    The Analysis of Willingness to Accept and Willingness to Pay of Farmers and Consumers on Organic Horticultural Commodities Through Android Application-Based Digital Marketplace

    Purpose: This study aims to analyze farmers' and consumers' willingness to accept and willingness to pay for organic horticultural commodities through an Android application-based digital marketplace.   Theoretical  Framework: Parameters in the economic assessment of natural resources and the environment involve how much individuals are willing to pay (WTP) and receive (WTA) Economic valuation methods for natural resources and the environment can be grouped into two types, namely the revealed preference approach and the stated preference approach The implied preference approach includes several techniques, such as the Travel Cost Method, Hedonic Pricing Method, and Averting Cost. On the other hand, the techniques included in the expressed preference approach involve the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) and Conjoint Analysis.   Method: This study was conducted in Semarang and Magelang Regencies, Central Java Province. The number of samples interviewed was 110 respondents spread across the two districts. The number of samples in each district was 55 respondents of producer farmers who are accustomed to growing organic horticulture and at the same time as consumers of organic horticulture. The analysis of users’ WTP and WTA of organic horticulture offered to the respondents.   Results: The estimated Result of WTP Parameters of the characteristics of the product offered is one of the factors which can affect consumer willingness to pay (WTP). Consumer backgrounds such as income, number of family members, and education can also affect consumers' WTP of a product. In general, the determining factor for consumers’ WTP to be willing to pay more for organic horticulture through a digital marketplace compared to conventional horticulture is better quality.   Conclusions: Consumer preference for organic horticulture is positive because the quality and taste are better than horticulture that has been planted before. Organic horticulture has the opportunity to create a market due to the positive response of producers and consumers as indicated by the WTA and WTP

    Islamic banking performance measurement: What do stakeholder think?

    Purpose: The objective of this study was to determine the understanding of Islamic banking X stakeholders about performance measurement   Theoretical framework: Performance measurement is important in a company or business entity, which is useful for providing manager accountability to all stakeholders. Stakeholders are people or groups who have an impact on company decisions. But in terms of management, conventional companies differ from Islamic financial institutions, especially in managing the interests of their stakeholders   Methods: The research paradigm used is an interpretive paradigm with a phenomenological approach. Phenomenology is used as an analytical tool to determine the understanding of informants   Results: The results of the study found that some stakeholders understand that Islamic banking performance is measured based on financial aspects alone, without looking at other aspects.     Labour Mobility in the Asean Economic Community – A Story in Viet Nam's Sustainable Development Goals

    Purpose: This article analyzes Vietnam's sustainable development strategy when participating in the Southeast Asian Community of Nations (ASEAN) based on 3 pillars: Political-Security Community, Economic Community and Socio-Cultural Community. The admission of labour by member states participating in ASEAN's labour market will become a more cohesive political-economic entity, a community "united in diversity"; continue to be an open and important regional cooperation organization in the Asia-Pacific.   Theoretical reference: The overall objective of the ASEAN Community is to build the Association into a deeper and more binding intergovernmental cooperation organization based on the legal basis of the ASEAN Charter; but not a supranational and non-closed organization that still expands cooperation with the outside.   Methods:  the article analyzes the factors affecting the outlook, the labour market in ASEAN has gradually transformed into an intergovernmental cooperation organization with a higher level of legal binding and deeper links but has not become a supranational organization. In that process, Vietnam's participation in the ASEAN labour market is an inevitable process of the ASEAN Economic Community.   Results and conclusions: In the economic field, this is an area with important strides and is currently a driving force for accelerating the process of regional integration. Up to now, ASEAN has basically fulfilled its commitments on the formation of the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA),  with most tariff lines having been reduced to 0-5%. ASEAN has identified 12 priority areas for early integration to further boost intra-regional trade. Intra-regional trade currently reaches about US$300 billion and accounts for about 25 per cent of ASEAN's total trade. Vietnam's participation in the ASEAN Economic Community has favorable factors and challenges. Vietnam needs to improve policies in training high-quality human resources to meet labor standards in the ASEAN Economic Community.   Implications of research: The ASEAN Economic Community aims to create a single common market and unified production base, including the free flow of goods, services, investment, capital and skilled labour; thereby enhancing competitiveness and promoting shared prosperity for the whole region; making it attractive for investment – business from the outside. Viet Nam's extensive labour market participation in ASEAN will boost effectiveness in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals   Originality/value: With the goal of "For an ASEAN Economic Community for Sustainable Development", the article analyzed Vietnam's participation in the ASEAN labour market.Successful integration in the labour market will help Vietnam reduce poverty rates, improve the quality of human resources and develop sustainably

    Legal Status and Problems of Exercising the Rights and Obligations of the Educational Process Subjects

    Introduction: Nowadays, the globalization processes and the growth of trade and economic competition associated with them pose new challenges for states. Science and education traditionally underlie any country's economic progress. Meanwhile, the state is called upon to satisfy society's educational needs to achieve its development's strategic goals.   Objective: The research discusses problems of exercising the rights and obligations of the subjects carrying out their activities in the educational environment. By general and special research methods, the theoretical and empirical material is analyzed and generalized. The research outcome is revelation of tendencies of developing the individual rights in the educational environment and a prospect of the further improvement of the laws in the sphere of education. Problems of regulating the educational activities are discussed in the context of debates held by various authors about the form and content of the phenomenon under research. According to the research results, conclusions are made that in the sphere of education a lot of important social relations are regulated by extralegal social regulators. There is a need for improvement of a legal status of subjects of the educational process and of legal groundwork for the educational activities by means of developing the promising areas of legal regulation of the educational activities.   Method: During the research, the main legal acts in the sphere of education were analyzed. These acts include the Constitution, the Law “On Education”, the Law “On Status of the Teacher, the Labor Code. These are the main legislative acts regulating the relations between subjects of the educational process. Other legal acts were also considered, which, in a sense, deal with the sphere of education. This is the Code “On People’s Health and Health Care System”, and the following laws: “On Social and Medical-Pedagogical Correctional Support for Children with Special Educational Needs”, “On Culture”, “On Physical Education and Sports”, “On Military Service and Status of Servicemen”, “On Law Enforcement Service”, “On Special Government Agencies” and other legal acts. The research used the general scientific methods - dialectics and axoilogy, general scientific methods - analysis, synthesis, comparison, a predictive method, and private methods of legal research.   Results: As a result of analyzing various view points and opinions, the following theoretical results were obtained. The research showed the basic groups of subjects, among which the mutual rights and obligations are supposed to be built. The groups under consideration are characterized by the primary signs that are driven by their functional rights and obligations.   Conclusion: The research substantiates a necessity to improve the legal relations in the educational environment, discusses the contradictions driven by an insufficient level of legal education and upbringing. By researching the theoretical sources, importance of further improvement of a legal status of teachers, students and pupils, and other subjects of the educational process is discussed

    Cyber Notary Issues Authority Certificate to Provide Legal Protection in Online Selling

    Purpose: This study aims to ascertain the importance of a Cyber Notary Notary in issuing Certificate authority to protect the Law for buyers in online buying and selling transactions and the procedure for producing evidence that can be used as reliable proof.   Theoretical framework: The frequent problems of buying and selling online have become evidence of the need for legal rules or electronic laws. Therefore, cyber notary must provide facilities by making an authority certificate with the aim of providing legal protection in online selling and buying   Method/design/approach: Using both a statutory and a conceptual approach, this investigation was conducted. The information provided comes from secondary sources that contain legal content. The data was gathered via normative data and a literature review. Deductive logic analysis techniques were used to examine the sources of legal materials gathered.   Results and conclusion: According to the findings of this study, the Notary is no longer required to perform valid deeds electronically for deed agreements or electronic contracts. However, the Notary's job can be fulfilled by issuing electronic certificates in collaboration with the Certificate Authority to become a trusted third party.   Research implications: This verification procedure can be used to validate electronic certificates. The verification process requires digital forensics, but it can be verified immediately by scanning a barcode at the Republic of Indonesia's Ministry of Law and Human Rights office. The Law on the Job of a Notary should also contain this responsibility because the Job of a Notary should allow for and include a Notary in providing electronic certifications.   Originality/value: A Notary should be recognised as a service provider in the electronic field as part of the Electronic Information and Transaction Law revisions to protect parties in online buying and selling

    Protection Factors and Risk Factors of Caries in Children Aged 10-13 Years in Ujung Tanah Sub-District, Makassar City, South Sulawesi

    Background: Caries is one of the oral diseases that is often experienced by children around the world by 60%-90%, especially in low socioeconomic groups. The causes of caries are multifactorial, including socioeconomic level, age, gender, diet and oral hygiene. Sucrose or sugar commonly consumed is an important factor causing caries. Elementary school children are an age group that is very vulnerable to caries because they have poor behavior in maintaining oral and dental health.   Aim: Knowing the protection factors and risk of caries in children aged 10-13 years.   Method: The study was conducted in September 2022 - March 2023 on elementary school students aged 10-13 years in 3 (three) elementary schools in Ujung Tanah District, Makassar City, South Sulawesi Provision. The number of samples at SD Hang Tuah was 64 people, SDN Ujung Tanah 54 people, and SDN Cambaya 49 people with a total sample of 167 people with quantitative research methods using questionnaires.   Results: The average value of protection factor against caries in SD Hang Tuah was 66.8%, SDN Ujung Tanah 72.5%, and SDN Cambaya 64.2%. The protection factor against caries in the three schools still needs to be improved. The average value of risk factors for caries in SD Hang Tuah was 33%, SDN Ujung Tanah 29.3%, and SDN Cambaya 32.7%. Risk factors for caries in the three schools still need to be reduced.   Conclusion:  The protection factor still needs to be improved while the risk factor still needs to be lowered by the three elementary schools. In addition, this study also found caries rates in the three schools in the very high category with a caries index of >6.6

    The Impact of Social Media Use on Entrepreneurial Opportunity: Evidence from Manipur, India

    Objective: The present study aims to investigate the transformative influence of social media usage on entrepreneurial opportunity, recognition and exploitation in the unique context of Manipur, a northeastern state of India. This research aims to offer valuable insights into the dynamics of social media and entrepreneurship in a region which is characterized by its unique opportunities and challenges, ultimately contributing to a deeper understanding of the role of digital technology in fostering entrepreneurial growth.   Theoretical Framework: This study is guided by seven hypotheses that lay the theoretical foundation, investigating the relationships among specific variables. The independent variable under study is the Social Media Usage (SMU) which is assumed to influence several aspects of entrepreneurial activity. Simultaneously, the study considers Prior Knowledge (PK), Entrepreneurial Alertness (EA) and Enhancing Social Networks (ESN) as intermediary variables, shaping the pathway from social media usage to entrepreneurial opportunity recognition and exploitation.   Method: The authors surveyed 185 entrepreneurs in Manipur, India. Our study applied quantitative approaches to process data through PLS SEM.   Results: The results of our study reveal that social media significantly enhances both entrepreneurial opportunity recognition and exploitation, as well as prior knowledge. However, Contrary to expectations, prior knowledge negatively influences entrepreneurial opportunity recognition and exploitation. Further, social media positively affects entrepreneurial alertness and has a significant impact on expanding social networks. However, the unexpected negative relationship between social networks and entrepreneurial opportunity recognition and exploitation was observed.   Conclusion: In the context of Manipur, India, our study highlights social media’s pivotal role in boosting entrepreneurial opportunity recognition and exploitation, alongside positively affecting prior knowledge and alertness. However, the unexpected negative influence of prior knowledge and the surprising negative relationship between social networks and opportunities necessities further investigation

    The Influence of Workload and Rewards on Employee Performance at the Regional Drinking Water Company in Depok City Through Job Satisfaction as an Intervening Variable

    Purpose: The objectives of this research are: To determine the effect of workload on employee performance at the Depok City Regional Drinking Water Company. To determine the effect of Rewards on Employee Performance at the Depok City Regional Drinking Water Company. To determine the effect of workload on job satisfaction at the Regional Drinking Water Company in Depok City.   Theoretical framework: Research study approach in the model of Rewards, workload model, and Job Satisfaction model on Employee Performance.   Design/methodology/approach: The type of research carried out in this research is descriptive research using survey methods. Using a saturated sampling technique, a sample of 84 employees at the Depok City Regional Drinking Water Company was taken. The analysis method in this research was carried out using the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The model used is multiple regression analysis.   Findings: The results of this research show that: 1) Workload influences employee performance. 2) Rewards influence employee performance. 3) Workload influences job satisfaction. 4) Rewards influence Job Satisfaction. 5) Job satisfaction has no effect on employee performance. 6) Workload has no effect on employee performance and its impact on job satisfaction. 7) Rewards have no effect on employee performance which has an impact on job satisfaction.   Research, Practical & Social implications: The study recommended several recommendations, among which; Companies need to carry out a comprehensive evaluation regarding the workload given to employees. Ensure that the workload given is in accordance with employee capacity and abilities. Provide training and development to employees to improve skills and efficiency in completing their tasks. Management needs to assess the need for additional personnel if the existing workload is too heavy for existing employees.   Originality/value: The value of the study is to provide a clear outlook regarding how to companies need to review their existing reward systems to ensure that they are fair and motivating to employees. Consider providing rewards based on real performance achievements and based on clear criteria. Ensure that the salaries and allowances given to employees comply with applicable standards, such as the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) that applies in the region

    Supervision of Village Financial Management: will it be in Parallel with the Development of Village Officials? (a Study of North Sumatra Province)

    Objectives: The objectives of this research are to analyze the implementation of an effective supervisory model in the financial management of the village so that there is no corruption in the village's finances. And to analyze the evaluation of the effective financial supervision model of that village.   Theoretical Framework: Agency theory is the grand theory in this study related to village financial management. The theory used for supervision is Accountability and Principal Agent Models, supported by the use of corruption detection theory and the government's Internal Control System.   Method: Researchers chose qualitative descriptive research because its practice is not limited to collecting and classifying data; it also includes analyzing and interpreting the meaning of data. The types of data collected are primary data and secondary data. As from the primary in this study are the words and actions of the people being observed.   Results and conclusion: Implementation of effective supervision models in the administration of the villages' finances requires a combination of strategies such as improved government audits, enhanced participation of the grassroots, increased transparency and accountability, improved supervision, the provision of guidance and training, and the use of technology. These strategies can help prevent financial corruption and ensure that village funds are used for the benefit of the public.   Originality/value/novelty: The novelty of this research suggests that supervision does not stand alone, but must go hand in hand with the coaching process. supervision accompanied by proper coaching will create effective village financial management so as to reduce the occurrence of corruption in village financial management

    Performance Transformation Through Understanding the Quality of Employee Relationships at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Bone Regency

    Purpose: The research aims to analyze the impact of Relationship Quality between employees and the organization on individual and overall organizational performance at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Bone Regency.   Theoretical Framework: The investigation is anchored in the paradigm that Relationship Quality—characterized by trust, commitment, and satisfaction—plays a crucial role in enhancing both individual and organizational efficacy. The study theorizes that a robust relationship quality leads to improved job satisfaction, loyalty, and professional development, thereby influencing performance outcomes.   Method: A qualitative descriptive methodology was employed, segregating the collected data into primary and secondary categories. Primary data were gathered through observations and interviews, while secondary data were compiled from intermediary sources such as written documents. The data underwent a rigorous process of reduction, display, and verification to ensure comprehensive analysis and authenticity.   Results: The study concludes that the Population and Civil Registration Office of Bone Regency exhibits strong and productive working relationships, with high levels of trust, professionalism, and adaptability among employees. Despite the prevalence of high job satisfaction, the need for revisiting the compensation scheme was identified as a factor for further improvement.   Conclusion: The research advocates for the advancement of trust, adaptability, and professionalism through continuous training and effective communication. It also suggests that implementing a compensation satisfaction survey and a performance-based incentive scheme will enhance employee dedication and performance, fostering sustainable organizational growth.   Originality/Value: This study contributes to the existing literature by providing empirical insights into the significance of Relationship Quality in public sector organizations, particularly within the Population and Civil Registration Office of Bone Regency, which has scarcely been examined. The findings underscore the potential of strategic HR initiatives in bolstering organizational performance
