Ventajas competitivas sostenibles en empresas agropecuarias en Colombia
El desarrollo económico y la competitividad, origina que las empresas conozcan con claridad sus elementos, recursos y capacidades para el diseño estratégico, constituyendo ventajas competitivas, perdurables a través del tiempo, articulándose con algún aspecto vinculado con la sostenibilidad y sustentabilidad. La presente investigación busca analizar las ventajas competitivas de empresas agrícolas desde la perspectiva de la sostenibilidad y sustentabilidad. La metodología de investigación utilizada en este estudio fue el análisis descriptivo y enfoque cuantitativo, a fin de indagar las especificidades de procesos, experiencias y trayectorias de empresas agrícolas de Colombia. Los resultados evidencian un rango medio de conocimiento de elementos, recursos y capacidades. Esto podría exponer, por lo permeable que son este tipo de organizaciones, a cambios o sucesos que frecuentemente acontecen en el ambiente externo, especialmente en tiempos de incertidumbre económica. Se concluye lo necesario de la claridad de los agronegocios sobre los elementos, recursos y capacidades, para saber qué estrategia implementar, posibilitando la generación de ventajas competitivas
Assessing erosion and sediment removal in the Isla Salamanca coastal barrier: implications for the Barranquilla-Ciénaga highway and coastal marine biodiversity – Colombia
The Isla Salamanca coastal barrier on the Colombian Caribbean coast faces significant erosion, driven by climate change-induced, sea level rise and human activities such as highway construction. The Barranquilla-Ciénaga highway, particularly at kilometers 19 and 29, is at risk, with severe consequences for the region’s socio-economic and environmental well-being. Human interventions like the highway construction and seawall installations have disrupted the natural coastal dynamics, leading to increased erosion rates. The study, conducted between 2004 and 2021, reveals that the Isla Salamanca coastal barrier is experiencing substantial transgression, with erosion rates peaking at -16.1 m·yr− 1. The highway protection measures, with seawall construction, have proven inadequate, exacerbating erosion downstream. The mangrove loss due to hydrological changes and increased salinity is further threatening the fragile ecosystem. The research emphasizes the importance of considering biodiversity loss in the context of rapid erosion rates. The region, declared a Ramsar Site and Biosphere Reserve, hosts vital ecosystems like mangroves and dunes, whose destruction negatively impacts marine biodiversity. The study suggests the relocation of the highway, acknowledging the challenges of preserving wetlands and mangroves in the process. Balancing the need for infrastructure with ecological preservation is essential, and the study proposes comprehensive solutions, including shoreline management, ecosystem-based protection, and community involvement. The goal is to mitigate erosion’s adverse effects on biodiversity, habitat integrity, and the overall health of this ecologically sensitive region

solutions for abstract difference equations of convolution type. Furthermore, we
present illustrative examples to highlight our key findings
Comparative analysis of academic, behavioral, and psychophysiological variables in male and female vocational training students
Background/Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate whether or not there are notable differences between male and female vocational training students in terms of academic, behavioral, and psychophysiological characteristics. Methods: A total of 411 vocational training students, 210 of whom were male and 201 of whom were female, participated in an online survey that assessed academic, behavioral, and psychophysiological patterns. Results: In terms of extraversion and openness to experience, our research revealed that no statistically significant differences were noticed. When it came to agreeableness, however, significant differences were seen, with female students getting higher marks than male students. Furthermore, we found that there were significant gender differences in terms of neuroticism and conscientiousness, with female students achieving higher scores than male students. When compared to their male counterparts, females displayed higher performance in terms of academic success. They also demonstrated superior values in terms of reported stress, anxiety, and cognitive inflexibility. Conclusions: The findings of this study provide a more in-depth understanding of the numerous factors that have an impact on students engaging in vocational training. This will serve as a foundation for the development of individualized instructional and support programs
Analyzing correlations in sustainable tourism perception: statistical insights from diverse caribbean colombian tourist sites
This paper provides an overview of ecotourism, emphasizing the connection between tourism and sustainability. This research aimed to conduct a correlational analysis of sustainable tourism perception across five different tourist sites in northern Colombia. These sites have distinctive attributes and activities. 125 surveys through tourists and stakeholders were completed, and statistical analysis was conducted using the Pearson coefficient to measure users' perceptions regarding various components of sustainable tourism. The research incorporated an interdisciplinary evaluation of sustainable tourism elements. The findings underscore the potential of the Colombian northern region as a natural tourism destination, underscoring the importance of understanding user perceptions for informed sustainable planning and management
Exploring the synergy of ionic liquids and lipase in sustainable enzymatic engineering
Ionic liquids (ILs) are widely used in many applications. Still, their use in enzyme engineering is particularly notable due to their environmentally friendly nature and efficient replacement of conventional organic solvents. Recently, lipase has emerged as an environmentally friendly catalyst. Nevertheless, using Lipases in the presence of ILs has led to a remarkable activity enhancement, making it a sustainable and non-harmful approach. This study conducted a bibliometric review of research articles published between 2010 and 2022 concerning the use of ILs in lipase-catalyzed reactions. The analysis was based on 206 publications retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoS) database., which were analyzed using different software tools, such as VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and ArcGIS. Key findings included that over half of the publications originated from other countries, notably China (around 36.4%), the United States, Spain, and France. As a result of this bibliometric analysis, four emerging trends were identified: namely: i) lipase-catalyzed synthesis, ii) the use of deep eutectic solvent, iii) the application of ILs in secondary alcohol reactions, iv) the use of ILs as green solvents, and iv) the enzymatic ring-opening polymerization. The study also evaluated the most prominent authors, articles, and institutions that provide comprehensive data on up-to-date research on ILs and lipases. It is noted that the studies identify significant advantages in this field, showing a positive trend of promising results, especially with the development of improved and environmentally friendly processes

Effective multi-attribute group decision-making approach to study astronomy in the probabilistic linguistic q-rung orthopair fuzzy VIKOR framework
This study employs a novel fuzzy logic-based framework to address multi-attribute group decision-making problems commonly encountered in modern astronomy. Our approach utilizes the probabilistic linguistic q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (PLq-ROFS) to handle the inherent uncertainties associated with astronomical data. The PLq-ROFS offers significant advantages over existing fuzzy sets like probabilistic hesitant, linguistic intuitionistic, and linguistic Pythagorean fuzzy sets, which comprise both stochastic and non-stochastic uncertainties simultaneously. To aggregate the probabilistic linguistic decision information effectively, we propose two novel operators: the PLq-ROF weighted power average (PLq-ROFWPA) and the PLq-ROF weighted power geometric (PLq-ROFWPG). These operators form the foundation of a novel method within the PLq-ROF environment. Furthermore, this study integrates the PLq-ROF framework with the VIseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) model, a widely used decision-making (DM) tool known for its ability to balance group utility maximization with individual regret minimization. This integration leads to the PLq-ROF-VIKOR model, a novel approach for ranking alternative solutions based on the subjective preferences of decision-makers. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through a real-world case study in astronomy, accompanied by both parameter and comparative analyses. These analyses highlight the efficiency and accuracy of the PLq-ROF-VIKOR model, ultimately leading to the conclusion that cosmology is the most optimal key finding in this case study
Estudio de las propiedades del yeso reforzado con fibras de maguey para su aplicación en construcción
This research analyzes the properties of gypsum with added maguey fiber as an alternative for sustainable construction, evaluating its viability in construction applications. The performance was compared against fiber variations in different laboratory tests. Samples of gypsum without fiber addition and gypsum reinforced with maguey fiber at 10% and 17% were prepared and subjected to the aforementioned laboratory tests under different loading and temperature conditions. The tests conducted included compression, unit mass, absorption, flexion, flame point, and combustion, carried out in the laboratories of the University of the Coast and the University of the North. The results show that the mixtures with maguey fiber significantly improve mechanical strength compared to the gypsum samples without fiber, especially under critical load conditions and elevated temperatures. These findings suggest the potential use of maguey fiber as a sustainable and effective alternative in construction, highlighting its capacity to withstand adverse conditions and reduce dependence on high-impact environmental materials.En la presente investigación se analizó las propiedades del yeso con agregado de fibra de maguey como alternativa para la construcción sostenible, evaluando así su viabilidad en aplicaciones de construcción. Se comparó su desempeño frente a las variaciones de fibra en los diferentes ensayos de laboratorio, se prepararon muestras de yeso sin añadido de fibra y yeso reforzado con la fibra de maguey con el 10% y 17% respectivamente, se sometieron a las antes mencionadas pruebas de laboratorio bajo diferentes condiciones de carga y temperatura. Los ensayos realizados fueron: compresión, masa unitaria, absorción, flexión, punto de flama y combustión en las instalaciones de los laboratorios de la Universidad de la Costa y la Universidad del Norte. Los resultados muestran que las mezclas con fibra de maguey mejoran significativamente la resistencia mecánica en comparación con las muestras de yeso sin la fibra, especialmente bajo condiciones de carga crítica y condiciones de temperatura elevadas. Examination of interactions between heavy metals and benzotriazoles in rainwater runoff and snowmelt in an urban catchment in Poland
Heavy metals (HMs) are toxic pollutants that can accumulate and harm human health and the environment. Monitoring their concentration in water is an essential tool for evaluating the quality and safety of this vital resource. The aims of this study were (i) to characterize HMs contamination in rainwater runoff and snowmelt, identify likely sources and compliance with regulations and guidelines, and (ii) to conduct a preliminary assessment regarding the potential link between the occurrence of HMs and benzotriazoles based on a previous experiment. This study investigates the concentration of six HMs (cadmium, lead, nickel, chromium, copper, and zinc) in rainwater runoff and snowmelt samples collected in twelve Białystok locations in northeastern Poland. The highest concentration of Cu (517.5 μg/L) was identified in snowmelt from the city's ring road, with heavy vehicle traffic, and near an industrial area. A 4-lane asphalt street near the city center exhibited the highest concentrations of Pb (91.1 μg/L) and Ni (64.6 μg/L) for snowmelt and also for Cd (1.37 μg/L) and Ni (27.3 μg/L) in rainwater runoff. A snowmelt sample from a pedestrian-only area in the city center presented the highest Zn concentration (3672.2 μg/L). Considerable contents of Cr (353.2 μg/L) were found in snowmelt near an industrial and warehousing area. Snowmelt presented higher HMs concentrations than rainwater runoff. Our results indicate that most benzotriazoles and heavy metals occur independently. The analysis of the winds and the tendency of HMs to travel with dust particles suggest that specific contaminants might have originated in Belarus, a neighboring territory of Białystok
