El mito de Treg-treg y Kai-kai en el contexto religioso mapuche
Get PDFOne of the main oboriginal peoples of Chile is the Mapuche people. The aim of this article is to develop the content and meaning of Mapuche cosmology by reflecing on some of the main constituent elements of this culture, such as the myth of Treng-treng and Kai-kai. The method used is analytical philosoplical. Is is concluded that an adequate knowledge and recognition of the mythical story allows a better understanding of its ancestral content, as well ass to appreciate its current value.Uno de los principales pueblos originarios de Chile es el pueblo mapuche. El objetivo de este artículo es desarrollar el contenido y significado de la cosmología mapuche a partir de la reflexión de algunos de los principales elementos constitutivos de su cultura, como es el mito de Treng-treng y Kai-kai. El método utilizado es filosófico analítico. Se concluye que un adecuado conocimiento y reconocimiento del relato mítico permite comprender de mejor manera su contenido ancestral, como también apreciar su valor actual

The text reviews the relationship maintained by important referents of twentieth century art qith a type of creation motivated more by the transcendent, tan by the subjetivity and immanence that characterized the modern artistic revolution. The presence of the transcendent in the work of comtemporary artists is a phenomenon generally avoided or sileced by the artistic historiography and which has nevertheless gained strengh in recent times since beginning of Postmodernity.Aunque la secularización de la sociedad occidental determinó que muchos artistas modernos abandonasen todo lo que pudiera tener algún sentido religioso, ciertos creadores siguieron encontrando inspiración en el misterio de lo numinoso en algún momento de su carrera. El texto revisa la relación mantenida por importantes referentes del arte del siglo XX con un tipo de creación motivada más por lo transcendente, que por la subjetividad e inmanencia que caracterizó a la revolución artística moderna. La presencia de lo transcendente en la obra de artistas contemporáneos es un fenómeno generalmente evitado o silenciado por la historiografía artística y que sin embargo ha cobrado fuerza en los últimos tiempos a partir de la postmodernidad

Get PDFThe article’s aim is to pay tribute to the eminent doctor on the fourth centenary of his death. This anniversary happily coincides with the growing interest that is currently being enjoyed by the figure of Suárez, the metaphysical, legal and political thinker, over these last few years, due largely to increased awareness of the key role that his work played in the historic juncture of the transition from the Middle Ages to the modern world. The article briefly analyses some areas of ‘Suárezian’ thought: the relationship between faith and reason in Disputationes metaphysicae, the notion of law in De legibus and the ideas of popular sovereignty and democracy in Defensio fidei.El artículo quiere rendir un homenaje al Doctor Eximio en el cuarto centenario de su óbito. Ésta efemérides coincide felizmente con el interés creciente que viene experimentando la figura de Suárez, pensador metafísico, jurídico y político, en los últimos años, debido en buena medida a la constatación del papel jugado por su obra en la decisiva coyuntura histórica de la transición de la Edad Media al mundo moderno.
