-e lehetőségük a gyakorló pedagógusoknak arra, hogy a tanulókat a természethez, a környezetismerethez, a környezetvédelemhez és a teremtett világhoz kapcsolódó szépirodalmi művekkel megismertessék a választható olvasmányok révén, illetve, hogy a pedagógusok mennyire ismerik az ilyen témájú kortárs, a tanulók korosztályának megfelelő irodalmat. Jelen tanulmány egy empirikus, kis mintán (74 válaszadó) végzett kérdőíves felmérés eredményeit mutatja be arról, hogy a gyakorló, 1–4. osztályos tanítók a választható olvasmányok tanórai alkalmazása során figyelmet fordítanak-e az irodalmi nevelés és a természettudományos nevelés összekapcsolására.According to the current regulation of the National Core Curriculum in Hungary, science education should be embedded in the field of Hungarian language and literature through the processing of informative texts aimed at text comprehension and knowledge extension in the first two grades of primary education. The teaching of environmental studies starts in the third grade and builds on the developments and activities in the fields of technology and design, Hungarian language and literature, visual culture, mathematics and ethics in the framework of the subjects of technology and design, Hungarian language and literature, visual culture and ethics in the first and second grades. The first cycle of primary education for grades 1–4, which followed the provisions of National Core Curriculum, has been completed in the school year 2023/2024, so it is examining how the aforementioned public education regulation has affected the everyday school practice in grades 1–4, especially seeing into how and in what ways the content of literature teaching has changed with the introduction of science studies content; whether practisioners have the opportunity to introduce pupils to fiction related to nature, environmental studies, environmental protection and the created world through optional reading materials, and to what extent teachers are familiar with contemporary, age-appropriate literature on such topics. The present paper presents the results of an empirical, small-sample (74 respondents) questionnaire survey on whether practising teachers in grades 1–4, when using optional reading materials in classrooms, pay attention to linking literary education with science education
