INVESTIGATING THE EFFECTIVITY OF PROMOTING ELECTRIC VEHICLE TO REDUCE AIR POLLUTION: AN ANALYSIS OF INDONESIA POWER PLANTS
Purpose: Fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas, release carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases when burned for energy production. Transitioning from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources is essential for addressing climate change, ensuring energy security, protecting the environment, and fostering sustainable economic development. The combination of environmental benefits, technological advancements, and supportive policies makes electric vehicles (EV) a promising and sustainable solution for the future of transportation. In Indonesia, the use of EV is still in its earliest stage, and the popularity of EV in Indonesia is yet very low due to its price and charging problems. The government has introduced some incentives to promote EV to the people, however, the results still yet to come. This paper investigated the effectiveness of EV transition to reduce pollution based on existing power plants in Indonesia.
Methodology: We computed the proportion of renewable power plants from all power plants and used the data of CO2 emissions per kWh of various power plants to analyze the CO2 emission of conventional and EVs using the data of CO2 emissions from fossils.
Findings: We found that 86.8 percent of the electricity used in Indonesia is generated from fossil fuels. However, based on the power consumption rate per km of travel, we found that EVs emit 46 to 49 percent lower CO2 than fossil-powered vehicles for the same travel distance.
Originality/value: Despite the domination of fossil-fueled power plants, promoting EVs can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Indonesia

The Essence of Supervision of Registration of Individual Company Legal Entities for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
Objectif: The MSME Law mandates the government and regional governments to provide support in various aspects, including funding, facilities, business information, partnerships, licensing, trade promotion and institutional support, in line with a people's economic system that requires participation from all levels of society. The aim is to describe the legal entity form of an individual company.
Methodology: This research is a type of normative juridical research.
Conclusion: The efficiency of monitoring individual company registration for MSEs is determined by its ability to generate profits and maximize legal benefits. This involves controlling and monitoring the benefits or profits obtained by the subject at large. Efficient monitoring is related to marginal Pareto efficiency and Kaldor-Hicks systematization of efficiency for more communal purposes. It is important that the procedures, requirements and implementation aspects of supervision can be implemented effectively. This ensures that the benefits of the law can be captured and maximized by its users
TOWARDS THE ISSO CERTIFICATION OF A VALUES MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: CASE OF CORPORATES IN NORTHERN MOROCCO
Purpose: The objective of this paper is to discuss the dialectic of a professionalization beyond certification versus a certification-based professionalization, as well as the challenges facing the standard implementation of a VMS as part of a High Level Structure (HLS) certification.
Design/methodology/data analysis: We conducted this research using a qualitative method as part of a constructivist epistemological position, resorting intensely to the case method to process relevant data extracted from a sample of twelve companies, while using face-to-face semi-structured interviews to analyse data on a case-by-case basis, then cross-sectionally before announcing the research results.
Findings: Based on the twelve companies we have processed, there is a collective need for adopting an implementable VMS as part of HLS certification, whose responsibility must be in charge of the HR process in collaboration with quality.
Originality/value: This paper sheds light on the prospective possibility of building and implementing a VMS standard as part of ISO certification. Noticeably, there are timid efforts made in the process of switching towards the ISO certification of ethical standards under the framework of HLS.
Practical implications: We suggest that, in the upcoming years, ISO committees could re-bring to the table ethical discussions upon issuing a certifying standard focusedly axed on a system of management by values

Results and Conclusion:The stock market has investors from all categories of people. Most of them are aged between 20 and 40. We see that having more disposable income is increasing the chances of investing in stock market. As less income people struggle to satisfy their basic needs and have less disposable income. It is observed that most of investors are investing in multiple stocks and not in one bucket. They are interested in diversifying the risks. While investing they are spending time to gather information from all resources. At the time of investment more emphasis is on Growth of company and EPS. Most of the investors not looking at the financial ratios before making decision of investment in stock market. Hence, there is further chance of study to understand why some of the investors not looking at the financial ratios and why taking decision based on different parameters and how they are getting benefited.
Implications of research:Earlier research papers, and studies considered the technical ratio analysis to get the maximum profits, and did the sentiment analysis of the investors, but studies did not consider the opinion of the investors in terms of selection of ratios used for making the investment and get the maximum returns and which financial ratios actually impacted the returns of the investors in the stock market. So, it is the gap of the study.

Communication, Proactivity, and Participation as The Media to Reduce Juvenile Delinquency: the Dayah Education
Purpose: The study aims at scrutinizing how the dayah education system develops social capital for students. The objective of this study is also to investigate the ways the social capital in the dayah education system is used for reducing adolescent delinquent behaviours. Hopefully, this study can help inspire other education institutions in efforts to reduce delinquency in adolescence.
Theoretical reference: Social capital in an educational institution can be measured from three indicators including 1) trust and mutual relations, 2) values and norms, and 3) proactive attitudes and social participation (Adam, 2003; Coleman, 1988; Field, 2003; Fukuyama, 2001; Putnam 1993; 2000). Adolescent delinquency is caused by the inability of oneself to reduce their aggressive, violent, and sadistic feelings. It is the output of their lack of emotional maturity and self-concept. Adolescents with low emotional maturity and self-control tend to be reckless and naughty. They fail to develop the essential elements of emotional maturity including self-control, independence, and self-acceptance (see Hurlock, 1996). In the dayah environment, various elements interact with each other involving leaders, teachers, students, curriculum, and facilities.
Method: Using a qualitative research design, this longitudinal case study sought to scrutinize the education system in dayah for developing social capital. This study also investigated how dayah reduces adolescent delinquency via social capital. This longitudinal ethnographic study was conducted for two years from 2021 to 2023.
Results: The findings of this study have shown that dayah educational institution in the development of social capital can be used as a means of: 1) growing social capital through character education, and 2) growing social capital with proactive and participatory attitudes. The followings are the social capital of dayah for reducing adolescent delinquency: 1) trust as social capital for reducing adolescent delinquency, 2) instilling islamic teachings for reducing adolescent delinquency, 3) proactive and participatory attitudes for reducing adolescent social delinquency.
Conclusion: Social capital development in the dayah is done via moral and character education based on Islamic religious values. It is also endorsed by the proactive and participatory attitudes of the students and the surrounding community. In cultivating the students’ moral character, the dayah curriculum teaches character-based knowledge such as tawhid, fiqh, morals, tarbiyah, and Islamic history. In addition, moral and character values based on Islamic teachings are holistically integrated in academic and non-academic activities. Those are instilled in supervision and coaching, adab and ethics teaching, worship and sunnah practices, and self-development that promotes cooperation and mutual help.
Implications of research: As a suggestion for reducing adolescent delinquency and ensuring the development of social capital, educational institutions especially Islamic boarding schools, must be able to revive an academic culture that can grow trust and mutual relations, values and norms, and proactive attitudes.
Originality/value: Researchers examine Dayah's social capital as a built environment seen as a whole from the elements contained in Dayah such as; ash (leader), teachers, students, facilities, infrastructure, curriculum and extra-curriculum learning methods, the role and participation of alumni and parents of students who are the capital to reduce delinquent behavior in teenagers. This is different from previous research which focused on the role of Teungku Dayah as an agent in growing social capital. This research also contributes new ideas in the development of social capital-based Dayah, considering the importance of Dayah in Acehnese society whose role is not only in developing students with good morals but also being directly involved in community activities
CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVING MANAGEMENT AND REGULATION OF THE RAIL TRANSPORT SECTOR IN INDONESIA: PERSPECTIVE FROM THE INDUSTRY 4.0 CONCEPT
Objective: The research aims to uncover the causes of train accidents in Indonesia beyond those identified by experts and proposes solutions for inclusion in the regulations and standard operating procedures of the Indonesian Railways Company.
Theoretical Framework: The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), operating under the UN Economic and Social Council since its establishment in 1947, has introduced the Industry 4.0 concept, titled 'Increasing the Competitiveness of Transportation between Europe and Asia: European Union Rail R&I. This concept incorporates three crucial indicators known as ACT (Aging, Climate Change, and Technology), aligned with the Railway Sustainable Development Goals.
Method: This research employs a qualitative approach, gathering data through in-depth interviews using purposive sampling. Interview reviews are presented in the results section. The study involved 28 participants, focusing on the cities of Palembang and Lampung, situated on the tip of the island of Sumatra, bordering the island of Java.
Results and Conclusions: The study identified seven themes for inclusion: The development of Railways in Indonesia; Organizational strengths and weaknesses; Human resources; Infrastructure; Operational aspects; Causal factors in train accidents, and Future solutions and contributions to regulation. These were then simplified into three themes following UNECE guidelines. Notably, the main issues with freight trains, primarily used for coal transportation, include an inadequate number of carriages, damage to rails and train sleepers, and excessive cargo loads, leading to frequent train derailments and accidents. The law regulates general provisions for rail freight transportation, but violations are common, and sanctions are minimal due to the state-owned nature of the managing company.
Research Implications: This study suggests measures to enhance regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Indonesian Railways Company, including adapting regulations and SOPs to improve the operational safety of goods trains. This involves modernizing signaling systems and addressing human errors, particularly during night shifts. Recommendations also cover optimizing single-path and double-path routes, proposing regulations for the adaptation of automatic control systems, and improving the Grade of Automation (GOA). Ensuring the safety of personnel, especially operators and machinists, is emphasized.
Originality/Value: This research explores the paradigm shift within Indonesia Railways, transitioning from GOA 0 to GOA 1. Anticipated to significantly impact the safety of goods (coal) trains, this study offers profound insight into the evolution of transportation governance for freight transport by rail. Both the government and Indonesia Railways can consider integrating these findings into regulations or SOPs, despite facing challenges such as funding constraints and the high cost associated with upgrading to GOA 2 infrastructure
