La interioridad como umbral de lo sagrado:: Agustín, espiritualidad y búsqueda de sentido en el mundo contemporáneo
No full textIn a context marked by the fragmentation of the self, the eclipse of truth, and the proliferation of diffuse spiritualities, this article revisits the thought of Saint Augustine through the lens of interiority as a threshold to the sacred. By analyzing key works such as Confessions, De Trinitate, and De Magistro, the study explores how Augustinian interiority articulates a mode of knowing that is simultaneously ontological, ethical, and mystical. Far from any introspective retreat, Augustine proposes a theological and relational interiority, in which memory, illumination, and desire shape the soul as the locus of truth and divine encounter.
This perspective is deepened through dialogue with contemporary authors such as María Zambrano, Karl Rahner, Raimon Panikkar, and Byung-Chul Han, particularly regarding the challenges of spirituality and the search for meaning in late modernity. Within this framework, the article also recovers the pedagogical dimension implicit in Augustine’s thought —a pedagogy of the soul— as a formative path capable of integrating reason, mysticism, and personal transformation. In response to the dominance of technical rationality and the current educational crisis, it defends the relevance of an education in interiority, in which the human being is shaped from within and oriented toward transcendence.En un contexto marcado por la fragmentación del sujeto, el eclipse de la verdad y la proliferación de espiritualidades difusas, este artículo propone una relectura del pensamiento de san Agustín desde la categoría de interioridad como umbral hacia lo sagrado. A través del análisis de obras clave como Confesiones, De Trinitate y De Magistro, se explora cómo la interioridad agustiniana articula un saber que es simultáneamente ontológico, ético y místico. Lejos de cualquier repliegue intimista, se trata de una interioridad teológica y relacional, donde memoria, iluminación y deseo configuran el alma como lugar de verdad y de encuentro con Dios.
El estudio se enriquece mediante un diálogo con autores contemporáneos como María Zambrano, Karl Rahner, Raimon Panikkar y Byung-Chul Han, en torno a los desafíos actuales de la espiritualidad y la búsqueda de sentido. En este marco, se recupera también la pedagogía implícita en el pensamiento agustiniano —una pedagogía del alma— como vía formativa capaz de integrar razón, mística y transformación personal. Frente a la hipertrofia de la razón técnica y la crisis educativa de nuestro tiempo, el artículo defiende la vigencia de una pedagogía de la interioridad, en la que el sujeto se forma desde dentro y se orienta hacia la trascendencia

No full textThis article analyses the concept of assent in John Henry Newman and Michel Maffesoli, exploring its dimension as an expression of human vital force. Newman conceives assent as a personal act of faith, integrating reason, will, and inner experience, guided by the ability to reach certainties through accumulated evidence. Maffesoli views it as a postmodern collective phenomenon, based on an affective logic that fosters community cohesion through symbols and emotions. Through a comparative and interdisciplinary approach, the study identifies convergences in resilience against uncertainty, highlighting assent’s relevance for understanding the interplay between faith, reason, and social cohesion in contemporary contexts.Este artículo analiza el concepto de asentimiento en John Henry Newman y Michel Maffesoli, explorando su dimensión como expresión de la fuerza vital humana. Newman concibe el asentimiento como un acto personal de fe, integrando razón, voluntad y experiencia interior, guiado por la capacidad de alcanzar certezas a partir de evidencias acumuladas, mientras que Maffesoli lo aborda como un fenómeno colectivo posmoderno, basado en una lógica afectiva que cohesiona comunidades mediante símbolos y emociones. A través de un enfoque comparativo e interdisciplinario, el estudio identifica convergencias en la resiliencia frente a la incertidumbre, destacando la relevancia del asentimiento para comprender la interacción entre fe, razón y cohesión social en contextos contemporáneo
La piedad popular cristiana en la Antigüedad: formas, contextos y experiencias pastorales
No full textIn the following article, we will focus on forms, texts, and pastoral experiences in which, in one way or another, it has become clear that the early Christians expressed an affective and deeply symbolic relationship with the object of their faith, God, who revealed himself in his Son through the Holy Spirit, manifested his plans in Mary of Nazareth, and left the imprint of his holiness also in the martyrs and saints. This will be a descriptive and synthetic presentation that will attempt to revisit familiar forms of ancient Christian popular piety and provide new stimuli by approaching other less well-known forms. In any case, efforts will be made to highlight the roots that nourish the sap of popular Catholic piety, which still today gives vitality to the believing soul of the People of God.En el siguiente artículo nos vamos a detener en formas, textos y experiencias pastorales en los que, de una manera u otra, se ha hecho patente que los primeros cristianos han expresado una relación afectiva y profundamente simbólica con el objeto de la fe, Dios, que se ha revelado en su Hijo por medio del Espíritu y que ha manifestado sus designios en María de Nazaret y ha dejado la impronta de su santidad también en los mártires y santos. Se tratará de una presentación descriptiva y sintética que intentará retomar formas conocidas de la piedad popular cristiana antigua y suscitar nuevos estímulos con el acercamiento a otras menos conocidas. En cualquier caso, se procurará hacer caer en la cuenta de las raíces de las que se nutre la savia de la piedad popular católica que aún hoy da vitalidad al alma creyente del Pueblo de Dios
Homo sacramentalis: La relevancia social de militar en hermandades sacramentales
No full textDuring the Early Modern Age, lay brotherhoods proliferated in Granada. They were introduced after the conquest of the city and faithfully represented the spirituality of the Old Christians. Among the first brotherhoods to emerge were the sacramental ones. They were established in all the city's parishes, and in many of them, the so-called esclavitudes appeared later, also with a predominantly sacramental character. These sacramental associations were given preference over the others brotherhoods and enjoyed various spiritual, economic and social privileges. The sacramental brotherhoods were aware of this superiority, exploited it, and considered the social prestige derived from this intermediate power.Durante la Edad Moderna proliferaron en Granada las cofradías de laicos. Fueron introducidas tras la conquista de la ciudad y representaban fielmente la espiritualidad de los cristiano-viejos. Entre las primeras cofradías surgidas se encuentran las sacramentales. Se instauraron en todas las parroquias de la ciudad y en muchas de ellas aparecieron más tarde las llamadas esclavitudes, también de carácter principalmente sacramental. Estas asociaciones sacramentales tuvieron preferencia sobre las demás y gozaran de diversos privilegios espirituales, económicos y sociales. Los cofrades sacramentales eran conscientes de esa superioridad, la explotaron y consideraron el prestigio social derivado de este poder intermedio
Regionalismo y Desarrollo en América Latina:: Desafíos para después de las crisis
Full text linkThis paper examines the prospects for Latin American regionalism and the challenges it faces as a short-term development strategy. Using a governance approach, it reviews the historical trajectory of projects since the 1960s and the factors that influence the demand for and supply of integration at the systemic, regional, and national levels. The analysis finds limited progress in regionalization, economic integration, interstate cooperation, and shared identity traits. However, its effects on the development of the region's states are clearly insufficient. Regionalism remains a collective aspiration, but in order to become an effective development mechanism, it faces structural challenges that are difficult to overcome in the short term. Utilizando un enfoque de gobernanza, revisa la trayectoria histórica del conjunto de proyectos desde la década de los sesenta del pasado siglo, y los factores que inciden en la demanda y oferta de integración en los niveles sistémico, regional y nacional. El análisis encuentra avances limitados en materia de regionalización, integración económica, cooperación interestatal y rasgos de identidad compartida. Sin embargo, sus efectos sobre el desarrollo de los Estados de la región son claramente insuficientes. El regionalismo subsiste como una aspiración colectiva, pero para convertirse en un mecanismo de desarrollo efectivo se enfrenta a desafíos estructurales difíciles de superar a corto plazo. No full textThroughtout the article, we present interdisciplinary methodologies that revitalize the sensory dimension of the New-spanish Baroque, concerning the sonic experience from the aural agency of emission-listening. From this point of view, we analyze the urban categories established by the historian Ángel Rama ordered city, lettered city and scripted city, applied to Mexico City. In consequence, we reconsider the presence and permanence of orality in the textual nature of lettered discourses. From this standpoint, we question the mechanisms by the city was formed as a place of memory that at first seemingly only captured the experiences of the elites, revealing a syncretic memory that preserves an indigenous feeling. To this end, we work with sources of symbolic and apologetic character for the creole idiosyncrasy and others musical-literary materials, such as villancicos, following through them the imprint of the creole and indigenous Baroque ethos.A lo largo del artículo presentamos metodologías interdisciplinares que revitalizan la dimensión sensorial del barroco novohispano, especialmente en relación con la experiencia sónica desde la agencia aural de emisión-escucha. A partir de esta posición, analizamos las categorías de la urbe establecidas por el historiado Ángel Rama de ciudad ordenada, letrada y escrituraria, aplicándolas al caso de estudio de la Ciudad de México. En consecuencia, nos replanteamos la presencia y permanencia de lo oral en los discursos letrados de naturaleza textual. Con esta perspectiva cuestionamos los mecanismos por los que se conformó la ciudad como lugar de memoria que solo recogía la experiencia de las élites, revelando una memoria sincrética que preserva un sentir indígena. Para ello trabajamos con fuentes de carácter simbólico y apologético para la idiosincrasia criolla y otras músico-literarias, así como los villancicos, siguiendo la impronta del ethos barroco criollo e indígena
