Public Opinion Dynamics on Twitter: A Preliminary Analysis of Conversations Related to the 2024 General Election in Indonesia
Get PDFObjective: Public opinion research related to general elections in Indonesia previously focused more on when the campaign period was officially carried out. In fact, before the official campaign period takes place, it is the right time to invite the public to actively participate in politics. In this article, we conducted research on conversations on Twitter (X) related to the 2024 general election “Pemilu 2024”. The research was conducted to determine the topic of conversation and the actors who played a role in the conversation.
Method: This research used social network analysis on social media Twitter (X) as method to analyze conversation about “Pemilu 2024”. There were 38,570 tweets collected from all over Indonesia using the keyword combination 2024 Election “Pemilu 2024” from January to March 2023.
Results: The results of social network analysis show that there were 6,275 hashtags used with 7,244 users involved in the conversation. The topics that emerged were dominated by the public's hopes for holding the “Pemilu 2024”, the names of figures, political parties, supporters of President Jokowi, the Election Supervisory Body and the General Election Commission. SNA was also used to assess network characteristics and found that the “Pemilu 2024” network had a non-centralized structure. In other words, the public has its own opinions. The influential actors based on the score of centrality are @aboebakar15, @NasDem, @RakyatBerisik. Meanwhile, the influential actors based on degree are @jokowi @cakimiNOW and @KPU_ID. Apart from that, there are accounts that are bubblereachers, namely @KPU_ID, @Bawaslu, @jpnncom.
Conclusions: In the context of conversations regarding the “Pemilu 2024”, Twitter users (X) apparently show different behavior in showing agreement. In future practice, it is hoped that accounts that become bubblereachers will not only follow the principles of information usefulness, but also apply the principles of dialogic communication. By implementing dialogical communication, public opinion can be influenced and ultimately public involvement in politics can also be affected. Twitter users (X) use the favorite feature more often than retweets. It is hoped that the implications of this research can become a reference for practitioners in the field of political communication and policy makers in order to increase public participation in politics
The influence of Customer Expectation, Perceived Enjoyment, Perceived Ease of Use, and customer satisfaction on Repurchase Intention of vidio.com Streaming Service Providers
Get PDFObjective: This research was conducted to find out whether Customer expectation (EXP), user satisfaction (SAT), Perceived Enjoyment (PE), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) influence each other and also influence repurchase intention (RPI) on the Vidio.com streaming service site. This research is modified because it uses an existing theory but uses a different object.
Methods: This study used a quantitative method using questionnaires. This study has a population of 34.052 (thirty four thousand fifty two) Telkom University students and the questionnaire was distributed to a sample of 379 (three hundred seventy nine) Telkom University students using a purposive sampling. The analytical method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) that based on variance (partial least squares).
Results: The research results obtained show that customer expectation and customer expectation have a positive and significant influence on perceived ease of use partially. Customer expectation, perceived enjoyment, and perceived ease of use have a positive and significant influence on satisfaction partially. Perceived ease of use has a positive and significant influence on perceived enjoyment. Satisfaction and perceived enjoyment have a positive and significant influence on repurchase intention partially. But perceived ease of use does not have positively and significant influence on repurchase intention.
Conclusions: The vidio.com site provider must continue to improve service quality, product quality and site design quality to meet customer expectations, increase perceived enjoyment, provide its own chat room, provide better and newest products, and also maintain good relations with consumers so that consumers will feel satisfied and interested in making repeat purchases. For future researchers who want to research the same material, they should add or replace several variables such as perceived usefulness, perceived quality, perceived emotional value, perceived social value, etc, and also change the broader research object so that they can find out the factors that can influence consumer repurchase intention for a product or service
Gender Equality in Indigenous Peoples in Indonesia (Challenges and Efforts Towards the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals)
Get PDFObjective: Gender equality is an important issue that the government frequently overlooks. Gender equality does not imply that women must be equal to men, but rather that women have the same rights, responsibilities, and opportunities as men in various fields. The facts show that Indigenous Women, as marginalized people, continue to face various injustices and discrimination in various parts of the world, including Indonesia. This paper attempted to analyze various problems and efforts to achieve gender equality for indigenous women in Indonesia in accordance with the principles agreed upon by Indonesia in the Sustainable Development Goals in 2030.
Method: This study is a type of descriptive qualitative research in which various qualitative data obtained from the study literature were examined and then described descriptively in order to reach a conclusion.
Result: The results of the study concluded that gender equality, particularly for indigenous women in Indonesia, had not been properly implemented because the division of inheritance, position, and political rights of indigenous women in various regions of Indonesia had not shown justice. Indonesia also still has some unresolved tasks until now, for example, the policy of strengthening international principles to protect indigenous peoples and indigenous women such as the principle of Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) and the Ratification of the Bill on Indigenous Peoples which is expected to accommodate indigenous women's rights in Indonesia.
Conclusion: Based on the discussion above, it can be concluded that gender equality has not been properly implemented in Indonesia, particularly for indigenous women, because research findings show that the division of inheritance, position and political rights of indigenous women in various regions of Indonesia has not received justice. Indonesia also has several responsibilities that have yet to be completed, such as policies to strengthen international principles to protect indigenous peoples and indigenous women.Objetivo: A igualdade de gênero é uma questão importante que o governo frequentemente ignora. A igualdade de género não implica que as mulheres devem ser iguais aos homens, mas sim que elas têm os mesmos direitos, responsabilidades e oportunidades que os homens em vários domínios. Os factos mostram que as mulheres indígenas, enquanto pessoas marginalizadas, continuam a enfrentar várias injustiças e discriminações em várias partes do mundo, incluindo a Indonésia. Este documento tentou analisar vários problemas e esforços para alcançar a igualdade de gênero para as mulheres indígenas na Indonésia de acordo com os princípios acordados pela Indonésia nos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável em 2030.
Método: Este estudo é um tipo de pesquisa qualitativa descritiva em que vários dados qualitativos obtidos da literatura de estudo foram examinados e descritos descritivamente, a fim de chegar a uma conclusão.
Resultado: Os resultados do estudo concluíram que a igualdade de gênero, especialmente para as mulheres indígenas na Indonésia, não tinha sido adequadamente implementada porque a divisão da herança, posição e direitos políticos das mulheres nativas em várias regiões da Indonésia não tinha demonstrado justiça. A Indonésia ainda tem algumas tarefas até agora não resolvidas, por exemplo, a política de reforço dos princípios internacionais para a protecção dos povos indígenas e das mulheres, como o princípio do consentimento livre, prévio e informado (FPIC) e a ratificação do projeto de lei sobre os povos autóctones, que deverá adaptar-se aos direitos das mulheres indígenas na Indonésia.
Conclusión: Com base na discussão acima, pode-se concluir que a igualdade de gênero não foi adequadamente implementada na Indonésia, especialmente para as mulheres indígenas, porque os resultados da investigação mostram que a divisão da herança, posição e direitos políticos das mulheres nativas em várias regiões da Indonésia não recebeu justiça. A Indonésia também tem várias responsabilidades que ainda não foram cumpridas, como as políticas de reforço dos princípios internacionais para a protecção dos povos indígenas e das mulheres
Confluence of Board Members' Financial Literacy, Corporate Environmental Disclosure, and Financial Reporting Quality
Get PDFObjective: This study aim to explores the interesting relationship between the financial literacy of board members, earnings management (EM), and corporate environmental disclosure (CED) in Malaysian listed manufacturing companies.
Theoretical framework: We mainly address the implications of this relationship for business stakeholders and for promoting a healthy economic simulation.
Research Methods: Robust sample of 258 Malaysian manufacturing listed companies from 2016 to 2021, providing 1290 firm-year observations. A noticeable negative significance is seen when the board's financial literacy variable interacts with the link between CED and EM.
Result: This study discovered a significantly positive link between CED and EM. This result implies that CED reduces EM practises when board members are financially literate.
Conclusion: These findings highlight how important it is for qualified board members to define the association between CED and earnings manipulation (EM). They stress the value of having a well-qualified board to lessen earnings manipulation and the necessity of managers responding to CED initiatives. This is pivotal for stakeholders who aspire to make well-informed decisions, build trust, and foster sustainable practices within the business ecosystem, ultimately contributing to a more resilient and prosperous economic landscape

No full textObjective: This article analyzes the contrasts in approaches to international arbitration between common law and civil law countries, based on a review of the academic literature. The differences between these legal systems affect the interpretation and application of arbitration rules, especially with regard to the enforcement of foreign awards and the interaction between domestic and arbitral tribunals. Among the points analyzed, the following stand out: the gap in the provisions of the UNCITRAL Model Law, the influence of precedents in common law, the particularities of the jura novit curia principle in specific jurisdictions, and the flexibility of arbitral tribunals compared to domestic ones.
Method: Authors such as Bhatia and Candlin (2004), Strong (2009, 2012), Viegas de Freitas Monteiro (2013), and Haikola (2013) offer diverse perspectives on how cultural and legal differences shape arbitration practices.

Methods: The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis methods. The research design is descriptive, namely finding facts and interpretations by accurately describing the nature of several phenomena related to the implementation of policies on the appointment of state treasury officials to the Work Unit within the Ministry of Religion of Ciamis Regency.
Result and Conclusion: The right policy from the frontline implementer means the right policy from the policy implementer itself, where discretion itself can be interpreted as decisions and / or actions determined and / or carried out by government officials to overcome concrete problems faced in the administration of government in terms of laws and regulations that provide choices, not regulate, incomplete or unclear, and/or the existence of government stagnation. Modelling of Constructed Wetland Using Numerical Methods
Get PDFPurpose: This research intends to compare two numerical method models, which are Runge-Kutta and by using HYDRUS software.
Theoretical reference: One of the consequences of human population that grows rapidly is the increase of human activity, along with the increase of pollutant that flows into water bodies. Water pollution is a significant environmental issue that threatens the health of ecosystems and human populations worldwide.
Method: To determine a set of parameters of the mechanism in a constructed wetland, a numerical model may be of aid to acquire parameters which represent the mechanism of pollutant removal in it.
Result and Conclusion: This study yields different efficiency of pollutant removal when simulated with HYDRUS and with Runge-Kutta. The differences in the effectivity results in HYDRUS and Runge-Kutta might be caused by the detail of simulated mechanism, where HYDRUS considers the mechanism happened in soil column, while Runge-Kutta only focuses on the water column.
Implication of research: In order to observe the effectivity of a constructed wetland, a numerical model may be used. The parameters needed to represent the environment and properties of both the plants and soil can be obtained by building a demonstration plot.

The Effects of Sustainable Hospitality Supply Chain on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Repurchase Intentions
Get PDFPurpose: Sustainability is seen as an activity that promotes organizational growth through customer satisfaction. The current trend suggests that customers have high concerns about sustainability in the hospitality sector. The focused of this study looked into the sustainable hospitality supply chain impact on customer satisfaction and customer repurchase of hospitality services.
Methods: Utilizing data obtained from customers patronizing any of the hospitality services (hotels accommodation, conferences and restaurants) in Ghana. The study focused on validating and testing a hypothesized model using the SmartPLS tool.
Results and Conclusion: The result indicates a significant positive relationship between all the sustainable dimensions (economic, environmental, and social). These findings suggest that customer satisfaction is influenced by sustainable supply chain dimensions. The findings further revealed that the environmental dimension of sustainability provides a direct and significant relationship to customer repurchase of hospitality services, but the economic and social dimensions influence customer repurchase of hospitality services through customer satisfaction.
Implication of Research: The findings of this study will enable practitioners and policymakers to understand sustainability practices in hospitality firms and assist them to prioritize, align or realign their limited resources on the sustainable dimensions since there is varying degree of impact of each dimension.
Originality/Value: This paper adds to the existing findings by demonstrating the larger impact of sustainability in promoting customers retention for hospitality services. The study is unique as it shows the role of customers satisfaction in the relationship between sustainability dimension and customers retention for hospitality services. It provides evidence that sustainability dimensions is not a direct consequence of customer retention unless there is sufficient customer satisfaction for that sustainable dimension
